Abstract

Correlation of Serum levels of Chromium, Copper, and Manganese with the Glucose levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Ira Background: The metabolism of many trace elements such as chromium, copper, and manganese were reported to be altered in type 2 diabetes militates. This element may have specific roles in the pathogenesis and progress of this disease. Objectives: To evaluate the serum levels of copper, chromium, and manganese in type 2 diabetic patients in Iraq. Patients and Methods: This case-control study included 100 type 2 diabetic patients, 35-60 years old, with high BMI as cases, and 100 non-diabetic subjects as controls who were healthy volunteers not suffering from type 2 diabetes (staff and student). The data was collected from October 2022 until January 2023. The cases were seen in the Diabetes Consultation Unit / Baghdad Teaching Hospital / Medical City. Serum chromium, copper, and manganese were measured using atomic absorption. ELISA was used to test for insulin. spectrophotometry to measure glucose and HPLC was used to measure whole-blood HbA1c. Insulin resistance was calculated using the semi-empirical formula: HOMA-IR = glucose * insulin / 405 (glucose in mg/dl). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana daya kritis santri pesantren di Jawa Barat terhadap halal dan thoyyib pada makanan dan bagaimana respon santri pesantren di Jawa Barat terhadap makanan yang halal dan thoyyib. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dalam bentuk persentase. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi pendahuluan dengan melakukan observasi awal terhadap pesantren tempat penelitian dilaksanakan, sejauh mana materi pelajaran tentang halal dan thoyyib makanan yang sudah dipelajari serta untuk melakukan sampling objek yang akan diteliti. Penyebaran angket dilakukan pada santri pesantren dengan berisi pernyataan/pertanyaan mengenai indikator-indikator yang berhubungan dengan halal dan thoyyib produk makanan.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan data santri pesantren yang menjadi objek penelitian yaitu santri pesantren As Sunnah Cirebon, dimana sebagian besar santri sudah mengetahui jenis dan arti makanan halal dan thayyib. Pengetahuan santri akan makanan halal dan thayyib didapatkan dari bangku sekolah. Dengan dasar pengetahuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa santri mampu memilah makanan yang halal dan mengetahui makanan yang tahyyib bagi dirinya. Dengan tersedianya makanan halal disekitar pesantren juga memudahkan santri dalam mendapatkan makanan yang halal. Sedangkan untuk makanan yang thayyib santri harus mampu mengenali makanan apa saja yang baik bagi dirinya. Dengan melihat hasil responden yang masuk dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan hasil yang cukup baik, para santri bisa membedakan mana makanan yang halal dan tidak, serta mengetahui mana makanan yang termasuk kategori thayyib atau tidak bagi tubuh para santri.

3. Mapping of quantitative trait loci for agronomic and morpho‐physiological traits under drought environments in spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.).

Abstract

Barley production is severely affected by drought caused by the unpredictable Mediterranean weather patterns, which include uneven rainfall and extreme temperatures. This leads to a decrease in crop yield. However, to tackle this issue, landraces and wild species are crucial sources of variation for stress adaptive traits. By incorporating these traits into improved varieties, we may see an increase in yield and stability under drought conditions. Seventy‐six quantitative traits loci (QTLs) identified traits were mapped using recombinant inbred lines (RIL) population Arta × Harmal‐2//Esp/1808‐4L, evaluated at six dry and semi‐dry areas over 3 years. The study investigated traits such as grain yield, biological yield, harvest index, kernel weight, seed per head, days to heading, kernel filling duration, growth vigour, growth habit, lodging and plant height. Numerous QTLs were discovered that are associated with various phenotypic traits related to grain yield, kernel yield, duration of filling period and days to heading. For areas with less than 250 mm/annum of rainfall, QTLs were identified on chromosome 2H for biological yield, days to heading, and kernel weight, on 1H for harvest index, and on 2H, 4H, and 5H for kernel weight. For semi‐dry areas with rainfall less than 450 mm, QTLs were found on chromosome 6H for grain yield, 2H and 5H for kernel weight, 1H and 6H for seed per head, and 2H for days to heading. Notably, these QTLs significantly explain more than 10% of phenotypic variation. The 2H chromosome was found to have the most important QTL and pleiotropic effect for yield and its components, such as kernel weight, days to heading, and biological yield. The cross Arta/Harmal was adapted, and mechanisms were developed to cope with drought stress, reflected by the significant and positive correlation of biological yield and harvest index with grain yield. Chromosomes 1H, 2H, 4H and 5H harbour more than 60% of mapped QTLs for dry areas. It is worth noting that the QTLs mentioned earlier, along with the kernel weight QTLs (QKW 1.5, QKW2.7b, QKW4.1, QKW6.7, QKW6.9), have consistently exhibited positive effects on crop yield in semi‐dry and dry areas, making them potential candidates for breeding drought‐tolerant crops. Genomic co‐localisation of the QTL for Arta/Harmal population suggested that selection for drought through linked markers can be an option for drought tolerance selection for barley in dry areas. Abstract

The mental health of children and young people (CYP) has markedly declined in recent years, a trend significantly accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Accessing support for mental health issues is highly variable with long waiting lists for specialist child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and inconsistent provision of mental health support in schools and educational institutions, meaning that supply does not meet demand. There is a gap in support for CYP who need a greater level of support than is currently available in education settings, but do not require specialist mental health treatment (King’s Fund, 2024). Mental health issues may manifest as primary complaints in primary care settings or may be discovered incidentally during the evaluation of related physical or social problems. Consequently, it is imperative for general practice nurses (GPNs) to be able to recognise and accurately assess mental health issues that present to them. They should also be equipped to offer appropriate signposting, advice and guidance, as well as to facilitate necessary escalation or referral to specialist services when required. Abstract

Norrie disease is caused by mutation of the NDP gene, presenting as congenital blindness followed by later onset of hearing loss. Protecting patients from hearing loss is critical for maintaining their quality of life. This study aimed to understand the onset of pathology in cochlear structure and function. By investigating patients and juvenile Ndp-mutant mice, we elucidated the sequence of onset of physiological changes (in auditory brainstem responses, distortion product otoacoustic emissions, endocochlear potential, blood-labyrinth barrier integrity) and determined the cellular, histological, and ultrastructural events leading to hearing loss. We found that cochlear vascular pathology occurs earlier than previously reported and precedes sensorineural hearing loss. The work defines a disease mechanism whereby early malformation of the cochlear microvasculature precedes loss of vessel integrity and decline of endocochlear potential, leading to hearing loss and hair cell death while sparing spiral ganglion cells. This provides essential information on events defining the optimal therapeutic window and indicates that early intervention is needed. In an era of advancing gene therapy and small-molecule technologies, this study establishes Ndp-mutant mice as a platform to test such interventions and has important implications for understanding the progression of hearing loss in Norrie disease.

Abstract

Heading time in barley is considered a key developmental stage controlling adaptation to the environment and it affects grain yield; with the combination of agronomy (planting dates) and genetics being some of the determinants of adaptation to environmental conditions in order to escape late frost, heat, and terminal drought stresses. The objectives of this study are (i) to apply a gene-based characterization of 118 barley doubled haploid recombinants for vernalization, photoperiod, and earliness per se; (ii) use such information to quantify the optimal combination of genotype/sowing date that escapes extreme weather events; and (iii) how water and nitrogen management impact on grain yield. The doubled haploid barley genotypes with different allelic combinations for vernalization, photoperiod, and earliness per se were grown in eight locations across the Mediterranean basin. This information was linked with the crop growth model parameters. The photoperiod and earliness per se alleles modify the length of the phenological cycle, and this is more evident in combination with the recessive allele of the vernalization gene VRN-H2. In hot environments such as Algeria, Syria, and Jordan, early sowing dates (October 30 and December15) would be chosen to minimize the risk of exposing barley to heat stress. To maintain higher yields in the Mediterranean basin, barley breeding activities should focus on allelic combinations that have recessive VRN-H2 and EPS2 genes, since the risk of cold stress is much lower than the one represented by heat stress.

Abstract

When managing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients, radiological imaging complements clinical evaluation and laboratory parameters. We aimed to assess the sensitivity of chest radiography findings in detecting COVID-19, describe those findings, and assess the association of positive chest radiography findings with clinical and laboratory findings. A multicentre, cross-sectional study was conducted involving all primary health care corporation-registered patients (2485 patients) enrolled over a 1-month period during the peak of the 2020 pandemic wave in Qatar. These patients had reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction-confirmed COVID-19 and underwent chest radiography within 72 hours of the swab test. A positive result on reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was the gold standard for diagnosing COVID-19. The sensitivity of chest radiography was calculated. The airspace opacities were mostly distributed in the peripheral and lower lung zones, and most of the patients had bilateral involvement. Pleural effusion was detected in some cases. The risk of having positive chest X-ray findings increased with age, Southeast Asian nationality, fever, or a history of fever and diarrhoea. Patients with cardiac disease, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease were at a higher risk of having positive chest X-ray findings. There was a statistically significant increase in the mean serum albumin, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, and serum C-reactive protein, hepatic enzymes, and total bilirubin with an increase in the radiographic severity score.

Recent studies show that the cancer has several negative results. The anxiety, depression and disappointment are more common than the others. Hopefully thinking and cancer in two ways are related together. First the hopeful people use The problem-focused coping strategies more than the others and show less anxious and more agreement to diagnosis and treatment of cancer. So the goal of this survey is the effect of group hope therapy on reciliency of cancer patients. In this survey the Quasi-experiment and pre-test and pro test with control group is used. The society are all of the cancer patients who are coming to Kashan Imam Hassan institution and 16 of them are chose by available sampling and randomly put in two trial and control group. The trial group participated in nine group consultation sessions and the control group had no education. For toleration testing the Conroy Davidson questionnaire 2003 is used. Data are analysed by co variance analysis. The results show that the group hope therapy had a meaning full effect on toleration and the idea of personal competency, negative affection tolerance and acceptation of positive changing and spiritual control and affection s are affected the scales. Hope let people to have no stress and enable them to try to reach to their goals, the hope therapy try to enable people to have a view beyond the current situation and pain and suffering. So the toleration is not more than tolerance of the difficult situations and every things that make better the situation of cancer patients will increase the toreciliency.

Drought is one of the major abiotic stresses that severely limit barley production which is well adapted to drought conditions in the Mediterranean basin where the unpredictable climatic conditions, particularly rainfall, rainfall distribution and both high and low temperatures, may lead to dramatic decreases in yield. Landraces and wild species, represent an important source of variation for adaptive traits that may contribute to increased yield and yield stability under drought conditions. The study includes mapping of Quantitative QTLs for agronomical and morpho-physiological traits associated with drought tolerance. A total of 76 QTLs identified to 11 traits that describe grain yield, biological yield, harvest index, kernel weight, seed per head, days to heading, kernel filling duration, growth vigor, growth habit, lodging and plant height were mapped using RIL population Arta x Harmal-2//Esp/1808-4L which was evaluated at six dry and semi-dry areas over three years.The linkage map contained 254 markers (80 SSR, 174 AFLP) spanning 691cM. Eighty-Four markers’ loci (38 SSR and 46 AFLP) were used for QTLs mapping using the Simple Interval Mapping (SIM) and Simplified Composite Interval Mapping (sCIM). Abstract

Denne artikkelen undersøker prospektteoretiske implikasjoner i prisdannelsen på bruktbiler ved bruk av en hedonisk modell. Vi forsøker å replikere funnene til Prieto et al. (2014), som fant indikasjoner på asymmetriske og ikke-lineære effekter av årlig kjørelengde på prisen ved å bruke metoden foreslått av Betts & Taran (2007). Vi finner noen indikasjoner på lignende priskurvatur, men ender opp med å konkludere med at tilnærmingen brukt av Prieto et al. (2014) synes å være ute av stand til å hevde at individer bruker prospektteoretisk atferd når de kjøper bruktbiler. Hovedsakelig fordi å kjøpe en bil er en kompleks kjøpsbeslutning, med mange flere faktorer som spiller inn enn i klassiske prospektteoretiske artikler med eksperimenter utført i kontrollerte laboratorie-settinger. Det følger av dette at bruk av data på markedsnivå i stedet for valgdata på individnivå vanskelig-gjører det å etablere en årsakssammenheng mellom de observerte prismønstrene og individuelle valgkarakteristikker. Med hensyn til den generelle hedoniske modellen og andre prisuregelmessigheter, finner vi bevis for at folk ikke priser alder på biler med en høyere oppløsning enn år. Vi finner heller ikke bevis for et markant prisfall når biler har krysset 100.000 kilometer, som Kooreman & Han (2006) fant i Nederland. This paper investigates prospect theoretic implications in the price formation of used cars using a hedonic model. We attempt to replicate the findings of Prieto et al (2014), which found indications of asymmetric and nonlinear effects of annual mileage on price using the method proposed by Betts & Taran (2007). We find some indications of similar pricing curvature but end up concluding that the approach used by Prieto et al. (2014) seems unable to assert that individuals employ prospect theoretic behavior when buying used cars. Mainly because buying a car is a complex purchasing decision, with more factors at play than in classical laboratory prospect theoretic articles. It follows from this that using market level data instead of individual level choice data hinders establishing a causal connection between the observed pricing patterns and individual choice characteristics. With respect to the general hedonic model and other pricing irregularities, we find evidence for people not pricing age in a higher fidelity than years. Also, we do not find evidence for a marked price drop when cars have crossed 100.000 kilometers, that Kooreman & Han (2006) found in the Netherlands.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the value of local wisdom contained in the novel Mata and Man Laut by Okky Madasari. The type of research used is qualitative research with library techniques. The subject of this research is the novel Mata and Laut Man. Data collection uses content analysis techniques by reading and taking notes. The results of this study indicate that the novel Mata and Man Laut contains the values of local wisdom. So that this research is in accordance with the objectives of education in Indonesia regarding the introduction of cultural diversity and Indonesian society.

Abstract

Aims The aim of this study was to determine the contemporary use of reperfusion therapy in the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) member and affiliated countries and adherence to ESC clinical practice guidelines in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods and results Prospective cohort (EURObservational Research Programme STEMI Registry) of hospitalized STEMI patients with symptom onset Conclusions The use of reperfusion therapy for STEMI in the ESC member and affiliated countries was high. Primary PCI was the most frequently used treatment and associated total in-hospital mortality was below 5%. However, there was geographic variation in the use of primary PCI, which was associated with differences in in-hospital mortality.

Abstract

Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between serum levels of ovarian and gonadotropin hormones, age and number of follicles with follicular alkaline and acid phosphatase activity in infertile women under controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. Methods: After collection of follicular fluid and calculation of the number of follicles, the specific activity of alkaline (ALP) and acid phosphatase (ACP) was determined according to the total protein in 19 women at the time of puncture. Also at that time, the levels of progesterone, estradiol, and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and leuteinizing hormone (LH) of their sera were measured. The correlation of follicular ALP and ACP with each serum hormone levels, women age and number of follicles was calculated using non-parametric analysis. Results: The ALP has a correlation with progesterone (P=0.01) levels but doesn’t have any correlation with the other factors. However, the ACP activity has a correlation not only with follicular number but also with estradiol and progesterone levels (P=0.05). Conclusion: Thus ACP activity is more affected by ovarian hormone than ALP and it can affect the ovarian microenvironment and oocyte development.

Abstract

Due to the rapid expansion of irrigated agriculture, effi cient use of the limited water resources in arid and semi-arid regions is becoming more and more vital. However, water salinity is a major problem due to its negative infl uence on the yields of many crops. It reduces citrus trees’ growth and causes physiological disorders. Primarily salt-stress lowers net CO2 assimilation, stomatal conductance, and water potential of citrus tree leaves, in addition to accumulation of excessive concentration of Chloride or Sodium in leaves. A great deal of research indicates that citrus have the genetic potential to be salt-sensitive; however inheritance studies in citrus are scarce. In this paper the adverse of effects of salinity on physiological aspects of citrus are reviewed. The review summarizes the prevailing state of knowledge about the responses and tolerance of citrus trees to salinity.

Abstract

Background Palliative care (PC) is being increasingly recognized for benefitting patients with a wide spectrum of chronic serious medical conditions. Methods Care models and principles of PC for patient with inflammatory bowel disease were explored. Results The use of a structured and systematic approach for emotionally laden conversations and the “Total Pain” paradigm are examples of PC expertise that can be applied through either primary or consultative PC models. Conclusions PC should be considered in clinical practice and as a topic for further scholarly investigation to further define its role and benefits.

Abstract

Rationale and Objectives Efficiency is central to current radiology practice. Knowledge of report generation timing is essential for workload optimization and departmental staffing decisions. Yet little research evaluates the distribution of activities performed by neuroradiologists in daily work. Materials and Methods This observational study tracked radiologists interpreting 358 brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in an academic practice over 9 months. We measured the total duration from study opening to report signing and times for five activities performed during this period: image viewing, report transcription, obtaining clinical data, education, and other. Attendings, fellows, and residents reading studies independently and attendings over-reading trainee-previewed studies were observed. Results Ten attendings, 12 fellows, and 13 residents spent a mean of 11, 18, and 16 minutes reading brain MRIs independently. Mean duration was significantly different comparing attendings in all assignments to fellows (18.36 ± 1.05 minutes, p = 0.0001) or residents (16.31 ± 1.11 minutes, p = 0.001) but not between fellows/residents. Mean duration among attendings reading independently versus over-reading trainees was not statistically different. Attendings spent the same time on image viewing (4.07–5.33 minutes) with or without trainees. Attending transcription time was shortest when over-reading trainees (2.24 minutes) and longest when reading independently (4.20 minutes), demonstrating benefit of the draft report. Fellows and Residents spent longer on image viewing (7.14 minutes and 8.06 minutes, respectively) and transcription (7.02 minutes and 5.40 minutes, respectively) than attendings reading independently. Conclusion Neuroradiologist time/activity distributions for reading brain MRI studies were measured, setting the stage to establish a benchmark for future reference and suggesting opportunities for greater efficiency. Furthermore, report production time can be decreased when a draft report is available.

Abstract

Recent reports suggest a quorum of T cells is required to activate T lymphocytes and that this requirement may help explain why scarce lymphocytes, specific for peripheral self-antigen, are rarely activated by Ag. This proposal runs counter to the commonly held framework that the Ag-dependent, but CD4 T lymphocyte–independent, activation of CD8 T lymphocytes, and the activation of CD4 T lymphocytes themselves, can occur when a single CD8 or CD4 T lymphocyte encounters Ag under appropriately dangerous circumstances. We argue that a review of older literature often ignored, as well as of contemporary studies, supports the quorum concept and is difficult to reconcile with the Danger Model.

Abstract

Norrie disease is caused by mutation of the NDP gene, presenting as congenital blindness followed by later onset of hearing loss. Protecting patients from hearing loss is critical for maintaining their quality of life. This study aimed to understand the onset of pathology in cochlear structure and function. By investigating patients and juvenile Ndp-mutant mice, we elucidated the sequence of onset of physiological changes (in auditory brainstem responses, distortion product otoacoustic emissions, endocochlear potential, blood-labyrinth barrier integrity) and determined the cellular, histological, and ultrastructural events leading to hearing loss. We found that cochlear vascular pathology occurs earlier than previously reported and precedes sensorineural hearing loss. The work defines a disease mechanism whereby early malformation of the cochlear microvasculature precedes loss of vessel integrity and decline of endocochlear potential, leading to hearing loss and hair cell death while sparing spiral ganglion cells. This provides essential information on events defining the optimal therapeutic window and indicates that early intervention is needed. In an era of advancing gene therapy and small-molecule technologies, this study establishes Ndp-mutant mice as a platform to test such interventions and has important implications for understanding the progression of hearing loss in Norrie disease., JCI Insight, 7 (3), ISSN:2379-3708

Abstract

When managing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients, radiological imaging complements clinical evaluation and laboratory parameters. We aimed to assess the sensitivity of chest radiography findings in detecting COVID-19, describe those findings, and assess the association of positive chest radiography findings with clinical and laboratory findings. A multicentre, cross-sectional study was conducted involving all primary health care corporation-registered patients (2485 patients) enrolled over a 1-month period during the peak of the 2020 pandemic wave in Qatar. These patients had reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction-confirmed COVID-19 and underwent chest radiography within 72 hours of the swab test. A positive result on reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was the gold standard for diagnosing COVID-19. The sensitivity of chest radiography was calculated. The airspace opacities were mostly distributed in the peripheral and lower lung zones, and most of the patients had bilateral involvement. Pleural effusion was detected in some cases. The risk of having positive chest X-ray findings increased with age, Southeast Asian nationality, fever, or a history of fever and diarrhoea. Patients with cardiac disease, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease were at a higher risk of having positive chest X-ray findings. There was a statistically significant increase in the mean serum albumin, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, and serum C-reactive protein, hepatic enzymes, and total bilirubin with an increase in the radiographic severity score.

Abstract

In spite of, several mathematical approaches of the Lorenz solver system have been declared, fast and effective approaches has always been the direction in which scientists are trying to achieve. Based on this challenge, this paper initiates to boost the processing of Lorenz ordinary differential equations (ODE) system by applied hardware accelerator to take advantage of parallel architecture. A chaotic solution is found for various parameters and primary conditions. Specifically, Lorenz attractor was a group of chaotic outputs of the Lorenz equation. The 3D plotted the shape of Lorenz attractor was like “‘butterfly wings” which depend on initial conditions of the nonlinear system. Lorenz has more application in the real world as in biomechanical, physical, Control systems. As noted earlier, the Lorenz system is a scheme of ordinary differential equations exhibiting chaotic behavior for certain parameter values and initial conditions. The result presents the different Lorenz waveform of various parameter values to calculate the time of execution for each case study on a different platform.

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى مستوى تطبيق منهاج التربية الرياضية المطور القائمة على الاقتصاد المعرفي، وهل يختلف مستوى التطبيق باختلاف الجنس والمؤهل العلمي، و تكون مجتمع الدراسة من (158) معلم ومعلمة، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (40) معلما ومعلمة تربية رياضية من مديرية تربية عجلون تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العمدية، واستخدم المنهج الوصفي، وتم استخدام أداة تكونت من (40) فقرة توزعت على مجالات (استراتيجيات التقويم، والنتاجات، والمهارات الحياتية، والاقتصاد المعرفي، وتكنولوجيا المعلومات). وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن درجة التطبيق كما يقدرها معلمي التربية الرياضية في مستوى تطبيق منهاج التربية الرياضية المطور القائمة على الاقتصاد المعرفي جاءت بدرجة متوسطة بكل المجالات، بالرغم من التباين في تطبيق بعض المجالات، وقد يعود سبب التباين القليل بين المجالات إلى اتجاهات سلبية نحو هذا المنهاج المطور. كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة إلى انه لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (≥a 0.05) في كافة المجالات تعزى لمتغير الجنس، اي أن المعلمين والمعلمات يطبقون المنهاج على حد سواء. أما فيما يتعلق بمتغير المؤهل العلمي فقد اشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في المجالات التالية (استراتيجيات التقويم، والمهارات الحياتية، وتكنولوجيا المعلومات) تعزى لمتغير المؤهل العلمي. ويوصي الباحثون بإعادة النظر في آلية تطبيق منهاج التربية الرياضية المطور القائمة على الاقتصاد المعرفي. الكلمات المفتاحية: تطبيق المنهاج، منهاج التربية الرياضية، الاقتصاد المعرفي.

هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن دقة تقدير معلمة صعوبة الفقرة للنموذج أحادي المعلمة باستخدام طريقة المزاوجة في ضوء تغير حجم العينة وطول الاختبار. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة، تم توليد بيانات ثنائية الاستجابة لأربعة مستويات من طول الاختبار (20، 30، 40، 70) فقرة، وخمسة مستويات من حجم العينة (50، 100، 250، 500، 1000) مفحوص باستخدام دالة simra الموجودة في حزمة المزاوجة، وذلك بتحديد مستوى قدرة المفحوصين وصعوبة الفقرات بحيث تكون بين (-3، 3) موزعة توزيعاً طبيعياً بوسط حسابي 0 وانحراف معياري 1. استخدمت برمجية لغة R (Version R3.6.3)؛ لتقدير معلمة الصعوبة للفقرات باستخدام طريقة المزاوجة، وتقدير القدرة باستخدام طريقة الأرجحية الموزونة. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية عند مستوى الدلالةα =0.05 بين الأخطاء المعيارية لتقديرات معلمة الصعوبة تعزى لمتغير حجم العينة ولصالح حجم العينة 1000 مفحوص. وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية عند مستوى الدلالة α=0.05 بين الأخطاء المعيارية لتقديرات معلمة القدرة تعزى لمتغير حجم العينة وطول الاختبار والتفاعل بينهما. وأوصت الدراسة بإجراء دراسات تقارن بها بين طريقة الأرجحية العظمى وطريقة بييز وطريقة المزاوجة في دقة تقدير معالم الفقرة. الكلمات المفتاحية: طريقة المزاوجة، نظرية استجابة الفقرة، طول الاختبار، حجم العينة.

Abstract

In spite of, several mathematical approaches of the Lorenz solver system have been declared, fast and effective approaches has always been the direction in which scientists are trying to achieve. Based on this challenge, this paper initiates to boost the processing of Lorenz ordinary differential equations (ODE) system by applied hardware accelerator to take advantage of parallel architecture. A chaotic solution is found for various parameters and primary conditions. Specifically, Lorenz attractor was a group of chaotic outputs of the Lorenz equation. The 3D plotted the shape of Lorenz attractor was like “‘butterfly wings” which depend on initial conditions of the nonlinear system. Lorenz has more application in the real world as in biomechanical, physical, Control systems. As noted earlier, the Lorenz system is a scheme of ordinary differential equations exhibiting chaotic behavior for certain parameter values and initial conditions. The result presents the different Lorenz waveform of various parameter values to calculate the time of execution for each case study on a different platform.

Abstract

In barley, the transition from the vegetative to reproductive phase is complex and under the control of photoperiodic and temperature conditions. One major gene involved isPPD-H1, aPSEUDO-RESPONSE REGULATOR 7(PRR7) that encodes a component of the circadian clock. Mutation atPPD-H1resulted in the photoperiod non-responsiveppd-H1alleles that are beneficial under high latitudinal environments as they allow vegetative growth during the long-day summer conditions whereby higher yields are harvested by farmers. Utilizing a diverse GWAS panel of world-wide origin and a genome-wide gene-based set of 50K SNP markers, a strong association of days to heading with thePPD-H1gene was detected in multi-location field trials. Re-sequencing of the gene spanning putative causative SNPs, SNP22 (Turner et al. 2005) and SNP48 (Jones et al. 2008), detected recombination between the two, previously reported to be in complete LD. Phenotyping of the recombinants and phylogenetic relationships among haplotypes supported the original conclusion of Turner et al. (2005) that SNP22, present in the CCT domain, is the most likely causative SNP. To infer the origin of non-responsiveness, thePPD-H1gene was re-sequenced in a geo-referenced collection of 2057 wild and domesticated barleys and compared with the allelic status of the 6000-year-old barley sample from the Yoram cave in the Masada cliff. A monophyletic and post-domestication origin in the Fertile Crescent was found in contrast to the pre-domestication origin proposed by Jones et al. (2008). We show that the photoperiod non-responsiveness originated from Desert type wild barley in the Southern Levant.
