Mangrove ecosystems consist of tropical plants that have adapted to the salinity, tidal fluctuations, and loose soil condition. Identification of mangrove ecosystems can be carried out by direct survey methods or by utilizing remote sensing technology. This study aims to map the area, percent cover, and density of mangroves in Makassar City using Sentinel 2A Imagery. The method used is the NDVI transformation, followed by Unsupervised-ISODATA classification, ground check with the 10 x 10-meter plotting method, and hemispherical photography. The results showed that the existence of mangroves in Makassar City was still found in the Tallo and Biringkanaya districts, with 68.81 ha of mangrove ecosystem cover area in the range of 84.36 - 91.89% (dense category). Likewise, the vegetation index based on NDVI analysis ranged from 0.73 - 0.81 (dense category), and the species density was in the range of 2700 - 6400 trees/Ha (dense category). Sentinel-2A imagery transformed with NDVI can be used to track mangrove areas and their density. The wide distribution of mangrove ecosystems in Makassar is relatively small but has good conditions.

The research aimed to analyzing the proportion of the daily abundance of phytoplankton based on the change in time in the best incubation time period. The implementation of the research from November 2018 to January 2019 in the marine waters of Barrang Lompo Island. Water samples to identify the daily phytoplankton abundance were taken by filtering 100 liters of seawater using a plankton net. Water sampling was carried out at the observation time at 10:00; 11.00; 12.00; 13.00; 14.00 in the best incubation time period (10.00-14.00). Based on the results of the study, the change in the proportion of daily phytoplankton abundance did not differ significantly based on the change in time in the best incubation time period.

Sari A, Tuwo A, Saru A, Rani C. 2022. Diversity of fauna species in the mangrove ecosystem of Youtefa Bay Tourism Park, Papua, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 23: 4490-4500. Youtefa Bay Tourism Park is a mangrove ecosystem in Jayapura City, Papua, Indonesia with high importance for biodiversity conservation as well as providing livelihood for local communities. Yet, information regarding the biological diversity of the mangrove ecosystem is lacking. This information is important to assess the state of the mangrove and to support its sustainable management of this area. This research aimed to determine the faunistic diversity of Youtefa Bay Tourism Park. The research was conducted from August 2019 to February 2020 using line transect method with quadrant to record species and the number of individuals. The results showed that in the studied area there were six, five and 27 species of birds, reptiles and macrozoobenthos, respectively. The density of birds ranged from 2.35-23.94 ind/ha with Sterna hirundo of the Sternidae family having the highest density. The reptile species density ranged between 20 and 66.67 ind/ha, while the most common macrozoobenthos species were from Gastropoda and Pelecypoda classes. The highest and lowest relative abundance for birds were S. hirundo and Sula lencogastes with 20% and 5%, while that of reptiles were Mabouya sp. and Varanus salvadorii with 37% and 15%, and for macrozoobenthos species were Duplicaria duplicata and Solen sp. with 9.93% and 0.35%, respectively. The Diversity Index (H’) of birds, reptiles, and macrozoobenthos ranged of 0.29-1.39, 0.27-1.61, and 2.92-3.04, respectively. The diversity index was as low at Abepantai and Youtefa Bay Pier, while moderate at Tobati, Enggros, and Nafri Villages. Water quality parameters indicated that the waters in Youtefa Bay Tourism Park were still suitable for the survival of biota and the preservation of the mangrove ecosystem. The results of this study might be useful for monitoring the status of the mangrove ecosystem in the future and for baseline information in developing sustainable management of Youtefa Bay Tourism Park.

Persaingan di industri perumahsakitan Indonesia semakin ketat, hal ini menuntut pihak manajemen rumah sakit bekerja lebih giat lagi, termasuk Rumah Sakit Islam Faisal Makassar. Segmentasi pasar perlu dilakukan agar rumah sakit dapat memfokuskan pelayanan kesehatan terhadap pasar tertentu sehingga terciptanya loyalitas pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui segmentasi pasar berdasarkan karakteristik pengguna jasa pelayanan kesehatan di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Islam Faisal Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei deskriptif. Total sampel sebanyak 99 orang di ruang rawat inap RS Islam Faisal Makassar. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan wawancara dengan responden. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan analisis distribusi frekuensi dan analisis cluster. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa karakteristik demografi pasar Rumah Sakit berada pada kategori umur dewasa (26-45 tahun), perempuan, memiliki ukuran keluarga sedang, tingkat pendidikan tinggi, tidak bekerja/ IRT dengan pendapatan keluarga kurang. Berdasarkan karakteristik geografi, memiliki lokasi tempat tinggal dalam Kota Makassar dan status tempat tinggal merupakan rumah milik sendiri. Berdasarkan karakteristik psikografi memiliki motivasi dan persepsi tinggi. Berdasarkan karakteristik perilaku, pola pencarian pengobatan ketika sakit sedang dan berat memanfaatkan pelayanan kesehatan sedangkan ketika sakit ringan cenderung untuk membeli obat di warung/ apotek, frekuensi pemanfaatan rumah sakit tinggi. Berdasarkan karakteristik yang didapatkan, segmentasi pasar di Rumah Sakit Islam Faisal Makassar terbagi atas tiga segmen yaitu Hospital Aversion (34,3%), Hospital Care Minimizer (2,0%), dan Hospital Care Maximizer (64,6%).

The waters in Youtefa Bay have degradation due to the transition from mangrove areas to industrial sites, housing, bridge construction and household waste disposal. Water degradation has indirectly affected the growth of plankton. Plankton consists of phytoplankton which is the primary producer of the food chain so that it is utilized by zooplankton as the first consumer. The aim of this study was to determine the abundance and diversity of phytoplankton and zooplankton. This research was conducted during June-August 2019, the method used purposive sampling. Samples were obtained from 6 observation stations. The results showed there is 28 species of phytoplankton (∑160,000 ind/L) and 15 species of Zooplankton (∑ 84,200 ind/L). The diversity index of Phytoplankton is ranging from 1-2.21; Dominance (D) 0.17-0.4 and similarity (E) 0.59-1, while for zooplankton diversity (H’) ranges from 0.97-1.39; Domination (D) 0.07-0.42 and similarity (E) 0.59-1. The stability of mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata Forsska0l) production were still constrained, especially the high mortality in the larval stage caused by vibriosis infection in the form of vibrio bacterial attack, so natural extracts as antibacterial such as R.stylosa and A.marina were needed. The purpose of this study was to assess the antibacterial activity R.Stylosa and A.marina of mangrove fruit extracts through in-vitro as the cause vibriosis of mangrove crab larvae. (Scylla serrata F). On fruit sample and extraction of active ingredients R.Stylosa and A.marina fruit were the initial stages of the study, then continued with bacterial isolation, soaked calculation of% and antibacterial activity test for antibacterial on vibrio bacteria. The results of the soaked calculation of% R.stylosa at the concentration of 2 mg / disk / 50 μl, the highest obtained in metanol was 12.92% and A.marina was 8.61% in metanol; The results of antibacterial activity based on inhibition zone area, for the highest R.stylosa in solvent metanol (11.40 mm) , in V.harveyi bacteria, then followed by 7.18 mm in V. alginolyticus bacteria, then 7.03 mm in V.paraemolyticus bacteria, where as the results of antibacterial activity based on inhibition zone area, for the highest A.marina in the Chloroform solvent (21.09mm), in V.harveyi bacteria, then followed 19.08mm in V. paraemolyticus bacteria, and 11.80mm in V.alginolyticus bacteria. Obstacle zones obtained categorized as moderate to very high (> 11- 20mm) based on the description at Zainuddin (2006) so that they met the requirements to be applied through in-vivo.

This study aims to identify and determine the composition of fish species. Sampling was carried out from July 2019 to January 2020 in Youtefa Bay. Fish sampling was conducted by using gill nets. Fishes were caught once in each month during the research period. The result showed of 562 individuals in 53 species of 26 families. Hypothermia barnesi (14,77%); Mugil sp. (12,46%); Acanthurus auranticavus (6,23%); Hemirhamphus far (6,05%); Lutjanus carponotatus (4,09%) and Gerres erythrourus (3,92%). The number and type of fish caught are influenced by seagrass and mangrove ecosystems. The number of fish in each site was affected by the substrate, brightness, and the percentage of seagrass bed coverage; the higher percentage of brightness and seagrass coverage, the higher number of fish found.

Good water quality is extremely important to support the life of the organism. The determination of water quality status was needed as a reference to monitor water pollution. This study aimed to assess the status of water quality and determine the pollution index based on physical-chemical parameters in the Youtefa bay tourism area. Sampling was carried out in august 2019 across six research stations; then, the result was compared with water quality standard based on KEPMEN-LH No. 51 the Year 2004 For marine biotas. The results showed that the parameter according to the quality standard is physics parameters; pH, Salinity, DO, and BOD5, while those that have exceeded the quality standards are total ammonia, nitrate, surfactant (detergent), phosphate and dissolved metal. The pollution index indicates the Youtefa Bay waters were in light to medium categories.

Mangrove merupakan salah satu ekosistem pesisir yang sangat penting karena memiliki fungsi ekologis serta ekonomis bagi masyarakat pesisir. Saat ini hutan mangrove mengalami kerusakan dari tekanan yang berat akibat pertumbuhan penduduk. Untuk mengurangi kerusakan mangrove maka perlu dilakukan upaya rehabilitasi mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan memetakan kesesuaian lahan untuk mengrove di Kecamatan Bontoa. Manfaat dari penelitian yaitu memberikan informasi tentang analisis kesesuaian lahan untuk rehabilitasi mangrove. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2011. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey lapangan dengan parameter kondisi arus, pasang surut, gelombang, suhu, salinitas, kondisi substrat dan kemiringan lereng. Data dianalisis dengan metode skoring dan diplot berdasarkan peta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua kategori kesesuaian yaitu sesuai dan cukup sesuai. Untuk jenis sesuai didapatkan jenis Rhizophora spp, Avicennia spp, Sonneratia alba , S. caseolaris , Bruguiera parvilofa dan B. Xesangula . Sementara kategori cukup sesuai dari jenis B. gymnorhiza . Kondisi mangrove yang dapat direhabilitasi di Desa Ampelkale sebesar 55,375 ha, Desa Pajukuang 6,636 ha, dan Desa Bontobahari 16,011 ha.Kata kunci : kesesuaian lahan dan rehabilitasi ekosistem mangrove

This research was carried out from May to September 2013, located around Tallo River estuary, District of Tallo, Municipality of Makassar, Indonesia. The aim of this research was to determine the contribution of environmental parameters on the stability of ecological mollusks, using a quantitative method of sampling with a Principal Component Analysis Approach (PCA). The results of this research are expected to provide an overview and information for further research and as consideration for stockholders to ascertain the suitability of ecological habitats for the survival of molluscs. The abundance and percentage of Molluscs were found in three classes , i.e., 285 ind/m 2 of Pelecypod s or 61%, 95 ind/m 2 95 of gastropods or 20%, 90 ind/m 2 of Bivalves or 19%. The contributions of environmental parameters as an identifier in management of habitat of mollusc are that salinity is +0.1571 in the range of 20 to 31%. The contribution of the depth is 0.5284 with a value of 1-4 meters. A pH value is +0.5834 with a value of 7.7 to 8.2. Dissolved organic matter with a contribution is 0.0083 with a value of 21.98 to 52.74 ppm. Turbidity with a contribution is 0.1730 with a value of 2.8 to 7.25 NTU. The range is an optimal range for the growth and survival of molluscs at the research location.

Kontribusi Ekosistem Mangrove terhadap Peningkatan Potensi Sumberdaya Perairan di Kabupaten Barru Sulawesi Selatan oleh Amran Saru Jurusan Ilmu Kelautan Fak Ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan-Unhas Makassar ABSTRAK Mangrove merupakan salah satu ekosistem kunci yang terdapat di wilayah pesisir. Salah satu peranan penting ekosistem mangrove yaitu penyuplai bahan organik yang menunjang ketersediaan potensi sumberdaya perairan. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada September hingga Nopember 2012, di Kabupaten Barru Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Analisis sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Ekologi Laut, Jurusan Ilmu Kelautan Fakultas Ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Hasanuddin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Mengetahui kondisi dan luasan ekosistem mangrove, dan (2) Mengetahui kontribusi ekosistem mangrove terhadap peningkatan potensi sumberdaya perairan. Stasiun pengamatan ditentukan secara purposive berdasarkan representasi dari kondisi ekosistem mangrove dan aktifitas masyarakat yang berdomisili di setiap desa pesisir. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan sebagai berikut: Sampel mangrove diidentifikasi merujuk pada Noor, et al. (1999), Saru (2006) dan Soerianegara (1987). Data vegetasi mangrove yang diperoleh dari lapangan selanjutnya dianalisis untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis (Bengen, 2002 dan Kusmana, 1997). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di lokasi penelitian terdapat jenis mangrove : Avicennia spp, Rhizophora spp, Sonneratia spp, Bruguiera sp, Ceriops sp, panus, Nypa frutican, Pandanus sp, dan Ipomeea pescaprae. Luas mangrove sekitar 96,92 hektar dengan nilai potensi sumberdaya perairan pesisir sekitar 41.575.680 Rp/ha/thn. Kata Kunci : Ekosistem Mangrove dan potensi sumberdaya perairan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberlanjutan sumberdaya terumbu karang untuk ekowisata bahari melalui pendekatan model keterpaduan antara pemerintah, swasta, dan masyarakat lokal di Kabupaten Raja Ampat dengan menggunakan Program Rapid Appraisal for Sustainability Marine Ecotourism (RASME). Secara khusus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji lanjut Program RASME yang merupakan ???tools??? baru untuk menganalisis keberlanjutan ekowisata bahari berbasis keterpaduan stakeholder (Bahar, 2012). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan sekunder. Data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai literatur hasil penelitian terdahulu di Kabupaten Raja Ampat, instansi teknis dan LSM. Pengambilan data primer yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan kuisioner, wawancara mendalam yang dilanjutkan dengan diskusi kelompok terfokus (Focus Group Discussion/FGD). Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Program RASME, selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stakeholder utama yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan ekowisata bahari di Raja Ampat adalah Dinas Pariwisata, Dinas Pendapatan Daerah, Dive Operator dan Pemandu wisata/buddy dive. Status keberlanjutan ekowisata bahari di Kabupaten Raja Ampat masih dikategorikan berpotensi berkelanjutan dengan nilai rata-rata kontribusi stakeholder 60,4.

Macrozoobenthic population tends to be influenced by sedimentation process. The study was aimed to analyze this influence to the distribution of macrozoobenthic in the Tallo River estuary by Correspondence Analysis Method. The abundance of macrozoobenthic found in counting down were 285 ind/m2 of pelecypods, 170 ind/m2 of polychaetes, 95 ind/m2 of gastropods, 90 ind/m2 of bivalves, 35 ind/m2 of ophiuroids, 30 ind/m2 of crustaceans, and 5 ind/m2 of myzostomids. The distribution pattern of macrozoobenthic at the estuary showed that pelecypods and bivalves were very abundance in sand texture, whereas myzostomids, polychaetes, crustacean, ophiuroids and gastropods were very abundance in sand silt texture
