Recent reports on the signatures of high-temperature superconductivity with a critical temperature Tc close to 80 K have triggered great research interest and extensive follow-up studies. Although zero-resistance state has been successfully achieved under improved hydrostatic pressure conditions, there is no clear evidence of superconducting diamagnetism in pressurized $\mathrm{La_{3}Ni_{2}O_{7-\delta}}$ due to the low superconducting volume fraction and limited magnetic measurement techniques under high pressure conditions. Here, using shallow nitrogen-vacancy centers implanted on the culet of diamond anvils as in-situ quantum sensors, we observe convincing evidence for the Meissner effect in polycrystalline samples $\mathrm{La_{3}Ni_{2}O_{7-\delta}}$ and $\mathrm{La_{2}PrNi_{2}O_{7}}$: the magnetic field expulsion during both field cooling and field warming processes. The correlated measurements of Raman spectra and NV-based magnetic imaging indicate an incomplete structural transformation related to the displacement of oxygen ions emerging in the non-superconducting region. Furthermore, comparative experiments on different pressure transmitting media (silicone oil and KBr) and nickelates ($\mathrm{La_{3}Ni_{2}O_{7-\delta}}$ and $\mathrm{La_{2}PrNi_{2}O_{7}}$) reveal that an improved hydrostatic pressure conditions and the substitution of La by Pr in $\mathrm{La_{3}Ni_{2}O_{7-\delta}}$ can dramatically increase the superconductivity. Our work clarifies the controversy about the Meissner effect of bilayer nickelate and contributes to a deeper understanding of the mechanism of nickelate high-temperature superconductors.

Here we investigate the internal sublattice symmetry, and thus the enriched topological classification of bosonic Bogoliubov excitations of thermodynamically stable free-boson systems with non-vanishing particle-number-nonconserving terms. Specifically, we show that such systems well described by the bosonic Bogoliubov-de Gennes Hamiltonian can be in general reduced to particle-number-conserving (single-particle) ones. Building upon this observation, the sublattice symmetry is uncovered with respect to an excitation energy, which is usually hidden in the bosonic Bogoliubov-de Gennes Hamiltonian. Thus, we obtain an additional topological class, i.e., class AIII, which enriches the framework for the topological threefold way of free-boson systems. Moreover, a construction is proposed to show a category of systems respecting such a symmetry. For illustration, we resort to a one-dimensional (1D) prototypical model to demonstrate the topological excitation characterized by a winding number or symplectic polarization. By introducing the correlation function, we present an approach to measure the topological invariant. Backdoor attacks covertly implant triggers into deep neural networks (DNNs) by poisoning a small portion of the training data with pre-designed backdoor triggers. This vulnerability is exacerbated in the era of large models, where extensive (pre-)training on web-crawled datasets is susceptible to compromise. In this paper, we introduce a novel two-step defense framework named Expose Before You Defend (EBYD). EBYD unifies existing backdoor defense methods into a comprehensive defense system with enhanced performance. Specifically, EBYD first exposes the backdoor functionality in the backdoored model through a model preprocessing step called backdoor exposure, and then applies detection and removal methods to the exposed model to identify and eliminate the backdoor features. In the first step of backdoor exposure, we propose a novel technique called Clean Unlearning (CUL), which proactively unlearns clean features from the backdoored model to reveal the hidden backdoor features. We also explore various model editing/modification techniques for backdoor exposure, including fine-tuning, model sparsification, and weight perturbation. Using EBYD, we conduct extensive experiments on 10 image attacks and 6 text attacks across 2 vision datasets (CIFAR-10 and an ImageNet subset) and 4 language datasets (SST-2, IMDB, Twitter, and AG's News). The results demonstrate the importance of backdoor exposure for backdoor defense, showing that the exposed models can significantly benefit a range of downstream defense tasks, including backdoor label detection, backdoor trigger recovery, backdoor model detection, and backdoor removal. Depth completion, inferring dense depth maps from sparse measurements, is crucial for robust 3D perception. Although deep learning based methods have made tremendous progress in this problem, these models cannot generalize well across different scenes that are unobserved in training, posing a fundamental limitation that yet to be overcome. A careful analysis of existing deep neural network architectures for depth completion, which are largely borrowing from successful backbones for image analysis tasks, reveals that a key design bottleneck actually resides in the conventional normalization layers. These normalization layers are designed, on one hand, to make training more stable, on the other hand, to build more visual invariance across scene scales. However, in depth completion, the scale is actually what we want to robustly estimate in order to better generalize to unseen scenes. To mitigate, we propose a novel scale propagation normalization (SP-Norm) method to propagate scales from input to output, and simultaneously preserve the normalization operator for easy convergence. More specifically, we rescale the input using learned features of a single-layer perceptron from the normalized input, rather than directly normalizing the input as conventional normalization layers. We then develop a new network architecture based on SP-Norm and the ConvNeXt V2 backbone. We explore the composition of various basic blocks and architectures to achieve superior performance and efficient inference for generalizable depth completion. Extensive experiments are conducted on six unseen datasets with various types of sparse depth maps, i.e., randomly sampled 0.1\%/1\%/10\% valid pixels, 4/8/16/32/64-line LiDAR points, and holes from Structured-Light. Green hydrogen has the potential to address two pressing problems in a zero-carbon energy system: balancing seasonal variability of solar and wind in the electricity sector, and replacing fossil fuels in hard-to-abate sectors. However, the previous research only separately modeled the electricity and hard-to-abate sectors, which is unable to capture how the interaction between the two sectors influences the energy system cost. In this study, focusing on China, we deploy an electricity system planning model to examine the cost implications of green hydrogen to fully decarbonize the electricity system and hard-to-abate sectors. Our results reveal that green hydrogen enables a 17% reduction in the levelized cost of a zero-carbon electricity system relative to that without hydrogen. However, cost savings hinge on the availability of underground hydrogen storage capacities and electric transmission expansion. More importantly, coupling hydrogen infrastructure in the electricity and hard-to-abate sectors not only reduces energy costs compared to a decoupled energy system but also makes green hydrogen cost-competitive compared to fossil fuel-based gray and blue hydrogen in China., Comment: 4 figures, 33 pages

Existing Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) struggle with mathematical geometric reasoning due to a lack of high-quality image-text paired data. Current geometric data generation approaches, which apply preset templates to generate geometric data or use Large Language Models (LLMs) to rephrase questions and answers (Q&A), unavoidably limit data accuracy and diversity. To synthesize higher-quality data, we propose a two-stage Reverse Chain-of-Thought (R-CoT) geometry problem generation pipeline. First, we introduce GeoChain to produce high-fidelity geometric images and corresponding descriptions highlighting relations among geometric elements. We then design a Reverse A&Q method that reasons step-by-step based on the descriptions and generates questions in reverse from the reasoning results. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed method brings significant and consistent improvements on multiple LMM baselines, achieving new performance records in the 2B, 7B, and 8B settings. Notably, R-CoT-8B significantly outperforms previous state-of-the-art open-source mathematical models by 16.6% on MathVista and 9.2% on GeoQA, while also surpassing the closed-source model GPT-4o by an average of 13% across both datasets. Automatic polyp segmentation is helpful to assist clinical diagnosis and treatment. In daily clinical practice, clinicians exhibit robustness in identifying polyps with both location and size variations. It is uncertain if deep segmentation models can achieve comparable robustness in automated colonoscopic analysis. To benchmark the model robustness, we focus on evaluating the robustness of segmentation models on the polyps with various attributes (e.g. location and size) and healthy samples. Based on the Latent Diffusion Model, we perform attribute editing on real polyps and build a new dataset named Polyp-E. Our synthetic dataset boasts exceptional realism, to the extent that clinical experts find it challenging to discern them from real data. We evaluate several existing polyp segmentation models on the proposed benchmark. The results reveal most of the models are highly sensitive to attribute variations. As a novel data augmentation technique, the proposed editing pipeline can improve both in-distribution and out-of-distribution generalization ability. The code and datasets will be released.

Zero-Shot Composed Image Retrieval (ZS-CIR) supports diverse tasks with a broad range of visual content manipulation intentions that can be related to domain, scene, object, and attribute. A key challenge for ZS-CIR is to accurately map image representation to a pseudo-word token that captures the manipulation intention relevant image information for generalized CIR. However, existing methods between the retrieval and pre-training stages lead to significant redundancy in the pseudo-word tokens. In this paper, we propose a novel denoising image-to-word mapping approach, named Denoise-I2W, for mapping images into denoising pseudo-word tokens that, without intention-irrelevant visual information, enhance accurate ZS-CIR. Specifically, a pseudo triplet construction module first automatically constructs pseudo triples (\textit{i.e.,} a pseudo-reference image, a pseudo-manipulation text, and a target image) for pre-training the denoising mapping network. Then, a pseudo-composed mapping module maps the pseudo-reference image to a pseudo-word token and combines it with the pseudo-manipulation text with manipulation intention. This combination aligns with the target image, facilitating denoising intention-irrelevant visual information for mapping. Our proposed Denoise-I2W is a model-agnostic and annotation-free approach. It demonstrates strong generalization capabilities across three state-of-the-art ZS-CIR models on four benchmark datasets. By integrating Denoise-I2W with existing best models, we obtain consistent and significant performance boosts ranging from 1.45\% to 4.17\% over the best methods without increasing inference costs. and achieve new state-of-the-art results on ZS-CIR. We present the first application of color-kinematics (CK) duality at the three-loop level in non-supersymmetric pure Yang-Mills (YM) theory. Building on the minimal deformation approach introduced in \cite{Li:2023akg}, we extend its use to the three-loop Sudakov form factor. Although three classes of unitarity cuts fail under the globally off-shell CK-dual ansatz, a compact and elegant solution is achieved by deforming a single master numerator. The final numerators exhibit Lorentz invariance in $d$ dimensions and take a local form. This method harnesses CK duality's full potential by enforcing a subset of off-shell dual Jacobi identities for the deformation, offering a promising path toward constructing three-loop amplitudes in non-supersymmetric YM theory and gravity through CK duality and double copy., Comment: 30 pages, 23 figures

The integration of ferroelectrics with semiconductors is crucial for developing functional devices, such as field-effect transistors, tunnel junctions, and nonvolatile memories. However, the synthesis of high-quality single-crystalline ferroelectric nitride perovskites has been limited, hindering a comprehensive understanding of their switching dynamics and potential applications. Here we report the synthesis and characterizations of epitaxial single-phase ferroelectric cerium tantalum nitride (CeTaN3) on both oxides and semiconductors. The polar symmetry of CeTaN3 was confirmed by observing the atomic displacement of central ions relative to the center of the TaN6 octahedra, as well as through optical second harmonic generation. We observed switchable ferroelectric domains in CeTaN3 films using piezo-response force microscopy, complemented by the characterization of square-like polarization-electric field hysteresis loops. The remanent polarization of CeTaN3 reaches approximately 20 uC/cm2 at room temperature, consistent with theoretical calculations. This work establishes a vital link between ferroelectric nitride perovskites and their practical applications, paving the way for next-generation information and energy-storage devices with enhanced performance, scalability, and manufacturability., Comment: 47 pages, 4 figures

The possible existence of nucleon-antinucleon bound states has been studied for decades. We investigate the $e^+e^-\to p\bar{p}$ and $e^+e^-\to n\bar{n}$ cross sections in the nonrelativistic effective field theory framework. The proton-antiproton and neutron-antineutron coupled-channel final state interactions are considered and found responsible for near-threshold enhancements. Both the proton-neutron mass difference and the Coulomb interaction between $p$ and $\bar{p}$ are considered, and the $N\bar{N}$ strong interactions are taken into account through a short-distance optical potential. By fitting the low energy constants in the amplitudes to the data for the near-threshold $e^+e^-\to N\bar{N}$ cross sections from the BESIII and SND Collaborations, a $N\bar{N}$ quasi-bound state is found just above the $p\bar{p}$ threshold, and another $N\bar{N}$ pole is found on the unphysical Riemann sheet, farther away from the threshold. Cooperative path planning, a crucial aspect of multi-agent systems research, serves a variety of sectors, including military, agriculture, and industry. Many existing algorithms, however, come with certain limitations, such as simplified kinematic models and inadequate support for multiple group scenarios. Focusing on the planning problem associated with a nonholonomic Ackermann model for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV), we propose a leaderless, hierarchical Search-Based Cooperative Motion Planning (SCMP) method. The high-level utilizes a binary conflict search tree to minimize runtime, while the low-level fabricates kinematically feasible, collision-free paths that are shape-constrained. Our algorithm can adapt to scenarios featuring multiple groups with different shapes, outlier agents, and elaborate obstacles. We conduct algorithm comparisons, performance testing, simulation, and real-world testing, verifying the effectiveness and applicability of our algorithm. Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs), renowned for their low power consumption, brain-inspired architecture, and spatio-temporal representation capabilities, have garnered considerable attention in recent years. Similar to Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), high-quality benchmark datasets are of great importance to the advances of SNNs. However, our analysis indicates that many prevalent neuromorphic datasets lack strong temporal correlation, preventing SNNs from fully exploiting their spatio-temporal representation capabilities. Meanwhile, the integration of event and frame modalities offers more comprehensive visual spatio-temporal information. Yet, the SNN-based cross-modality fusion remains underexplored. In this work, we present a neuromorphic dataset called DVS-SLR that can better exploit the inherent spatio-temporal properties of SNNs. Compared to existing datasets, it offers advantages in terms of higher temporal correlation, larger scale, and more varied scenarios. In addition, our neuromorphic dataset contains corresponding frame data, which can be used for developing SNN-based fusion methods. By virtue of the dual-modal feature of the dataset, we propose a Cross-Modality Attention (CMA) based fusion method. The CMA model efficiently utilizes the unique advantages of each modality, allowing for SNNs to learn both temporal and spatial attention scores from the spatio-temporal features of event and frame modalities, subsequently allocating these scores across modalities to enhance their synergy. Experimental results demonstrate that our method not only improves recognition accuracy but also ensures robustness across diverse scenarios.

The expansion of large language models to effectively handle instructions with extremely long contexts has yet to be fully investigated. The primary obstacle lies in constructing a high-quality long instruction-following dataset devised for long context alignment. Existing studies have attempted to scale up the available data volume by synthesizing long instruction-following samples. However, indiscriminately increasing the quantity of data without a well-defined strategy for ensuring data quality may introduce low-quality samples and restrict the final performance. To bridge this gap, we aim to address the unique challenge of long-context alignment, i.e., modeling the long-range dependencies for handling instructions and lengthy input contexts. We propose GATEAU, a novel framework designed to identify the influential and high-quality samples enriched with long-range dependency relations by utilizing crafted Homologous Models' Guidance (HMG) and Contextual Awareness Measurement (CAM). Specifically, HMG attempts to measure the difficulty of generating corresponding responses due to the long-range dependencies, using the perplexity scores of the response from two homologous models with different context windows. Also, the role of CAM is to measure the difficulty of understanding the long input contexts due to long-range dependencies by evaluating whether the model's attention is focused on important segments. Built upon both proposed methods, we select the most challenging samples as the influential data to effectively frame the long-range dependencies, thereby achieving better performance of LLMs. Comprehensive experiments indicate that GATEAU effectively identifies samples enriched with long-range dependency relations and the model trained on these selected samples exhibits better instruction-following and long-context understanding capabilities.

Existing large pre-trained models typically map text input to text output in an end-to-end manner, such as ChatGPT, or map a segment of text input to a hierarchy of action decisions, such as OpenVLA. However, humans can simultaneously generate text and actions when receiving specific input signals. For example, a driver can make precise driving decisions while conversing with a friend in the passenger seat. Motivated by this observation, we consider the following question in this work: is it possible to construct a pre-trained model that can provide both language interaction and precise decision-making capabilities in dynamic open scenarios. We provide a definitive answer to this question by developing a new model architecture termed Visual Language Action model for Chatting and Decision Making (VLA4CD), and further demonstrating its performance in challenging autonomous driving tasks. Specifically, we leverage LoRA to fine-tune a pre-trained LLM with data of multiple modalities covering language, visual, and action. Unlike the existing LoRA operations used for LLM fine-tuning, we have designed new computational modules and training cost functions for VLA4CD. These designs enable VLA4CD to provide continuous-valued action decisions while outputting text responses. In contrast, existing LLMs can only output text responses, and current VLA models can only output action decisions. Moreover, these VLA models handle action data by discretizing and then tokenizing the discretized actions, a method unsuitable for complex decision-making tasks involving high-dimensional continuous-valued action vectors, such as autonomous driving. The experimental results on CARLA validate that: (1) our proposed model construction method is effective; (2) compared to the SOTA VLA model, VLA4CD can provide more accurate real-time decision-making while retaining the text interaction capability inherent to LLMs.

In this paper, we present a detailed analysis of the IRS 17 filament within the intermediate-mass protocluster IRAS 08448-4343 (of $\sim\,10^3\,\rm L_{\odot}$), using ALMA data from the ATOMS 3-mm and QUARKS 1.3-mm surveys. The IRS 17 filament, which spans $\sim$54000 au ($0.26\,\rm pc$) in length and $\sim$4000 au ($0.02\,\rm pc$) in width, exhibits a complex, multi-component velocity field, and harbours hierarchical substructures. These substructures include three bundles of seven velocity-coherent fibers, and 29 dense ($n\sim 10^8\,\rm cm^{-3}$) condensations. The fibers have a median length of $\sim 4500\,\rm au$ and a median width of $\sim 1400\,\rm au$. Among these fibers, four are identified as ``fertile", each hosting at least three dense condensations, which are regarded as the ``seeds" of star formation. While the detected cores are randomly spaced within the IRS\,17 filament based on the 3-mm dust continuum image, periodic spacing ($\sim1600\,\rm au$) of condensations is observed in the fertile fibers according to the 1.3-mm dust map, consistent with the predictions of linear isothermal cylinder fragmentation models. These findings underscore the crucial role of fibers in star formation and suggest a hierarchical fragmentation process that extends from the filament to the fibers, and ultimately, to the smallest-scale condensations., Comment: 19 pages, 10 figures, 4 tables, accepted by ApJ

Image restoration (IR) refers to the process of improving visual quality of images while removing degradation, such as noise, blur, weather effects, and so on. Traditional IR methods typically target specific types of degradation, which limits their effectiveness in real-world scenarios with complex distortions. In response to this challenge, the all-in-one image restoration (AiOIR) paradigm has emerged, offering a unified framework that adeptly addresses multiple degradation types. These innovative models enhance both convenience and versatility by adaptively learning degradation-specific features while simultaneously leveraging shared knowledge across diverse corruptions. In this review, we delve into the AiOIR methodologies, emphasizing their architecture innovations and learning paradigm and offering a systematic review of prevalent approaches. We systematically categorize prevalent approaches and critically assess the challenges these models encounter, proposing future research directions to advance this dynamic field. Our paper begins with an introduction to the foundational concepts of AiOIR models, followed by a categorization of cutting-edge designs based on factors such as prior knowledge and generalization capability. Next, we highlight key advancements in AiOIR, aiming to inspire further inquiry and innovation within the community. To facilitate a robust evaluation of existing methods, we collate and summarize commonly used datasets, implementation details, and evaluation metrics. Additionally, we present an objective comparison of open-sourced methods, providing valuable insights for researchers and practitioners alike. We focus on improving the visual understanding capability for boosting the vision-language models. We propose \textbf{Arcana}, a multiModal language model, which introduces two crucial techniques. First, we present Multimodal LoRA (MM-LoRA), a module designed to enhance the decoder. Unlike traditional language-driven decoders, MM-LoRA consists of two parallel LoRAs -- one for vision and one for language -- each with its own parameters. This disentangled parameters design allows for more specialized learning in each modality and better integration of multimodal information. Second, we introduce the Query Ladder adapter (QLadder) to improve the visual encoder. QLadder employs a learnable ``\textit{ladder}'' structure to deeply aggregates the intermediate representations from the frozen pretrained visual encoder (e.g., CLIP image encoder). This enables the model to learn new and informative visual features, as well as remaining the powerful capabilities of the pretrained visual encoder. These techniques collectively enhance Arcana's visual perception power, enabling it to leverage improved visual information for more accurate and contextually relevant outputs across various multimodal scenarios. Extensive experiments and ablation studies demonstrate the effectiveness and generalization capability of our Arcana. In an extension of MSSM with two triplets and a singlet, called the TNMSSM, there are seven neutralinos which can enrich the study of cold dark matter if one expects that the weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) is responsible for the observation of Planck satellite. Such a model, compared to the MSSM, can naturally offer a solution to the $\mu$ problem, and its lightest neutralino, which is bino-like, can also provide a correct relic density by using the coannihilation mechanism due to the newly added triplinos. Taking into account the related experimental measurements, such as the bound on the SM-like Higgs mass, the $B$ meson rare decays, the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon $a_\mu$, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) measurements and the latest dark matter direct detection experiment LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ), the TNMSSM parameter space can be strictly limited. In respect to all the constraints mentioned above, we find that a bino-like neutralino with a mass in the region $[100, 450]~\rm{GeV}$ can successfully account for the correct dark matter relic density. Additionally, most of the viable parameter space can be tested in the near future experiments such as the Xenon-nT experiment or LHC.

The coexistence of high-temperature intrinsic ferromagnetic ordering, large magnetic anisotropy, along with novel mechanical properties such as ferroelasticity and flexibility, in experimental feasible two-dimensional (2D) crystals is greatly appealing for nanoscale spintronics. However, the progress in identifying such materials is limited. Here, by first-principles calculations, we report the findings of an extraordinary combination of the above qualities for the first time in a new 2D exfoliated FeSi nanosheet in the P4/nmm space group. Due to the strong anion-mediated superexchange interaction, the monolayer FeSi (ML-FeSi) exhibits a Curie temperature Tc as high as 830 K, surpassing the current experimental record (344 K for ML-Cr3Te4). Furthermore, including FeSi, such isostructural lattices all demonstrate exceptional softness, as evidenced by their ultra-low in-plane stiffness. Remarkably, the transition metal atom and square-shaped crystal form work together to give this family of ML materials unique properties that can transition from Ising-like 2D ferromagnets in FeSi, MnP, MnAs, CrP, FeI, and VAs to 2D-XY ones in CrAs, VP, and multiferroic MnGe and TiTe. We conducted a theoretical study on the process $\Sigma^{+} p \to\Lambda a_0^{+} p$ based on an effective Lagrangian approach. This model encompasses the excitation of intermediate states leading to the production of $\Delta(1920)$ through $\pi^{+}$ and $K^{+}$ meson exchanges between the initial $\Sigma^{+}$ baryon and the initial proton $p$, as well as the generation of $\Delta(1940)$ via $\pi^{+}$ and $\rho^{+}$ meson exchanges. We provide predictions for the total and differential cross sections and discuss the potential impacts of cutoff parameters, off-shell effects, and branching ratios on the $\Delta^{\ast} \to a_0 p$ decay. Given the dominance of $\Delta(1940)$ in the region close to the reaction threshold, this reaction is considered an ideal platform for deeply exploring the unique properties of the $\Delta(1940)$ resonance. The ability to promptly respond to environmental changes is crucial for the perception system of autonomous driving. Recently, a new task called streaming perception was proposed. It jointly evaluate the latency and accuracy into a single metric for video online perception. In this work, we introduce StreamDSGN, the first real-time stereo-based 3D object detection framework designed for streaming perception. StreamDSGN is an end-to-end framework that directly predicts the 3D properties of objects in the next moment by leveraging historical information, thereby alleviating the accuracy degradation of streaming perception. Further, StreamDSGN applies three strategies to enhance the perception accuracy: (1) A feature-flow-based fusion method, which generates a pseudo-next feature at the current moment to address the misalignment issue between feature and ground truth. (2) An extra regression loss for explicit supervision of object motion consistency in consecutive frames. (3) A large kernel backbone with a large receptive field for effectively capturing long-range spatial contextual features caused by changes in object positions. Experiments on the KITTI Tracking dataset show that, compared with the strong baseline, StreamDSGN significantly improves the streaming average precision by up to 4.33%. Based on the high resolution and high signal-to-noise spectra, we derived the chemical abundances of 20 elements for 20 barium (Ba-) stars. For the first time, the detailed abundances of four sample stars, namely HD 92482, HD 150430, HD 151101 and HD 177304 have been analyzed. Additionally, Ba element abundance has been measured using high resolution spectra for the first time in six of the other 16 sample stars. Based on the [s/Fe] ratios, the Ba-unknown star HD 115927 can be classified as a strong Ba-star, while the Ba-likely star HD 160538 can be categorized into a mild Ba-star. Consequently, our sample comprises three strong and 17 mild Ba-stars. The light odd-Z metal elements and Fe-peak elements exhibit near-solar abundances. The [{\alpha}/Fe] ratios demonstrate decreasing trends with increasing metallicity. Moreover, the abundances of n-capture elements show significant enhancements in different degrees. Using a threshold of the signed distances to the solar r-process abundance pattern ds = 0.6, we find that all of our sample stars are normal Ba-stars, indicating that the enhancements of s-process elements should be attributed to material transfer from their companions. We compare the observed n-capture patterns of sample stars with the FRUITY models, and estimate the mass of the Thermally-Pulsing Asymptotic Giant Branch stars that previously contaminated the Ba-stars. The models with low masses can successfully explain the observations. With the rapid advancement of machine learning techniques, their application in developing turbulence models has become increasingly prevalent. Numerous machine learning turbulence models have recently been founded on Pope's general eddy-effective hypothesis. However, most of these models directly predict the non-dimensional Reynolds deviatoric tensor, treating tensor basis coefficients as intermediate variables. This approach presents three primary drawbacks. Firstly, it conflates the training error of the machine learning regression algorithm with the modeling error inherent in Pope's general eddy-effective hypothesis. Secondly, by treating tensor basis coefficients as intermediary values, researchers often overlook their significance and physical interpretation, particularly in black-box models such as neural networks. Thirdly, this method introduces numerical interdependence among tensor basis coefficients, violating the orthogonality of the tensor basis. Yin et al. (2022) proposed a neural network-based turbulence model that utilizes tensor basis coefficients as prediction labels. However, their framework employs a regularization method with numerous hyperparameters to achieve convergence and smooth results by leveraging information from the linear-eddy viscosity hypothesis. In this study, we introduce a novel approach to enhance the accuracy and realizability of machine learning turbulence models by predicting tensor basis normalized coefficients. This method's fundamental principle is the normalization and bounding of prediction labels for machine learning algorithms. Utilizing periodic hills direct numerical simulation (DNS) data for training and testing, we demonstrate that our innovative method improves accuracy and realizability in neural network-based and symbolic regression-based turbulence models.

Identifying anomalies from time series data plays an important role in various fields such as infrastructure security, intelligent operation and maintenance, and space exploration. Current research focuses on detecting the anomalies after they occur, which can lead to significant financial/reputation loss or infrastructure damage. In this work we instead study a more practical yet very challenging problem, time series anomaly prediction, aiming at providing early warnings for abnormal events before their occurrence. To tackle this problem, we introduce a novel principled approach, namely future context modeling (FCM). Its key insight is that the future abnormal events in a target window can be accurately predicted if their preceding observation window exhibits any subtle difference to normal data. To effectively capture such differences, FCM first leverages long-term forecasting models to generate a discriminative future context based on the observation data, aiming to amplify those subtle but unusual difference. It then models a normality correlation of the observation data with the forecasting future context to complement the normality modeling of the observation data in foreseeing possible abnormality in the target window. A joint variate-time attention learning is also introduced in FCM to leverage both temporal signals and features of the time series data for more discriminative normality modeling in the aforementioned two views. Comprehensive experiments on five datasets demonstrate that FCM gains good recall rate (70\%+) on multiple datasets and significantly outperforms all baselines in F1 score. We present a method to compute real-time path integrals numerically, by Monte-Carlo sampling on near-Lefschetz thimbles. We present a collection of new tools, which together provide an alternative to existing methods such as the Generalised thimble. These involve a convenient coordinate parameterization of the thimble, direct numerical integration along a radial coordinate into an effective path integral weight and locally deforming the Lefschetz thimble using its Gaussian (non-interacting theory) counterpart in a region about the critical point. Realizing large-scale quantum networks requires the generation of high-fidelity quantum entanglement states between remote quantum nodes, a key resource for quantum communication, distributed computation and sensing applications. However, entanglement distribution between quantum network nodes is hindered by optical transmission loss and local operation errors. Here, we propose a novel quantum repeater architecture that synergistically integrates Rydberg atom quantum processors with optical cavities to overcome these challenges. Our scheme leverages cavity-mediated interactions for efficient remote entanglement generation, followed by Rydberg interaction-based entanglement purification and swapping. Numerical simulations, incorporating realistic experimental parameters, demonstrate the generation of Bell states with 99\% fidelity at rates of 1.1\,kHz between two nodes in local-area network (distance $0.1\,\mathrm{km}$), and can be extend to metropolitan-area ($25\,\mathrm{km}$) or intercity ($\mathrm{250\,\mathrm{km}}$, with the assitance of frequency converters) network with a rate of 0.1\,kHz. The integration of uncertainty sets has diverse applications but also presents challenges, particularly when only initial sets and their control levels are available, along with potential dependencies. Examples include merging confidence sets from different distributed sites with communication constraints, as well as combining conformal prediction sets generated by different learning algorithms or data splits. In this article, we introduce an efficient and flexible Synthetic, Aggregation, and Test inversion (SAT) approach to merge various potentially dependent uncertainty sets into a single set. The proposed method constructs a novel class of synthetic test statistics, aggregates them, and then derives merged sets through test inversion. Our approach leverages the duality between set estimation and hypothesis testing, ensuring reliable coverage in dependent scenarios. The procedure is data-light, meaning it relies solely on initial sets and control levels without requiring raw data, and it adapts to any user-specified initial uncertainty sets, accommodating potentially varying coverage levels. Theoretical analyses and numerical experiments confirm that SAT provides finite-sample coverage guarantees and achieves small set sizes.

We investigate the possibility of observable neutrinoless double beta decay $( 0 \nu \beta\beta)$ and viable leptogenesis within a low-scale extended inverse seesaw mechanism with additional sterile neutrinos. General effective field theory (EFT) considerations suggest that if there are experimentally observable signatures in $0 \nu \beta \beta$-decay and a lepton asymmetry generated by heavy right-handed neutrino decays, thermal leptogenesis is likely to be unviable. However, in this work, we show that in the context of low-scale leptogenesis, one can obtain the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe and observable signatures of $0 \nu \beta \beta$ decay in the presence of additional sterile neutrinos. In this framework, the light neutrino masses are suppressed by the extended seesaw parameter, $\mu$, thereby allowing for $\mathcal{O}(10\, \mathrm{TeV})$ right-handed (RH) neutrinos, while avoiding small Yukawa couplings as in other neutrino mass models and near degeneracies in the RH neutrino spectrum as required by the low-scale leptogenesis paradigm. Contributions to the $0 \nu \beta \beta$-decay rate from additional sterile neutrinos can be appreciable, while the corresponding contributions to the early universe lepton asymmetry washout rate are suppressed by other parameters not entering the $0 \nu \beta \beta$-decay amplitudes. We show that for keV-MeV scale, sterile neutrinos future ton-scale $0\nu\beta\beta$-decay experiments offer potential signals while maintaining viable leptogenesis., Comment: 11 + 3 pages; 12 figures

We perform a theoretical study on the spectrum of the low-lying hidden-bottom ($q\bar{q}b\bar{b}$ with $q=$ $u$, $d$ and $s$) and double-bottom ($q\bar{q}bb$) tetraquark states within a nonrelativistic quark model, in which the instanton-induced interaction is taken as the residual spin-dependent hyperfine interaction between quarks. All the model parameters are fixed by fitting the spectrum of the ground hadron states. The numerical results indicate that masses of several $X_{q\bar{q}}$, $Z_{b}$, and $Z_{bs}$ tetraquark states are below and near thresholds of corresponding meson-meson channels, thus these states may form components of exotic meson states with reasonable probabilities. Especially, in present model, masses of several obtained states with quantum number $I^G(J^P)=1^+(1^{+})$ are close to $Z_b^\pm(10610)$, so one may expect these states to be non-negligible components of the experimentally observed $Z_{b}$ states. Concerning to the double-bottom tetraquark states, the present results are in general consistent with other previous works. Two possible stable $T_{bb}$ states with quark content $bb\bar{n}\bar{n}$ ($n=u$ or $d$ quark) lying at energies $10558$ MeV and $10650$ MeV are found, and one possible stable $bb\bar{n}\bar{s}$ state is found, whose energy is $\sim10687$ MeV., Comment: 15 pages, 7 figures, 12 tables

The automatic assembly problem has attracted increasing interest due to its complex challenges that involve 3D representation. This paper introduces Jigsaw++, a novel generative method designed to tackle the multifaceted challenges of reconstruction for the reassembly problem. Existing approach focusing primarily on piecewise information for both part and fracture assembly, often overlooking the integration of complete object prior. Jigsaw++ distinguishes itself by learning a category-agnostic shape prior of complete objects. It employs the proposed "retargeting" strategy that effectively leverages the output of any existing assembly method to generate complete shape reconstructions. This capability allows it to function orthogonally to the current methods. Through extensive evaluations on Breaking Bad dataset and PartNet, Jigsaw++ has demonstrated its effectiveness, reducing reconstruction errors and enhancing the precision of shape reconstruction, which sets a new direction for future reassembly model developments., Comment: 21 pages, 10 figures

We propose how to generate the entanglement of two long-lived phonon modes in a circuit quantum acoustodynamics system, which consists of a multi-mode high-frequency bulk acoustic wave resonator and a transmon-type superconducting qubit. Two acoustic modes couple to the qubit through piezoelectric interaction, and the qubit is driven by a microwave field. Under the condition of far detuning between the qubit and acoustic modes, the qubit can be eliminated adiabatically, and thus establishing the indirect interaction between the two acoustic modes. We demonstrate that such the indirect interaction can be the parametric-amplification-type interaction by appropriately choosing the drive frequency and strength, so the entanglement between acoustic modes can be created by the direct unitary evolution. We numerically analyze the parameter conditions for generating the entanglement in detail and evaluate the influence of system dissipations and noise. The results show that the scheme can be realized using currently available parameters and has strong robustness against the dissipations and environmental temperature. Humor is a culturally nuanced aspect of human language that presents challenges for understanding and generation, requiring participants to possess good creativity and strong associative thinking. Similar to reasoning tasks like solving math problems, humor generation requires continuous reflection and revision to foster creative thinking, rather than relying on a sudden flash of inspiration like Creative Leap-of-Thought (CLoT) paradigm. Although CLoT can realize the ability of remote association generation, this paradigm fails to generate humor content. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a systematic way of thinking about generating humor and based on it, we built Creative Leap of Structured Thought (CLoST) frame. First, a reward model is necessary achieve the purpose of being able to correct errors, since there is currently no expert model of humor and a usable rule to determine whether a piece of content is humorous. Judgement-oriented instructions are designed to improve the capability of a model, and we also propose an open-domain instruction evolutionary method to fully unleash the potential. Then, through reinforcement learning, the model learns to hone its rationales of the thought chain and refine the strategies it uses. Thus, it learns to recognize and correct its mistakes, and finally generate the most humorous and creative answer. These findings deepen our understanding of the creative capabilities of LLMs and provide ways to enhance LLMs' creative abilities for cross-domain innovative applications.

The Stellar Abundances and Galactic Evolution Survey (SAGES) is a multi-band survey that covers the northern sky area of ~12000 deg2. Nanshan One-meter Wide-field Telescope (NOWT) of Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory (XAO) carried out observations on g/r/i bands. We present here the survey strategy, data processing, catalog construction, and database schema. The observations of NOWT started in 2016 August and was completed in 2018 January, total 17827 frames were obtained and ~4600 deg2 sky areas were covered. In this paper, we released the catalog of the data in the g/r/i bands observed with NOWT. In total, there are 109,197,578 items of the source records. The catalog is the supplement for the SDSS for the bright end, and the combination of our catalog and these catalogs could be helpful for source selections for other surveys and the Milky Way sciences, e.g., white dwarf candidates and stellar flares., Comment: 12 pages, 8 figures, accepted for publication in RAA

Recurrent stochastic configuration networks (RSCNs) are a class of randomized learner models that have shown promise in modelling nonlinear dynamics. In many fields, however, the data generated by industry systems often exhibits nonstationary characteristics, leading to the built model performing well on the training data but struggling with the newly arriving data. This paper aims at developing a self-organizing version of RSCNs, termed as SORSCNs, to enhance the continuous learning ability of the network for modelling nonstationary data. SORSCNs can autonomously adjust the network parameters and reservoir structure according to the data streams acquired in real-time. The output weights are updated online using the projection algorithm, while the network structure is dynamically adjusted in the light of the recurrent stochastic configuration algorithm and an improved sensitivity analysis. Comprehensive comparisons among the echo state network (ESN), online self-learning stochastic configuration network (OSL-SCN), self-organizing modular ESN (SOMESN), RSCN, and SORSCN are carried out. Experimental results clearly demonstrate that the proposed SORSCNs outperform other models with sound generalization, indicating great potential in modelling nonlinear systems with nonstationary dynamics.

Image segmentation is a crucial vision task that groups pixels within an image into semantically meaningful segments, which is pivotal in obtaining a fine-grained understanding of real-world scenes. However, an increasing privacy concern exists regarding training large-scale image segmentation models on unauthorized private data. In this work, we exploit the concept of unlearnable examples to make images unusable to model training by generating and adding unlearnable noise into the original images. Particularly, we propose a novel Unlearnable Segmentation (UnSeg) framework to train a universal unlearnable noise generator that is capable of transforming any downstream images into their unlearnable version. The unlearnable noise generator is finetuned from the Segment Anything Model (SAM) via bilevel optimization on an interactive segmentation dataset towards minimizing the training error of a surrogate model that shares the same architecture with SAM but is trained from scratch. We empirically verify the effectiveness of UnSeg across 6 mainstream image segmentation tasks, 10 widely used datasets, and 7 different network architectures, and show that the unlearnable images can reduce the segmentation performance by a large margin. This paper proposes a safe reinforcement learning filter (SRLF) to realize multicopter collision-free trajectory tracking with input disturbance. A novel robust control barrier function (RCBF) with its analysis techniques is introduced to avoid collisions with unknown disturbances during tracking. To ensure the system state remains within the safe set, the RCBF gain is designed in control action. A safety filter is introduced to transform unsafe reinforcement learning (RL) control inputs into safe ones, allowing RL training to proceed without explicitly considering safety constraints. The SRLF obtains rigorous guaranteed safe control action by solving a quadratic programming (QP) problem that incorporates forward invariance of RCBF and input saturation constraints. Both simulation and real-world experiments on multicopters demonstrate the effectiveness and excellent performance of SRLF in achieving collision-free tracking under input disturbances and saturation.

This paper proposes a safety modulator actor-critic (SMAC) method to address safety constraint and overestimation mitigation in model-free safe reinforcement learning (RL). A safety modulator is developed to satisfy safety constraints by modulating actions, allowing the policy to ignore safety constraint and focus on maximizing reward. Additionally, a distributional critic with a theoretical update rule for SMAC is proposed to mitigate the overestimation of Q-values with safety constraints. Both simulation and real-world scenarios experiments on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) hovering confirm that the SMAC can effectively maintain safety constraints and outperform mainstream baseline algorithms.

While advancements in NLP have significantly improved the performance of Large Language Models (LLMs) on tasks requiring vertical thinking, their lateral thinking capabilities remain under-explored and challenging to measure due to the complexity of assessing creative thought processes and the scarcity of relevant data. To address these challenges, we introduce SPLAT, a benchmark leveraging Situation Puzzles to evaluate and elicit LAteral Thinking of LLMs. This benchmark, containing 975 graded situation puzzles across three difficulty levels, employs a new multi-turn player-judge framework instead of the traditional model-based evaluation, which often necessitates a stronger evaluation model. This framework simulates an interactive game where the model (player) asks the evaluation model (judge) questions about an incomplete story to infer the full scenario. The judge answers based on a detailed reference scenario or evaluates if the player's predictions align with the reference one. This approach lessens dependence on more robust evaluation models, enabling the assessment of state-of-the-art LLMs. The experiments demonstrate that a robust evaluation model, such as WizardLM-2, closely matches human judgements in both intermediate question-answering and final scenario accuracy, achieving over 80% agreement-similar to the agreement levels among humans. Furthermore, applying data and reasoning processes from our benchmark to other lateral thinking-related benchmarks, e.g., RiddleSense and BrainTeaser, leads to performance enhancements. Unlike images and natural language tokens, time series data is highly semantically sparse, resulting in labor-intensive label annotations. Unsupervised and Semi-supervised Domain Adaptation (UDA and SSDA) have demonstrated efficiency in addressing this issue by utilizing pre-labeled source data to train on unlabeled or partially labeled target data. However, in domain adaptation methods designed for downstream classification tasks, directly adapting labeled source samples with unlabelled target samples often results in similar distributions across various classes, thereby compromising the performance of the target classification task. To tackle this challenge, we proposed a Global-Local Alignment Domain Adaptation (GLA-DA) method for multivariate time series data. Data from two domains were initially encoded to align in an intermediate feature space adversarially, achieving Global Feature Alignment (GFA). Subsequently, GLA-DA leveraged the consistency between similarity-based and deep learning-based models to assign pseudo labels to unlabeled target data. This process aims to preserve differences among data with distinct labels by aligning the samples with the same class labels together, achieving Local Class Alignment (LCA). We implemented GLA-DA in both UDA and SSDA scenarios, showcasing its superiority over state-of-the-art methods through extensive experiments on various public datasets. Ablation experiments underscored the significance of key components within GLA-DA.

We report an experimental observation of room-temperature nonreciprocal reflection of mid-infrared light from planar highly doped InAs surfaces at low magnetic fields ranging from 0.07 T to 0.16 T. Using ellipsometry, we demonstrate that the amplitude ratio and phase shift of reflected light are nonreciprocal in the Voigt configuration. We also demonstrate using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy that the nonreciprocal reflectance contrast (the difference in reflectance in opposite directions) increases with the magnitude of the magnetic field for p-polarized light. The rapid development in the performance of large language models (LLMs) is accompanied by the escalation of model size, leading to the increasing cost of model training and inference. Previous research has discovered that certain layers in LLMs exhibit redundancy, and removing these layers brings only marginal loss in model performance. In this paper, we adopt the probing technique to explain the layer redundancy in LLMs and demonstrate that language models can be effectively pruned with probing classifiers. We propose chip-tuning, a simple and effective structured pruning framework specialized for classification problems. Chip-tuning attaches tiny probing classifiers named chips to different layers of LLMs, and trains chips with the backbone model frozen. After selecting a chip for classification, all layers subsequent to the attached layer could be removed with marginal performance loss. Experimental results on various LLMs and datasets demonstrate that chip-tuning significantly outperforms previous state-of-the-art baselines in both accuracy and pruning ratio, achieving a pruning ratio of up to 50%. We also find that chip-tuning could be applied on multimodal models, and could be combined with model finetuning, proving its excellent compatibility.

In this paper, we explore the properties of the Ellis-Jaffe Sum Rule (EJSR) in detail, employing the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC) approach to address its perturbative QCD contribution including next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order ($\rm N^{3}LO$) QCD corrections. Using the PMC, we attain a precise perturbative QCD approximate for the EJSR, without the conventional ambiguity associated with the renormalization scale. Given the presence of the $\alpha_s$ Landau pole near the asymptotic scale, we also utilize the low-energy $\alpha_s$ model based on the analytic perturbative theory (APT) to recalibrate the EJSR behavior in the infrared region. By combining the PMC approach with the low-energy APT model, we achieved theoretical predictions of EJSR that align well with the experiments. Using deep learning, we also fit the contribution of the quark spin to the nucleon spin $\Delta \Sigma$ and ultimately obtain $\Delta \Sigma \approx 0.23^{+0.02}_{-0.06}$, consistent with global fit results $\Delta \Sigma = 0.24\pm0.07$.

A key feature of the newly discovered altermagnet is that its spin degeneracy is lifted, although it has an antiferromagnetic order and zero net magnetization. In this work, we investigate a frustrated spin-1/2 $J_1$-$J_2$-$\delta$ Heisenberg model on the square lattice by the tensor network methodin combination with the linear spin-wave theory, with our focus on both the magnon excitations and longitudinal excitations.For a small $J_2$ and a finite range of $\delta$ we demonstrate that such a model hosts an altermagnetic ground state. Its magnon spectrum is split into two branches and the largest splitting occurs at $\left(\pm\pi/2, \pm\pi/2\right)$ in the Brillouin zone. The magnitudes of splitting in the two magnon modes are equal with respect to the case of $\delta=0$. Dynamical spin structure factors show that the low-energy peak in the longitudinal spectral weight around $(\pi/2, \pi/2)$ is also split, and thus the relative positions of the magnon modes and longitudinal modes in energy may change in the presence of a finite $\delta$. With the improvement in the quantity and quality of remote sensing images, content-based remote sensing object retrieval (CBRSOR) has become an increasingly important topic. However, existing CBRSOR methods neglect the utilization of global statistical information during both training and test stages, which leads to the overfitting of neural networks to simple sample pairs of samples during training and suboptimal metric performance. Inspired by the Neyman-Pearson theorem, we propose a generalized likelihood ratio test-based metric learning (GLRTML) approach, which can estimate the relative difficulty of sample pairs by incorporating global data distribution information during training and test phases. This guides the network to focus more on difficult samples during the training process, thereby encourages the network to learn more discriminative feature embeddings. In addition, GLRT is a more effective than traditional metric space due to the utilization of global data distribution information. Accurately estimating the distribution of embeddings is critical for GLRTML. However, in real-world applications, there is often a distribution shift between the training and target domains, which diminishes the effectiveness of directly using the distribution estimated on training data. To address this issue, we propose the clustering pseudo-labels-based fast parameter adaptation (CPLFPA) method. CPLFPA efficiently estimates the distribution of embeddings in the target domain by clustering target domain instances and re-estimating the distribution parameters for GLRTML. We reorganize datasets for CBRSOR tasks based on fine-grained ship remote sensing image slices (FGSRSI-23) and military aircraft recognition (MAR20) datasets. Extensive experiments on these datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed GLRTML and CPLFPA.

Autism spectrum disorder(ASD) is a pervasive developmental disorder that significantly impacts the daily functioning and social participation of individuals. Despite the abundance of research focused on supporting the clinical diagnosis of ASD, there is still a lack of systematic and comprehensive exploration in the field of methods based on Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly regarding the real-world clinical diagnostic scenarios based on Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). Therefore, we have proposed a framework called ADOS-Copilot, which strikes a balance between scoring and explanation and explored the factors that influence the performance of LLMs in this task. The experimental results indicate that our proposed framework is competitive with the diagnostic results of clinicians, with a minimum MAE of 0.4643, binary classification F1-score of 81.79\%, and ternary classification F1-score of 78.37\%. Furthermore, we have systematically elucidated the strengths and limitations of current LLMs in this task from the perspectives of ADOS-2, LLMs' capabilities, language, and model scale aiming to inspire and guide the future application of LLMs in a broader fields of mental health disorders. We hope for more research to be transferred into real clinical practice, opening a window of kindness to the world for eccentric children.

3D Gaussian Splatting is capable of reconstructing 3D scenes in minutes. Despite recent advances in improving surface reconstruction accuracy, the reconstructed results still exhibit bias and suffer from inefficiency in storage and training. This paper provides a different observation on the cause of the inefficiency and the reconstruction bias, which is attributed to the integration of the low-opacity parts (LOPs) of the generated Gaussians. We show that LOPs consist of Gaussians with overall low-opacity (LOGs) and the low-opacity tails (LOTs) of Gaussians. We propose Spiking GS to reduce such two types of LOPs by integrating spiking neurons into the Gaussian Splatting pipeline. Specifically, we introduce global and local full-precision integrate-and-fire spiking neurons to the opacity and representation function of flattened 3D Gaussians, respectively. Furthermore, we enhance the density control strategy with spiking neurons' thresholds and a new criterion on the scale of Gaussians. Our method can represent more accurate reconstructed surfaces at a lower cost. The supplementary material and code are available at https://github.com/zju-bmi-lab/SpikingGS.

Van der Waals layered chalcogenide-based flexible thermoelectric devices show great potential for applications in wearable electronics. However, materials that are both highly deformable and exhibit superior thermoelectric performance are extremely limited. There is an urgent need for methods that can efficiently predict both deformability and thermoelectric performance to enable high-throughput screening of these materials. In this study, over 1000 van der Waals layered chalcogenides were high-throughput screened from material databases, the deformability of which were predicted with our previously developed deformability factor. An accurate and efficient model based on machine learning methods were developed to predict the thermoelectric properties. Several candidate materials with both deformability and thermoelectric potential were successfully discovered. Among them, NbSe2Br2 was verified by first principles calculations, achieving ZTmax value of 1.35 at 1000K, which is currently the highest value among flexible inorganic thermoelectric materials. And the power factor value of 8.1 {\mu}Wcm-1K-2 at 300K also surpassed most organic and inorganic flexible thermoelectric materials. Its high deformability mainly attributed to the small slipping energy that allows interlayer slip and the small in-plane modulus that allows deformation before failure. The high ZTmax is mainly contributed by the extremely low thermal conductivity and the high Seebeck coefficient along the out-of-plane direction at high temperature. The high power factor at room temperature is mainly comes from the high conductivity in the in-plane direction. This study is expected to accelerate the development and application of flexible thermoelectric devices based on inorganic semiconductor materials.

The Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) is a large-scale particle accelerator designed to collide electrons and positrons at high energies. One of the primary goals of the CEPC is to achieve high-precision measurements of the properties of the Higgs boson, facilitated by the large number of Higgs bosons that can be produced with significantly low contamination. The measurements of Higgs boson branching fractions into $b\overline{b} /c\overline{c} /gg$ and $WW^{*} /ZZ^{*} $, where the $W$ or $Z$ bosons decay hadronically, are presented in the context of the CEPC experiment, assuming a scenario with 5600 fb$^{-1}$ of collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 240 GeV. In this study the Higgs bosons are produced in association with a $Z$ boson, with the $Z$ boson decaying into a pair of muons $(\mu^{+}\mu^{-})$, which have high efficiency and high resolution. In order to separate all decay channels simultaneously with high accuracy, the Particle Flow Network (PFN), a graph-based machine learning model, is considered. The precise classification provided by the PFN is employed in measuring the branching fractions using the migration matrix method, which accurately corrects for detector effects in each decay channel. The statistical uncertainty of the measured branching ratio is estimated to be 0.58% in $H\to b\overline{b}$ final state, and approximately 2%-10% in $H\to c\overline{c} /gg/WW^{*} /ZZ^{*} $ final states. While large language models (LLMs) have integrated images, adapting them to graphs remains challenging, limiting their applications in materials and drug design. This difficulty stems from the need for coherent autoregressive generation across texts and graphs. To address this, we introduce Llamole, the first multimodal LLM capable of interleaved text and graph generation, enabling molecular inverse design with retrosynthetic planning. Llamole integrates a base LLM with the Graph Diffusion Transformer and Graph Neural Networks for multi-conditional molecular generation and reaction inference within texts, while the LLM, with enhanced molecular understanding, flexibly controls activation among the different graph modules. Additionally, Llamole integrates A* search with LLM-based cost functions for efficient retrosynthetic planning. We create benchmarking datasets and conduct extensive experiments to evaluate Llamole against in-context learning and supervised fine-tuning.
