The purpose of the study was identified by the effort to complement the standard sports training programme with a portfolio of innovative means and methods to optimise the process of achieving performance in gymnastics competitions. The group of subjects investigated was female and consisted of 19 gymnasts, aged 10 - 12 years. They were tested initially and finally to determine the effects that going through the training program had on the analysed indicators. The Matorin, Flamingo, Balance Plate Position Maintenance and the "Y" tests were used in the research. We used descriptive statistics (Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation, Median, Confidence Interval and Coefficient of Variation) and significance tests which were used to assess the statistical significance of the difference between the means for two sets of scores (STUDENT paired sample t-test and Wilcoxon test). Based on the results recorded, we identified a significant difference between the mean values for the two tests. Following the results obtained, we can confirm that they help to form an overall picture from the perspective of motor skills on gymnasts and that there is a significant effectiveness of the motor intervention program in the sports training process.

Spatio-temporal orientation and balance ability at certain ages show the superiority of a certain gender type in terms of the level of performance recorded. The aim of this study was to investigate whether performance in spatial-temporal orientation and balance ability differs by gender. In order to determine the differences between genders, an analysis was carried out on a sample of 120 primary school pupils who were divided by gender into two groups: 58 girls (M=27,13, SD=6,50 kg; M=129,07, SD=6,58 cm) and 62 boys (M=29,39, SD=7,90 kg; M=130,92, SD =7,02 cm). The following tests were applied: Matorin and Flamingo Test. For the interpretation of the results the Independent Samples T Test was used. According to the results of the research, in the case of the Flamingo Test - the handy leg, the values (M=4.48, SD=4.21) are significantly higher (t=2.21, DF=118, two-tailed p=0.28) than those of boys (M=3.06, SD=2.62). Regarding the Matorin Test - skill part, boys' values (M=283.06, SD=82.04) are significantly higher (t=3.50, DF=118, two-tailed, p=0.001) than girls' (M=232.55, SD=75.35). It is recommended to develop spatial-temporal orientation and balance skills because these skills play a considerable role in sports and technical games where they are in high demand. Social isolation provoked major changes in the daily routine of people. Hence, physical exercise seems to be an alternative to their various problems. Physical Education teachers can provide counselling and monitoring, ensuring correct and safe practice of physical exercises even during lockdown. The purpose of this research study was to monitor the motor quality of force throughout the four middle school years, which happened to include the Covid-19 pandemic. Our research sample was represented by 47 students divided into two groups, by gender: 26 girls (14.15 ± 0.36 years, 56.51 ± 11.66 kg, 163.2 ± 6.13 cm) and 21 boys (14.18 ± 0.52 years, 63.3 ± 11.13 kg, 170.8 ± 6.45 cm). We applied the following tests: push-ups; torso raises from dorsal decubitus; torso raises from facial decubitus, and standing long jump. We interpreted the results using the Anova test. Statistical calculations indicate a significant difference in push-ups (p = <0.0001). The other trials did not record great variations, given that the results remained at the same level. Considering the results obtained, it is worth noting that the Covid-19 pandemic, caused by SARS-Co-V-2, brought along a devastating threat for human society in terms of health and a healthy lifestyle. Step aerobics is a form of practicing of aerobic fitness representing an efficient and pleasant alternative in the process of obtaining optimal physical condition. The purpose of this study is the confirm the hypothesis according to which the practice of step aerobics routines middle-aged women has an important role in improving the quality of life. The research was carried out throughout the year 2018, on a sample of 20 female adults attending Clubul D in Iaşi, who were divided into two groups: experimental and witness and it was carried out throughout three phases: phase I: selecting and studying bibliography, developing the research plan and determining the sample; phase II: applying the initial tests: Body mass index- BMI and Ruffier Test; phase III: applying the final tests, comparatively analysing the results and the progress obtained, to point out the conclusions. In order to analyse the results we used the ANOVA statistical analysis test. The results indicate that the independent variable that we applied does not influence the results of the IMC (p= 0,2805), but the Ruffier index presents statistically significant changes (p=0,0001). As a general conclusion, we want to emphasize that the sport for heath, more exactly the step-aerobic programs, improves the negative effects of some diseases, the physical deficiencies, functional or trauma to which the human body may be subjected, and thus contributing to its recovery.
