Re-positivity of SARS-CoV-2 tests is widely reported, raising discussion about guidance for patient discharge and ending isolation. The unsuccessful recovery of replication-competent virus and/or absence of secondary cases has suggested that re-positive patients are not contagious. This study reports SARS-CoV-2 re-positivity in a healthcare professional 16 days after three negative tests, with viral genome sequencing supporting contagiousness leading to secondary cases.

Due to the current trend to reduce fat consumption, the meat food industry, has been increasing the strategies to produce and commercialize products where the reduction or even elimination of saturated fat is an important goal. This study aimed to test different formulas to reduce the fat content and improve the lipid profile in the Portuguese fermented sausage alheira. Data indicate that the three composition formulas of alheiras tested are not a hypercaloric product and the fatty acid profile could be improved changing the sources of fat and specie of meat, particularly reducing the palmitic and stearic acids and the myristic acid contents and increasing the oleic, linoleic and palmitoleic acid contents. The industry could diversify its offer with two new composition formulas, a pork-free alheira, and oil-free alheira, reducing the fat content and improving the fatty acid profile.

Introdução: O treinamento físico hoje em dia, está se encaixando cada vez mais no jogo propriamente dito, para tal, utilizamos os jogos reduzidos para trabalharmos diversas capacidades físicas. Objetivo: Este estudo avaliou se através dos jogos reduzidos no futebol de campo, haveria um aumento na capacidade do organismo em absorver e transportar oxigênio para os músculos. Materiais e Métodos: Utilizamos 8 jogadores de futebol, categoria juvenil, eles foram submetidos ao teste para constatar o volume máximo de oxigênio individual, sendo que 6 jogadores repetiram o teste, utilizamos para aplicação do teste, pratos para circuito (half cone, chapéu Chinês), uma caixa amplificadora da marca ONER, modelo BLOCK 20TU, um net book marca e modelo AZUZ, canetas bic, lápis faber castell, folha de anotação do teste e áudio em mp3 da execução do teste e ainda uma trena profissional da marca Western de 5 metros, os dados foram coletados pelo técnico da equipe e pelo autor da pesquisa. A estatística utilizada foi a descritiva. Resultados: ficou constatado que houve uma evolução, do primeiro teste em relação ao segundo, variando apenas de acordo com os jogadores. Discussão: Os resultados mostraram que com o treinamento através de jogos, proporcionaram aos jogadores deslocamentos constantes, quando aumentado o grau de dificuldade, aumentou-se o estímulo que havia sido adaptado, gerando uma sobrecarga, isso faz com que os jogadores consigam aumentar a sua capacidade máxima de utilização do oxigênio. Conclusão: Houve um aumento tanto no consumo máximo de oxigênio, quanto na metragem percorrida. ABSTRACT Maximum oxygen consumption and games reduced in football Introduction: Physical training nowadays is increasingly engaging in the game itself, for this, we use reduced games to work various physical capabilities. Aim: This study evaluated whether reduced through the games in football field, there would be an increase in the body's ability to absorb and transport oxygen to the muscles. Materials and Methods: We used eight football players, youth category, they were tested for determination of the individual maximal oxygen uptake, and 6 players repeated the test, used to test application, dishes for circuit (half cone hat Chinese ), a box of brand ONER amplifier, model BLOCK 20TU a net book brand and model Azuz, bic pens, pencils faber castell, annotation sheet test and mp3 audio of the test run and also a tape of professional brand of Western 5 meters, data were collected by the team coach and the author of the research. The statistic used was descriptive. Results: It was found that there was an evolution of the first test against the second, varying only according to the players. Discussion: The results showed that with training through games, provided the players constant displacements, while increasing the degree of difficulty is increased by the stimulus that had been adapted, creating an overload that makes players able to increase their maximum capacity for oxygen utilization. Conclusion: There was an increase in both maximum oxygen consumption as the distance walked.

ABSTRACTBauru Basin (Upper Cretaceous) spans 190,000 km² in western segment, Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás states, Brazil. The Supersequence is a predominantly sandy siliciclastic unit. In Mato Grosso do Sul state a substantial portion of the sedimentary supersequence was considered indivisible. This research, based on regional field surveys, presents updates to the geological map, depositional model, and lithostratigraphic chart of the western Bauru Basin. In Mato Grosso do Sul, the Rio Paraná Formation was identified, directly overlaying the Serra Geral Group in the south/southwest, and the Botucatu Formation on north/central region. The Santo Anastácio Formation outcrop area was found to be smaller than previously mapped, showing lateral contacts with the Rio Paraná and Vale do Rio do Peixe formations. The Vale do Rio do Peixe Formation, conversely, now exhibits a larger mapped area. Additionally, the Marília Formation were discovered in São Gabriel do Oeste-MS, previously marked as detrital-lateritic cover.

Introdução: compreender o sentido e o significado de conforto para a pessoa em situação paliativa pode apresentar-se como um desafio para o enfermeiro na definição dos cuidados. Objetivo: mapear a evidência científica disponível sobre os cuidados de enfermagem que promovem o conforto na pessoa em situação paliativa. Materiais e método: revisão da literatura segundo as recomendações do Joanna Briggs Institute e do Prisma-ScR. Pesquisa completa nas bases de dados Medline Complete, Cinhal Complete, Scopus, Web of Science, Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal e OpenGrey. Incluídos estudos primários, com metodologia quantitativa, qualitativa ou métodos mistos, publicados entre janeiro de 2014 e março de 2023, em português, inglês ou espanhol. Sintaxe de pesquisa ajustada a cada base de dados. Combinação de MeSH, palavras de texto e de termos de indexação através dos operadores booleanos AND e OR. A truncadura* foi utilizada para potencializar a pesquisa. Resultados: identificaram-se 681 artigos, dos quais 239 eram duplicatas. Analisaram-se 442 estudos, excluindo-se 409 por não refletirem o tema. Recuperou-se o texto integral de 33 artigos, sendo que oito foram incluídos na revisão. Os cuidados de enfermagem promotores do conforto integram as dimensões física, psicoespiritual, ambiental e sociocultural. Destacam-se a implementação de medidas farmacológicas, o respeito pelas crenças religiosas e culturais, a facilitação da presença de familiares, a comunicação e a flexibilização das normas. Conclusões: a promoção do conforto para a pessoa em situação paliativa inclui o cuidado direto e o apoio à família. Da individualização dos cuidados e da resposta às necessidades específicas, pode resultar alívio, facilidade e transcendência.

Even though geoconservation has advanced significantly in the last few decades, general awareness of its importance is limited, especially in Brazil. Here, we present an overview of geoconservation actions and initiatives in the state of Paraná. We highlight geoscientific aspects since the 20th century, the installation of interpretative panels, and key findings from the inaugural geological heritage inventory for the state, the second in the country. We also present two examples of pioneering geoconservation and scientific communication initiatives: the creation of the Curitiba Sedimentary Basin geosite (a municipal conservation unit within the urban territory) and the Paleontology Museum of Cruzeiro do Oeste’s research station. Despite the concerted efforts of academic research groups, the state geological survey (Mineropar, now defunct) and the national geological survey (CPRM-SBG), current initiatives remain limited to academic research. Overall, there are not enough systematic public policies to protect the state and national geological heritage. Regrettably, geodiversity and geoconservation remain the least known components of the state's natural heritage. A long-standing concern has been the absence of geological content in the curriculum of the Brazilian basic education system. Overcoming this problem will require the incorporation of geology and geoconservation concepts into school curricula and educator training, and the effective communication of their significance to society at large.

Abstract The Bauru Supersequence comprises two chronocorrelates groups, namely, Caiuá and Bauru. While substantial efforts have been dedicated to detailed mapping in the eastern portion of the Bauru Basin, the western part, specifically the Caiuá Group, remains unresolved and undivided. The aim of this research was to characterize the occurrence area of the Rio Paraná Formation in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, which is located in the Midwest region of Brazil, as well as its lithostratigraphic characteristics, and the implications for a better understanding of the paleoclimate and paleogeography of that region during the Cretaceous. The Rio Paraná Formation is constituted by six lithofacies: sandstone with cross-stratification (Sct), sandstone with trough cross-stratification (Sct-t), sandstone with cross-stratification pebbles (Sctp), massive sandstone (Sm), massive sandstone with fragments of basalt (Smb), and sandy mudstone (Fme). It was possible to group three facies associations: large-size eolian dunes, interdunes, and sand sheet deposits. The direction of paleocurrent is southwest, which is similar to those previously recognized in the eastern part of the basin and chronocorrelates basins in Brazil. Based on the results obtained in this research, it was possible to provide evidence for the future paleogeographic reconstruction of the Late Cretaceous in South America.

Introdução: O conforto é sensível aos cuidados de enfermagem e resulta da satisfação da necessidade de alívio, tranquilidade e transcendência, nas dimensões física, psicoespiritual, social e ambiental. Objetivo: Mapear a evidência científica disponível sobre os cuidados de enfermagem que promovem o conforto na pessoa em situação paliativa. Critérios de inclusão: Estudos primários que relatem os cuidados de enfermagem na promoção do conforto à pessoa em situação paliativa. Métodos: Protocolo de scoping review segundo as recomendações do Joanna Briggs Institute. Estudos publicados e não publicados, com abordagem quantitativa, qualitativa ou de métodos mistos. Pesquisa completa nas bases de dados MEDLINE Complete, CINAHL Complete, Scopus, Web of Science, RCAAP e OpenGrey. Triagem dos estudos realizada pelo título e resumo, com posterior análise do texto integral por dois revisores independentes que farão a extração e categorização dos dados em função do conteúdo. Protocolo de pesquisa registado na Open Science Framework (DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/CN258). Conclusões: Espera-se contribuir para a clarificação de conceitos e para a definição de um quadro teórico que fundamente a intervenção de enfermagem na promoção do conforto à pessoa em situação paliativa. A Supersequência Bauru (Cenomaniano-Maastrichtiano) é representada no noroeste do Paraná, quase que exclusivamente, por duas formações do Grupo Caiuá: Rio Paraná e Goio Erê. As formações Santo Anastácio (Grupo Caiuá) e Vale do Rio do Peixe (Grupo Bauru) ali ocorrem em área relativamente menor. No estado, a supersequência corresponde a depósitos de trato de sistemas deposicionais eólicos, do antigo Deserto Caiuá. Apresenta-se aqui o traçado refinado do contato entre as formações Rio Paraná e Goio Erê, decorrente de contribuição dos autores ao novo mapa geológico do Paraná. O mapa foi elaborado pelo Serviço Geológico do Brasil (SGB-CPRM), em cooperação com a Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) e o Instituto Água e Terra. O artigo traz síntese da evolução do conhecimento e da cartografia da Supersequência Bauru, incluindo atualização cronoestratigráfica. Essa última feita com base em novos dados paleontológicos de vertebrados encontrados no noroeste do Paraná, palinológicos e geocronológicos absolutos de magmatismo alcalino contemporâneo à sedimentação; e correlações com a Bacia de Santos. Ao final é apresentado um roteiro de geossítios representativos das unidades litoestratigráficas, estruturas sedimentares e sítios paleontológicos relevantes.

The use of continuous fibers reinforced polymeric composites has increased substantially in the last year’s due to their high specific mechanical strength compared to other materials. Despite this property, this class of material is susceptible to low, medium, or high energy impacts, which can cause severe damage to composite laminates. One of the most serious damages is delamination, which can lead to partial or total rupture of the structure. In order to minimize this problem, several studies have been carried out in this area. In this context, this work aims to evaluate the influence of aramid reinforcement with bi-directional (2D) and tri-directional (3D) arrangements impregnated with two epoxy resins of different stiffness on the impact strength of composites submitted to the 340 J dart drop test. The impact results showed that the 2D composites had lower impact strength than the 3D ones, with the presence of perforations (when impregnated with the more rigid resin) and delaminations. Delaminations occurred regardless of the epoxy resin used in the impregnation. On the other hand, the 3D composites impregnated with the less rigid epoxy matrix absorbed more energy (3DF: 97.9%) with less deformation and no delamination compared to the 2D laminate (2DF: 96.1%) produced.
