ABSTRACT Objectives: to identify, in the scientific literature, the care that should be provided to individuals with drug-resistant tuberculosis by nurses in primary health care. Methods: integrative review, using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses study selection flowchart. Data collection was conducted in November 2022, across ten databases. Results: six studies emphasized that nurses should perform directly observed treatment; two highlighted the importance of integrated care management between tuberculosis and human immunodeficiency virus; two demonstrated comprehensive nursing consultation using the nursing process; one emphasized person-centered care, with discharge planning and improved hospital communication with primary health care services. Final Considerations: the care that nurses should provide to individuals with drug-resistant tuberculosis in primary health care, for care resolution, is evidence-based.

Objetivo: demonstrar as linhas de ações implementadas pelos gestores dos hospitais universitários federais a partir do plano de contingência da pandemia de COVID-19. Método: pesquisa descritiva, multicêntrica e com abordagem qualitativa, a partir de dezesseis entrevistas com gestores de oito hospitais universitários que participaram da construção dos planos de contingência. Para análise dos dados utilizou-se a análise temática de conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: no estudo surgiram seis categorias- Organização de unidades específicas de pacientes com COVID-19; Equipamentos de proteção individual e insumos; Educação permanente em saúde em relação a COVID-19; Aumento de leitos; Aumento e realocação de pessoal; Apoio em saúde mental aos profissionais da saúde. Conclusão: os hospitais universitários reorganizaram seus fluxos de atendimento, bem como mudanças estruturais, capacitações da equipe e acolhimento a saúde mental dos profissionais que estão na linha de frente com a finalidade de promover assistência segura e eficiente.

Resumo Objetivo Refletir acerca das inter-relações da Teoria Ambientalista de Florence Nightingale e a Teoria Ecossistêmica e suas influências no processo reparativo das enfermidades e na saúde/doença/cuidado do ser humano. Método Reflexão teórico-filosófica acerca das inter-relações da Teoria Ambientalista de Florence Nightingale e a Teoria Ecossistêmica, com base em autores que discutem essa temática. Resultados As duas teorias assemelham-se em relação à busca do autoconhecimento, auto-organização/autopoiese e da forma de visualizar os componentes da realidade no viver humano e suas interações com o ambiente. Ambas envolvem a totalidade dos organismos vivos e não vivos do ambiente, consideram que se inter-relacionam, influenciam, cooperam e interferem no viver humano. Conclusão e implicações para a prática As inter-relações das duas teorias possibilitam construir, de forma integral, conhecimento novo acerca do pensar, ver, sentir e agir do ser humano no universo e do cuidado de enfermagem, apreendendo, assim, a totalidade das necessidades, a integração e o equilíbrio dinâmico do ser e viver saudável.

ABSTRACT Objective: To develop a Web App from a predictive model to estimate the risk of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) admission for patients with covid-19. Methods: An applied technological production research was carried out with the development of Streamlit using Python, considering the decision tree model that presented the best performance (AUC 0.668). Results: Based on the variables associated with Precision Nursing, Streamlit stratifies patients admitted to clinical units who are most likely to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, serving as a decision-making support tool for healthcare professionals. Final considerations: The performance of the model may have been influenced by the start of vaccination during the data collection period, however, the Web App via Streamlit proved to be a feasible tool for presenting research results, due to the ease of understanding by nurses and its potential for supporting clinical decision-making.

ABSTRACT Objective: To develop a theoretical model for management of research groups in nursing graduate programs. Method: This is a Grounded Theory developed in a stricto sensu nursing graduate program of a public university. Data collection was conducted from April to October 2018 and the theoretical sample consisted of 21 participants arranged in three sample groups. Results: Research activities are linked to research groups, which require human, material and financial resources to develop their studies. These conditions call for management strategies and national and international interactions that result in theoretical, scientific and technological development of the profession. Final considerations: The theoretical model for management of research groups can serve as a guide for graduate programs in nursing and health for planning the work process and so that they can contribute with research of great impact for society.

ABSTRACT Objective: To reflect on the elements of nursing care management in radiological protection in interventional radiology. Methodology: A reflection paper based on national and international articles and laws addressing the nursing care management issue and radiological protection in interventional radiology. Results: From the conceptions of nursing care management and professional practice, the following elements were perceived in this management: expertise and applicability of the radiological protection principles, biological effects of ionizing radiation, occupational dose monitoring, personal and collective protective equipment, patient safety, training in radiological protection, quality assurance program. Conclusion: The management of nursing care in radiological protection in interventional radiology is implemented in an elementary way regarding care aimed at dose reduction, either for workers or patients. There is a need to recognize, understand and characterize the management of nursing care in this scenario.

Objetivo: descrever o processo de planejamento em centros de saúde com resultados contrastantes, segundo os indicadores de saúde. Método: estudo de casos múltiplos, composto por quatro casos. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre março e maio de 2017, em centros de saúde, mediante pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, entrevista semiestruturada e observação não participante. Participaram 25 sujeitos, coordenadores dos centros de saúde, profissionais de nível superior das equipes, apoiadores do distrito sanitário e um gestor da área de planejamento. Cada caso foi analisado individualmente, buscando similaridades e contrastes. As descobertas de todos os casos foram totalizadas e analisadas por meio de síntese cruzada dos casos. Resultados: falta de recursos humanos, problemas interpessoais e processos de trabalho individualizados foram problemas que dificultaram o alcance de melhores resultados. Considerações finais: o trabalho integrado e a comunicação entre os profissionais facilita o desenvolvimento do planejamento e auxilia o alcance de melhores resultados. Descritores: Gestão em Saúde. ABSTRACT Objective To understand entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education in the context of postgraduate nursing. Method Qualitative study based on Grounded Theory. The theoretical sample consisted of 15 master’s and doctoral students and seven professors from a postgraduate nursing program at a university in southern Brazil. Individual interviews were conducted between August/2018 and February/2019 in a location defined by the participants, in general the University. The data were collected and analyzed simultaneously by initial and focused coding. Results Three categories and 11 subcategories emerged that, interrelated, represented the phenomenon “Glimpsing entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education in postgraduate nursing”. Conclusion Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education, in the context of postgraduate nursing, were understood as incipient and promising processes. In this sense, it is necessary to intensify studies to demonstrate the entrepreneurial possibilities of the area.

ABSTRACT Objective: To implement and signify entrepreneurial interventions in Nursing, with a view to the social emancipation of women working in an Association of Recyclable Materials. Method: Action-research with an intervention process based on an action alluding to Mother’s Day, carried out in a pandemic period, with the participation of 28 women from a Recycling Association. Results: The reflexive thematic analysis, which enabled the systematic recording of ideas, insights and the meanings of the intervention, gave rise to two categories: From apparent isolation to professional reinvention and from invisibility to dignity and the feeling of social equality. Conclusion: The interventions carried out in an Association of Recyclable Materials in a pandemic period provided, for its female workers, a sense of life, survival, dignity and empowerment, when they expected little or nothing. Enabling a social identity for the women of a Recycling Association implies, in short, overcoming linear interventions focused on assistance.

ABSTRACT Objective: to describe the changes implemented in the work environment of nurses in university hospitals considering the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: this qualitative and descriptive research was developed from an online survey with 75 nurses from three Brazilian university hospitals. Data processing occurred through textual analysis with the aid of software IRAMUTEQ. Results: five semantic classes were obtained: Organization of units for exclusive care of patients with COVID-19; Adaptations in the use of personal protective equipment; Physical structure adaptation; Care flow institution; Increased number of beds and training courses. Final considerations: the results show the effort of healthcare and nursing professionals/managers in the development of structural adaptations and reorganizations of care processes, in the hospital context, to respond with quality and efficiency to the demands arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Objetivo: analisar as características desfavoráveis do ambiente de trabalho do enfermeiro no contexto hospitalar. Método: trata-se de uma pesquisa de método misto, com estratégia paralelo-convergente. Os dados quantitativos foram coletados com 106 enfermeiros de um Hospital Universitário do Sul do Brasil, por meio da utilização do Brazilian Nursing Work Index Revised e analisados mediante estatística descritiva. Para coleta dos dados qualitativos, realizaram-se 25 entrevistas semiestruturadas, as quais foram submetidas à análise temática. Resultados: as características desfavoráveis do trabalho do enfermeiro no ambiente hospitalar estão relacionadas, principalmente, ao quantitativo insuficiente de profissionais e falta de suporte organizacional. Sobressaíram-se dificuldades relacionadas ao uso de diagnósticos de enfermagem e falta de suporte de serviços de apoio. Conclusão: as dificuldades evidenciadas interferem na prática profissional do enfermeiro e podem também afetar o atendimento eficiente e seguro aos pacientes.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to identify undergraduate nursing students' entrepreneurial tendency at a public university. Methods: cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach, with 135 undergraduate nursing students from a public university in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data were collected using a socio-professional characterization form and a General measure of Enterprising Tendency test and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: among the five entrepreneurial tendencies, students presented results equal or above average in two dimensions: Drive and Determination (82.2%) and Need for Success (51.1%). The Creative tendency was the dimension with the highest percentage of participants below the average (68.9%). However, students in research or extension groups scored equal or above average in all five entrepreneurial tendencies. Conclusions: students showed low entrepreneurial tendencies, indicating the need for a broader approach to the subject in nursing education.

Objective: to analyze the managerial competences of researchers from research groups linked to a Graduate Program in Nursing. Method: a cross-sectional study with researchers from Nursing research groups, which analyzed the managerial competences by means of a Scale of Managerial Competences in Research Groups containing 50 items related to people management and research results (Factor 1) and resource provisioning and people management (Factor 2), with answers 4 and 5 considered as sufficient dexterity for each competence analyzed. For data analysis, logistic regression was used. Results: of the 219 participants evaluated, the prevalence was 48.86% of sufficient dexterity for factor 1 and 32.88% of sufficient dexterity for factor 2; with 41.21% of sufficient dexterity for Managerial Competences in research groups. A significant difference was identified in the proportions of the managerial competences for schooling, age group and performance in the group (p≤0.001). There were differences in mean age, time of experience with research and participation in the research group (p≤0.001), between the participants with sufficient and insufficient dexterity for the managerial competences. Conclusion: the results obtained in this study emphasize the potential of the research groups for the development of managerial competences of Nursing researchers, especially for people management.

RESUMO Este estudo tem o objetivo de refletir acerca do agir em saúde, a partir da articulação do Artigo 18 do Estatuto do Idoso com as atuais Políticas Públicas dirigidas à pessoa que envelhece em nosso país. Ressaltamos que o foco norteador da discussão centraliza-se na capacitação dos profissionais da saúde para o cuidado gerontogeriátrico. Tais profissionais são os responsáveis, direta e indiretamente, pela realização de um cuidado em saúde seguro, ético e com qualidade, sendo, portanto, agentes viabilizadores da efetivação das Políticas Públicas de Saúde dirigidas às pessoas idosas. É fundamental, também, o engajamento de toda a sociedade, com vistas à transformação da realidade dos idosos e humanização das relações entre viver e envelhecer. Assim, a reflexão sobre a questão do cuidado gerontogeriátrico, na perspectiva do Estatuto do Idoso, faz-se necessária na medida em que desvela perspectivas que se revestirão de cuidados seguros, éticos e com qualidade. Daí o grande desafio da equipe de saúde passa a ser a construção do cuidado integral, integrado e cidadão com a pessoa idosa; um novo modo de ser e agir em saúde vislumbrando a multidimensionalidade do ser que envelhece e do processo de envelhecimento humano.

ABSTRACT Objective: To understand the repercussions of the nurse’s clinical practice on Primary Health Care. Method: Qualitative research with the theoretical and methodological contribution of Grounded Theory. Data collection took place between May and October 2016 in Florianópolis’ Primary Care service. The theoretical sample was comprised of 18 nurses divided into two groups. Results: nurses’ clinical practice has repercussions on the consolidation of the trust bond between individuals, families and communities, by amplifying the problem-solving efficacy of the Primary Health Care professional’s clinical practice. This is due to the implementation of clinical nursing protocols, and also the use of the International Classification for Nursing Practice. Final considerations: Nurses’ clinical practice has positive repercussions on the health of Primary Health Care users.

Objetivo: Identificar o conhecimento científico produzido acerca da percepção das mulheres quanto à prática do aleitamento materno. Método: Revisão integrativa com busca dos artigos nas bases de dados MEDLINE, Pub/Med, LILACS, BDENF, PubMed Central: PMC e CINAHL, de 2008 a 2015, sendo selecionados 30 artigos. Resultados: Da análise emergiram as categorias: vantagens do aleitamento materno; mitos e tabus em torno da amamentação; sentimentos contraditórios ao amamentar; aspectos culturais; manejo da amamentação e recomendações para a prática. Conclusão: As percepções das mulheres em relação à amamentação, podem contribuir para a elaboração de recomendações com vistas a assistir a nutriz numa perspectiva que vai além da técnica respeitando os significados e práticas atribuídas à amamentação pelas mulheres. ABSTRACT Objective: To understand the meaning of entrepreneurial nursing care as inducer of healthy practices in vulnerable communities. Method: Grounded theory, whose data collection took place between March and December 2019, from interviews with 19 participants from the central region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and comparative data analysis. Results: The phenomenon was delimited: Experiencing small/big transformations in the invisibility of everyday life in promoting healthy practices in vulnerable communities. Conducted by the paradigmatic model, the categories were named based on the components: Condition: Making choices and negotiating non-negotiable exchanges; Action/interaction: Motivating oneself to maintain basic human needs; Consequence: Broadening perspectives and transcending personal and collective boundaries. Conclusion: Entrepreneurial nursing care as inducer of healthy practices in vulnerable communities is not reduced to a scientific theory or to the linear and decontextualized apprehension of healthy living, but extends to reach small/big transformations that occur in the invisibility of everyday life.

Resumo Objetivo este estudo teve como objetivo compreender como as Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação são utilizadas na gestão de grupos de pesquisa de enfermagem. Método trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa ancorada teórica e metodologicamente na Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (perspectiva straussiana), tendo como cenário de estudo 14 grupos de pesquisa vinculados a um Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem. A amostragem teórica do estudo foi composta por 21 pesquisadores. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas e analisados a partir do sistema de codificação. Resultados as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação são utilizadas pelos grupos de pesquisa para facilitar os processos de gestão e o desenvolvimento das pesquisas. Dividem-se em três funções principais: comunicação e armazenamento (Whatsapp® e e-mail), estratégias de visibilidade (site e mídias sociais) e estratégia operacional (software de análise de dados). Conclusão e implicações para a prática as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação constroem um elo entre a tecnologia e a construção do conhecimento científico, tecnológico e de inovação. Os Grupos de Pesquisa podem intensificar ainda mais o uso dessas ferramentas, tanto para recrutamento de amostra como para o desenvolvimento de redes colaborativas de pesquisa.

Objective: to understand how professional interaction takes place in the hospital organizational structure for the management of Permanent Education in Health, to guarantee patient safety and the quality of nursing care. Method: this is a qualitative study, which used the structuralist aspect of the Grounded Theory as a methodological framework. 27 interviewers participated in the study, who made up four sample groups. Results: six categories and 13 subcategories were presented, representing the studied phenomenon and highlighting particularities of the public health system and the influence of the manager’s support and management priority, the disposition of the organizational structure, the institutional culture, the external encouragement to institution, and the nurses’ initiative and leadership in the professional interaction for the management of the Permanent Education in Health, patient safety, and quality of care triad, revealing the need for cultural change through interdisciplinarity. Conclusion: the professional interaction in the hospital organizational structure requires the creation of new management models with an emphasis on more participative management, in order to improve the care processes in hospital institutions.

Aim: to understand how primary health care nurses experience the care of people with coronary artery disease in a longitudinal perspective. Method: qualitative study using semi-structured interviews to collect data and thematic analysis to handle them. It was attended by 16 nurses in the period between January and April 2016. Results: we raised the main category “Nurses’ role in consolidating longitudinal care for people with CAD”, underpinned by two subcategories addressing nurses’ actions and factors interfering with the follow-up of the person with coronary artery disease. Final considerations: the follow-up of people with coronary artery disease in primary health care is based on welcoming, follow-up and conscious referral to other services of the health care network, as well as the effective communication among services of different technological densities, which can significantly contribute to the continuity and longitudinality of care.

Abstract Objective: Understand limitations and possibilities in university management performed by nursing managers of the undergraduate nursing course of a public university. Method: A qualitative study with theoretical and methodological framework anchored in the Grounded Theory. Data collection took place between May and September 2016, and the studied scenario was the Nursing Department of a public university in southern Brazil. Results: The entrepreneurial profile and the leadership in interpersonal relations were highlighted among the possibilities, in addition to the co-responsibility in raising public resources to solve the university educational demands; as limitations, the scarcity of financial resources and the high demand for bureaucratic activities which have repercussions on the slowness of university public management processes. Conclusion: The nursing manager experiences limitations through their actions and interactions with people, and recognizes possibilities in the structure and processes of coordinating issues of collective interest in the university educational context.

Objetivo: identificar os níveis da síndrome de burnout entre enfermeiros de um hospital universitário. Método: estudo transversal, realizado em um hospital universitário da Região Sul do Brasil, com 106 enfermeiros. Os dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário composto por dois instrumentos autorrespondidos: ficha de caracterização pessoal e profissional e Inventário de Burnout de Maslach. Resultados: os enfermeiros participantes da pesquisa apresentaram níveis moderados de burnout para as três subescalas: exaustão emocional (21,9±5,0), despersonalização (8,1±2,6) e realização pessoal (30,4±3,2). Enfermeiros do centro cirúrgico apresentaram índice alto na subescala exaustão emocional. Conclusão: identificou-se um nível moderado de burnout entre os enfermeiros de um hospital universitário para as três subescalas – exaustão emocional, despersonalização e realização pessoal. Aim: to analyze the work environment of the nurse in medical and surgical clinic units. Method: mixed method research, with concomitant triangulation of data strategy. The quantitative data were collected with 27 nurses of a University Hospital of the South of Brazil, through the Brazilian Nursing Work Index Revised (B-NWI-R) and submitted to descriptive statistical analysis. Qualitative data were obtained from 14 interviews and treated using thematic analysis. Results: nurses have autonomy, a good relationship with physicians and an organizational support for nursing work. However, control over the environment is hampered by the lack of nursing staff and the assistance of support services. Conclusion: the study showed aspects that can improve the practice environment of nurses from medicalsurgical clinic units and contribute for the safety and quality of nursing care.

Objetivo analisar as características do ambiente de trabalho do enfermeiro em um serviço hospitalar de emergência.Métodos estudo de método misto com estratégia triangulação concomitante de dados de um estudo descrito-exploratório com 19 enfermeiros e uma Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados com três grupos amostrais, perfazendo 21 participantes. Os dados quantitativos foram coletados por meio do Brazilian Nursing Work Index Revised e submetidos à análise estatística descritiva. Os dados qualitativos foram obtidos a partir de entrevistas e analisados mediante codificação inicial e focalizada.Resultados os enfermeiros consideraram ter autonomia, boas relações com os médicos e suporte organizacional. No entanto, o controle sobre o ambiente mostrou-se como característica desfavorável. A partir dos resultados, apresenta-se a categoria: “Buscando organizar o ambiente de trabalho para uma demanda maior do que a capacidade de atendimento”. Conclusão as características do ambiente da emergência mostraram-se favoráveis ao trabalho do enfermeiro, exceto o controle sobre o ambiente.

Objective: to understand the obstacles to entrepreneurship in the public university management of nursing and the strategies to overcome them. Methods: it is a qualitative research with the theoretical-methodological contribution of Grounded Theory. Intensive interviews were conducted with 27 participants divided into three sample groups. Results: the obstacles to entrepreneurship in the university public nursing management are the bureaucratic management model, the lack of resources and infrastructure, the multiplicity of teaching activities, the lack of knowledge in entrepreneurship and university management and the difficulty in managing people. The strategies are the dissemination of entrepreneurship, the search for theoretical knowledge and the incentive to entrepreneurship in the academic community. Conclusion: the obstacles to entrepreneurship in the university public nursing management are organizational and personal and the strategies are education and dissemination of entrepreneurship.

Objective: to understand the actions and interactions performed by nurses in caring for patients and their family in the process of death and dying. Methods: a qualitative study implementing a theoretical and methodological contribution of Grounded Theory. An individual interview was conducted with 18 participants, divided into three sample groups. Results: weakness in nurses’ training regarding the death-dying process, the importance of the nurse-patient bond, family members support, and respect for the grieving process is apparent. As coping strategies, ongoing education, sharing experiences with peers and attachment to spiritual beliefs can be emphasized. Empathy appears as the main challenge, considering the influence of personal and bureaucratic factors. Conclusion: the way nurses respond to the challenges of their professional performance, seeking to build a bond with patients and families, supporting and respecting their process of mourning based on empathy stand out among the actions and interactions performed in care of the patient and family in the process of death and dying.

Objetivo: compreender como os enfermeiros significam o cuidado prestado ao paciente no processo de morte encefálica em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Método: pesquisa qualitativa com aporte teórico-metodológico na Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. A coleta de dados foi realizada em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva de um hospital no Sul do Brasil de setembro a novembro de 2014. Participaram do estudo 23 enfermeiros distribuídos em três grupos amostrais. A análise teve início com a codificação aberta, seguindo para a codificação axial e para a codificação seletiva, conforme a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. Resultados: emergiu da análise dos dados o fenômeno “Reconhecendo o trabalho multiprofissional como potencializador da doação de órgãos e tecidos para transplantes”, sustentado por cinco categorias. Conclusão: o cuidado prestado aos pacientes em processo de morte encefálica é significado pelos enfermeiros como gerador da oportunidade de uma nova vida aos múltiplos receptores.Descritores: Cuidados de Enfermagem. Objective: To analyze the context of marital violence experienced by women in legal proceedings. Methodology: This is a qualitative study based on the grounded theory, conducted with 29 women in legal proceedings for marital violence and nine professionals who work at two Courts for Peace at Home in Bahia, Brazil. Data collection was performed from January to May 2015. Results: Despite the Maria da Penha Law, the study shows that marital relationships of women are permeated by physical, sexual, psychological, moral and property abuse, with some of them being sent away from home.Conclusion: Marital violence contexts appear in different ways, which can be identified by health professionals, allowing women’s care actions to address the problem

RESUMO O objetivo do estudo foi compreender a gestão do cuidado na saúde mental sob a perspectiva da rede de atenção à saúde. Trata-se de estudo qualitativo que utilizou como referencial teórico a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (TFD). A amostra foi composta de 27 profissionais de saúde, distribuídos em três grupos amostrais. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizada a entrevista intensiva. Os dados coletados foram analisados por meio de codificação inicial e focalizada e foram organizados pelo software de análise qualitativa NVIVO®10, em que foram geradas três categorias e 11 subcategorias emergentes. Os resultados evidenciaram que a gestão do cuidado na saúde mental é permeada por dificuldades de comunicação e articulação entre os serviços que compõem a rede de atenção à saúde. Para que haja essa integração entre os serviços de saúde é preciso que os profissionais aprimorem seus conhecimentos na área de saúde mental e coloquem em prática o matriciamento.

Introdução: Objetivou-se compreender a gestão do cuidado à pessoa com estomia sob a perspectiva da rede de atenção à saúde (RAS). Materiais e Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa com referencial metodológico da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. Participaram 18 profissionais de saúde e gestores da RAS, em nível municipal e estadual. Foram compostos três grupos amostrais para a coleta de dados, realizada por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. Resultados: A análise resultou em 5 categorias, que integradas compuseram o modelo teórico “Emergindo a gestão do cuidado à pessoa com estomia sob a perspectiva da RAS”: Desvelando a gestão do cuidado à pessoa com estomia; Conhecendo a pessoa com estomia durante o período da graduação e por meio da prática profissional; Realizando o cuidado à pessoa com estomia como parte integrante do processo de trabalho na atenção primária e secundária em saúde; Realizando o cuidado à pessoa com estomia por meio da RAS; e Caracterizando o papel dos pontos de atenção em saúde no cuidado à pessoa com estomia. Discussão: A RAS deve possuir equipes capacitadas no cuidado à pessoa com estomia na atenção primária, e especializadas, na atenção secundária e terciária, que sejam referência. Uma rede se fortalece na diversidade de ações e serviços que a compõem, proporcionando a gestão do cuidado a qualquer condição de saúde, inclusive à pessoa com estomia. Conclusões: O modelo teórico formulado considera que uma RAS fortalecida em termos de diversidade de ações e serviços proporcionará uma melhor gestão do cuidado à pessoa com estomia. Aim: To present the factors that affect the management of nursing care to cancer patients in a general hospital located in Southern Brazil. Method: This is a qualitative study that used the Grounded Theory, with Strauss approach for data analysis. Fourteen participants have been interviewed through semi-structured interviews: six registered nurses, five nursing techinicians, one nutritionist, one psychologist and one person of patient’s Family, from August to October 2010. Results: As intervening factors, it was identified: management unit performed by nurses, cancer pain, the need for training, bonding with family, interpersonal relationships on the team, the non-specificity of the clinic, and the process of death. Conclusion: The general hospital professionals have difficulty in offering a specific and appropriate care to the cancer patient, reaffirming the importance of the support of continuing education, interdisciplinarity and job satisfaction.

Objetivo: conhecer estratégias utilizadas por pacientes e profissionais de saúde no processo de referência e contrarreferência do paciente com indicação e submetido a cirurgia de revascularização miocárdica na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS). Métodos: pesquisa qualitativa, ancorada na Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. Resultados:os achados foram organizados em duas categorias: percebendo a Regulação como estratégia na articulação entre os níveis de atenção no processo de referência; desvelando ações estratégicas no acompanhamento do paciente submetido à Cirurgia de Revascularização Miocárdica na APS. Conclusões: as estratégias, no processo de referência, foram o Sistema de Regulação Nacional e o Tratamento Fora do Domicilio; na contrarreferência, a atuação da família, a busca ativa dos indivíduos pelos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde e a criação de grupos terapêuticos na APS. Essas estratégias, ainda fragilizadas, necessitam de articulação entre gestores e profissionais.Descritores: Revascularização Miocárdica; Integralidade em Saúde; Referência e Consulta; Enfermeiros; Atenção Primária à Saúde.

Objective: to understand the meanings attributed by the nursing staff to permanent educational practices in a reference cardiovascular hospital. Methods: this is a qualitative study, which used the Grounded Theory in Data for collecting and analyzing data. The sample consisted of 22 nursing professionals. Results: the study presents two categories that highlight the need for further clarification of the nursing staff about the concept of permanent education in health, as well as reinforce the permanent education of nurses as a management practice which needs to be incorporated into other assignments in daily work. Conclusion: it is admitted the need to work the concepts of permanent education in health even in professional qualification, as well as place greater emphasis on managerial training of nurses, so they acquire the power to take their assignment as a nursing care manager and the nursing staff education contribute to the necessary changes in the health services.

El presente estudio tiene como fin presentar y discutir la interactividad sistémica entre los conceptos interdependientes de cuidadode enfermería en la perspectiva de los planteamientos teóricos de Edgar Morin. Se defiende que el conceptosistémico de cuidado deenfermeríapuede concebirse desde un concepto ampliado, antagónico, complementario, interdependiente y de dinamicidad interactivade procesos y contra-procesos de enfermería, salud, vivir sano, comunidad vulnerable y emprendimiento social de enfermería. La com-prensión ampliada e interdependiente de tales conceptos posibilita, en suma, trascender la linealidad del proceso salud-enfermedad ylograr resultados más efectivos de promoción y protección de la salud.

La finalidad fue comprender como los profesionales de enfermería y salud viven y significan las relaciones en el proceso de cuidado de “lo nosotros”, utilizando la Teoría Fundamentada en los Datos como método. Participaron 25 profesionales de enfermería y salud de un hospital universitario, distribuidos en cuatro grupos de muestreo. Los datos fueron recolectados mediante entrevista semiestructurada, en el período de marzo a julio del 2011. La contextualización de la institución y gestión forma el contexto, los movimientos de las relaciones/ interacciones humanas y la salud del profesional son condiciones causales, mientras el avance de la tecnología, el declive del cuidado humano y el vivir social son condiciones intervinientes. Las relaciones/interacciones humanas de cuidado procesadas son estrategias para que ocurra el cuidado de “lo nosotros” en la circularidad del proceso de cuidar y ser cuidado. En los movimientos y ondulaciones de los procesos de interacción humana, los profesionales construyen en su práctica el cuidado de “lo nosotros”, entendido como relacional y procesual.

Objective: to elaborate an interpretative model for the governance of professional nursing practice in a hospital setting. Method: a mixed methods study with concurrent triangulation strategy, using data from a cross-sectional study with 106 nurses and a Grounded Theory study with 63 participants. The quantitative data were collected through the Brazilian Nursing Work Index - Revised and underwent descriptive statistical analysis. Qualitative data were obtained from interviews and analyzed through initial, selective and focused coding. Results: based on the results obtained with the Brazilian Nursing Work Index - Revised, it is possible to state that nurses perceived that they had autonomy, control over the environment, good relationships with physicians and organizational support for nursing governance. The governance of the professional nursing practice is based on the management of nursing care and services carried out by the nurses. To perform these tasks, nurses aim to get around the constraints of the organizational support and develop management knowledge and skills. Conclusion: it is important to reorganize the structures and processes of nursing governance, especially the support provided by the organization for the management practices of nurses.

Objective.Understand the conditions involved in the management of nursing care in emergency care units. Methodology. Qualitative research using the methodological framework of the Grounded Theory. Data collection occurred from September 2011 to June 2012 through semi-structured interviews with 20 participants of the two emergency care units in the city of Florianopolis, Brazil. Results. Hindering factors to care management are: lack of experience and knowledge of professionals in emergency services; inadequate number of professionals; work overload of emergency care units in the urgent care network; difficulty in implementing nursing care systematization, and need for team meetings. Facilitating factors are: teamwork; importance of professionals; and confidence of the nursing technicians in the presence of the nurse. Conclusion. Whereas the hindering factors in care management are related to the organizational aspects of the emergency care units in the urgency care network, the facilitating ones include specific aspects of teamwork.

RESUMO Objetivo: conhecer as contribuições da Incubadora de Aprendizagem no processo de educação permanente em saúde. Método: pesquisa de caráter qualitativo, cujos dados foram coletados entre agosto e dezembro de 2014, pela técnica de grupo focal, com 34 colaboradores de um hospital de ensino da região central do Rio Grande do Sul que, a priori, participaram do processo de incubação. Resultados: dos dados codificados pela análise de conteúdo resultaram em três categorias temáticas: Incubadora de Aprendizagem - espaço de acolhida e integração; Ferramenta instigadora e ampliadora de possibilidades; Estratégia de educação continuada e permanente. Conclusão: a Incubadora de Aprendizagem constitui uma importante ferramenta indutora do empreendedorismo na enfermagem e na saúde, pela capacidade de repensar as práticas mecanizadas, pela contingência de instigar novos modos de ser e agir e pela possibilidade de criar e desenvolver novas idéias, alicerçadas nas necessidades individuais e institucionais.

RESUMO Objetivo: compreender as condições que levam os enfermeiros docentes de uma universidade pública a assumirem os cargos de gestão universitária. Método: pesquisa qualitativa com aporte teórico-metodológico na teoria fundamentada nos dados. O cenário do estudo foi uma universidade pública federal e a coleta de dados ocorreu entre maio e setembro de 2016, compondo a amostragem teórica 19 participantes distribuídos em dois grupos amostrais. Resultados: os dados evidenciaram que os docentes assumem cargos de gestão universitária por compromisso com o coletivo e por possuírem competências de gestão. Destacou-se a motivação dos docentes para assumirem esses cargos devido a experiências anteriores na gestão de universidades privadas e/ou serviços de saúde. Conclusão: os docentes de uma unidade universitária assumem cargos de gestão pelo compromisso com o coletivo e domínios, por experiências acumuladas.

RESUMO Objetivo Descrever a gestão do cuidado de uma pessoa acometida pela Doença de Devic no contexto da Atenção Primária à Saúde. Método Estudo de caso clínico-qualitativo pelo estado de saúde do paciente, em um Centro de Saúde do município de Florianópolis, com um paciente com Doença de Devic acompanhado pela Equipe de Saúde da Família. A coleta de dados ocorreu a partir de prontuário eletrônico, documentos de domínio do paciente, bem como de entrevista semiestruturada com o participante. Foram respeitados os aspectos éticos da pesquisa com seres humanos. Resultados As categorias foram definidas segundo critérios de relevância, buscando relatar o caso do estudo, apresentar o projeto terapêutico singular implementado e descrever a percepção do paciente sobre sua situação de saúde. Conclusão A acupuntura e auriculoterapia foram realizadas com êxito, evidenciando melhora no quadro álgico do paciente, o que pode contribuir para novas possibilidades de cuidados. Apesar disso, não foram utilizadas todas as ferramentas de cuidado disponíveis, visto a gama de terapias complementares de cuidados para além do enfoque medicamentoso.

RESUMO A Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados é um método de investigação qualitativa amplamente utilizado na Enfermagem e que, em função das diferentes vertentes, requer atenção especial na sua aplicação, considerando as diferentes abordagem e técnicas. Apresenta-se esta reflexão com o objetivo de discutir os principais pontos de divergência na utilização das diferentes vertentes da Teoria Fundamenta nos Dados na pesquisa em Enfermagem. Apesar das diferentes abordagens nas vertentes tradicional, relativista e construtivista, o estudo aprofundado e a execução cuidadosa necessitam ser encorajados por profissionais dessa área de atuação, visando à produção do conhecimento, com garantia de rigor metodológico e resultados de pesquisa qualificados para subsidiar e melhorar a prática profissional.

Resumo OBJETIVO Compreender os significados do cuidado ao paciente em morte encefálica potencial doador para enfermeiros, e construir um modelo teórico. MÉTODO Estudo qualitativo sustentado na Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados, realizado em dezembro/2010 a junho/2011, por meio de entrevista aberta com 12 enfermeiros de Hospital Universitário, distribuídos em três grupos amostrais. RESULTADOS O fenômeno Desvelando relações e interações múltiplas do enfermeiro na complexidade do cuidado ao paciente em morte encefálica potencial doador sustenta-se por cinco categorias e emerge pela necessidade de organização das práticas de cuidado no contexto da unidade de terapia intensiva, considerando as interveniências na relação entre enfermeiros, equipe e família e revela desafios para o enfermeiro diante da complexidade do processo de cuidar. CONCLUSÕES O significado do cuidado ao paciente em morte encefálica potencial doador está em entender sua complexidade para além de um ser morto, mas como gerador de vida por meio da doação de órgãos.

Objective: to examine and describe the relationship between nursing leadership and the quality of care in the hospital environment. Methods: this concurrent convergent mixed methods study incorporated cross-sectional correlational design and grounded theory. Data were collected among staff nurses at a hospital. Quantitative data were collected using the Brazilian Nursing Work Index-Revised/Leadership subscale with 105 nurses and analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. Qualitative data were collected through intensive interviews with 64 participants and analyzed by Charmaz’s method. Subsequently, results from both arms were integrated to generate mixed methods findings. Results: better nursing leadership resulted in better quality of care. Qualitative results supported quantitative results and showed that effective nursing leadership yielded quality of care through different processes: collaborating with nursing staff, encouraging patient advocacy, and enhancing care through research. Conclusion: through mixed methods, the findings can be generalized with a deeper understanding about the phenomenon. Implications are also discussed.

RESUMO Objetivo: compreender o contexto e as implicações das decisões colegiadas para a formação do enfermeiro. Método: teoria fundamentada nos dados, no período de janeiro a junho de 2012, em uma instituição pública de ensino superior no Sul do Brasil. Foram entrevistados 30 participantes. Resultados: a partir da análise emergiram duas categorias: contextualizando o cenário plural e diverso em que ocorrem as deliberações colegiadas e a atuação docente no colegiado do curso de Enfermagem: implicações no cenário acadêmico. Conclusão: concluiu-se que o contexto é marcado pela diversidade e complementaridade de oposições que são negociadas e dialogadas e como as decisões implicam o processo de formação do enfermeiro. Ainda, torna-se importante acompanhar as mudanças internas e externas ao cenário da gestão universitária, contemplando o compromisso social, a solidariedade, o diálogo, a democracia, as decisões e ações compartilhadas, assim como o conflito, o debate, o contraditório, a incerteza, o domínio, a ambiguidade e a complementaridade de opostos, sem reduzir, isolar ou fragmentar.

RESUMO Este artigo trata-se de promover reflexões acerca da gestão do cuidado integral de enfermagem sob a perspectiva do pensamento complexo. A partir da reflexão sobre o conceito da gerência do cuidado de enfermagem sob a perspectiva do pensamento complexo observou-se que a gerência do cuidado em enfermagem possui dois objetos principais: o cuidar e o administrar e seis dimensões. Os objetos relacionam-se de forma dialética, ou seja, influenciam-se mutuamente, mas não são a mesma coisa ou se excluem. Eles acontecem de forma integral e nos diferentes contextos de atuação da enfermagem. A partir de um novo pensamento sobre quais são as atribuições da enfermagem é possível aprimorar a prática e assim evidenciar a singularidade da atuação da enfermagem como profissão do cuidado.

Objective: Evaluate a mobile application for the prevention, identification and nursing care of septic patients. Method: Descriptive study that used the Product Development Process to develop the application. Six nurses from the Intensive Care Unit of a public hospital in Santa Catarina participated in the study. Data was collected through interviews from September 2016 to January 2017, and content analysis was used to analyze the data. Result: The SepsisCare application was developed at the Mobincube® platform, with 28 screens, which was considered a valuable resource in the care of patients with sepsis by the participants. Conclusion: It is believed that the development of this mobile application will facilitate the identification, prevention and management of sepsiscare and will contribute to the updating of these professionals, thus enabling safer and better quality care.

ABSTRACT Objective Comparing the working environment of nurse managers and nursing assistants in the hospital context. Method A mixed methods research with concomitant triangulation of data developed in a university hospital in the South of Brazil. Participants in the quantitative study were 94 nursing assistants and 12 nurse managers. The data were collected using the Brazilian Nursing Work Index − Revised (B-NWI-R) and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. Eight (8) nurse managers and 18 nursing assistants were interviewed for the qualitative study. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis. Results The total B-NWI-R mean score for nurse managers was 2.15±0.39, and for nursing assistants it was 2.22±0.39. No statistical significance was identified in the comparison between the groups (p=0.508). The qualitative results show the existence of collaborative relationships between nurse managers and nursing assistants. Conclusion The working environment was similarly evaluated by nurse managers and nursing assistants in the hospital context.

ABSTRACT Objective: to understand the meaning of the university management performed by nurses managers of the nursing undergraduate course of a public university. Method: this is a qualitative research, based on the grounded theory. Data collection took place between May and September 2016, with open interviews, in the scenario of a federal public university. The technique of constant comparative analysis of the data was followed, obtaining a theoretical sample with 19 nurses, in two sample groups. Results: there were three categories emerged that shaped the phenomenon: Articulating complex collectives through university management for the qualified training of new nurses. The categories included: a) conditions, defined by perceiving the commitment to the collective, previous experiences, and training for health management, as motivations to be a teacher manager; b) actions/interactions, delimited by Knowing and recognizing, in practice, the university management process, limits and possibilities in the coordination of complex collective subjects; and, c) consequences, such as Improving teaching work and taking responsibility for university education. Conclusion: the nurses teaching managers to explain university management as a set of individual and collective actions that, articulated in a complex social environment, promote conditions for the training of critical and reflexive nurses with the demands of society.
