Bien que ce soient de réalités et de situations totalement distincts, ces sujets construisent les processus de résistance et ils trouvent, malgré toutes les difficultés, des façons de re-signifier la vie et construire nouvelles relations, dynamiques culturelles et politiques qui contribuent à leurs processus de lutte et d affirmation d autres façons d être dans le monde. Étant donné des perceptions, émotions et conjonctures historiques, culturelles et sociales, l intérêt pour l'étude mise en évidence fait partie de la nécessité de mieux comprendre les perspectives liées aux récits de l'univers social, partant d'un contexte dans lequel ils transitent et suggèrent une analyse de leur marche. Comme une approche au thème, le Projet Vies Parallèles Migrants, dans leur réalisation, développement et déploiement des Bureaux des Droits de L'homme et de la Photographie a favorisé la participation dans un projet que trouve consolider la coopération scientifique multilatérale entre les universités du Brésil et de France, en associant des compétences interdisciplinaires au sujet de la migration de sujets issus de milieux défavorisés, l'objectif est d'étudier les représentations et les significations des migrants par rapport à leur vie quotidienne, en vue de comprendre les dimensions sociales, politiques et culturelles de la vie des migrants en tant qu'interface entre les langages artistiques et imaginaires basés sur la vision et le récit propres aux sujets. Par des sources diverses et complémentaires dans l approche du phénomène en question, ce projet a incorpore les instruments de réflexion d une pratique de recherche dont la méthodologie principale c est la Théorie de l Acteur-Réseau Esta pesquisa pretende partilhar o acompanhamento de travessias psicossociais de migrantes na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, fundamentando o objetivo de aproximar questões culturais, de memória e subjetividade refletidas nos corpos em questão. Embora se trate de realidades e situações totalmente distintas, tais sujeitos constroem processos de resistência e encontram, apesar de todas as dificuldades, formas próprias de ressignificar a vida, construir novas relações e dinâmicas culturais e políticas que contribuem para seus processos de luta e afirmação de outros modos de ser e estar no mundo. Dadas as percepções, emoções e conjunturas históricas, culturais e sociais, o interesse no estudo em tela parte da necessidade de melhor compreensão de perspectivas inter-relacionadas às narrativas no universo social, partindo de um contexto onde os mesmos transitam e sugerem análise de seu caminhar. Como via de aproximação do tema, o Projeto Vidas Paralelas Migrantes, na realização, desenvolvimento e implantação das Oficinas de Direitos Humanos e Fotografia favoreceu à participação em um projeto que visa consolidar uma cooperação multilateral científica entre universidades do Brasil e da França, associando competências interdisciplinares sobre a temática da migração de sujeitos oriundos de meios desfavorecidos, objetiva-se estudar as representações e significações de migrantes em relação ao seu cotidiano, com vistas à compreensão das dimensões sociais, políticas e culturais da vida migrante em interface de linguagens artísticas e imagéticas a partir do olhar e narrativa dos próprios sujeitos. Por meio de fontes diversas e complementares na aproximação do fenômeno em questão, tem-se incorporado instrumentos de reflexão numa prática de pesquisa que tem por principal metodologia a Teoria Ator-Rede

The research was based on the decisions of the National Council of Self-Regulatory Publicity about the complaints submitted by social entities and received by this body. The objective is to ascertain in a practical way an expression of the theories of Serge Moscovici, especially of the Consensual Universe and Reified Universe. The data of the complaints were tabulated in quantitative form. Reflecting from Moscovici and with support from Stuart Hall, the research works on the concepts of representation and culture. It is noteworthy that both theories dialogue with the field of social communication and contribute to the reflection of the relations and implicit and explicit influences in the discourses conveyed in advertising propaganda. For the research, 150 complaints and their respective decisions regarding certain advertising campaigns carried out in the 1995-2015 period, with lapse of 5 in 5 years, and 2010 to 2015, due to the social media about women, not included In the work object the elderly women, children of the girl, as well as the trans women, although they are part of the feminine universe. The contemporaneity and its dynamics are from the political, social, communicational and cultural prism, they explain multiple optics by which the processes of subjectivation are built in society Esta pesquisa no âmbito da obtenção do título de mestre em Psicologia Social, apresenta uma leitura das Representações Sociais da mulher em propagandas publicitárias no Brasil, tanto nas mídias televisivas como nas impressas. A pesquisa tomou por base as decisões do Conselho Nacional de Autorregulamentação Publicitária acerca das reclamações apresentadas por entes sociais e recebidas por este órgão. O objetivo é averiguar de forma prática uma expressão das teorias de Serge Moscovici, em especial do Universo Consensual e Universo Reificado. Os dados das reclamações foram tabulados de forma quantitativa. Refletindo-se a partir de Moscovici e com apoio de Stuart Hall, a pesquisa trabalha os conceitos de representação e cultura. Vale ressaltar que ambas teorias dialogam com o campo da comunicação social e vêm contribuir para a reflexão das relações e de influências implícitas e explícitas nos discursos veiculados na propaganda publicitária. Para a pesquisa foram analisadas 150 reclamações e suas respectivas decisões referentes a determinadas campanhas publicitárias realizadas no espaço temporal de 1995-2015, com lapso de 5 em 5 anos, e de 2010 a 2015, em razão das mídias sociais acerca das mulheres, não inclusas no objeto do trabalho as mulheres idosas, crianças do sexo feminino, assim como as mulheres trans, ainda que façam parte do universo feminino. Therefore, this thesis is based on the hypothesis that creation transcends the artist because it is not the expression of it, but of something that penetrates and surpasses it, that is, a conception of relational aesthetics that must represent an increasingly important part of society. As a general methodological guideline, we opted for field observation and recording. During the four years of research in this thesis, I became involved in the most diverse actions of the Theater of the Oppressed, describing the phenomena under each aspect of observed reality. Parallel to the observations in the field, we chose the method of collecting oral testimonies as a tool to apprehend the effects of the Theater of the Oppressed. Thus, we recorded and analyzed the speech of 16 interlocutors who were divided into two groups. The first one is made up of people who have some involvement with the Theater of the Oppressed and come from Brazil. The second, also has some involvement with the Theater of the Oppressed, but they come from other nationalities. In conclusion, the present thesis will be crossed by the notion of theater as an invitation to the construction of actions and knowledge. An invitation where the human who stages his oppressions in the Theater of the Oppressed is a collective and at the same time singular human, is a political, psychic, social and historical subject: he stages a time, an experience, a determined condition, a desire; Enacts their own representations of oppressive experiences and experiences them in group, a condition in which they potentially make sense, transform and are transformed A presente Tese de Doutorado tem por objetivo analisar as relações entre arte e sociedade, a partir do estudo dos efeitos do método criado por Augusto Boal, denominado Teatro do Oprimido, quer pontuando as indagações sobre o teatro e sua relevância na maneira de existir em sociedade, quer traçando as linhas gerais de como se tem configurado esse movimento. O trabalho parte da hipótese de que a criação transcende o artista porque não é a expressão dele, mas de algo que o penetra e o ultrapassa, ou seja, de uma concepção estético-relacional que deve representar uma parte cada vez mais importante da sociedade. Como orientação metodológica geral, optou-se pela observação e o registro em campo. Durante os quatro anos de desenvolvimento, o pesquisador participou das mais diversas ações do Teatro do Oprimido, descrevendo os fenômenos sob cada aspecto de realidade observada. Paralelo às observações em campo, adotou também o método de coleta de depoimentos orais como ferramenta para apreenderem-se os efeitos do Teatro do Oprimido. Dessa forma, foram registradas e analisadas as falas de 16 interlocutores, divididos em dois grupos: o primeiro constituiu-se por pessoas que possuem algum envolvimento com o Teatro do Oprimido e são oriundas do Brasil; o segundo também possui algum envolvimento com o Teatro do Oprimido, porém são oriundas de outras nacionalidades. Concluindo, a pesquisa aqui desenvolvida será atravessada pela noção do teatro como um convite à construção de ações e saberes. Um convite onde o humano que encena suas opressões no Teatro do Oprimido é um humano coletivo e, ao mesmo tempo, singular. Trata-se de um sujeito político, psíquico, social e histórico que encena um tempo, uma experiência, uma condição determinada, um desejo; encena suas próprias representações das vivências opressoras e as experimenta em grupo, condição em que potencialmente elas ganham sentido, transformam e são transformadas

The research was conducted between 2015 and 2016 and is geographically located at the Municipal School Cervantes, located at Rua Abílio dos Santos 170, in the neighborhood of Bento Ribeiro, Rio de Janeiro, capital, involving students of the 2nd year of Elementary School. The locus of the research will address the ideas and behaviors of empathy, solidarity and gentleness described by the students before the realization of the dynamics, their previous concepts and their daily application and compare with the ideas and behaviors that they present after the application of the dynamics. Thus, the research focuses on the construction of the image of the socioeconomic, cultural territory that will be carried out, a literature review with emphasis on solidarity, empathy, kindness and good actions, and on the description of applied dynamics and analysis of obtained results. The methodology adopted is based on two aspects: the theoretical, with selection, reading and interpretation of the scholars related to the subject, and the empirical one, which brings the practical experiences of the researcher, in order to confirm the hypothesis that to work empathy, solidarity, kindness, and good deeds in school contribute to the citizenship of individuals by developing sociability, mutual respect and readiness to help others when necessary, transforming all social spaces into which this individual enters, including in the school environment, through increased well-being and motivation . The theory speaks with the data collected, in an attempt to bring to the discussion the importance of working the socialization of children in school Partindo do pressuposto de que a escola é um dos primeiros espaços socializa dores o foco desta pesquisa é realizar dinâmicas de grupo, através de debates, discussões, apresentação de vídeos motivacionais e depoimentos verbais e escritos, acerca dos temas: solidariedade, empatia e boas ações. A pesquisa acontece entre os anos 2015 e 2016 e se situa geograficamente na Escola Municipal Cervantes, localizada na Rua Abílio dos Santos 170, no bairro de Bento Ribeiro, Rio de Janeiro, capital, envolvendo alunos do 2º ano do Ensino Fundamental. O lócus da pesquisa abordará as ideias e comportamentos de empatia, solidariedade e gentileza descritos pelos alunos antes da realização das dinâmicas, seus conceitos prévios e sua aplicação cotidiana e comparar com as ideias e comportamentos que apresentam após a aplicação das dinâmicas. A pesquisa volta-se para a construção da imagem do território socioeconômico cultural em que a pesquisa será realizada, uma revisão da literatura com ênfase nos temas solidariedade, empatia, gentileza e boas ações, e na descrição das dinâmicas aplicadas e análise dos resultados obtidos. The objective was to investigate the influence of the Military Culture in the construction of the subjectivity of the military spouses - residents in the Military Village. In particular, we investigated the impacts of the displacements, the moves, to which these families are assigned to and their reactions. The research with this group of people made it possible to broaden the discussion about the construction of subjectivities in contemporary times and about the moves that not only the military personnel and their families are exposed to but also which are visibly observed among this public, by the real question of physical moves. The theories and methods used during the thesis wanted to understand the subject that is built in the relationship with the other, in a process in which the word plays the function of social contact and, thus, language as an essential reference to understand the culture and the way of the considered public. It is a social reality that is not much explored in Social Psychology in Brazil. In order to do so, a hybrid method was proposed, composed of the reports of field experiences and the principles of Discourse Analysis, to analyze the proposed relations. The corpus was composed of fragments of the interviewed women's discourses that allowed to highlight the relationships that are established in this context. The discourses were analyzed by relating the discursive formations in blocks of meaning, describing the context of the relations. The Military Village as a geographical support, is not only a place of housing and work but also a space of leisure and sociability. The study in this territory made it possible to visualize the presence of elements of the Military culture, materialized mainly in the hierarchy, which acts strongly in the social relations of this public and influences the construction of the subjectivities of the military spouses. The Military Family, discursive category presented itself as Social Support, demarcating a belonging that reinforces identity elements. They described the social context, the daily life of these women, their interaction in the territory. It is concluded that in a process of being linked and dissociated, the military spouses, each one appropriates in their own way, the military culture, giving their personal contours. The discourses materialized the presence of the military culture and Army ideology in the construction of the subjectivity of the researched women and denote that they noticed different possibilities and limitations in these processes of changes that the career of the husbands imposes them. It is also concluded that during the years of husbands' studies, women are experiencing a hiatus in their lives and that the strengthening of the bond among them is due to the sharing of similar concrete realities and to the feeling of belonging to an institution with national status, by means of the insertion into the Military Family Esta Tese é o resultado de uma pesquisa realizada na Vila Militar do Rio de Janeiro, a maior da América Latina, com as esposas de oficiais do Exército Brasileiro nos anos de 2014 e 2015. O objetivo foi investigar a influência da Cultura Militar na construção da subjetividade das esposas de militares residentes na Vila Militar. Em especial investigou-se os impactos dos deslocamentos, das mudanças, a que estão sujeitas estas famílias e suas reações. A pesquisa com esse grupo de pessoas possibilitou ampliar a discussão sobre a construção de subjetividades na contemporaneidade e sobre as mudanças a que não só os militares e suas famílias estão expostos, mas que é visivelmente observado nesse público, pela questão concreta das mudanças físicas. As teorias e métodos utilizados durante a Tese buscaram entender o sujeito que se constrói na relação com o outro, num processo em que a palavra desempenha a função de contato social e, dessa forma, a linguagem como referência essencial para entender a cultura e os modo de existência do público estudado. Trata-se de uma realidade social pouco explorada em Psicologia Social no Brasil. Para tanto, foi proposto um método híbrido composto pelo registro das vivências em campo, e os princípios da Análise de Discurso, para analisar as relações propostas. O corpus foi composto por fragmentos dos discursos das mulheres entrevistadas que permitiram evidenciar as relações que se estabelecem nesse contexto. Os discursos foram analisados relacionando as formações discursivas em blocos de sentido, descrevendo o contexto das relações. A Vila Militar como suporte geográfico, não é tão somente um espaço de moradia e trabalho e sim um espaço de lazer e sociabilidade. O estudo nesse território possibilitou visualizar a presença dos elementos da cultura Militar, materializados principalmente na hierarquia, que atua fortemente nas relações sociais desse público e influencia a construção das subjetividades das espoas de militares. A Família Militar, categoria discursiva se apresentou como Suporte Social, demarcando um pertencimento que reforça elementos identitários. Foram descritos o contexto social, o cotidiano dessas mulheres, a interação delas no território. Conclui-se que em um processo de vincular-se e desvincular-se, as esposas de militares, se apropriam cada uma ao seu modo, da cultura militar, dando seus contornos pessoais. Os discursos materializaram a presença da cultura militar e da ideologia do Exército na construção da subjetividade das mulheres pesquisadas e denotam que elas percebem diversas possibilidade e limitações nesses processos de mudanças os quais a carreira dos maridos as impõe. Conclui-se também que durante os anos de estudo dos maridos, as mulheres passam por um hiato em suas vidas e que o fortalecimento do vínculo entre elas se dá por partilharem realidades concretas semelhantes e por se sentirem pertencentes a uma instituição com status nacional, por meio da inserção na Família Militar

This initial question arose another important issue: How should the analyst place themselves in the transference resulting from father demand? The research aimed at clarifying the place of the analyst in the transference, deriving from father demand, as well as the incidence of the paternal function in analysis. The impasse borne in clinical practice caused a concern about the concept of father in psychoanalysis, thus an extensive review of the psychoanalytic theory of the father was conducted, examining the main points of the Freudian and Lacanian theories on the topic. When Lacan distinguished the father function in the three registers - Real, Symbolic and Imaginary - he contributed decisively to define the law of the father in psychoanalysis. The father function, as far as the child´s psychic structuring from the Oedipus outcome is concerned, is a symbolic function. In the transference, the symbolic function of the father safeguards the dimension of the desire, the crucial aspect of the father function in the transference is its consubstantiality with the valuation, its placing essential for desire to happen. After establishing the law of the paternal function in the theories of Freud and Lacan, and the place of the father in the analytical experience, the current master thesis extended into the evaluation of the father's place in contemporary social bond. The decline of paternal authority in current times is an undeniable fact. In this thesis, the factors that corroborated for the decline of the paternal function are analyzed, and the consequences of the father's debacle are questioned, both on the social and on the individual realms. Beyond the vicissitudes resulting from the failing of the paternal function in the social realm, this master thesis investigated the vicissitudes of contemporary psychoanalytic clinical practice correlated with this fact, such as the so-called "new symptoms clinic" A situação problemática que suscitou a feitura da presente dissertação de mestrado nasceu da clínica, pois foi a partir da demanda de pai do analisando de codinome André, que foi levantada a seguinte questão de pesquisa: como se articula a demanda de pai em análise? Essa questão inicial colocou em causa outra importante questão: Como o analista deve se colocar na transferência a partir da demanda de pai? A pesquisa visou elucidar a posição do analista na transferência a partir da demanda de pai e a incidência da função paterna na experiência analítica. Do impasse nascido da clínica, adveio também a inquietação sobre o conceito de pai em psicanálise, portanto, uma extensa revisão da teoria psicanalítica sobre o pai foi realizada, atravessando os principais pontos da teoria freudiana e lacaniana sobre o tema. Lacan, ao distinguir a função paterna nos três registros Real, Simbólico e Imaginário - contribuiu de forma decisiva para definir o estatuto da função paterna na psicanálise. A função do pai, no que concerne à estruturação psíquica da criança a partir do desfecho do Édipo, é uma função simbólica. Na transferência, a função simbólica do pai salvaguarda a dimensão do desejo, o crucial da função do pai na transferência é sua consubstancialidade com a valorização, a colocação em obra da dimensão do desejo. Após estabelecer o estatuto da função paterna na teoria de Freud e de Lacan e o lugar do pai na experiência analítica, a presente dissertação de mestrado se estendeu na avaliação da função paterna no laço social contemporâneo. O declínio da autoridade paterna na atualidade é fato inegável. Na presente dissertação, analisam-se os fatores que corroboraram para a decadência da função paterna e questionam-se as consequências da derrocada do pai, tanto no nível do social quanto no nível do individual. Para além das vicissitudes decorrentes do declínio da função paterna no social, a pesquisa de mestrado investigou as vicissitudes da clínica psicanalítica contemporânea correlacionadas a tal fato, como, por exemplo, a chamada clínica dos novos sintomas

It is a Participatory Action Research (PAR) that materializes concepts such as civil society (Walzer, 1998), new citizenship (Santos, 2010) and citizenship culture (Mockus, 2003) by means of experiential learning strategies, focusing on five intervention realms: personal vision of future, decisions-making, creativity, teamwork and discovery of the city. The ECRO, as the main instrument of this research, aimed at both changing some children s attitudes and behaviors and gathering data. The findings of the intervention were brought together within seven vectors indicating the qualitative analysis (territorial approach, informational consumption, future-vision references, group cooperation, cultural identity, construction of symbolic codes and the law as a referent of social regulation), taking into account complementary research tools such as the questionnaire and the free evocations technique, which pave the way for dealing with the central nucleus theory on social representations and its contributions Aventureiros é um programa de educação para a cidadania desenvolvido no Centro Cultural Cartola, hoje Museu do Samba, com crianças da favela da Mangueira (Rio de Janeiro) a partir da adaptação do ECRO (Esquema Conceitual, Referencial e Operativo) criado por Enrique Pichon-Rivière. Trata-se de uma pesquisa-ação participativa (PAP) que materializa os conceitos de sociedade civil participante (Walzer, 1998), nova cidadania (Santos, 2010) e cultura cidadã (Mockus, 2003) por meio de estratégias de educação experiencial voltadas para cinco âmbitos de intervenção pedagógica: visão de futuro dos sujeitos, tomada de decisões, criatividade, trabalho em equipe e descobrimento da cidade. O ECRO, quanto instrumento principal da pesquisa, visou tanto à mudança de atitudes e comportamentos das crianças quanto à coleta de dados. Os achados qualitativos da intervenção foram agrupados em sete vetores de análise (relação com o território, consumo de informação, referentes de futuro, cooperação grupal, identidade cultural, construção de códigos compartilhados e norma como referente de regulação) e contrastados com técnicas complementares de pesquisa como o questionário e a técnica de evocações livres, no intuito de enriquecer a argumentação à luz da teoria do núcleo central das representações sociais

Within the context of a universe traditionally known for its origins in the samba, this territory of art and expression through body and music that includes other musical movements, mainly jazz and modern, allowing a set of multiple meanings and new meanings in the lives of these attendees. On an epistemological foundation, we used the Actor-Network Theory (ART), designed to address the manufacturing of facts, when it covers symmetrically, nature and society, human and nonhuman. We also considered the possible configurations of interaction and sociability involving the territory, subject and other actors in the network, which can recognize each other to the other, to the different, and build an individual and collective project before the multicultural society where they are inserted. For this, interviews were conducted that, in turn, are added to the "interpretative" description recorded in the diary of field, allowing the dimension of improvisation, management of situations and engaging in endless procedural resets. The explored field was, strictly, the young adolescents, in an age cut from 14 to 21. They all should be enrolled in school - primary and secondary education - and live in a community, not necessarily the Mangueira community. The approaches also regarded the countless contributions of the jazz workshop teacher. Along the process, there was the falling in love and an appropriation of all the ones involved in the workshop: the administrative, pedagogical and teaching members, ensuring autonomy and differential in the social universe of the group, whose choices legitimize how the investment in culture can produce artists aware of texisting art beauty and its coming results. It is interesting to make evidente that the samba works as a temporal milestone for CCC, but the main motivation that was noticed there, was the in meeting mediated by dance, junction body/music, present in the lives of the attendees since their childhood, beyond the pleasure of belonging to a group , influenced by similar stories. Along with that, the teacher held the role of a veiled leadership, to mediate the relationships and to produce effects of group cohesion, with his ideas and incentive for the dance expression, in order to make way for new discoveries and reframing Este trabalho busca compor um quadro das práticas cotidianas de jovens frequentadores das oficinas de jazz oferecidas pelo Centro Cultural Cartola (CCC). Contextualizado dentro de um universo tradicionalmente conhecido por sua origem no samba, esse território de arte e de expressão através do corpo e da música contempla outros movimentos musicais, principalmente o jazz e o moderno, possibilitando um conjunto de múltiplos sentidos e ressignificações na vida destes participantes. Como fundamentação epistemológica, foi utilizada a Teoria Ator-Rede (TAR), concebida como forma de abordar a fabricação dos fatos, ao abranger, simetricamente, natureza e sociedade, humano e não humano. Foram igualmente consideradas as possíveis configurações de interação e sociabilidade que envolvem território, sujeito e demais atores da rede, os quais conseguem reconhecer-se diante do outro, do diferente, e construírem um projeto individual e coletivo frente à sociedade multicultural em que estão inseridos. Para isso, foram realizadas entrevistas que, por sua vez, são complementos à descrição interpretativa registrada no diário de campo, permitindo a dimensão de improviso, de manejo das situações e de envolvimento nas incessantes redefinições processuais. O campo explorado foi, estritamente, o de jovens adolescentes, num recorte etário de 14 a 21 anos. Todos deveriam estar matriculados na escola ensino fundamental e médio e residir em comunidade, não sendo necessariamente a Mangueira. As abordagens contemplaram também as incontáveis participações do professor da oficina de jazz. Durante o processo, emanou-se a existência de um apaixonamento e de uma apropriação por parte de todos os envolvidos com a oficina: parte administrativa, pedagógica e docente, garantindo autonomia e diferencial no universo social do grupo, cujas escolhas legitimam o quanto o investimento na cultura produz artistas conscientes da beleza inerente à própria arte e aos afetamentos daí advindos. Interessante ressaltar que o samba funciona como marca histórica e temporal do CCC, mas a principal motivação ali percebida estava no encontro mediado pela dança, junção corpo/música, presente na vida dos participantes desde a infância, além do prazer de pertencerem a um grupo afim, movido por histórias semelhantes. Junto a isso, o professor exercia o papel de liderança velada, a mediar as relações e a produzir efeitos de coesão grupal, com suas ideias e incentivo à expressão pela dança, de modo a dar lugar a novas descobertas e ressignificação

Its creation was aimed at strenghthening the preservation of the Carioca samba, as well as the transmission of its history and knowledge, which have been weakened by policies focused on the trade and the turism instead of the traditions of this cultural expression. Cartola Cultural Center was awarded the Ponto de Cultura Prize in 2005 and it was the organization that promoted Rio de Janeiro samba as a Brazilian Cultural Patrimony; since then, CCC enhances the social role of the samba players, with the purpose of implementing a policy of recovery and spreading of those intangible assets: Partido-Alto, Samba-de-Terreiro and Samba-Enredo. Since 2009, Cartola Cultural Center is recognized as a Pontão de Cultura (Great Cultural Point). The working hypothesis of this doctoral research is to check the impact of the patrimony policies on the popular cultural agencies: how these measures contribute to the promotion and guaranteeing of their rights as well as the valorization of their cultural identity as subjects that play a leading part in the society. At the same time, the research deepened on the implementation of a museum of social memory, taking into account both its achievements and difficulties in the frame of its institutional mission, especially on topics related to the preservation of the Carioca samba and its constantly changing dynamics. Other goal of the research was verifying whether the discourse of the samba players about their performance and identity has changed within the incorporation of the concept of patrimony. It is important to highlight that the keeping of the roots of the Carioca samba is linked to their performers as well as to the socio cultural practices that take place in the frame of the actions aimed at preserving, fostering and spreading these heritage assets O Centro Cultural Cartola, sediado no bairro da Mangueira, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, foi criado a partir da observação de que os processos de preservação de memória, de transmissão da história e dos saberes do samba carioca se encontravam profundamente fragilizados pela engrenagem comercial e turística a que foram subvertidos, principalmente nos redutos tradicionais dessa expressão cultural. Reconhecido como Ponto de Cultura, em 2005, o Centro Cultural Cartola foi proponente da candidatura do samba do Rio de Janeiro a Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial Brasileiro e, desde então, vem trabalhando o protagonismo social de sambistas, visando a sua afirmação social e a salvaguarda desse patrimônio, com a implantação de uma política de resgate, valorização e difusão dos bens registrados: Partido- Alto, Samba de Terreiro e Samba-enredo. Desde 2009, passou a ser reconhecido como um Pontão de Cultura. Esta pesquisa de doutorado tem por hipótese central verificar o impacto da política de patrimônio junto aos agentes de cultura popular e como esse fato vem possibilitar- lhes sua elevação à condição de protagonistas sociais da própria história, a fim de garantir- lhes direitos e a valorização da identidade cultural que representam. Paralelamente, procurou- se conhecer a implantação de um museu de memória social, bem como levantar as principais conquistas e dificuldades do CCC no cumprimento de sua missão institucional, no que se refere à preservação do samba carioca e às interferências sociohistóricas a que é submetido, considerando-o como algo fluído e mutante. Parte essencial será também verificar se o discurso dos sambistas sobre sua arte e identidade mudou com a incorporação do conceito de patrimônio. As some spaces reveal peculiarities which make them more prone for exercising the sociality, Cinelândia is highlighted as an example, as it has served throughout its history as a stage for significant cultural and political moments of Rio de Janeiro, keeping itself always alive in significance. The research was first carried out through specialized theoretical literature and, after, the narration was applied as method. Fifteen people somehow related to Cinelândia were interviewed. Theoretically, it started with a macro perspective, the multiculturalism in forming the cities, passing through political and social construction of Rio de Janeiro, going to the history of Cinelândia, reaching the subject s collective constitution and the subjectivity of the narrations. The conclusion has dwelt in micro conception, being highlighted the life narrative of common individuals in their relation with the Square. There was the need to break any illusion of homogeneity, with the city naturalization, with the notion of determined subject and of unique possible truth. Cinelândia was only kept as aggregative pole because it coexists with those who exercise their sociality exchanges in there. The stories of each one of the subjects make Cinelândia an endless story A presente Tese de Doutorado parte da hipótese de que determinados lugares da cidade se constituem enquanto territórios de socialidade e influenciam a constituição da subjetividade das pessoas que neles convivem. Propõe-se o conceito de território de socialidade, isto é, alguns territórios apresentam características peculiares, que os tornam mais propensos para o exercício da socialidade. A Cinelândia, entendida enquanto um território de socialidade, foi palco de momentos significativos na história cultural e política do Rio de Janeiro, e mantem-se sempre viva em significado.A pesquisa foi realizada, utilizando a narrativa como método, 15 pessoas que possuíam alguma relação com a Cinelândia foram entrevistadas. Teoricamente, partiu-se de uma perspectiva macro, o multiculturalismo na formação das cidades, passando pela construção política e social do Rio de Janeiro, indo à história da Cinelândia, chegando à constituição coletiva do sujeito e à subjetividade das narrativas e concluindo com o micro, as narrativas de cidadãos comuns sobre as suas vidas em relação com a Cinelândia. Sendo necessário romper com qualquer ilusão de homogeneidade, com a naturalização da cidade, com a noção de sujeito determinado e de uma verdade única, conclui-se que a Cinelândia só existe enquanto território de socialidade porque ela coexiste com os sujeitos que nela exercem suas trocas de socialidade E são as histórias de cada um dos sujeitos que fazem a história da Cinelândia, uma história sem fim

It was developed on the basis of a social theory theme which it sustains and on the basis of interviews within the ballroom dancing students at the Cartola Cultural Center, which is located at Mangueira Slum Complex, in Rio de Janeiro city. The main goal is to investigate how the mentioned group benefits from the sources offered by the cultural Institution towards the ballroom dancing activities in the process of building ageing. The first point was to observe and verify that there was besides the motivation and pleasure on dancing, a incentive towards health care and preservation. Parallel to this, during the users profile sheet elaboration, it was also possible to observe and verify that and expressive percentage of these group was migrants, and so this fact started integrating the whole data. The work is divided into four chapters. On the first one Cartola Cultural Center is presented, plus the context in which the research is going to be carried, the activities offered at the Center, as well its main characters: Cartola e D. Zica. On the second one, ageing is taking from the perspective of the work of the anthropologist Guita Grin Debert, the main theorical reference on the discussion of this thematic. Next, on the third chapter, it speaks about the subjects decisions on choosing the migration, towards their own point of view, considering their motivation and difficulties. For that it was chosen academics texts from Ademir Pacceli, among also some other authors. As methodology, it was privileged the participative research according to Thiollant, which main source was the field research, within collection of data and analyses of the interviews done. On the fourth and last chapter the interviews are presented, putting in evidence the main related aspects to the research themes and building an articulation among them all. Esta Dissertação organiza-se a partir de dois eixos temáticos: envelhecimento e migração. Foi realizada tendo por base a teoria de cunho social que a fundamenta e a elaboração das entrevistas com alunos da aula de dança de salão do Centro Cultural Cartola, localizado no Complexo da Mangueira, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O objetivo primordial é verificar como grupo beneficia-se dos recursos oferecidos pela instituição através das oficinas de dança de salão no processo de construção do envelhecimento. A primeira observação foi constatar que havia, ao lado da motivação do prazer proporcionado pela dança, um estímulo quanto à preservação da saúde. Paralelamente, na hora da elaboração do perfil dos frequentadores, foi observado que expressivo percentual do grupo era de migrantes, fator que veio a integrar os dados. O trabalho divide-se em quatro capítulos. No primeiro, apresentam-se o Centro Cultural Cartola, o contexto em que a pesquisa é realizada, as oficinas e atividades oferecidas, bem como suas principais personagens: Cartola e D. Zica. No segundo, o envelhecimento é abordado a partir da obra da antropóloga Guita Grin Debert, principal referência teórica para discussão dessa temática. Em seguida, o capítulo três discorre sobre a decisão de o indivíduo optar pela migração, sob o ponto de vista daquele que a vivenciou, considerando suas motivações e dificuldades. Para tal, recorreu-se aos textos acadêmicos de Ademir Pacceli Ferreira, entre outros autores. Como metodologia, privilegiou-se a pesquisa participativa de Thiollant, cujo principal recurso foi a pesquisa de campo, com coleta de dados e análise das entrevistas realizadas. No quarto e último capítulo, as entrevistas são apresentadas, destacando-se os principais aspectos relativos aos temas da pesquisa e realizando uma articulação entre eles.

This work was developed on the Social Psychology Post Graduation School, at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Twenty high/middle class young individuals with ages from 17 to 20, from the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood, city of Rio de Janeiro, were selected by indication. In order to understand them, we used the "Case Study" method, where a range of procedures were combined, such as: non-directive structured interviews, living samples and statements' selection method. An analysis of the interviews through a qualitative research was done, with the intent of finding out who are those individuals, their relationship with life, how they perceive the time, how is their space relationship and their politicization to their city and their country. The discussed issue focus on the youth's relationship with this new millennium and its connection with the recent forms of relationship with the temporality, as: the living of the youth and the time. The theory is based on a wide bibliography, with authors such as Gilles Lipovetsky, Nestor Canclini, Norbert Elias, Sharon Zukin, Zigmunt Bauman and other social scientists. Three key concepts were articulated through this work and served as basis for the theory's aspects and for the analysis of the interviews: the young culture, the time and the social space. A presente tese de doutorado teve como objetos de investigação os jovens imersos na contemporaneidade e suas experiências/vivências de vida sócio-cultural e, especialmente, suas relações com o tempo e o espaço social , sob a influência do conceito de nômades do tempo presente , segundo a visão de Alberto Melucci (1998). Este trabalho foi desenvolvido na Pós Graduação em Psicologia Social, da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Foram selecionados por indicação vinte jovens de classe média alta da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, residentes no bairro da Barra da Tijuca, compreendidos na faixa etária entre 17 e 20 anos. Para entendê-los, utilizamos o método de Estudo de Caso , em que foram reunidos uma série de procedimentos como entrevistas estruturadas não diretivas, amostras de conveniência e método de seleção de depoimentos. Foi realizada a análise das entrevistas através de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que objetivou saber quem são estes jovens, sua relação com a vida, como eles percebem o tempo, como é sua relação espacial e sua politização frente a sua cidade e ao seu país. O tema abordado diz respeito à relação da juventude deste novo milênio e sua conexão com as novas modalidades de relação com a temporalidade, isto é, a vivência da juventude e do tempo. A fundamentação teórica baseou-se em ampla bibliografia, onde figuram autores como Gilles Lipovetsky, N. Canclini, N. Elias, S. Zukin, Z. Bauman e outros teóricos das ciências sociais. Três conceitos-chave foram articulados ao longo do trabalho e norteadores no aspecto teórico assim como na análise das entrevistas: a cultura juvenil, o tempo e o espaço social.

The effects of the presence of these groups in different dimensions of multicultural formation, particularly those in Afro-Brazilian matrix communities, are also examined. The multicultural formation process promotes reconfiguration of different aspects of society through: the emergence of different cultures and values; new and old polítical demands; forgotten texts; polítical biographies; repressed styles and demands and generally processes that lead to diversity of knowledge and being. They can be observed with the global scenario of greater cultural space in the west, international migration and the presence of the African matrix in different spaces, all within globalization and internationalism of culture, under policies that promote the most intense interconnections of life ever known on Earth. To make sense of this, it s necessary to establish new horizons and look to new utopias. Thus I refer to Frantz Fanon whose thoughts serve for elaborated reflection and were used for the battle of liberation of Algeria in the 1950s and 60s. Fanon constructs fertile terrain for understanding relations of dominance and the perception of violence used by the west as well as how these translate into the human psyche. Thus he articulates psychology/ psychiatry with reference to history and polítical theory. One of the axes of his thoughts is the theory of alienation, seen in colonial, racial and gender relations. The study then turns to the Afro-Brazilian matrix from the colonial to the republican period, which uses culture for resistance and reconfigures its subjectivity in the post-colonial period. Community leaders that incarnated the resistance during the colonial period are transferred to the republican period in the Brazilian imagination as defence symbols intransient in their principles and values but with great sensitivity and negotiation capacity Este estudo tem por objetivo examinar a trajetória de grupos subalternos em contextos históricos de colonização e de pós-colonização em diferentes países, que se constituem simultaneamente como um suporte e um contraponto aos projetos de globalização e afirmação da alteridade da elite dominante. É possível reconhecer os efeitos que resultam da presença desses grupos nos processos de formação multicultural das sociedades, em particular os efeitos das comunidades de matriz afro-brasileira. Esse processo é portador de uma dinâmica multidimensional que tem a possibilidade da contribuir para a sociedade em diferentes aspectos, mediante a recuperação de novos valores e culturas, novas e velhas demandas políticas, textos esquecidos, biografias arquivadas, demandas e estilos reprimidos, processos esses que conduzem à diversidade do ser e do saber. Tais dinâmicas encontram-se hoje no cenário mundial mediante a ampliação dos espaços das culturas não ocidentais, do processo migratório internacional, da presença da cultura de matriz africana em diferentes espaços, em um contexto de globalização e mundialização da cultura e da política que promove uma intensa interligação da vida no planeta não conhecida anteriormente. É necessário, portanto, a compreensão dessa dinâmica para se estabelecerem novos horizontes e o surgimento de novas utopias. Para essa aproximação, tomo uma dupla referência: de um lado, o pensamento de Frantz Fanon, considerado como uma forma de reflexão elaborada em meio à luta pela libertação na África e na Argélia, na década de 1950/60. Fanon constrói um território fértil para a compreensão de um conjunto de experiências, que permite, nos dias de hoje, pensar as relações de dominação, assim como a perceber a violência dos dispositivos ocidentais e a forma como se traduzem no psiquismo humano. Sua abordagem se singulariza por articular a psiquiatria/psicológica com a história e a teoria política, tendo como eixo do seu pensamento a teoria da alienação vista pelo angulo das relações coloniais, de gênero e raciais. Trata-se de examinar os diferentes planos de determinação que articulam a macropolítica com os modos de andar a vida na sociedade contemporânea. Em seguida, considero o trânsito realizado pela cultura de matriz afro-brasileira, do período colonial à República, que define a cultura como parte da resistência e da reconfiguração das subjetividades no período pós-colonial. De certa forma, as lideranças emblemáticas das lutas de resistência durante o período colonial transitam para o período republicano no imaginário brasileiro, como símbolos da defesa intransigente dos seus princípios e valores, porém com grande sensibilidade e capacidade de negociação

Be located in different places naturally implies a dynamic organizational formations which includes subjective and different sociocultural characteristics. Thus, the research turns toward a literature review, emphasizing the principles that drive the studies on the crèche territory, including the construction of this territory by means of the social and cultural. It can be said that the cultural ideology taken within the creche territory reflects the many subjectivities passing in that space, during a time: teaching staff, the student body, staff technical and pedagogical, administrative staff, community, among others. The adopted methodology firm up into two parts: a theoretical, with selection, reading and interpretation of scholars related to the theme, and empirical, which brings the practical experience of the researcher on the creche territories, in order to explain / illustrate a knowledge until then not been formalized. Thus, the theory dialogues with the data collected in the many creches that administered in an attempt to bring new angles to the discussion. Tendo como referência os territórios creches, situados em diferentes localidades, o lócus da pesquisa abordará o cotidiano social e as diferentes identidades que os circundam. Situar-se em diferentes espaços implica, naturalmente, uma dinâmica organizacional que comporta formações subjetivas e características socioculturais distintas. Assim, a pesquisa volta-se para uma revisão da literatura, com ênfase nos princípios que norteiam os estudos sobre o território creche, incluindo a construção desse território pela via do social e do cultural. Pode-se dizer que a ideologia cultural adotada dentro do território creche reflete as muitas subjetividades que transitam naquele espaço, no decorrer de um tempo: corpo docente, corpo discente, equipe técnico-pedagógica, equipe administrativa, comunidade, entre outras. A metodologia adotada firma-se em duas vertentes: a teórica, com seleção, leitura e interpretação dos estudiosos relacionados com o tema, e a empírica, que vem trazer as experiências práticas da pesquisadora nos territórios creches, a fim de explicitar/exemplificar um conhecimento até então não formalizado. Assim, a teoria dialoga com os dados coletados nas muitas creches que administrou, na tentativa de trazer à discussão novos ângulos.

Taking as its central axis aesthetics realistic of films about slums in Brazil, based on the methodology of film analysis, we performed a short review of some theories of culture, communication and background of the field of contemporary Brazilian cinema. In addition, a dialogic proposal was developed with the Social Psychology and the possibilities of dialogues with Brazilian cinema. The focus was in problematize as production conditions, representations and appropriations reception articulate the various discursive and non-discursive practices and are associated with the representation of the notion of identity categories such as violence, public safety, family, youth and consumption. The results of this qualitative analysis revolved around issues of socio-economic order, while featuring the slum area of (im)possibilities and above all have their residents as characters who have a stereotype than it is to live in the slum, giving visibility in relations settling in these territories. Este trabalho possui como objetivo a análise de cinco filmes do cinema brasileiro contemporâneo que tratam sobre favela: Cidade de Deus ( Fernando Meirelles, 2002), Linha de Passe ( Walter Salles e Daniela Thomas , 2008), Sonhos Roubados ( Sandra Werneck, 2009), Tropa de Elite ( José Padilha, 2007) e Tropa de Elite II (José Padilha, 2010). Tendo como eixo central a estética realista de filmes sobre favela no Brasil, a partir da metodologia de análise fílmica, foi realizada uma pequena revisão de algumas teorias de cultura, comunicação e dos antecedentes do campo do cinema brasileiro contemporâneo. Para além, foi desenvolvido uma proposta dialógica com a Psicologia Social e as possibilidades de interlocuções com o cinema brasileiro. O foco se deu em problematizar como as condições de produção, as representações e as apropriações de recepção se articulam às diversas práticas discursivas e não-discursivas e se associam à representação da noção de categorias identitárias como violência, segurança pública, família, juventude e consumo. Os resultados dessa análise qualitativa giraram em torno de questões de ordem socioeconômica, que caracterizam a favela enquanto território de (im)possibilidades e, sobretudo, tem seus moradores como personagens que possuem um estereótipo do que é viver na favela, dando visibilidade nas relações que se estabelecem nesses territórios.

We reflect on some questions relating to subjective processes of children and young people who participate in cultural activities of the center. Our focus is on children and youth participating in the orchestra of violins, a group that we called group orchestra. We completed our intent by an Action Research, focusing the future prospects of these individuals in relation to inclusion in society and the world of work. We wanted to approach us to the reality of the field to know how was the participation of young people in cultural and artistic activities, and to understand how they contributed to the production of subjectivity and the formation of a conception of their professional life. We did operative groups to investigate how each young man sees his current situation and his project of future. In this dissertation, the result of such intervention, we did a discussion on the emerging aspects of subjective experiences in the cultural center as well as on the processes of production of subjectivity and the theme of cultural identity. We also approach the concept of group and its relation to the formation and transformation of the individual. In addition, we reflect on the role of work for the configuration and reconfiguration of the social world Esta pesquisa se construiu a partir do encontro com a ONG Centro Cultural Cartola da comunidade da Mangueira, no Rio de Janeiro. Nós refletimos sobre algumas questões relativas aos processos subjetivos com os quais se relacionam as crianças e jovens que participam de atividades culturais do centro, a partir justamente das experiências vividas neste espaço. Nosso foco se concentra nas crianças e jovens que integram a orquestra de violinos, grupo que denominamos grupo orquestra. Concretizamos nosso intento através de pesquisa participativa, focalizando, sobretudo, as perspectivas de futuro desses sujeitos em relação à inserção na sociedade e no mundo do trabalho. Nós buscamos nos aproximar da realidade do campo para conhecer como se dava a participação desses jovens nas atividades culturais e artísticas, e entender como elas contribuíam para o processo de produção de subjetividade e formação de uma concepção sobre a vida profissional deles. Realizamos encontros de grupos operativos que procuraram investigar como cada jovem enxerga sua situação atual e seu projeto de futuro. Nesta dissertação, fruto de tal intervenção, tecemos uma discussão sobre os aspectos das experiências subjetivas emergentes no centro cultural, bem como sobre os processos de produção de subjetividade e a temática da identidade cultural. Along the way, the difficulties of living in a slum in Rio were considered, including prejudice, whether from a geographical point of view or from the social side, since most of the components of the Orchestra lives in Mangueira. The starting point was the reading of theorists such as Axel Honneth, George Yúdice, Stuart Hall and the contribution of other scholars of socio-cultural area, which attend to support the argument. Foward, the fieldwork was developed, with the gathering of information from the interviews with the social actors. The binomial social/solidarity recognition implies another element here also covered: the development of citizenship. Faced with such a scenario, it is possible to see the possibility to observe changes in the context where reality configures itself, i.e. What place the subject occupies before and after being initiated the process of appropriation of knowledge and how changes that hapenning with him are extended to the environment around him, including family. Esta pesquisa parte da relação música/projeto social para estudar de que forma os integrantes da Orquestra de Violinos Cartola-Petrobras, do Centro Cultural Cartola, no Rio de Janeiro, tiveram reforçada a autoestima pelo aprendizado de uma nova linguagem a musical e pelo convívio com os professores e com os demais companheiros músicos. Nesse percurso, foram analisadas as dificuldades de se morar em uma favela carioca, dentre elas o preconceito, seja do ponto de vista geográfico, seja do ponto de vista social, uma vez que a maioria dos componentes da Orquestra mora na Mangueira. O ponto de partida foi a leitura de teóricos como Axel Honneth, George Yúdice, Stuart Hall e a contribuição de outros estudiosos da área sociocultural, que comparecem para dar suporte à argumentação. Num segundo momento, foi desenvolvido o trabalho de campo, com o recolhimento dos dados colhidos em entrevistas com os atores sociais. O binômio reconhecimento social/solidariedade implica outro elemento aqui também abordado: o desenvolvimento da cidadania. Diante de tal cenário, é possível observar a possibilidade de imprimirem-se mudanças no contexto onde a realidade se configura, ou seja, qual o lugar que o sujeito ocupa antes e depois de ser instaurado o processo de apropriação do conhecimento e como as mudanças que se operam nele se estendem ao ambiente em derredor, incluindo a família.

This thesis seeks to contemplate a recurring theme in the Brazilian Jesuit historiography that focuses on the role played by the Jesuits in an attempt to build "a heavenly city on earth" (NEVES, 2003) in the new world (Brazil colony) and particularly of social practices (above all, political, religious, ideological, legal) of the priest Antonio Vieira - their implications and breaks in the seventeenth century Maranhão - under the gaze of the social imaginary. Through three sermons published with greater impact, in Maranhão seventeenth century, we aim to analyze and talk about the most recurrent images in the production sermons of the priest Antonio Vieira and because our object is to produce imagery of the "subject" Vieira also used as a theoretical notion of ideological "subject" of Mikhail Bakhthin, the notions of the Imaginary by Gilbert Durand and Gaston Bachelard, theories on the Social Imaginary Jesuit anthropologist and researcher Luiz Felipe Baêta Neves and other great theorists to help us to analyze these images. Search is a possible structure of the social imaginary of the priest Antonio Vieira during their presence in Maranhão from sermons and analyzed raises the processes of rupture and continuity with the mission and projects of the Society of Jesus in shaping society Maranhão. O padre Antônio Vieira é uma figura icônica do Barroco literário no Brasil do século XVII, visto por muitos como um dos grandes representantes da Companhia de Jesus. A presente tese busca contemplar um tema recorrente na historiografia jesuítica brasileira que trata do papel desempenhado pelos jesuítas na tentativa de construção de uma terrena cidade celeste segundo Neves, no novo mundo (Brasil colônia) e, particularmente, das práticas sociais (sobretudo, políticas, religiosas, ideológicas, jurídicas) do padre Antônio Vieira suas implicações e rupturas no Maranhão seiscentista sob o olhar do imaginário social. Através de três sermões proferidos no Maranhão, pretendemos analisar e dialogar sobre as imagens mais recorrentes na produção sermonística do Padre Antônio Vieira: como nosso objeto de pesquisa também é a produção imagética do sujeito Vieira, utilizamos como referencial teórico a noção ideológica de sujeito de Mikhail Bakhthin, as noções do Imaginário de Gilbert Durand e Gaston Bachelard, as teorias sobre o Imaginário Social jesuítico do antropólogo e pesquisador Luiz Felipe Baêta Neves e outros grandes teóricos, para nos ajudar a analisar essas imagens. Buscamos uma possível estrutura do imaginário social do padre Antônio Vieira durante sua presença no Maranhão a partir dos sermões analisados e levantamos os processos de ruptura e continuidade com os projetos do missionário e da Companhia de Jesus na formação da sociedade maranhense.

Of the various epithets by which the city is designated, are included here only the Brazilian Athens, Only Brazilian city founded by the French and Brazilian Jamaica. The purpose is to identify the social, political and cultural present in the specific context of each of these constructs. Are taken into account the Eurocentric model and existing cultural elitism in a society of the nineteenth century marked by categories dominant / dominated, literate culture / popular culture typical of conditions that gave rise to the establishment of the Brazilian Athens. Was analyzed the strategy that made a historic event for the establishment of a founding act of tradition and, by extension, the creation of cultural identity, a tactic that gave São Luís the first decade of the twentieth century, the designation of Only Brazilian city founded by the French, the same time which led to the revitalization of the first cultural identity. Finally, analysis of the advent of the Brazilian Jamaica in the 1970s, cultural identity deriving the masses and peripheral São Luís city, characterized by social exclusion and blackness, sensitive and strong appeal marked by the rhythm, the dance, reggae music of Jamaican origin. These studies had as epistemological theories from the fields of communication, cultural studies, memory and narrative. For this realization were done reading and analysis of bibliographical and documentary material, interviews and completed questionnaires. The study revealed that the processes of construction of cultural identities in the São Luís city were influenced by certain political and communicative action in different forms of mediation. Estudo sobre o processo de construção identitária da cidade de São Luís. Dos vários epítetos pelos quais a cidade é designada, são contemplados aqui apenas os de Atenas Brasileira, Única cidade brasileira fundada pelos franceses e Jamaica Brasileira. O propósito é o de identificar as condições sociais, políticas e culturais presentes no contexto específico de cada uma dessas construções. São levados em conta o modelo eurocêntrico e o elitismo cultural vigentes na sociedade de um século XIX marcado pelas categorias dominantes/dominados, cultura letrada/cultura popular próprias das condições que ensejaram o estabelecimento da Atenas Brasileira. Foi analisada a estratégia que fez de um acontecimento histórico a instauração de um ato fundador de tradição e, por extensão, de criação de identidade cultural, tática que deu a São Luís, na primeira década do século XX, a designação de Única cidade brasileira fundada pelos franceses, a mesmo tempo em que ensejou a revitalização da primeira identidade cultural. Por fim, a análise do advento da Jamaica Brasileira nos anos de 1970, identidade cultural oriunda das massas populares e periféricas da cidade de São Luís, caracterizadas pela exclusão social e negritude, de forte apelo sensível e estético marcado pelo ritmo, pela dança, pela música reggae de origem jamaicana. The text is about how Maria Aragão got famous in the public scenario considering her condition of woman, from the Northeastern region of Brazil, Afro-descendant, poor and a single mother, back in the 1940 s, in Maranhão State. For being a biographic narrative, it was used besides theoretical references conversations, interviews and documents. Family members, friends, patients, physicians, politics, feminists, people involved in the Maria Aragão Institute and Maria Aragão Memorial were interviewed, looking for rescuing, through these subjects' personal memories, a social memory of Maria. The searched documents were magazines, a book, a Master Degree dissertation, the Memorial heap, the Tribuna do Povo newspaper, some newspapers of the time and the Political and Social Order Department file, as well as the memory places, the Square and the Memorial itself. The data analysis allowed put together the common senses found in the interviews and in documents linked with statements that she said in different print press sources, which ended up in the reconstruction of several Maria s faces. It is considered that the memory is built in teams, but also an individual work. In a wide view it is possible to say that the memories here recorded contribute to the understanding about the studied character, from the several fights she embraced. It is concluded that Maria walked many ways, showed concern about the problems of the less favored ones and knew how to see human being in all of her relations, in a continuous fight in order to build an equalitarian society Esta tese objetiva descrever a trajetória de Maria José Camargo Aragão, que, por meio de sua profissão a Medicina , ganhou notoriedade em São Luís e conseguiu ascensão no cenário político maranhense, em razão de sua militância no Partido Comunista. O texto discorre sobre como Maria Aragão se projetou no espaço público, considerando sua condição de mulher, nordestina, negra, pobre e mãe solteira nos anos de 1940, no Maranhão. Por se tratar de uma narrativa biográfica, recorreu-se, além do referencial teórico, a conversas, entrevistas e documentos. Foram entrevistados familiares, amigos, pacientes, médicos, políticos, feministas, pessoas que fazem parte do Instituto Maria Aragão e do Memorial Maria Aragão, buscando resgatar, através das recordações pessoais desses sujeitos, uma memória social de Maria. Os documentos pesquisados foram revistas, um livro, uma dissertação de mestrado, o acervo do Memorial, o jornal Tribuna do Povo, alguns jornais que circularam à época e o prontuário do Departamento de Ordem Política e Social, bem como os lugares de memória a Praça e o Memorial. A análise dos dados permitiu agrupar os sentidos comuns encontrados nas entrevistas e nos documentos entrelaçados com depoimentos que ela concedeu a diferentes veículos da imprensa escrita, possibilitando a reconstrução das várias faces de Maria. Considera-se que a memória é construída em grupo, mas também é um trabalho individual. De forma ampla, é possível afirmar que as memórias aqui registradas contribuem para o entendimento da personagem em estudo, a partir das diferentes lutas que abraçou. Conclui-se que Maria percorreu vários caminhos, demonstrou preocupação com os problemas dos menos favorecidos e soube ver o humano em todas as suas relações, numa luta contínua em prol da construção de uma sociedade igualitária

The group of teens surveyed is in a stage of life of discovery, change (psychological identity and above all body) as well as any subject who is at that stage of life. With the beginning of adolescence, there is the formation of groups in which teenagers will identify. Each group has its own brand, its style, and the body seems to be the great translator of this new phase, the purpose of comparison beginning to emerge, the fear of not being accepted by the group makes the adolescent resorting to methods believed to be effective in search of an "ideal self" and therefore an "ideal body". This research discusses the idealization of the young body found during the conduct of field research, and links that exist between the idealization and the constitutions of this ideal in the conception of body movement. Data analysis was based on psychological interpretations about the drawings made by teenagers. It also addressed issues related to physical culture in Physical Education and its relationship to cultural identity, as this group of Jazz. Since the Commonwealth of hose is a multicultural area (styles of songs, dances, sports, etc.), but that is common in the body as the main translator of these experiences. The search for the "ideal body" is far from being fully satisfied, and the culture at large responsible for developing emotionally, mentally and especially adolescent girls' body of the Jazz group of CCC. The methodology of the Operational Group was one of the goals deconstruct and restructure the imagination of teenagers the concept of ideal body, which currently is seen in a rigid and stereotyped by contemporary society. The methodology of the Operational Group was a very useful tool in the process of deconstructing the concept of "ideal body" by the girls. The dynamics used were aimed awaken new perspectives on the body, so as to create situations where young people could get the best, but no escape from reality body. A definição mais plausível para esta pesquisa é aquela onde a adolescência se estabelece de acordo com a história de vida e o contexto sociocultural no qual o sujeito está inserido, que envolve, na transição para a fase adulta, transformações na mente, na personalidade, no comportamento e principalmente no corpo. O grupo das adolescentes pesquisadas encontra-se numa fase da vida de descobertas, mudanças (psicológicas identitárias e acima de tudo corporais) assim como todo e qualquer sujeito que encontra-se nessa fase da vida. Com a entrada na adolescência, ocorre a formação de grupos no qual as adolescentes vão se identificar. Cada grupo tem a sua marca, o seu estilo, e o corpo parece ser o grande tradutor dessa nova fase, os efeitos de comparação começam a surgir, o medo de não ser aceita pelo grupo faz com que a adolescente recorra a métodos que acredita ser eficazes na busca de um eu ideal e consequentemente um corpo ideal . Esta pesquisa discute as idealizações corporais das jovens encontradas durante a realização da pesquisa de campo, e as ligações que existem entre essa idealização e as constituições desse ideal sob a concepção do movimento corporal. A análise de dados se baseou em interpretações psicológicas acerca dos desenhos realizados pelas adolescentes. Visto que a Comunidade da Mangueira é um espaço multicultural (estilos de músicas, danças, esportes, entre outros), mas que em comum tem o corpo como o principal tradutor dessas vivências. A busca pelo corpo ideal está longe de ser integralmente satisfeito, sendo a cultura a grande responsável pela elaboração emocional, mental e principalmente corporal das adolescentes do grupo de Jazz do CCC. A aplicação da metodologia do Grupo Operativo teve como um dos objetivos desconstruir e reestruturar o imaginário das adolescentes o conceito de corpo ideal, que atualmente é visto de forma rígida e estereotipada pela sociedade contemporânea. Tal ferramenta foi muito útil no processo de desconstrução do conceito de corpo ideal por parte das meninas. As dinâmicas utilizadas tiveram como objetivos despertar novos olhares sobre o corpo, assim como criar situações onde as jovens pudessem buscar o melhor de si, mas sem fugir da própria realidade corporal.

The main objective was to understand the considerations of the grandparents when they are assigned the task of caring for grandchildren whose parents work outside. For research we used the methodological approach of focus groups, preceded by the bibliographical survey on the topic. The theoretical content explores themes related to changes in contemporary family, the effects of intergenerational relationships and behavior of grandparents today and in Western societies. On this theme, the discussion about the thought of some authors argued reflections reached from the results obtained with the focus group meetings. Two focus groups were conducted with grandparents caring for grandchildren in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi. In the four meetings grandmothers participants reported and discussed issues and situations related to their experiences with their grandchildren, exchanging experiences and impressions. The data were processed through the content analysis and presented in categories drawn from the theoretical study. The results suggest the grandparents difficulties in dealing with the allocation of caring for grandchildren. At the end of the meetings the participants themselves come to the conclusion that each one must find the best way to be a grandmother in the contemporary, combining personal development and good family relationships. It was observed in groups of grandmothers difficulties in dealing with this topic in social relations. It was evident that in countries like Brazil there is no public policy sufficient to drive the contemporary changes in family group. Also notable was that providing a focus group to grandparents caring for grandchildren has allowed, in addition to data collection, the possibility of being a technical resource available to grandparents. It was evident that this technique helped the participants to express their opinions and encouraged self-reflection among them. Finally, the study indicates the need to provide grandparents caring for grandchildren, through public policies and social actions, which conditions they may have an interaction with their grandchildren in a more playful, based on values that their own grandparents consider paramount in the relationship with the children. O presente estudo aborda pesquisa realizada com avós que cuidam de netos. O objetivo principal foi entender as considerações dos avós quando lhes são atribuídas a tarefa de cuidar dos netos cujos pais trabalham fora. Para a investigação foi utilizado o procedimento metodológico de grupos focais, precedido de levantamento bibliográfico sobre a temática. O conteúdo teórico explora temas relacionados às mudanças na família contemporânea, às influências das relações intergeracionais e o comportamento dos avós nos dias atuais e em sociedades ocidentais. Nessa temática, a discussão sobre o pensamento de alguns autores sustentou as reflexões alcançadas a partir dos resultados obtidos dos encontros dos grupos focais. Foram realizados dois grupos focais com avós que cuidam de netos nas cidades do Rio de Janeiro e de Niterói. Nos quatro encontros realizados, as avós participantes relataram e debateram temas e situações relacionadas às suas vivências com os netos, trocando experiências e impressões. Os dados obtidos foram tratados por meio da análise de conteúdo e apresentados em categorias elaboradas a partir do referencial teórico estudado. Os resultados alcançados sugerem dificuldades das avós em lidar com a atribuição de cuidar dos netos. Ao final dos encontros, as próprias participantes chegaram à conclusão de que cada uma deve encontrar a melhor forma de ser avó na contemporaneidade, conciliando desenvolvimento pessoal e bom relacionamento familiar. Observaram-se nos grupos as dificuldades das avós ao tratar essa temática nas relações sociais. Evidenciou-se que em países como o Brasil não há políticas públicas suficientes para conduzir as transformações contemporâneas no grupo familiar. Destacou-se também que o oferecimento de grupo focal às avós que cuidam de netos permitiu, além da coleta de dados, a possibilidade da técnica ser um recurso disponível às avós. Ficou evidente que essa técnica auxiliou as participantes a expressarem suas opiniões e promoveu a autoreflexão entre elas. Por fim, o estudo indica a necessidade de se oferecer às avós que cuidam de netos, por meio de políticas públicas ou ações sociais, condições para que possam exercer uma interação com os netos de forma mais lúdica, pautada em valores que as próprias avós consideram primordial na relação com as crianças.

In response, the research Cartola-Cartography: "Cause" of the Centro Cultural Cartola sought to investigate the impact of promoting and preserving the legacy of Cartola the lives of young people assisted by the Centro Cultural Cartola and the team that works behind the scenes so that the projects become a social reality. During the research, we made an analytic listening to each subject, so know the causes that lead workers / cultural managers to perform various activities (management, administration, fundraising, etc.) related to the operation of institution. In making that contract was being established step by step, a methodology that has adapted itself to the boundaries demarcated by the boundary of the field, with information exchange between authors from different fields of knowledge: Sociology, Institutionalism, Psychopathology of Labor, Ergology, Clinical Activity and Psychoanalysis. Resultante de um convênio estabelecido entre as instituições Centro Cultural Cartola e Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro , a presente dissertação teve início a partir da demanda dificuldade com a equipe administrativa , formulada por Nilcemar Nogueira neta de Cartola, vice-presidente do Centro, cujo objetivo é trabalhar em prol do desenvolvimento sociocultural de jovens da comunidade da Mangueira. Em resposta, a pesquisa Cartola-Grafia: Causa do Centro Cultural Cartola buscou investigar qual o impacto da promoção e da preservação do legado de Cartola na vida dos jovens atendidos pelo Centro Cultural Cartola e da equipe que trabalha nos bastidores para que os projetos sociais se tornem uma realidade. No desenvolvimento da pesquisa, procurou-se fazer uma escuta analítica de cada sujeito para, assim, conhecer as causas que levam os trabalhadores/gestores culturais a desempenharem várias atividades (gerenciamento, administração, captação de recursos financeiros, entre outras) relacionadas ao funcionamento da instituição. Na realização dessa empreitada, foi sendo instituída, passo a passo, uma metodologia própria que se adequou aos contornos demarcados pela fronteira do campo, com troca de informações entre autores oriundos de diferentes campos de saber: Sociologia, Institucionalismo, Psicopatologia do Trabalho, Ergologia, Clínica da Atividade e Psicanálise.

Soccer is a fertile ground for study and reflection, it's symbolism enabling links with other dimensions of social life. Among the actors involved we highlight the fans who are essential to sporting spectacle. It's the fans who experience and share the emotions, who perceive and internalize all the symbolic nature of the game, thus revealing it's true nature. For the fans there is a sacred place: the soccer stadiums, true sanctuaries where worship of the ball and the show of a sporting rite is mythologized. These stadiums live on in the imagination as "men's houses", however the number of women attending such temples grows daily. Using the snowball method seven women who attended soccer games were selected and enrolled in a semi structured interview. A qualitative approach was used in the analysis of the discourse in order to understand and analyze the production of imagery in these women. We have found the marks stadium (with unpredictable direction, space for socializing, a male and a democracy), people (with a sense of group), man (with a sense of prejudice and field), woman (with a sense of conquest of space, fan, partner and uncertainty) and time (with a sense of passion and racket). The interpretation of the data refers to the figure of Dionysus, the aspects of ecstasy, enthusiasm, pleasure, freedom, autonomy, by not being dominated and break taboos. Entre as diversas manifestações esportivas, o futebol é o que apresenta maior popularidade no Brasil, sendo conhecido e reconhecido como o Esporte das Multidões. O futebol é um terreno fértil para estudos e reflexões, pois seus simbolismos permitem articulações com outras dimensões da vida social. Entre os atores sociais envolvidos no futebol, destacam-se os torcedores, essenciais para a existência do espetáculo esportivo. São os torcedores que vivenciam e partilham emoções, que percebem e internalizam toda natureza simbólica do futebol, revelando então sua própria natureza. Para os torcedores há um lugar sagrado: os estádios de futebol, verdadeiros santuários de culto a bola, que remetem o espetáculo esportivo a um rito mitificador. Os estádios de futebol estão presentes no imaginário como a casa dos homens . Entretanto cresce cotidianamente o número de mulheres que comparecem regularmente a esses templos do futebol. Empregando o método bola de neve foram selecionadas sete mulheres frequentadoras de estádios de futebol que responderam a uma entrevista semi-estruturada. Com uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizou-se a análise do discurso com o intuito de compreender e analisar a produção imaginária dessas mulheres. Foram encontradas as marcas estádio (com sentido imprevisibilidade, espaço de confraternização, espaço masculino e espaço democrático), gente (com sentido de grupo), homem (com sentido de preconceito e domínio), mulher (com sentido de conquista de espaço, torcedora, companheira e insegurança) e time (com sentido de paixão e zoeira). A interpretação dos dados remete a figura de Dionísio, pelos aspectos do êxtase, do entusiasmo, do prazer, da liberdade, da autonomia, por não se deixar dominar e pela quebra de tabus

This work was grounded on a participative methodology based on the space comprehension method proposed by Bourdier (1988, 1998) with the concepts of social field, social space and habits. Meanwhile, the hand-on technique used in the field research was based on the Operative Group methodology proposed by Pichon-Rivière (1991,1998). To put in context and understand the historical sense of living in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, this work begins with a city development panorama, the limiting social relations boundaries in the occupation of urban area and historical scenario in the favelas proliferation. The development of Mangueira as the social field where the CCC is located is described, and also the life history of Angenor de Oliveira, the Cartola, is analyzed. The Operative Group was developed with children of the Ação Griô at the CCC, a project which stimulates the narration of experiences thru oral history and aims at promoting the reappropriation of Mangueira's cultural identity. In this context, the concepts of culture and self identity wore analyzed in their contemporary insertion, resignificance and reconstruction as multiples processes. The construction of the understood self image was also discussed in its dynamicity as an ability of self recognition when it influences the individual's choices and decision, and thus builds his self-esteem. The conclusions indicates that practices as the ones in CCC exemplify a resistant struggle for the preservation and reappropriation of Mangueira's culture, for being surrounded by the possibility of the cultural citizenship space occupation, by the positive appropriation of the occupied territory and also by the enhancement of the cultural identity of living in Mangueira, and so, influencing the construction of subjectiveness. A presente Dissertação de Mestrado trata da construção da subjetividade de crianças que frequentam o Centro Cultural Cartola (CCC), na Mangueira/RJ, a partir da relação estabelecida entre território, identidade cultural e imagem de si. O trabalho foi fundamentado em uma metodologia participativa, baseada na compreensão do espaço proposta por Bourdieu (1988, 1998), a partir dos conceitos de campo social, espaço social e habitus. A técnica de ação da pesquisa de campo, por sua vez, fundamentou-se na metodologia de Grupo Operativo de Pichon-Rivière (1991, 1998). Com o intuito de contextualizar e compreender o sentido, dado historicamente, de viver em uma favela no Rio de Janeiro, o texto desta Dissertação inicia-se com o panorama de desenvolvimento da cidade, pelo recorte das relações sociais na ocupação da área urbana e a conjuntura história do início da proliferação das favelas. Descreve-se a história do desenvolvimento da Mangueira enquanto campo social onde se localiza o CCC, cujos objetivos, práticas e a história de Angenor de Oliveira, o Cartola, são elementos essências para a compreensão dos valores morais transmitidos desde a infância e de extrema importância na construção da subjetividade dos moradores da Mangueira. O Grupo Operativo desenvolveu-se com crianças que participam da Ação Griô do CCC, projeto que, por meio da história oral, privilegia a narrativa de experiências e objetiva promover a reapropriação da identidade cultural da Mangueira. Sendo assim, analisaram-se os conceitos de cultura e identidade cultural que, inseridos na contemporaneidade, se ressignificam e se constroem enquanto múltiplos e processuais. Discutiu-se, ainda, a formação da imagem de si, entendida, em sua dinamicidade, como a capacidade de reconhecer-se, ao exercer influência nas escolhas e decisões feitas pelo sujeito, em benefício da autoestima. As conclusões apontam que práticas como as do CCC exemplificam uma luta resistente de preservação e reapropriação da cultura local, por ocuparem o espaço de cidadania cultural, pela apropriação positiva do território e pelo fortalecimento da identidade cultural de ser Mangueirense. Além disso, também influenciam na construção da subjetividade do sujeito.

Of this if assume that, it left of the estimated one of that it has new forms of represent, invention of the identity, despite the reasons for such are most diverse. This agreement through the inquiry of the practical affirmations and the narratives elaborated for the pertaining citizens argues the two distinct institutions in two Brazilian regions Rio de Janeiro and the Bahia. The cultural center Cartola in the community of the Mangueira (RJ) and the sóciocultural association of the Ilê Aiyê in the community of Curuzu (BA), chose as focus of analysis. Identified the scenes of such institutions and stand out which had been their historical logics cultural that it served of ballast for the agreement that the citizens make exactly of itself and as they intend through an reverse speed-interpretation to be resubmitted. It came into the examination of the cultural products that the institutions choosen as representations of its movements and new forms of elaborating to become subject and to reach an emancipation. It understood a new perspective for the movements that carry through and as they evaluate its potentialities to face the conditions of social vulnerability that reaches them. Several had been the categories profiteers of disclosing of the theoretical landscape and the scenes that frame the problematic one of this research. But the cultural studies are basic of the understanding of the complexion of this research. Using also of the reference of Bourdieu and the psicossociologia, specifically of those conceived to the works developed for the Laboratoire de Changement Sociale of the University of Paris VII, Denis Diderot. Finally the grammars are differentiated specify of each movement and dimension the terms of its constructions Esta tese Comunidades: redutos de identidades culturais, narrativas e práticas afirmativas , problematiza e questiona as identidades culturais no momento contemporâneo, refletindo em que medida o discurso sobre comunidades é aglutinador das novas tentativas de afirmação das identidades. Subentende - se que partiu do pressuposto de que há novas formas de reinvenção da identidade, ainda que os motivos para tal feito sejam os mais diversos. O presente projeto discute esta possibilidade através da investigação das práticas afirmativas e das narrativas elaboradas pelos sujeitos pertencentes a duas instituições distintas em duas regiões brasileiras O Rio de Janeiro e a Bahia. Teve como foco de análise o Centro Cultural Cartola na comunidade da Mangueira (RJ) e a Associação Sociocultural do Ilê Aiyê na comunidade do Curuzu (BA). Mapeou os cenários de tais instituições e identificou quais foram as lógicas histórico - culturais que serviram de lastro para o entendimento que os sujeitos fazem de si mesmos nesses locais e como pretendem através de re-interpretações particulares serem reapresentados. Adentrou ao exame dos produtos culturais que as instituições elegem como representações de seus movimentos e como elaboram novas formas de fazer-se sujeito e atingir sua emancipação. Compreendeu uma nova perspectiva para os movimentos que realizam e como avaliam suas potencialidades para enfrentar a condição de vulnerabilidade social. Várias foram as categorias atravessadoras do descortinar da paisagem teórica e dos cenários que emolduram a problemática desta pesquisa. The September 11th event, has proved to be the landmark for the current barbarism, exposing therefore the fractures of an unequal and mortally wounded by the moral indifference world. My first hypothesis related to the culture of indifference is based on the perception that terrorism, intolerance, fear and indifference consist in the current symptoms of malaise present in the human civilization, as defined by Freud in his 1929 s "Civilization and its discontents , in which he successfully shows the human suffering regarding the apathy, wars and social violence. Another view would refer to the acceptance of indifference, among the symptoms above, as a social pathology as well as the prove of a purchaser and predatory society, in which the authors express their "alienation in relation to the others, as moral beings i.e. attitudes of detachment, whose experienced hostility or persecution are replaced by the disqualification of the author, resulting in more violence and indifference. This study was conducted at the Social Psychology Pos-Graduate Center, in the State University of Rio de Janeiro. The investigation method used is based on the literature search-analytical transdisciplinary supported by complexity. The theoretical foundation was based on extensive bibliography, featuring authors such as Zizek, Lévinas, Baudrillard, Badiou, Sontag, Lipovetsky, Derrida, Morin, Bauman, Levi and other theorists of social sciences. Four key concepts were articulated throughout the work and guided the theoretical aspects as well as the careful analysis and interpretation of books, periodicals, legal texts, documents, constitutions, sites, statutes, laws, films and documentaries: the culture of indifference, the event of September 11th, 2001 as well as its socio-political effects and the global terrorism A presente TESE DE DOUTORADO teve como objetos de investigação a cultura da indiferença na contemporaneidade, os múltiplos reflexos dos ataques terroristas de 11 de setembro de 2001 e o terrorismo global. O acontecimento de 11 de setembro de 2001, nos Estados Unidos da América, revelou-se como o marco inicial da barbárie atual, expondo as fraturas de um mundo desigual e ferido mortalmente pela indiferença moral. Minha primeira hipótese sobre a cultura da indiferença reside na percepção de que o terrorismo, a intolerância, o medo e a indiferença constituem os sintomas atuais do mal estar na civilização, tal como definido por Freud em sua obra homônima O mal estar da civilização , de 1929, na qual ele evidencia o sofrimento humano diante da apatia, das guerras e da violência social. Numa segunda hipótese, viso a confirmar que, dentre os sintomas citados, a indiferença é uma patologia social e a marca de uma sociedade consumista e predatória, na qual seus sujeitos manifestam alheamento em relação ao outro, isto é, atitudes de distanciamento, na qual a hostilidade ou o vivido persecutório são substituídos pela desqualificação do sujeito como ser moral, gerando violência e mais indiferença. Utilizamos, como método de investigação bibliográfica, a pesquisa analítica transdiciplinar, apoiada no pensamento complexo. A fundamentação teórica baseou-se em ampla bibliografia, onde figuram autores como Zizek, Lévinas, Baudrillard, Badiou, Sontag, Lipovetsky, Derrida, Morin., Bauman, Levi, entre outros teóricos das ciências sociais. Quatro conceitos-chave foram articulados ao longo do trabalho e nortearam a análise criteriosa e interpretativa de livros, periódicos, textos legais, documentos, constituições, sites, estatutos, normas, filmes e documentários: a cultura da indiferença; o acontecimento de 11 de setembro de 2001 e seus efeitos sócio-políticos; e o terrorismo global

The ambience, considered as a category in the social imaginary field, recognize the space as a place that is both, product and producer of symbolic relationship and senses. After reviewing the literature concerning the purpose here, an ethnographic study was accomplished throughout both the participant observation and the discourse analysis (French school) in a full-size gymnastic academy localized in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro city. The results obtained in the field research highlighted for three categories of ambience analysis: 1) the mirror house: the motivation of images, objects and shapes; 2) the human motivation: the professional of physical education; and 3) the tribe symbol: the body. It is reasonable to consider the ambience as a significant contributor for emerging the body cult developed in academies and, proliferating in other spheres of social life, it apparently excludes those who are not concerned to the phenomenon under discussion. Furthermore, it is possible to establish an analogy for describing the ambience by pondering: from the Dionysian hedonism to the Apollonian discipline, the image of Narcissus prevails. Finally, mapping the ambience of gymnastic academy is an interesting source for reflecting some of the contemporary social relations, which if compared to other historic periods, were either, maintained, modified or would be into a process of transition. The phenomenon of body cult, as well as the approach by the way dealings is ascertained by searching for esthetics represent the transitory moment which the complexes societies are submitted. O objetivo principal do presente estudo foi descrever, a partir da ambiência das academias de ginástica, o fenômeno do culto ao corpo na sociedade contemporânea. A ambiência, considerada uma categoria no campo do imaginário social, compreende o espaço como um lugar que é, ao mesmo tempo, produto e produtor de relações simbólicas e de sentidos. Após a revisão de literatura acerca da temática proposta, realizou-se um estudo etnográfico mediado por observação participante e análise de discurso (escola francesa) em uma academia de grande porte situada na zona sul da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Os resultados da pesquisa de campo apontaram para três categorias de análise da ambiência: 1) a casa dos espelhos: a motivação das imagens, dos objetos e das formas; 2) a motivação humana: o profissional de educação física; e 3) o símbolo da tribo: o corpo. Pode-se considerar que a ambiência contribui significativamente para a emergência do culto ao corpo desenvolvido nas academias e, proliferado em outras esferas da vida social, sendo aparentemente excludente àqueles que não abarcam o fenômeno em questão. Nesse sentido, é possível estabelecer uma analogia da descrição da ambiência com a seguinte ponderação: do hedonismo Dionisíaco à disciplina Apolínea prevalece a imagem de Narciso. Por fim, o mapeamento da ambiência da academia é uma fonte interessante para se pensar algumas das relações sociais da contemporaneidade que, quando comparadas a outros períodos históricos, mantiveram-se, modificaram-se ou que estariam em processo de transição. O fenômeno do culto ao corpo e a forma com que as relações se estabelecem em função da busca pela estética, decerto, representam o momento transitório ao qual as sociedades complexas estão submetidas.
