Resumo O número de Indicações Geográficas (IG) reconhecidas por entidades governamentais ou privadas em países com economias emergentes tem aumentado muito. Este aumento é acompanhado por evidências de que proporção significativa de IGs não atinge os objetivos de contribuir para o desenvolvimento regional e local. Para que as IGs se tornem ativas no mercado, é necessário que as necessidades e expectativas dos grupos de partes interessadas, stakeholders, tenham suas necessidades e expectativas atendidas. Este artigo realiza revisão sistemática da literatura (RSL) para identificar os fatores que a pesquisa acadêmica aponta como causas do não desenvolvimento das IGs e os analisa sob a perspectiva da Teoria do Engajamento de Stakeholders. Realizamos análise de conteúdo de 29 artigos publicados entre 2017 e 2022 sobre fatores que limitam o desenvolvimento das IGs. A RSL identifica 13 fatores agrupados em três categorias como causas. A investigação contribui para a literatura sobre o desenvolvimento das IGs identificando fatores que limitam o seu desenvolvimento e analisando esses fatores na perspectiva do envolvimento dos stakeholders. Fornece uma base conceptual para diagnosticar as razões para o não envolvimento dos stakeholders nas IGs.

Abstract The toxic potential of dithiocarbamates fungicides widely used in world agriculture is well known, among which Mancozeb is one of the most used. This study aimed to evaluate the toxicity of Mancozeb, determining the LC50% of the product and the behavioral and histological changes observed in fish of the Pacamã species through acute and sublethal toxicity tests. The first experiment was carried out on Pacamã fingerlings exposed to dosages of 0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 8mg/L of Mancozeb under the form ManzateWG®, for a total period of 96 hours in the acute experiment, and in the second experiment, fish were subjected to concentrations of 1/10 of those used in the acute experiment (0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.8mg/L, respectively), for 15 days in total. The 50% lethal concentration of ManzateWG® was calculated at the end of the acute experiment, presenting a value of 2.29mg/L at 96h for Pacamã fingerlings. A behavioral assessment was carried out through daily observation of the fish during both experiments, and an increase in mucus production was observed, as well as atypical social behavior in those exposed to the toxic agent. Histopathological evaluation was performed on livers collected after the end of the sublethal experiment, and the main hepatic alterations observed were cytoplasmic vacuolization, inflammatory infiltrate, and necrosis. Mancozeb has toxic potential and is capable of generating behavioral changes, as well as increasing the risk of liver damage in Pacamãs exposed to this compound.

ABSTRACT Objective: Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a rare bone disorder that can involve any part of the skeleton, leading to bone pain, deformities, and fractures. Treatment with intravenous bisphosphonates has been used with variable results. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the effects of zoledronic acid (ZA) therapy in patients with monostotic or polyostotic FD. Subjects and methods: The medical records of thirteen patients with FD evaluated between 2015 and 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. In the subgroup of patients treated with ZA (n = 7), data on pain relief, changes in bone turnover markers (BTMs), and adverse events following ZA infusions were retrieved. Moreover, radiological changes in response to treatment were recorded in patients who underwent radiological follow-up. Results: Of the patients, 5 (38%) presented with monostotic whereas 8 (62%) had polyostotic FD. Bone pain was a common finding (69%), and most patients (62%) exhibited elevated baseline BTMs. Partial or complete pain relief was reported in 6 of 7 patients treated with ZA. BTMs, especially C-telopeptide of type I collagen (CTX), significantly decreased after therapy (change rate: −61.8% [IQR −71, −60%]), and median CTX levels were significantly lower than at baseline (0.296 ng/mL [0.216, 0.298] vs. 0.742 ng/mL [0.549, 0.907], respectively; P = 0.04). No radiological improvement was observed in cases with radiological follow-up (n = 3). No serious adverse effects of ZA were reported. Conclusion: ZA treatment was well tolerated and provided beneficial effects in relieving bone pain and reducing BTMs, especially CTX. Our data reinforce the role of ZA in the treatment of FD-related bone pain.

This study aimed to evaluate the acute and long-term exposure to different cupric sulfate pentahydrate (CuSO4.5H2O) concentrations in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Experiment 1 evaluated the LC50-96 h of juveniles at 12 different CuSO4.5H2O concentrations (0.00, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.6, 3.2, 6.4, 12.8, 25.6, 51.2, 102.4, and 204.8 mg L–1). In experiment 2, fish were exposed to four different sublethal cupric sulfate pentahydrate concentrations (0.0, 0.0069, 0.0696, and 0.6960 mg L–1) with evaluations on days 20 and 40. In the first experiment, the LC50 and safe concentration for 96 h were, respectively, 6.96 and 0.6960 mg CuSO4.5H2O L−1. In the second experiment, fish subjected to 0.6960 mg CuSO4.5H2O L–1 decreased growth performance and survival, altered hematological parameters, and had hepatic vacuolation and liver necrosis. In conclusion, we have found that to control the excessive algae growth, fish could tolerate a concentration of up to 0.0696 mg CuSO4.5H2O L−1 for 40 days. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate different feeding rates on the productive performance of cobia (Rachycentron canadum) grown in brackish waters. For the experiment, 1,600 juveniles were distributed in 16 enclosures installed in an estuarine pond. Four different feeding rates were evaluated: 1, 3, 5, and 7% live weight (LW) per day. The following performance parameters were assessed: survival, final biomass, specific growth rate, daily weight gain, apparent feed conversion, protein efficiency rate, lipid efficiency rate, and hepatosomatic index. Survival was greater than 80% at all feeding rates. The most efficient feed conversion rate was obtained with the feeding rate of 5% LW per day, which also resulted in better values for the hepatosomatic index. The rate of 5% LW per day provides a better productive performance for cobia in brackish waters.
