Abstract

We study a class of $p(x)$-Kirchhoff problems which is seldom studied because the nonlinearity has nonstandard growth and contains a bi-nonlocal term. Based on variational methods, especially the Mountain pass theorem and Ekeland's variational principle, we obtain the existence of two nontrivial solutions for the problem under certain assumptions. We also apply the Symmetric mountain pass theorem and Clarke's theorem to establish the existence of infinitely many solutions. Our results generalize and extend several existing results.

Abstract

Green corrosion inhibitors are biodegradable. Some research groups have reported the successful use of natural substances to inhibit the corrosion of metals in acidic and alkaline environments. Among the various green inhibitors, plant extracts are becoming increasingly popular. In this study, the inhibition and adsorption properties of Moringa oleifera (MO) leaf extract as corrosion inhibitors of XC70 carbon steel in 1M HCl were investigated using the weight loss method to monitor corrosion. The inhibition efficiency increases with increasing concentration of the MO extract, with the maximum percentage corrosion inhibition efficiency being 97.60% at 60(v/v). The adsorption mechanism between the extract and the carbon steel substrate is shown to obey the Langmuir and Temkin isotherms., Moroccan Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, Vol 19, No 2 (2020): In Progress

Abstract

Cet article présente un tableau général des divers moyens de protection des dangers et de guérison des maux, mis en oeuvre dans la société comorienne. Islamisée de façon continue depuis des siècles, cette société développe aussi une vision populaire du monde et des pratiques magico-religieuses plus ou moins tolérées par l'indulgence de l'islam local. Religion et pratiques populaires ont été elles-mêmes apportées par des groupes de population d'origine africaine, indonésienne, arabe ou malgache, qui ont juxtaposé ou mêlé divers systèmes de représentations. Leurs points communs sont : une vision déterminée d'un monde dominé par des déséquilibres et des concordances à respecter, justifiant l'observance de l'astrologie et le respect d'interdits; un relativisme social qui attribue à l'autre les intentions malveillantes qui ont provoqué le mal, les désordres et les problèmes qui affectent l'être humain, ou sa famille, dans sa vie quotidienne.
