The Cu2MnSnS4 (CMTS) film was prepared using the hydrothermal technique. The CMTS thin film was analyzed by the techniques of Ultraviolet–Visible (UV–Vis) spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX or EDS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To fabricate Al/Cu2MnSnS4 (CMTS)/p-Si/Al diode, the CMTS film was covered on p-Si wafer by a sol–gel spin-coating technique and the metallic contacts were prepared on film with pure aluminum. The current–voltage (I–V) properties of Al/Cu2MnSnS4 (CMTS)/p-Si/Al device were analyzed under dark and distinct illumination intensities (20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 mW/cm2). It was determined that the effect of light created a higher current compared to the dark current, and the reverse bias current increased approximately 80 times depending on the illumination intensity, which confirmed that the produced diode exhibited photoconductive behavior. The ideality factor (barrier height) values obtained as a result of the measurements performed in the dark and 100 mW/cm2 light intensity conditions of the produced device were found to be 3.85 (0.68 eV) and 4.54 (0.67 eV), respectively. Transient current measurements also supported this situation and also showed that the device could be enhanced as a photo-capacitor. In addition to these measurements, the effect of frequency and applied voltage on capacitance properties was investigated. The acquired results showed that both conductivity and capacitance were under a strong influence in reverse biasing. Considering all the results together, it has been shown that the used Cu2MnSnS4 (CMTS) material and the produced device are a strong candidate to be used in photovoltaic technology. The harmful cationic dyes present in industrial waste significantly decrease the effectiveness of remedy operations. Considering the horrendous impact of these dyes on the environment and biodiversity, silver bromide (AgBr) and chitosan (CS) doped copper ferrite (CuFe 2 O 4 ) nanostructures (NSs) were prepared by the co-precipitation route. In this work, The surface characteristics of CuFe 2 O 4 can be altered by CS, potentially enhancing its catalytic reaction compatibility. The functional groups in CS interact with the surface of CuFe 2 O 4 , influencing its catalytic behavior. AgBr can have an impact on the dynamics of charge carriers in the composite. Better charge separation and transfer which is essential for catalytic processes. The catalytic degradation of RhB was significantly enhanced (100 %) using 4 wt% of AgBr-doped CS-CuFe 2 O 4 catalysts in a basic medium. The significant inhibitory zones (9.25 to 17.95 mm) inhibitory in maximum doses were seen against Gram-positive bacteria (S. aureus). In this study, low-bandgap polymer poly{[4,4-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-cyclopenta-(2,1-b;3,4-b')dithiophen]-2,6-diyl-alt-(2,1,3-benzothiadiazole)-4,7-diyl} (PCPDTBT) nanostructures have been synthesized via a hard nanoporous alumina template of centrifugal process. Centrifuge has been used to infiltrate the PCPDTBT solution into the nanoporous alumina by varying the rotational speeds. The rotational speed of centrifuge is directly proportional to the infiltration force that penetrates into the nanochannels of the template. By varying the rotational speed of centrifuge, different types of PCPDTBT nanostructures are procured. Infiltration force created during the centrifugal process has been found a dominant factor in tuning the morphological, optical, and structural properties of PCPDTBT nanostructures. The field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images proved the formation of nanotubes and nanowires. The energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscope (EDX) analysis showed that the nanostructures were composed of PCPDTBT with complete dissolution of the template.

We provide compelling evidence that ring formation in solutions of thiol-passivated Au nanoparticles is driven by breath figure dynamics. A method for the controlled placement of rings of nanoparticles on a solid substrate, which exploits variations in substrate wettability to fix the positions of the submicrometer water droplets formed in the breath figure process, has been developed. This is achieved by heterogeneously patterning hydrogen-terminated silicon substrates with oxide regions that act as adsorption sites for the droplets. The droplets in turn template the formation of thiol-passivated Au nanoparticle rings during spin-casting from volatile solvents.
