Most organizations attempt to limit the total number of competencies to a rational number and consider the most important competencies. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine core competencies which can be improved through development programs for the academic leaders in Iran University of Medical Sciences.Methods: This study was conducted in two phases. The first phase was the critical review based on Carnwell and Daly’s approach. The search time was from 2000 to 2017. The searches were conducted in PubMed, Emerald, ERIC, ProQuest, Web of Science, Scopus, SID, and nor gram. The second phase was modified Delphi in three rounds. The purposive sampling was used to employ appropriate participants.Result: According to the critical review results, competencies were categorized in two groups, including 62 personal competencies and 19 functional competencies. Also, according to modified Delphi results, 19 competencies, including 12 personal competencies and 7 functional competencies were selected as trainable core competencies.Conclusion: In order to design a development program for academic leaders in the integrated educational system in Iran University of Medical Sciences, both personal and functional competencies need to be considered together. Statement of Problem: In order to increase the performance of glass ionomer cement, it is reinforced with metal powders, short fibers, bioceramics and other materials. Fluoroapatite(Ca10(PO4)6F2) is found in dental enamel and is usually used in dental materials due to its good chemical and physical properties. Objectives: In this study, the effects of the addition of synthesized fluoroapatite nanoceramic on the compressive strength and bioactivity of glass ionomer cement were investigated. Materials and Methods: The synthesized fluoroapatite nanoceramic particles (~ 70 nm) were incorporated into as-prepared glass ionomer powder and were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Moreover, the compressive strength values of the modified glass ionomer cements with 0, 1, 3 and 5 wt% of fluoroapatite were evaluated. Results: Results showed that glass ionomer cement containing 3 wt%fluoroapatite nanoparticles exhibited the highest compressive strength (102.6± 4) compared to the other groups, including control group. Furthermore, FTIR and SEM investigations indicated that after soaking the glass ionomer cement- 3 wt% fluoroapatite composite in the simulated body fluid solution, the intensity of O-H, P-O and C-O absorption bands increased as a result of the formation of apatite layer on the surface of the sample, and the rather flat and homogeneous surface of the cement became more porous and inhomogeneous. Conclusions: Addition of synthesized nano-fluoroapatite to as-prepared glass ionomer cement enhanced the compressive strength as well as nucleation of the calcium phosphate layer on the surface of the composite. This makes it a good candidate for dentistry and orthopedic applications.

Soft tissue measurements were performed on 36 randomly selected specimens by two investigators. The soft tissue measurements included external auditory meatus to subnasale (Ext-Sn), external auditory meatus to soft tissue pogonion (Ext-Pog), and the difference between them (UDMA´). Background: Staphylococci as a micro-organism, has the most importance to cause nosocomial infections, particularly in patients with indwelling catheters or other medical devices. Unfortunately 90% of Staphylococci isolated from the nosocomial infections are resistant to methicillin, and methicillin resistance strains are also resistant to a wide range of antimicrobial drugs, therefore detecting of these strains are valuable to eradicate the infection elements. Despite guidelines published by the national committee for clinical laboratory standards (NCCLS) for testing of susceptibility to methicillin for Staphylococci, the phenotypic method for detecting methicillin resistance remains controversial. Therefore, the genetic assays have been used to detect antimicrobial susceptibility of Staphylococci to methicillin."nMaterials and Methods: Resistance to methicillin is coded by mec A gene in staphylococcus, and this gen must be detected in genetic assays. In this study 155 clinical staphylococcal isolates (70 coagulase- negative staphylococcus and 85 coagulase- Positive staphylococci) were evaluated for susceptibility to methicillin by using disk diffusion method."nResuIts&Conclusion:Methicillin resistance was shown in 62 coagulase- negative staphylococcus (72.9%) and 27 coagulas positive staphylococcus (38.6%) but 63 coagulase negative Staphylococci (74%) and 28 coagulase positive isolates with mec a gene associated resistance were detected by PCR method. The results of this test were compared to the results for mec A gene detection by PCR test as a gold standard. The sensitivity, specifity and accuracy of the disk diffusion test for coagulase-negative staphylococcus were 96.8%, 95.45% and 96.47% and for coagulase positive staphylococci were 98.43%, 95.45% and 98.32% respectively.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) has been established as a causative agent in the development of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Specifically, HPV types 16 and 18 are known to be prevalent in oral cancers. This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the prevalence of HPV types 16 and 18 in OSCC cases in Qazvin province, Iran. Thirty-eight paraffin-embedded samples of OSCC were selected, and DNA extraction was performed using the Roche High Pure FFPE DNA isolation kit. The quality of the extracted DNA was assessed through PCR amplification of the human ß-Globin gene. The HPV detection was carried out using SYBR green-based real-time PCR with GP5+ and GP6+ primers targeting the L1 region of HPV. The HPV genotyping was conducted on positive samples using specific primers. Statistical analysis was performed between HPV infection in OSCC and age, sex, and anatomical location. This study analyzed 38 biopsy specimens obtained from male and female OSCC patients, with an average age of 64 years. Among these samples, 13 tested positive for HPV, resulting in a prevalence rate of 34.2%. The age group with the highest HPV infection rate was 61-70 (10.5%) years. Notably, HPV type 16 was detected in 21.0% of samples, HPV type 18 in 10.5%, and other viral subtypes in 2.6%. No statistically significant correlation was found between HPV prevalence and gender or age. The findings indicated that 34.2% of OSCC samples in the Qazvin province harbor HPV, with types 16 and 18 being the most common in tumors affecting the tongue. Additionally, no association was observed between HPV infection and age or gender. To address HPV as a risk factor for OSCC, public health initiatives such as vaccination, awareness campaigns, and accessible healthcare services should be implemented. Attendance is critical to the success of any business or industry. As a result, most businesses and institutions require a system to track staff attendance. On the other hand, cloud computing technology is being utilized in the human resource management sector. It may be an excellent option for processing and storing large amounts of data and improving management effectiveness to a desirable level. Hence, this paper examines cloud infrastructures for employee attendance management in which the articles are categorized into three groups. The results show that cloud infrastructure has a significant and positive impact on the management of employee attendance systems. Also, the results reveal that the radio frequency identification authentication protocol protects the privacy of tags and readers against database memory. When references operate properly, they help the people concerned and society by making workplaces more efficient and safer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
