Layered structure transition metal chalcogenide compound's such as Molybdenum sulfide (MoS2) deposition in micro/meso porous architecture of MnO2 could provide hybrid interesting features. Multivalent MnO2 is an attractive low cost and toxic free catalytic material for oxidation reaction and electrochemical applications. Non-ionic surfactant implication in mesoporous metal ion modified MnO2 by deposition of metal chalcogenide is an effective composite for dye degradation applications. The low-cost pre-cursor makes it attractive for large-scale production at industrial scale. Hence, in the present study deals with exploit the mechanism of metal chalcogenide and graphene oxide insertion in porous manganese oxide matrix. The as prepared l surface properties of the Nickel and cobalt doped manganese oxide/MoS2 composite catalyst have shown effective congo red dye degradation activity. Nanoparticles of powder molybdenum sulphide (MoS2) are deposited on reduced graphene oxide-mesoporous manganese oxide nanocomposite which is represented as MoSGMn were prepared by feasible ultrasonic assisted deposition technique. The above prepared nanocomposite is further coated on Nickel foam substrate for direct application towards supercapacitor electrode fabrication. The detailed studies of thermal property and surface property such as thermal stability, surface structure and zeta potential measurements have been explained for all prepared nanocomposite samples. The thermal stability of as prepared sample stable upto 350 oC in oxygen atmosphere and negative zeta potential obtained for all prepared nanocomposite sample. The different amount of MoS2 nanoparticle (10mg -100 mg range) was utilized to study the effect of molybdenum sulphide addition on major mesoporous manganese oxide matrix. Growing interest in the field of thermal energy conversion into useful electrical energy is the field of interest towards energy harvesting. Titania nanofluid prepared by low cost precursors using hydrothermal method. The physico chemical characterization of as prepared titania nanoparticle were characterized by XRD, Raman and UV-Visible spectrometric methods. The particle size measurement was determined via Zeta potential study. We have studied the miscibility and viscosity and sedimentation property of as prepared titanium dioxide nanofluid particles by low cost method in various mixed solvent medium. Nanofluids property with different concentration of TiO2 nanoparticles (0.01%, 0.02%, 0.04%, 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.5%) have been prepared by adding different concentrations and studied their physico-chemical properties. Anatase TiO2 and Co doped TiO2 were prepared through sol-gel method. Powder XRD pattern confirms the formation of crystalline anatase TiO2 and amorphous Co-TiO2. DR UV-Vis absorbance shows that band gap of TiO2 is reduced to ~ 2.0-2.5 eV upon Co doping suggesting that these materials can absorb in the visible range also. FT-IR spectra confirmed that the Co-TiO2 is similar to that of pure TiO2. Raman spectra exhibit all the bands corresponding to anatase TiO2. However, for Co-TiO2 the peaks corresponding to the presence of Co clusters also appeared. BET surface area of TiO2 is 82 m²g-1 and is reduced (60-45 m²g-1) upon Co doping. Nanosize (~20 nm) of the Co doped TiO2 was confirmed from Transmission electron (TE) micrograph studies. Zn1-xSrxAl2O4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.5) nanoparticles are successfully produced by combustion method. Powder XRD studies confirms the substitution of Sr2+ in ZnAl2O4 spinel nanostructure and average crystallite size lies between 32 to 39 nm. FTIR spectra revealed bands at 710 and 563 cm-1 corresponds to the intrinsic stretching vibrations of Mtetra-O atom which takes place at tetrahedral lattice sites and octahedral metal stretching Mtetra-O appears as peak positioned at 498 cm-1. HR-SEM images confirms spherical nanoparticles with agglomerated nature for strontium doped zinc aluminate nanoparticles. The presence of oxygen, aluminium, zinc and magnesium elements were confirmed from EDX spectra. The band gap of ZnAl2O4 was found to be 5.16 eV and the bandgap increases gradually with the increase in Sr2+ doping concentration. Heterostructure CeO2/CdS and CdS/CeO2 nanocomposites were synthesized by a facile 'one-pot' chemical method in ambient atmosphere and examined photocatalytic activity. The as-prepared nanocomposites were characterized using XRD, SEM, TEM, UV-vis, PL and TG-DTA. The obtained results reveal successful formation of CeO2/CdS and CdS/CeO2 nanocomposites. The TEM images show that well-dispersed particles were uniform and fairly small, mainly spherical-like shape. Enhanced photocatalytic degradation efficiency was observed for CdS/CeO2 composite exhibits 86%. This result suggested that the CdS/CeO2 composite significantly improve the photocatalytic efficiency due to reduction the recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs and creation of efficient free radicals.
