Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) Recently there is a great effort to use the benefits of nanometric powders additions in the matrices of advanced refractory concretes of ; low (LC), ultra low (ULC) and no cement (NC) refractory concretes, in order to make their microstructures more resistant to corrosion and thermal shock damage. The common routes consist in the addition of nano-oxides of refractory phases of interest in the form of colloidal liquid or pre prepared powder. These during the firing of the concretes result in particles that are not really nanometric, but rather sub-micrometric or even micrometrics, which decreases their potential benefits. In this work, aiming the in situ development of nano oxide particles of Al, Mg and Cr, for better thermo mechanical properties, polymer resins produced by the Pechini Method, were added to advanced concretes (LC, ULC and NC) typical compositions, serving doubly as a kneading liquid for the refractory concretes and at the same time as a source of nano-oxides to the refractory concretes matrices. There is an important difference between this type of in situ development of nanoparticles and those derived from pre-prepared nanometric particles, considering that in the liquid resins the metals are in atomic condition, so that during the pyrolysis and oxidation of the same, the oxides will originate in nascent state, that is, in a truly nano scale, besides being highly reactive and more homogeneously distributed throughout the matrix. The results demonstrated that the inclusion of the liquid resins promoted a significant improvement in the thermomechanical properties of all the concretes when compared to those of no resin addition. Also for comparative grounds, it was prepared individually from each resin, its respective nano oxide powder. These were added to the mass of the refractory concretes in the same proportion of those obtained upon pyrolysis and oxidation of the resins. The results did not show any improvement in the thermomechanical properties comparatively to the in situ development of nano oxides by addition of the liquid resins. Recentemente tem havido um grande esforço em se utilizar os benefícios de pós nanométricos nas matrizes de concretos refratários avançados dos tipos; baixo (BC), ultrabaixo (UBTC) e sem cimento (SC), com o objetivo de tornar as microestruturas mais resistentes a danos por corrosão e choque térmico. A técnica comum consiste na adição de nano-óxidos de fases refratárias de interesse na forma coloidal ou em pó pré-peparado. Esses, durante a queima dos concretos, resultam em partículas não realmente nanométricas, mas sim sub ou mesmo micrométricas o que diminui seus benefícios potenciais. No presente trabalho, objetivando o desenvolvimento in situ de pós manométricos na matriz de diferentes tipos de concretos refratários avançados, resinas poliméricas aquosas, produzidas através do Método Pechini e contendo 5cátions de interesse refratário (Al, Mg, Cr), foram utilizadas para atuar tanto como líquido de amassamento como fonte precursora de nano-óxidos. A diferença entre essa via de inclusão de nanopartículas e aquelas derivadas dos métodos correntes de adição de partículas nanométricas é evidente, considerando que nas resinas líquidas os metais se encontram em condição atômica, assim durante a pirólise e oxidação das mesmas, os óxidos irão se originar de forma nascente, isto é, em escala realmente nanométrica e altamente reativos, distribuídos de forma mais homogênea pela matriz. Os resultados obtidos mostraram uma melhora significativa nas propriedades termo-mecânicas, comparativamente as dos concretos sem adição das resinas. Ainda para efeito comparativo, foram pré-produzidos individualmente na forma de pó, pela pirólise das respectivas resinas, os mesmos nano-óxidos que seriam obtidos nos concretos. Estes foram adicionados à massa dos concretos refratários, na mesma proporção daquelas resultantes da inclusão da resina líquida. Ficou evidenciado que a adição posterior dos nano-pós não resultou em melhorias nas propriedades termo-mecânicas dos concretos refratários como as obtidas com a inclusão das resinas. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different doses of organic fertilization with doses of lithothanmium and vinasse on the initial growth of sugarcane cv. RB 86-7515. The study was carried out in the experimental area of the School of Agronomy, of Universidade Federal de Goiás, Brazil. A completely randomized experimental design was carried out to analyze data with three replicates, in a 5 x 5 x 2 factorial scheme. Plants were cultivated in containers of 200 liters. Treatments correspond to five vinasse doses (0, 165, 330, 495 and 660 m3.h-1) and five doses of lithothanmium (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 kg.ha-1) and sugarcane cultivation under irrigated and rainfed conditions. Irrigation was carried out using a drip emitter system with a flow rate of 4 L.h-1. Application of fertilizer treatments were parceled out according to nutrient uptake progress from sugarcane plants. Variables evaluated were as follows: number of buds, plant height, leaf area index and stem diameter, over different growing stages. Treatments produced significant effects on crop growth parameters; results showed that irrigated and fertilized sugarcane plants with 196 kg.ha-1 of lithothanmium and 165 m3.ha-1 of vinasse exhibited the best results. Resumen El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar el crecimiento inicial de la caña de azúcar variedad RB 86-7515, cultivada en sistema de producción orgánica y fertilizada con dosis de lithothanmium y vinaza, se desarrolló un experimento. La investigación se llevó a cabo en la Escuela de Agronomía de la Universidade Federal de Goiás, Brasil. El delineamiento estadístico fue en un diseño completamente aleatorio con tres repeticiones, en esquema factorial (5 x 5 x 2). Las plantas fueron cultivadas en contenedores de plástico de 200 litros. Los tratamientos correspondieron a cinco dosis de vinaza (0, 165, 330, 495 e 660 m3.h-1) y cinco dosis de lithothanmium (0, 100, 200, 300 e 400 kg.ha-1) en dos ambientes: irrigado y no irrigado. El sistema de irrigación utilizado fue por goteo con emisores de 4 L.h-1. La aplicación de los tratamientos de fertilización, fueron divididas de acuerdo con la marcha de absorción de nutrientes por las plantas de caña de azúcar. Se evaluaron número de brotes (cañas), altura de plantas, índice de área foliar y diámetro del cormo a lo largo de diferentes etapas fenológicas del cultivo. Los tratamientos aplicados provocaron efectos significativos sobre los parámetros de crecimiento del cultivo, siendo las plantas irrigadas y fertilizadas con 196 kg.ha-1 de lithothanmium y 330 m3.ha-1 de vinaza, las que exhibieron los mejores resultados.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the growth of pequi trees in function of irrigation and organic fertilization. A total of 96 pequi plants (6-8 years of age), spaced 5 x 5 m, were used in a randomized blocks experiment with six plots and for repetitions. Four treatments were evaluated: IF = Irrigation with fertilization, IWF = Irrigation without fertilization, WIF = Without irrigation with fertilization, and WIWF = Without irrigation and without fertilization, in subdivided plots. The irrigation system was microsprinklers. The volume of water applied was estimated by the evapotranspiration of pequi trees. Cover fertilizations were performed in Nov/2014 using composting material and Yorim, and in Nov/2015 using tanned cattle manure and chicken litter. The growth was monthly evaluated by the height and the stem perimeter, and the canopy was evaluated in a 7.1 years old orchard. Leaf temperature and transpiration were evaluated by sap flow in irrigated and non-irrigated trees. The pequi tree did not respond to treatments in terms of height and stem perimeter. Irrigation provided trees with larger canopy areas. When irrigated, the leaf temperature of pequi trees remained below average air temperatures, independently of dry or rainy periods. Without irrigation, plants presented water stress during the dry season. Under rainy conditions, the mean transpiration of the pequi tree was 24.09 L d-1 per plant. When irrigated, it was on average 42.29 L d-1 per plant. RESUMEN El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar el crecimiento de árboles de pequi en función de la irrigación y la fertilización orgánica, en un experimento de bloques al azar con seis parcelas y cuatro repeticiones. Se utilizaron 16 plantas por parcela espaciadas 5 x 5 m. Se evaluaron cuatro tratamientos: IF = Riego con fertilización, IWF = Riego sin fertilización, WIF = Sin riego con fertilización, y WIWF = Sin riego y sin fertilización, en parcelas subdivididas. El sistema de riego utilizado fue microaspersión. El volumen de agua aplicada se estimó en función de la evapotranspiración de los árboles de pequi. Las dosis de fertilización se aplicaron en noviembre de 2014 utilizando material de compostaje y Yorim; y en noviembre de 2015 se utilizó estiércol de ganado y estiércol de pollo. Cada mes se evaluaron la altura y el perímetro del tallo; el dosel fue evaluado en un huerto de 7,1 años. La temperatura de la hoja y la transpiración fueron evaluadas por el flujo de savia en árboles irrigados y no irrigados. El pequi no respondió a los tratamientos en términos de altura y perímetro del tallo. El riego proporcionó árboles con áreas más grandes de copa. Cuando se regaron, la temperatura de las hojas de los árboles de pequi se mantuvo por debajo de las temperaturas promedio del aire, independientemente de los períodos secos o lluviosos. Sin riego, las plantas presentaron estrés hídrico durante la estación seca. Bajo condiciones de lluvia, la transpiración media del árbol de pequi fue de 24,09 L d-1 por planta. Cuando se regaba, era en promedio de 42,29 L d-1 por planta.

The application of high level of fertilization and inadequate management of fertigation in tomato crop can promote increase of salinity of the solution, nutritional imbalance and physiological disorders in the plants, consequently reduces the productivity and the quality of the fruits. The aim of this study was to evaluate different fertigation strategies in growth and production of mini tomato plants cultivated with substrate in a greenhouse. The experimental design was in randomized complete blocks with four treatments and twenty replicates. The treatments corresponded to four fertigation strategies, as follows: T1 [(control) fertigation with leaching of 20%]; T2 fertigation throughout the day and irrigation at the end of the day with leaching of 20%; T3 irrigation with leaching of 20%, followed by fertigation in all activations of the irrigation system; T4 fertigation with leaching of 20% and reuse of the leached solution. Stem height and diameter, number of clusters, total and commercial fruit production, fruit size, fruit color, total titratable acidity, soluble solids content and fruit texture were evaluated. No significant differences were detected among the treatments in relation to the growth variables of the mini tomato plants. The strategies of fertigation tested do not influence significantly the growth of tomato plants. The T1 and T4 managements provide higher commercial production and fruits with higher content of soluble solids when compared with other management strategies evaluated. Considering the nutritional factor, we recommend to reuse the nutrient solution used in the tomato cultivation with substrate, correcting daily the electrical conductivity of the solution. RESUMO A aplicação de elevado nível de adubação e o manejo inadequado da fertirrigação no cultivo de tomateiro podem promover aumento da salinidade da solução, desequilíbrio nutricional e desordens fisiológicas nas plantas, com conseqüente redução de produtividade e qualidade dos frutos. Objetivou-se avaliar diferentes estratégias de fertirrigação no crescimento e produção de minitomates cultivados em vasos com substrato em casa de vegetação. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos ao acaso com quatro tratamentos e vinte repetições. Os tratamentos corresponderam a quatro manejos da fertirrigação: T1 [(testemunha) fertirrigação com lixiviação de 20%]; T2 fertirrigação ao longo do dia e irrigação no final do dia com lixiviação de 20%; T3 irrigação com lixiviação de 20%, seguida de fertirrigação em todos os acionamentos do sistema de irrigação; T4 fertirrigação com lixiviação de 20% e reuso da solução lixiviada. Avaliaram-se altura e diâmetro da haste, número de cachos, produção total e comercial de frutos, tamanho, coloração, acidez total titulável, teor de sólidos solúveis e textura de frutos. Não foram detectadas diferenças significativas entre os tratamentos em relação às variáveis de crescimento do minitomate. Os manejos de fertirrigação testados não influenciam significativamente o crescimento do tomateiro. Os manejos T1 e T4 proporcionam maior produção comercial e frutos com maior teor de sólidos solúveis em relação às demais estratégias de manejo avaliadas. Considerando o fator nutricional, recomenda-se a reutilização da solução nutritiva usada no cultivo do tomateiro em substrato, corrigindo-se diariamente a condutividade elétrica da solução.

RESUMO O mogno-africano (Khaya ivorensis A. Chev.) é uma espécie arbórea, nativa do continente Africano, com boa qualidade de madeira, muito utilizada na confecção de móveis, na indústria naval, na construção de portas e portais, dentre outros. Tendo em vista que as condições de clima e solo são semelhantes entre a região de origem e o Brasil, pode-se inferir que o território brasileiro possui um grande potencial de cultivo. Este trabalho objetivou identificar zonas com aptidão edafoclimática para o mogno-africano no Brasil. A partir das variáveis, temperatura média, pluviosidade anual e tipos de solo, elaboraram-se critérios de seleção de regiões aptas, restritas e inaptas, para o adequado crescimento e desenvolvimento do mogno. Regiões que apresentaram temperaturas entre 23°C e 29°C foram consideradas aptas, com temperaturas entre 18°C e 23°C e de 29°C a 35°C, foram restritas, e valores de temperatura menores que 18°C e maiores que 35°C, inaptas. Com relação à pluviosidade, zonas consideradas aptas compreenderam uma quantidade de 830 a 3.000 mm ano1, sendo que valores menores que 830 e maiores que 3.000, foram inaptas. Para a aptidão edáfica, foram consideradas aptas as regiões contendo os mesmos tipos de solos existentes na região de origem do mogno (Argissolo, Latossolo, Neossolo, Quartzarênico, Litólico, Insular e Equatorial). A partir das características edafoclimáticas determinou-se que 55,62% da área brasileira foi considerada apta, 11,66 % apta com restrições leves, 25,00 % apta com restrições moderadas e 7,71 % restrita. ABSTRACT The African mahogany (Khaya ivorensis A. Chev.) is a tree native from African continent, which has good quality wood and is used in furniture, shipbuilding, doors, among others. This work aimed to verify the Brazilian regions with climate and soil aptitude to the African mahogany. Rainfall, temperature and types of soil were used with variables of reference, from mahogany origin region, especially in the West African coast. From those variables, it was elaborated a selection criterion of regions considered apt, low apt and unapt to the appropriate mahogany growth and development. Brazilian regions that showed range of temperatures between 23°C and 29°C were considered apt, range from 18°C to 23 °C and from 29°C to 35°C were considered low apt, and when the range of temperature was lower than 18°C and higher than 35°C, unapt. To rainfall variable, areas with amount from 830 to 3000 mm year1 were considerate apt, with values less than 830 and higher than 3000 were unapt. Apt regions, to edaphic characteristics, were those that contain the same types of soils found in the origin region of Khaya ivorensis A. Chev. (Ultisol, Oxisol, Neossolo, Quartzarenic Litholic, Insular and Equatorial). From the soil and climate characteristics was determined that 55.62 % of Brazil area was declared apt, 11.66 % apt with slight restrictions, 25.00% apt with mean restriction and 7.71 % restricted.
