The parameters of mechanical action on solids were determined for apatite and quartz as examples, providing separation between fracture, grinding and mechanical activation processes in solids. The texture, structural and chemical changes accompanying these processes in the samples under investigation are shown. The data on mechanochemical synthesis of isomorphous apatite modifications in multicomponent systems are reported. A reversible character of mechanochemical activation and mechanochemical synthesis is discovered.

The proposed degradation model is verified by experiments to determine the breakage behavior of inhomogeneous granules. The stressing contact points are configured by repeated stressing. The model represents contact point configuration and distributed mechanical properties within a single granule by fitting Monte-Carlo data. It is applied to fit the cumulative breakage probability with normal, random, and Weibull strength distributions. The drop weight test verifies the model by testing γ-Al2O3 and Zeolite 4AK granules. The breakage behavior of γ-Al2O3 granules was investigated by repeated stressing with double impact and compression test. Regarding to the stressing point of particle surface, the experiment was established in two treatment conditions - fixed and rotated treatment. In the case of double impact test a hardening factor was introduced into the breakage probability model.
