The article aims to present an experience report of the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (PIBID) in the development of one of the subprojects of the Pedagogy course at the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG) of the Academic Unit of Divinópolis. The literacy theme is at the center of the debate of the Pedagogy subproject for teaching and teaching practice to consider the possibilities of school education to provide the full development of students in literacy in the initial grades of the elementary school in a municipal public school. Therefore, a qualitative study of a descriptive nature of the experience report type was carried out, which aims to describe the experiences and perspectives of academics/scholarship holders, supervising professor of the public education network, and area coordinators linked to the Program, which, during the development activities provided us with moments of reflection and monitoring of teaching practices. The report explores the playful-didactic activities developed in classrooms, giving a little glimpse of their routine, and highlights the relevance of PIBID in allowing scholarship holders to experience the teaching practice. O artigo tem como objetivo apresentar um relato de experiência do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) no desenvolvimento de um dos subprojetos do curso de Pedagogia da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG) da Unidade Acadêmica de Divinópolis. O tema alfabetização se encontra no centro de debate do subprojeto de Pedagogia para o ensino e a prática de ensino de modo a considerar as possibilidades de a educação escolar proporcionar o desenvolvimento pleno dos alunos em alfabetização das séries iniciais do ensino fundamental de uma escola pública municipal. Para tanto, realizou-se um estudo qualitativo de natureza descritiva do tipo relato de experiência que visa descrever vivências e olhares de acadêmicos/bolsistas, professor supervisor da rede pública de ensino e de coordenadores de área vinculados ao Programa, o que no decorrer do desenvolvimento das atividades oportunizou-nos momentos de reflexão e acompanhamento das práticas de ensino. O relato explora as atividades lúdico-didáticas desenvolvidas em salas de aula, vislumbrando um pouco sua rotina e destaca a relevância do PIBID em permitir aos bolsistas vivenciarem a prática docente.

Gliomas account for nearly 70% of the central nervous system tumors and present a median survival of approximately 12-17 months. Studies have shown that administration of novel natural antineoplastic agents is been highly effective for treating gliomas. This study was conducted to investigate the antitumor potential (in vitro and in vivo) of Miconia chamissois Naudin for treating glioblastomas. We investigated the cytotoxicity of the chloroform partition and its sub-fraction in glioblastoma cell lines (GAMG and U251MG) and one normal cell line of astrocytes. The fraction showed cytotoxicity and was selective for tumor cells. Characterization of this fraction revealed a single compound, Matteucinol, which was first identified in the species M. chamissois. Matteucinol promoted cell death via intrinsic apoptosis in the adult glioblastoma lines. In addition, Matteucinol significantly reduced the migration, invasion, and clonogenicity of the tumor cells. Notably, it also reduced tumor growth and angiogenesis in vivo. Moreover, this agent showed synergistic effects with temozolomide, a chemotherapeutic agent commonly used in clinical practice. Our study demonstrates that Matteucinol from M chamissois is a promising compound for the treatment of glioblastomas and may be used along with the existing chemotherapeutic agents for more effective treatment.

Annona crassiflora Mart. is a species native to the Cerrado biome, whose fruit is known as araticum or marolo. Plant parts are widely used in folk medicine to treat inflammation and pain associated with rheumatism, wounds, venereal diseases, snakebites, and microbial infections. Thus, we investigated a fraction rich in phenolic compounds (PCAc) obtained from the crude extract of the peel of these fruits on non-cytotoxic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and collagen biosynthesis properties in the healing of wounds induced on the back of BALB/c mice. For the control group, the induced wounds were not treated and for the others, wounds were treated topically with vehicle or vehicle plus PCAc. Both fractions contained in PCAc demonstrated effective protection on fibroblasts. We highlight the effect of the ethyl acetate fraction which, in addition to the protective effect, has a proliferative activity on these cells. In addition, PCAc caused improvement in healing after 7 days of treatment and in the longest period of treatment with PCAc (7, 14, and 21 days) there was a greater contraction of the wound, accompanied by resolution of the inflammatory process, antioxidant defense, increasing collagen synthesis, and modulation of metalloproteinases. PCAc demonstrated better re-epithelialization and organization of the dermis at the end of treatment. The changes promoted by the phenolic compounds of A. crassiflora were important in the healing process, especially in activities related to inflammation, oxidative stress, and fibrogenesis.

Lower lip squamous cell carcinomas (LLSCC) could be associated with a previous history of potentially malignant oral diseases (PMOD), especially actinic cheilitis (AC), with high sun exposure being a well-described risk factor. Immune evasion mechanisms, such as the PD-1/PD-L1 (programmed cell death protein 1/programmed death-ligand 1) pathway has been gaining prominence since immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors showed a positive effect on the survival of patients with different types of neoplasms. Concomitant with the characterization of the tumor microenvironment, the expression of either or both PD-1 and PD-L1 molecules may estimate mutual relations of progression or regression of the carcinoma and prognostic values of the patient. Objective: Considering the importance of tumor microenvironment characterization, this study aims to determine the immunoexpression of PD-L1 and correlate with the frequency of CD4+ and CD8+ cells in AC and LLSCC lesions and with tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in LLSCC and its relationship with histopathological characteristics. Methodology: This sample includes 33 cases of AC and 17 cases of LLSCC. The cases were submitted to histopathological analysis and to CD4+, CD8+, and PD-L1+ cell determination by immunohistochemistry. Results: There was a significant difference among the frequencies of CD4+, CD8+, and PD-L1+ cells between AC and LSCC cases, higher in the last group. Moreover, histopathological and atypical changes in AC and LLSCC were correlated with the frequencies of PD-L1+, CD4+, and CD8+ cells. In AC, PD-L1+ cases had a low frequency of CD4+ cells, but on the other hand, PD-L1+ cases of LLSCC had a higher frequency of CD4+ and CD8+ cells. Conclusion: Therefore, the PD-L1 molecule may be a potential escape route for the immune response in oral lesions, but the mechanisms differ between AC and LLSCC. Future studies related to immune evasion and immunotherapy in oral lesions should consider the analysis of inflammatory infiltrate and TILs.

The study had as the general objective to analyze the care provided by the nursing team to the individual in palliative care in oncology and the specific objective to identify the challenges in nursing care for cancer patients in palliative care and to discuss nursing care for cancer patients in palliative care with emphasis on the challenges. This is an integrative literature review study, search performed in the LILACS database (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), and BDENF (Nursing Database) , in May and June 2021. We concluded that cancer patients in palliative care need assistance that makes this moment less painful, given the situation that there is no longer any possibility of cure. Thus, nursing faces several challenges to provide this assistance, making the process of application of assistance difficult.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the immunohistochemical expressions of PD1, CD4+, and CD8+ in premalignant lesions (OPML) that were transformed into oral squamous cell carcinoma OSCC (OPML-OSCC), in OSCC and also in premalignant lesions that were not transformed into OSCC (OPML-NOSSC). Retrospective analyses were performed in order to verify the demographic characteristics of the patients. CD4, CD8, and PD1 IMH studies were carried out on OPML and OSCC samples from 11 patients with OPML-OSCC and OPML, together with samples from 14 patients with OPML-NOSCC. The differences between OPML-OSCC and OPML-NOSCC were analyzed. Non-homogenous leukoplakia, together with the related oral subsite, and the lack of an exposure to tobacco, were all associated with malignant transformations. There were no statistical differences in the PD1 expression and the CD4+ cells in OPML-OSCC and OPML-NOSCC. A significant increment in the CD8+ cells was noted in the OPML that evolved into carcinomas when compared with OPML-NOSCC (p = 0.05), whereas there were higher CD8+ cells levels in the carcinomas when compared with the OPML that evolved into carcinomas (p = 0.027). CD8+ cells infiltrate more in OPML-NOSCC than in OPML-OSCC. Carcinoma is more infiltrated by CD8+ cells than its associated OPML. Understanding immunological factors associated with malignant transformation of oral premalignant lesions can open a new way to treat this disease.

Despite the standard approaches to treat the highly aggressive and invasive glioblastoma (GBM), it remains incurable. In this sense, cannabinoids highlight as a promising tool, because this tumor overexpresses CB1 and/or CB2 receptors and being, therefore, can be susceptible to cannabinoids treatment. Thus, this work investigated the action of the cannabinoid agonist WIN55-212-2 on GBM cell lines and non-malignant cell lines, in vitro and in vivo. WIN was selectively cytotoxic to GBM cells. These presented blebbing and nuclear alterations in addition to cell shrinkage and chromatin condensation. WIN also significantly inhibited the migration of GAMG and U251 cells. Finally, the data also showed that the antitumor effects of WIN are exerted, at least to some extent, by the expression of p53 and increased cathepsin D in addition to the decreased expression of HSP70.This data can indicate caspase-independent cell death mechanism. In addition, WIN decreased tumoral perimeter as well as caused a reduction the blood vessels in this area, without causing lysis, hemorrhage or blood clotting. Objetivo: avaliar a adesão de pacientes aos tratamentos antineoplásicos orais e identificar os fatores que a influenciam. Método: estudo quantitativo, prospectivo, de delineamento não experimental, realizado entre julho de 2013 e janeiro de 2014, em um hospital oncológico no interior do estado de Minas Gerais, Brasil. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: questionário sociodemográfico e clínico, escala Medida de Adesão ao Tratamento e Questionário dos Fatores que podem Influenciar a Adesão ao Tratamento. Os dados foram submetidos a estatística descritiva e testes de correlação entre variáveis. Resultados: a média de adesão foi de 6,02 ± 0,8 pontos, e seis (4,9%) pacientes se mostraram não aderentes ao tratamento. Os fatores que mais dificultaram a adesão foram: dificuldade para a aquisição do antineoplásico (36,1%) e utilização de muitos medicamentos (14,8%). Conclusão: a taxa de adesão ao uso de antineoplásicos orais é alta, entretanto ainda há muitos fatores que dificultam a adesão e a continuidade do tratamento.Descritores: Neoplasias; Antineoplásicos; Enfermagem; Aceitação, pelo Paciente, de Cuidados de Saúde.

In this study, the effects of the controlled and sustained release of methotrexate from poly(ɛ-caprolactone) implants were evaluated in the solid Ehrlich tumor. The drug locally leached from the implantable devices was capable of reducing the tumor growth and the necrotic areas of the tumor site. Furthermore, the methotrexate exerted its anti-tumor effect probably by the recruitment of neutrophils at the tumor site, which assisted in modulating the growth of the tumor. The polymeric implants containing methotrexate could be a chemotherapic alternative to treat locally solid tumors with lower systemic side effects.

Estudo transversal com objetivo de identificar a pontuação das subescalas que avaliam o risco para úlcera por pressão na aplicação da Escala de Braden e associá-las aos motivos de internação hospitalar, às comorbidades e às características demográficas de pacientes adultos hospitalizados. A amostra constou de 187 pacientes em risco para úlcera por pressão com escore total ≤13 na referida escala. Os dados foram coletados retrospectivamente em fichas com a Escala de Braden e em prontuários, analisados pela estatística descritiva e testes de Mann-Whitney e Sperman. Os resultados demonstraram maioria de mulheres, idosos, portadores de doenças cerebrovasculares, pulmonares, cardiovasculares, metabólicas e neoplásicas. Os escores verificados pelas subescalas apontaram pacientes acamados, com mobilidade e atividade limitadas. A nutrição alterada também se mostrou fator importante, seguido pelos problemas de fricção e/ou cisalhamento e alteração da percepção sensorial e umidade. Estes achados permitiram subsidiar a qualificação da prevenção da úlcera por pressão. Cross-sectional study that aimed to identify subscales scores that evaluate the risk for pressure ulcer in the implementation of the Braden Scale, and associate them with reasons for hospitalization, comorbidities and demographic characteristics of the hospitalized adult patients. The sample consisted of 187 patients at risk for pressure ulcer with a total score ≤13 on that scale. Data were collected retrospectively in the sheets with the Braden Scale and medical records, analyzed by descriptive statistics and tests of Mann-Whitney and Spearman. The results showed majority of women and elderly with cerebral, pulmonary, cardiovascular, metabolic and cancer diseases. The scores verified by the subscales indicated bedfast patients with limited mobility and activity. The altered nutrition was also an important factor, followed by the problems of friction and/or shearing, alteration of sensory perception and moisture. These findings allow us to support the prevention qualification of pressure ulcer. Estudio transversal con objetivo de identificar la puntuación de sub escalas que evalúan el riesgo para la úlcera por presión en la aplicación de la Escala de Braden, y asociarlas a los motivos de hospitalización, comorbilidades y características demográficas de pacientes adultos. La muestra fue de 187 pacientes con riesgo de úlcera por presión con un puntaje total ≤13 en la referida escala. Los datos fueron recolectados retrospectivamente en fichas que contiene la Escala de Braden y en los registros médicos, analizados por estadística descriptiva y test de Mann-Whitney y Spearman. La mayoría eran mujeres, ancianos, con enfermedades cerebrovasculares, pulmonares, cardiovasculares, metabólicas y cáncer. Los puntajes verificados por las sub escalas apuntaron pacientes con movilidad y actividad limitadas, nutrición alterada, problemas de fricción, alteración de la percepción sensorial y humedad. Estos resultados nos permiten apoyar la calificación de la prevención de úlceras por presión.

This cross-sectional study characterizes patients at risk of Pressure Ulcers (PUs) and identifies their corresponding Nursing Diagnoses (NDs). The sample consisted of 219 hospitalizations of adult patients at risk for developing a PU established through the Braden Scale. Data concerning the results of the application of the Braden Scale were retrospectively collected from the patients’ medical files and statistically analyzed. Most patients were elderly women hospitalized for an average of nine days, affected by cancer, cerebrovascular, lung, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. The most frequent NDs were Risk for infection, Self-care deficit syndrome, Bathing/hygiene self-care deficit, Impaired physical mobility, Imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements, Ineffective breathing pattern, Impaired tissue integrity, Acute pain, Impaired urinary elimination, Impaired skin integrity, and Risk for impaired skin integrity. We conclude that most NDs are common in clinical nursing practice. Se trata de un estudio transversal con objetivos de caracterizar a los pacientes en riesgo de contraer úlcera por presión (UP) e identificar sus diagnósticos de enfermería (DEs). La muestra consistió de 219 hospitalizaciones de pacientes adultos en riesgo de contraer UP, determinado por la Escala de Braden. Los datos fueron recolectados retrospectivamente en registros de la Escala de Braden en ficha electrónica y, analizados estadísticamente. La mayoría de los pacientes fueron mujeres, ancianos, con tiempo de internación promedio de nueve días y portadores de enfermedades cerebrovasculares, pulmonares, cardiovasculares, metabólicas y neoplásicas. Los DEs más frecuentes fueron Riesgo de infección, Síndrome de déficit en el autocuidado, Déficit en el Autocuidado: baño/higiene, Movilidad física perjudicada; Nutrición desequilibrada: menos que las necesidades corporales, Estándar respiratorio ineficaz, Integridad tisular perjudicada, Dolor agudo, Alteración en la eliminación urinaria, Integridad de la piel perjudicada, Riesgo para perjuicio de la integridad de la piel. Se concluye que estos DEs, en la mayoría, son comunes a la práctica clínica de enfermería. Estudo transversal, cujos objetivos foram caracterizar os pacientes em risco para úlcera por pressão (UP) e identificar os seus diagnósticos de enfermagem (DEs). A amostra consistiu de 219 hospitalizações de pacientes adultos em risco para UP, determinado pela escala de Braden. Os dados foram coletados, retrospectivamente, em registros da escala de Braden e em prontuário eletrônico e, após, analisados estatisticamente. A maioria dos pacientes era de mulheres, idosos, com tempo de internação mediano de nove dias e portadores de doenças cerebrovasculares, pulmonares, cardiovasculares, metabólicas e neoplásicas. Os DEs mais frequentes foram risco para infecção, síndrome do déficit no autocuidado, déficit no autocuidado: banho/higiene, mobilidade física prejudicada, nutrição desequilibrada: menos do que as necessidades corporais, padrão respiratório ineficaz, integridade tissular prejudicada, dor aguda, alteração na eliminação urinária, integridade da pele prejudicada, risco para prejuízo da integridade da pele. Conclui-se que esses DEs, na maioria, são comuns à prática clínica de enfermagem.

113 Background: OSCC is a public health problem worldwide, mainly due to its advanced stage diagnosis. The late diagnosis is a nonsense problem in view of this neoplasia often begins as PML. Clinical, molecular and immunological factors have been associated with the cancerization process. Objective: evaluate clinical differences and immunohistochemistry expression of PD1, CD4 and CD8 in PML that transformed in OSCC (PML-OSCC) and PML that didn´t transformed in OSCC (PML-NOSSC). Methods: CD4, CD8 and PD1 immunohistochemistry studies were carried out on PML and OSCC samples of 11 patients with PML – OSCC and PML samples of 14 patients with PML-NOSCC. Statistical differences were analyzed between the two groups: PML-OSCC and PML-NOSCC. Results: Non-homogenous leukoplakia, tongue and lack of exposure to tobacco were associated with cancerization. PD1 strong immunoexpression were observed in 63.6% of PML and 90.9% of OSCC. There was no statistical difference CD4+ cells level in PML-OSCC and PML-NOSCC. A significant increase in CD8+ cells was noted in OSCC comparing with PML–OSCC (p = 0.05). CD8+ cells levels is higher in PML-NOSCC compared with PML-OSCC (p = 0.027). Conclusions: CD8+ cells infiltrate more PML-NOSCC than PML-OSCC. Carcinoma is more infiltrated by CD8+ cells than its associated premalignant lesion. The evolution of immune response from an immunosurveillance phase to editing, equilibrium, suppression and immuno-escape can be present in oral carcinogenesis process. Enquadramento: Em Portugal, mais de 90% dos fumadores iniciaram o consumo de tabaco antes dos 25 anos, verificando-se um aumento entre os jovens mais escolari-zados. Os estudantes de enfermagem deviam apresentar comportamentos ajustados a promotores de saúde, justificando os conhecimentos obtidos na formação académica. Objetivos: Caracterizar o consumo de tabaco nos estudantes de Enfermagem. Identi-ficar as variáveis sociodemográficas e académicas que influenciam o consumo de ta-baco em estudantes de enfermagem. Analisar a influência das variáveis de contexto psicológico no consumo de tabaco nos estudantes de enfermagem. Métodos: Estudo quantitativo, descritivo-correlacional e explicativo. Questionário constituído pela caracterização sociodemográfica, académica, Escala de Ansiedade, Depressão e Stress, Escala de Afeto Positivo e Negativo, Teste de Fagerström para a Dependência da Nicotina e o Inventário de Personalidade de Eysenck. Amostra não probabilística por conveniência constituída por 404 estudantes de enfermagem. Resultados: dos participantes 86,1% são do género feminino, 38,4% têm idade igual ou inferior a 20 anos, 88,6% são solteiros e 28,0% frequentam o 4º ano. A prevalência de consumo de tabaco é de 25.2%; 45,0% dos estudantes com menos de 20 anos têm um nível de dependência muito baixo; os residentes em zona urbana e que vivem so-zinhos têm valores mais elevados de dependência; verificou-se uma relação preditora entre a extroversão e o stress com o consumo de tabaco. Conclusão: com este estudo constatamos a necessidade da implementação de disci-plinas de dissuasão do consumo de substâncias psicoativas e da criação de uma con-sulta de cessação tabágica para os estudantes do ensino superior. Abstract Background: In Portugal, more than 90% of smokers have initiated tobacco con-sumption before twenty five years old, with an increase in young more schooled people. Nursing students should show adjusted behavior to health promoters, justifying the knowledge of academic formation. Objectives: Characterize tobacco consumption between nursing students, identify the sociodemografphics and academic variables that influence the tobacco consumption in nursing students. Analyze the influence of the variables of psychological context in the tobacco consumption in nursing students. Methods: A quantitative, descriptive-correlational and explicative survey. The ques-tionnaire is constituted by the sociodemographics and academic characterization, Stress, Anxiety and Depression Scale, Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, Fager-ström Test for Nicotine Dependence and the Eysenck Personality Inventory. A non-probability convenience sample, constituted by 404 nursing students. Results: Of participants, 86,1% are females, 38,4% have twenty years or less, 88,6% are single and 28,0% are in the 4º year; the prevalence of tobacco consumption is 25,2%; 45,0% of students with less than 20 years have very low level of nicotine de-pendence; those who live in urban area and alone have higher levels of dependence; we found relationship between extroversion and stress with tobacco use. Conclusion: With this investigation we find the need to implement deterrence disci-plines of psychoactive substances (as tobacco) and to create quit smoking programs for the higher education.

The present study evaluated the expression of α1 and β1 Na,K-ATPase, as well as the effects of digoxin (DGX) on oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCCs).Immunohistochemical expression of α1 and β1 Na,K-ATPase were evaluated in 60 patients who underwent treatment at the São João de Deus Hospital. SCC-25 viability was assessed by the colorimetric assay. Chi-square or Fisher's exact tests were used to analyze the association of α1 and β1 Na,K-ATPase expression with the variables.Immunoexpression of α1 and β1 Na,K-ATPase were observed in 28% and 55% of the tumors, however these proteins were not significant prognostic factors. Tobacco was significantly associated with α1 expression. SCC-25 viability decreased significantly after treatment with 1 μM DGX at 24 h.The smoking status of OSCC patients was significantly associated with α1 expression and DGX affected the SCC-25 viability in a dose- and duration-dependent manner.

Psoriasis is a chronic disease with worldwide prevalences of 0.6-4.8%. Its inherent chronic inflammatory component predisposes patients to cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.This study aimed to evaluate the associations of psoriasis with comorbidities and health risk factors such as smoking and alcohol intake, and to examine demographic differences in its occurrence in a southern Brazil population.A case-control study was conducted at the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre between April 2009 and March 2011. The sample comprised 350 patients with psoriasis and 346 healthy control subjects. Data were collected using a standardized questionnaire. Tobacco load and alcohol consumption per person were investigated. Physical examination included blood pressure, waist circumference (WC), and body mass index (BMI) calculation. Clinical evaluation investigated whether psoriasis was localized or widespread and the percentage of body surface area (BSA) affected.Psoriasis patients exhibited an increased WC (P 0.01) and BMI (P = 0.01) and higher incidences of smoking (P 0.01) and depression (P 0.01) than control subjects. A comparison of patients with involvement of20% and20% of BSA revealed significant differences in prevalences of hypertension (P = 0.03) and diabetes (P 0.01).The present study demonstrated higher incidences of depression, increased WC, overweight, obesity, and smoking in psoriasis patients compared with controls. Patients with20% of BSA affected were 1.69 times more likely to have hypertension and 2.9 times more likely to have diabetes. Healthcare providers should be alert to the increased cardiovascular risk and metabolic specificities of patients with psoriasis. Appropriate information on healthy lifestyle habits, including maintenance of a healthy weight and participation in physical exercise, and avoidance of alcohol and smoking are fundamental.

Objective:To identify the nursing care prescribed for patients in risk for pressure ulcer (PU) and to compare those with the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) interventions. Method: Cross mapping study conducted in a university hospital. The sample was composed of 219 adult patients hospitalized in clinical and surgical units. The inclusion criteria were: score ≤ 13 in the Braden Scale and one of the nursing diagnoses, Self-Care deficit syndrome, Impaired physical mobility, Impaired tissue integrity, Impaired skin integrity, Risk for impaired skin integrity. The data were collected retrospectively in a nursing prescription system and statistically analyzed by crossed mapping. Result: It was identified 32 different nursing cares to prevent PU, mapped in 17 different NIC interventions, within them: Skin surveillance, Pressure ulcer prevention and Positioning. Conclusion: The cross mapping showed similarities between the prescribed nursing care and the NIC interventions. Objetivo: Identificar los cuidados de enfermería prescritos para pacientes con riesgo de úlceras por presión (UPP) y compararlos con las intervenciones de la Clasificación de Intervenciones de Enfermería(NIC). Método: Estudio con mapeo cruzado en el hospital universitario. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 219 pacientes adultos internados en unidades médico-quirúrgicas. Los criterios de inclusión fueron: puntuación ≤ 13 en la escala de Braden y uno de los siguientes diagnósticos de enfermería: Síndrome de déficit de autocuidado, Deterioro de la movilidad física, deterioro de la integridad tisular, deterioro de la integridad cutánea, riesgo de deterioro de la integridad cutánea. Los datos fueron recolectados retrospectivamente en el sistema de prescripción de enfermería y analizados estadísticamente y con mapeo cruzado. Resultados: Se identificaron 32 cuidados de enfermería distintos para la prevención de las UPP, mapeados en 17 intervenciones NIC diferentes, entre ellas: Supervisión de la piel, Prevención de úlceras por presión y Posiciones corporales. Conclusión: El mapeo cruzado mostró similitud entre los cuidados de enfermería y las intervenciones NIC.

Objetivo: Identificar os cuidados de enfermagem prescritos para pacientes em risco de úlcera por pressão (UP) e compará-los com as intervenções da Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC). Método: Estudo com mapeamento cruzado realizado em hospital universitário. A amostra constou de 219 pacientes adultos internados em unidades clínicas e cirúrgicas. Os critérios de inclusão foram: escore ≤ 13 na Escala de Braden e um dos diagnósticos de enfermagem, Síndrome do déficit do autocuidado, Mobilidade física prejudicada, Integridade tissular prejudicada, Integridade da pele prejudicada, Risco de integridade da pele prejudicada. Os dados foram coletados retrospectivamente em sistema de prescrição de enfermagem e analisados estatisticamente e por mapeamento cruzado. Resultados: Identificou-se 32 diferentes cuidados de enfermagem para prevenção de UP, mapeados em 17 diferentes intervenções NIC, dentre elas: Supervisão da pele, Prevenção de úlcera por pressão e Posicionamento. Conclusão: O mapeamento cruzado apontou semelhança entre os cuidados de enfermagem prescritos e as intervenções NIC. Estudo transversal, com objetivos de comparar os dados notificados em sistema de indicador de qualidade assistencial de úlcera por pressão (UP), com registros em evoluções de enfermagem nos prontuários dos pacientes, descrever o perfil clínico e os diagnósticos de enfermagem dos pacientes que desenvolveram UP grau II ou mais. Amostra de 188 pacientes em risco para UP, internados em unidades clínicas/cirúrgicas de um hospital universitário do sul do país. Dados coletados retrospectivamente em prontuário e sistema informatizado de indicador assistencial, analisados estatisticamente. Dos 188 pacientes, seis (3%) apresentaram notificação de UP grau II ou mais, entretanto, 19 (10%) tiveram registro nas evoluções de enfermagem, constatando-se subnotificação de dados. A maioria eram mulheres, idosos e portadores de doenças cerebrovasculares. O diagnóstico de enfermagem mais frequente foi Risco de infecção. Utilizar duas ou mais metodologias de pesquisa como dados de notificação de incidente e revisão retrospectiva em prontuário torna o resultado fidedigno. Cross-sectional study that aimed to compare the data reported in a system for the indication of pressure ulcer (PU) care quality, with the nursing evolution data available in the patients’ medical records, and to describe the clinical profile and nursing diagnosis of those who developed PU grade 2 or higher. Sample consisted of 188 patients at risk for PU in clinical and surgical units. Data were collected retrospectively from medical records and a computerized system of care indicators and statistically analyzed. Of the 188 patients, 6 (3%) were reported for pressure ulcers grade 2 or higher; however, only 19 (10%) were recorded in the nursing evolution records, thus revealing the underreporting of data. Most patients were women, older adults and patients with cerebrovascular diseases. The most frequent nursing diagnosis was risk of infection. The use of two or more research methodologies such as incident reporting data and retrospective review of patients’ records makes the results trustworthy. Estudio transversal con el objetivo de comparar los datos reportados por el indicador de calidad de la atención de las úlceras por presión (UP) con de la evolución de enfermería; describir los diagnósticos clínicos y de enfermería de los que desarrollaron UP grado II o superior. La muestra fue 188 pacientes en riesgo de UP hospitalizado en unidades médicas/quirúrgicas. Los datos se recogieron retrospectivamente de los registros médicos y del sistema informatizado de indicadores, analizado estadísticamente. De los 188 pacientes, 6 (3%) notificados como UP de grado II o superior, 19 (10%) se registró en la evolución de la enfermera, constatándose subregistro de los datos. Las muestra eran compuestas por mujeres, ancianos, enfermedades cerebrovasculares. El diagnóstico de enfermería más frecuente fue Riesgo de la infección. El uso de dos métodos de investigación, como datos de notificación de incidente y revisión retrospectiva de registros médicos, hace con que los resultados sean fiables.

Objective: to identify socio-demographic and clinical characteristics of the male genre suffering by Depressive Disorder. Method: retrospective and exploratory study conducted at the Clinical St. Benedict Menni, consisting of 399 patients. Results: the predominant features were age 41-50 years with 109 (27.3%); hospitalized by family own with 164 (41.1%) and length of stay exceeding 30 days, with 101 (25,3%). The largest type of liberation of the hospital was classified as medical liberation, with 330 (82.7%). The first hospitalization prevailed, with 350 (87.7%). The main funder of hospitalizations were in the Public Health System, with 321 (80.4%) admissions. Conclusion: the fact that men report less depressive symptoms contributes to the fake idea that Depressive Disorders affect less the male genre. In the last years, the number of admitted men through depression raised. Therefore health of these must receive attention
