Özellikle 19. yüzyıldan itibaren Osmanlı Devleti, başlattığı modernleşme çalışmalarıyla yönünü Batı’ya çevirmiş ve Tanzimat’tan itibaren düşünsel hayattan kurumsal yapıya kadar sosyal ve siyasi hayatta Batı etkisi yoğun bir şekilde hissedilmeye başlanmıştır. Bir siyaset bilimci ve sosyolog olan Şerif Mardin, bu süreçte Osmanlı Devleti’nde sosyal ve düşünsel alana sirayet eden Batılılaşma hareketlerini, kaleme aldığı tezlerinde ve makalelerinde büyük bir ilgi ve merakla yoğurmuştur. Fikri ürünlerin siyasi yapılanmada ve onu şekillendirmedeki rolünden yola çıkan, buna mukabil sorgulayıcı bir tutum sergileyen Mardin, Yeni Osmanlılar ve akabinde Jön Türklerin siyasi fikirlerinden hareketle Türk siyasal hayatına farklı bir bakış kazandırmıştır. Nitekim Osmanlı’dan Cumhuriyet’e uzanan süreçte, Batılılaşmanın etkisiyle yapılan birçok yenilikle beraber toplumsal alanda kopukluklar da meydana gelmiştir. Bu kopukluk, Atatürk döneminde de artarak devam etmiştir. Bu çerçevede Şerif Mardin’de bu süreci fikri yönleri, süreklilikleri, kopuklukları ve kırılma noktalarıyla ele almış, yeni ve özgün bir kavram dizisi oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmada, yukarıda ifade edilen konular Şerif Mardin eserlerinden hareketle detaylı bir biçimde ele alınmış ve kimi zaman ölçülü olarak ortaya çıkan, kimi zamansa geleneksel kültürün karşısında duran ve onu tenkit eden bir yapı kazanan modernleşme süreci, Mardin perspektifinden değerlendirilmiştir. Especially since the 19th century, the Ottoman Empire turned its direction to the West with its modernization efforts, and since the Tanzimat, the Western influence began to be felt instensely in social and political life, from intellectual life to institutional structure. Şerif Mardin, a political scientist and sociologist, has mixed the Westernization movements that spread to the social and intellectual field in the Ottoman Empire in his theses and articles with great interest and curiosity. Starting from the role of intellectual products in the political structuring and shaping it, and displaying a questioning attitude on the contrary, Mardin brought a different perspective to Turkish political life based on the political ideas of the New Ottomans and subsequently the Young Turks. As a matter of fact, in the process from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic, along with many innovations made with the effect of Westernization, disconnections in the social field also occurred. This disconnection continued in the Atatürk period. In this framework, Şerif Mardin dealt witht his process with its intellectual aspects, continuities, disconnections and breaking points and created a new and original concept series. In this study, the above –mentioned issues are discussed in detail with reference to Şerif Mardin’s works, and the modernization process, which sometimes emerges in a measured way, sometimes stands against traditional culture and gains a structure that criticizes it, is evaluated from the perspective of Mardin.

Fakat Lawrence’ın savaşın herhangi bir döneminde Harar’a geldiğine dair kesin bir kanıt yoktur. İddianın gerçekliğiprobleminden bağımsız olarak Harar’a Lawrence adında bir binbaşının giriş yaptığı kesindir. Burada, iddianın karmaşık yapısını anlamak için Habeşistan’da yaşanan gelişmeleride dikkatli takip etmek gerekmektedir. Çalışmada Katar dijital arşivinde yer alan İngiliz resmî yazışmaları, Durham Üniversitesi arşivi Sir Reginald Wingate dosyaları,iddiayı inceleyen Türkçe ve yabancı dillerdeki ulaşılan telif-tetkik eserler ve Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi kayıtlarından elde edilen belgeler kullanılarak iddianındetaylı bir analizi sunulmaktadır., In East Africa in World War I, in Abyssinia and Somalia, both blocs mutually sought to expand their areas of intelligence, propaganda and military gainthroughout the war. Adding yet another to the mythical whispers of Britain’s spying attempts was a claim linked to Abyssinia and Somalia. Allegedly, the overthrow of theruler of Abyssinia, Lij Iyasu, in a coup in 1916 was a British plan. The plan was associated with T. E. Lawrence. The claim was that Lawrence organized it. According tothis, in the incident that took place in Harar, the Abyssinian ruler Lij Iyasu was given a turban symbolizing that he had chosen Islam, and the person who gave the turban wasLawrence. But there is no conclusive evidence that Lawrence came to Harar at any time during the war. Regardless of the problem of the truth of the claim, it is certainthat a major named Lawrence entered Harar. Here, in order to understand the complex structure of the claim, it is necessary to follow the developments in Abyssinia carefully.In the study, a detailed analysis of the claim is presented using the British official correspondence in the digital archive of Quatar, the Durham University archive’sSir Reginald Wingate files, the copyright-study works obtained in Turkish and foreign languages that have examined the claim, and the documents obtained from the recordsof the Ottoman Archive.

YÖK Tez No: 581138 Tekstil boyar maddeleri atık sularda bulunan, insan ve çevre sağlığını olumsuz yönde etkileyen kirleticilerden biridir. Bu kimyasalların atık sulardan uzaklaştırılması canlı yaşamı için önemlidir. Bu tez çalışmasında, birlikte çöktürme yöntemi ile Bi2O3 ve ZnO sentezlenmiştir. , Sentezlenen fotokatalizörler yardımı ile boyar maddelerin (Victoria Blue, Malachite Green) giderilmesi için adsorpsiyon ve fotokatalitik bozunma reaksiyonları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katalizörlerin aktivitesini iyileştirmek amacı ile saf oksit yapılara yüzey aktif madde (CTAB) ilavesi yapılmış ve Bi2O3-CTAB ve ZnO-CTAB katalizörleri hazırlanmıştır. Katalizörlerin BET, XRD, DRS, FTIR ve SEM analizleri ile yapısal özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Boyar maddelerin, hazırlanan katalizörler varlığında adsorpsiyonu ve fotokatalitik bozunma reaksiyonları incelenmiştir. Boyar maddelerin, hazırlanan katalizörler varlığında adsorpsiyonu UV-VIS spektrofotometresi ile analiz edilmiştir. Langmuir, Freundlich ve D-R izoterm yöntemleri üç farklı sıcaklık ve dört farklı derişimde adsorpsiyon izoterm deneyleri için uygulanmıştır. Fotokatalitik bozunma reaksiyonları ise hazırlanan katalizörler ile farklı ışık kaynakları altında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Değiştirilen ışık kaynaklarının boyar madde giderimine etkisi incelenmiştir. Reaksiyon sonuçları UV-VIS cihazı ile analiz edilmiş, boyar maddelerin % renk giderimleri hesaplanmıştır. Victoria Blue boyar maddesinin, Bi2O3-CTAB katalizörü varlığında güneş ışığı altında 60 dakika içersinde tam olarak (%100) renk giderimi sağlanmıştır. Malachite Green boyar maddesinin ise, ZnO-CTAB katalizörü varlığında güneş ışığı altında 120 dakika içerisinde tam olarak (%100) renk giderimi sağlanmıştır. Textile dyestuffs are one of the pollutants found in wastewater that negatively affect human and environmental health. Removal of these chemicals from waste water is important for living life. In this thesis, Bi2O3 ana ZnO were synthesized with coprecipitation method. The adsorption and photocatalytic degradation reactions were performed to remove dyes (Victoria Blue, Malachite Green) by synthesized photocatalysts. Bi2O3 ana ZnO were modified with Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB) in order to improve the degradation activity of the catalysts. Structural properties of catalysts were determined by BET, XRD, DRS, FTIR and SEM analyzes. Adsorption of dyes on prepared catalysts and photocatalytic degradation reactions were investigated. Adsorption of dyes on prepared catalysts was analyzed by UV-VIS spectrophotometer. Langmuir, Freundlich and D-R isotherm methods were applied for adsorption isotherm experiments at three different temperatures and four different concentrations. The photocatalytic degradation reactions were carried out with the prepared catalysts under different light sources. The effect of light sources on degradation was investigated. The reaction results were analyzed by UV-VIS spectrophotometer and color removal of the dyes (%) was calculated. The Victoria Blue dyestuff achieved complete (100%) decolorization in 60 minutes under sunlight in the presence of Bi2O3-CTAB catalyst. Malachite Green dyestuff, in the presence of Bi2O3-CTAB catalyst under sunlight in 120 minutes, complete (100%) color removal was achieved.

I. Dünya Savaşı'nda Habeşistan'ın konumu hem merkezi kuvvetler hem de müttefikler için oldukça önemlidir. Müttefik Devletlerin özellikle de İngiltere'nin Arap Yarımadası'ndaki çıkarları Kızıldeniz'in karşı sahillerinden gelecek herhangi bir tehditle zarar görebilirdi. Savaş döneminde Habeşistan tarafsız ve Doğu Afrika'daki tek bağımsız Afrika ülkesiydi. Kızıldeniz sahillerinde toprağı olmayan bu ülke Avrupalı sömürge yönetimleriyle sınırlarını paylaşıyordu. 1911 ve 1916 yılları arasında Habeşistan tahtında hükümdar Lij Iyasu bulunmaktaydı. Iyasu'nun siyasi hedefleri bu dönemde belirgin olarak Müttefiklerin çıkarlarıyla uyumsuz görünmektedir. Bu noktada savaş sırasında ülkeye yönelik yabancı devletlerin nüfuz girişimlerinin de yoğunlaştığı anlaşılmaktadır. Lij Iyasu'nun Merkezi kuvvetlere olan yakın politikası Türk-Alman faaliyetlerinden olan elçilikler ve çeşitli istihbarat hedefleri güden misyonlar ve siyasi ajanlar tarafından teşvik edildiği yönünde bir yaklaşımla karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada Türk-Alman faaliyetlerinin bir örneği olan Leo Frobenius misyonu incelenmektedir. Aynı zamanda İngiltere, Fransa ve İtalya'nın savaş öncesi, sırası ve sonrasında Habeşistan üzerinde kontrolü sağlama çabaları çeşitli anlaşmazlıklar da ön plana çıkarılarak irdelenmektedir. Somali'de sömürge karşıtı direnişin lideri olan Seyyid Muhammed Abdullah bin Hasan'ın Lij Iyasu'dan aldığı destek Habeşistan'ın politikalarını anlamak açısından önemli görülmüştür. Savaş boyunca Habeşistan'da yaşana gelişmeler 1916 Hükümet darbesi ile son bulmuş ve bu ülkenin savaş sonunda karşılaşacağı sorunların da temelini oluşturmuştur. The interests of the allied states, especially Britain's on the Arabian Peninsula, could be damaged by any threat from the opposite coast of the Red Sea. During the war period, Abyssinia was neutral and the only independent African country in East Africa. This country, which had no land on the Red Sea coast, shared its borders with the European colonial governments. The ruler Lij Iyasu was on the throne of Abyssinia between 1911 and 1916. Iyasu's political goals during this period seem distinctly incompatible with the interests of the Allies. At this point it is understood that attempts by foreign states to influence the country during the war have also intensified. Lij Iyasu's close policy towards the central forces is alleged to have been encouraged by embassies from Turkish-German activities and missions and political agents with various intelligence objectives. In this regard, the Leo Frobenius mission, an example of Turkish-German activities, is examined. At the same time, the efforts of Britain, France and Italy to gain control over Abyssinia before, during and after the war are also highlighted and examined. The support from Lij Iyasu that Muhammad Abdullah bin Hassan received, the leader of the anti-colonial resistance in Somalia, was seen as important in Understanding Abyssinia's policies. The developments in Abyssinia during the war ended with the government coup of 1916 and formed the basis of the problems that this country would face at the end of the war. Aim: The study aimed at identifying reasons for choosing nursing profession of first grade nursing students. Methods: The study designed in descriptive model, was also carried out in Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Health Sciences with 141 students who agreed to participate in the study from 180 first grade nursing students. The data were gathered using Information Form and Scale of nurse career choice (SNCC) between the 14 March -1 April 2016 and were analysed with percentages, means, ANOVA, T tests, Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis tests. Results: According to SNCC; students’ mean total percent score was 52.34%±14.54%, mean percent score for professional suitability was 54.21%±19.99% and mean percent score for vital reasons were 48.90%±15.10%. Especially professional suitability percent scores and total scale percent scores of those who made first five career options nursing during the profession selection period after university entrance exam and were served by nurses were high. WOS: 000427483300016 Bacterial cellulose (BC) is a very promising biological material. However, at present its utilization is limited by difficulties in shape forming it. In this Communication, it is shown how this can be overcome by blending it with poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) polymer. BC:PMMA fibers are produced by pressurized gyration of blended BC:PMMA solutions. Subsequently, BC:PMMA bandage-like scaffolds are generated with different blends. The products are investigated to determine their morphological and chemical features. Cell culture and proliferation tests are performed to obtain information on biocompatibility of the scaffolds. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı hemşirelik birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleğini seçme nedenlerini belirlemektir. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki bu araştırma, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi'nde öğrenim gören 180 hemşirelik 1. sınıf öğrencisinden araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 141 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu araştırma, hemşirelerin örgütsel sessizlik düzeyi üzerine yaratıcı dramayönteminin etkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla bir üniversite hastanesinde çalışan, 30deney, 30 kontrol 1, 30 kontrol 2 olmak üzere toplam 90 hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Veriler; bilgi formu, örgütsel sessizlik ölçeği, kontrol formu, drama oturumlarındahazırlanan ürünlerle toplanmıştır. Bulgulara göre yaratıcı drama uygulamaları deneygrubundaki hemşirelerin örgütsel sessizlik konularının yalnızca çalışan performansı altboyutunda sessizliklerini azaltırken (p0.05). Örgütsel sessizliğinnedenlerine yönelik ise tüm alt boyutlarda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farkoluşturmamıştır. Ancak tecrübesizlik ve işle ilgili korkulara bağlı nedenlere yöneliksessizliklerinde biraz azalma sağlamıştır (p 0.05). It didn't create a statistically significantdifference as for the reasons for organizational silence. However, it lead to a slightdecrease in the silence of reasons with regard to inexperience and work related fears(p 0.05). Moreover, based upon thequalitative data, the nurses in seven sub-themes, including negativecommunication/attitudes, organizational culture, appreciation, organizational/systemicinadequacy, managerial inadequacy, trust and hierarchical structure, in four sub-themesinvolving administrative and organizational causes, dismissal, workload punishment,self-interest, in two sub-themes such as work-related fears, lack of knowledge/skills andlack of self-confidence, in two sub-themes including lack of experience and in thetheme under the title of `not being seen as a problematic person`, the fear of isolation,manager-sub relationship and colleague-team, remained silent for fear of damagingrelationships.As a result, drama practices decreased the silence level of nurses for some issuesand reasons of organizational silence, while the solution was not sufficient. Pressurized gyration and its sister processes are novel methods to produce polymeric fibers. Potential applications for such fibers include wound dressings, tissue engineering scaffolds, and filters. This study reports on a pressurized gyration technique that employs pressured N2 gas to prepare biocompatible wound dressing bandages from bacterial cellulose and poly(methylmethacrylate) polymer blended with alloyed antimicrobial nanoparticles. Resulting bandages are manufactured with high product yield and characterized for their chemical, physical, and mechanical properties. Increased density in solutions with additional antimicrobial nanoparticles results in increased fiber diameters. Also, addition of antimicrobial nanoparticles enhances ultimate tensile strength and Young’s modulus of the bandages. Typical molecular bonding in the bandages is confirmed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, with peaks that have higher intensity and narrowing points being caused by additional antimicrobial nanoparticles. More so, the cellular response to the bandages and the accompanying antimicrobial activity are studied in detail by in vitro co-culture of Staphylococcus aureus and keratinocytes. Antimicrobial nanoparticle-loaded bandage samples show increased cell viability and bacteria inhibition during co-culture and are found to have a promising future as epidermal wound dressing materials.

Bu tez çalışmasında, elektrohidrodinamik atomizasyon ve 3-boyutlu yazıcı yöntemlerinin EHD-biyoyazım adı altında birleştirilmesi ile polikaprolakton ve bakteriyel selüloz polimerleri kullanılarak doku iskeletlerinin üretilmesi ve amoksisilin model ilacının doku iskeletlerinden salınımı araştırılmıştır. EHD-biyoyazım parametreleri ve çalışma koşulları optimize edildikten sonra elde edilen numuneler, taramalı elektron mikroskobu, fourier dönüşümlü kızılötesi spektroskopisi ve ultraviyole-gözle görünür spektroskopi kullanılarak karakterize edilmiştir.Doku iskeletleri ayrıca, sitotoksisite ve mtt deneyleri içeren bir dizi teknik kullanılarak, toksisite, canlılık ve proliferasyon açısından değerlendirilmek üzere fare embriyo fibroblast hücreleri ile 24, 48 ve 72 saatlik in vitro teste tabi tutulmuştur. 72 saatlik periyot sonunda hücrelerin, doku iskeleti içerisinde bulunan mikrofiberlerin yönü boyunca yayılmaya ve uzmaya başladığı, mikrofiber aralıklarına da sızdığı ve doku iskeleti numunesi üzerinde kümeler oluşturmaya başladığı açıkça görülmüştür. Ayrıca, doku iskeletleri üzerinde büyüyen hücreler, literatürde yayınlanmış benzerlerinden ≥%100 olarak daha fazla hücre canlılığı göstermiş ve bu canlılığı 72 saat sonuna kadar korumayı başarabilmiştir.Agar disk difüzyon testi, model ilaç yüklü doku iskeletlerinin antimikrobiyal özelliklerini incelemek için kullanılmış ve ilaç yüklü numunelerin Staphylococcus aureus ve Escherichia coli bakterilerine karşı oldukça yüksek antimikrobiyal özellik gösterdikleri belirlenmiştir.Numuneler üzerinde yapılan ilaç salınım çalışmaları sonucu elde edilen ilaç salınım sonuçları sıfır derece, birinci derece, Higuchi ve Korsmeyer-Peppas kinetik modelleri üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Dört farklı kinetik modelde, ilaç yüklü doku iskeletleri en iyi Higuchi salınım modeline uymuş ve ilaç salınım şekli belirlenmesi için kullanılan Korsmeyer-Peppas modeline göre de amoksisilinin doku iskeletlerinden Fick tipi salınım gerçekleştiği tespit edilmiştir.--------------------The work presented in this thesis investigates the combining and use of electrohydrodynamic atomisation and 3D printing methods namely, EHD-bioprinting for the fabrication of blended polycaprolactone and bacterial cellulose scaffolds designed for tissue engineering and delivery of model drug amoxicillin.After subsequent optimisation studies of the relevant EHD-bioprinting parameters, prepared samples are characterised using scanning electron microscopy, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy. Scaffolds are further tested in vitro for their interactions with mice embryo fibroblast cells in terms of toxicity, viability and proliferation, by using a range of techniques that include cytotoxicity testing and mtt assays for 24, 48 and 72-hours period. At the end of the period, it was clear that the cells began to spread along the direction of the microfibers within the tissue scaffold, infiltrated the microfiber gaps and began to form clusters on the tissue scaffold samples. Moreover, cells growing on tissue scaffolds is showed greater cell viability (≥100%) than the similar studies published in the literature and also managed to maintain this viability until the end of 72-hours.Agar disc diffusion test was used to study the antimicrobial properties of model drug loaded tissue scaffolds and samples are showed highly antimicrobial properties against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria.Drug release results are assessed according to zero order, first order, Higuchi and Korsmeyer-Peppas kinetic models with drug loaded scaffolds. Among the four different kinetic models, drug loaded scaffolds were fitted Higuchi release model the best and according to Korsmeyer-Peppas model, it is observed that release of amoxicillin from scaffolds occurred with Fickian release model.

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'de Organize Sanayi Bölgelerinin mevcut durumu ve çevre üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Türkiye' de OSB, ilk kez 1962' de Bursa' da uygulamaya konmuştur ve dengesiz bölgesel gelişmenin, çarpık kentleşmenin yol açtığı sorunların çözümünde birer araç olarak benimsenmiştir. Tarımsal hammaddenin ve yeraltı zenginliklerinin değerlendirildiği OSB, sanayiler arası ilişkilerin de geliştirildiği birer merkezdir. OSB'lerin kurulması, denetlenmesi, kredilendirilmesi ve çeşitli kuruluşlar ile koordinasyonun Sanayi ve Ticaret Bakanlığınca sağlanması, ülke çapında önemli gelişmelere yol açmıştır. Orta ve büyük ölçekli sanayi işletmeleri kentin dışında, kentten yeşil bantlarla ayrılan özel bölgelere yerleştirilmiş ve böylece çevreye kir, gaz, koku ve duman yayarak çevre kalitesini olumsuz yönde etkileyen sanayi kuruluşları, jeolojik etütlere de bağlı kalınarak kontrol altına alınabilmiştir. In Turkey, OIZ's have implemented in Bursa in 1962 for the first time and have been adopted as a means for the sollution of problems caused by instable regional development, irregular urbanization. OIZ' s in which agricultural raw material and underground resources are utilized, are also centers relationships between industries are developed in. Execution of the establishment, supervision and crediting of OIZ's along with providing their coordination with various establishments, by Ministry of Industry and Commerce, has resulted in positive devolopments countrywide. Medium and large scale industry establishments have been put in place in special areas outside the city which are seperated from residental areas with green zones and thus, industrial establishments which influence the environmental quality in a negative manner by means of emitting pollution, gas, smells and smoke, have been taken under control also connected with geological surveys.
