The COVID 19 pandemic has caused havoc on people's lives, work situations, and general well-being. Not just on an individual's health, but also on the health of an organization, the pandemic's immense impact has been gloomy and horric. Furthermore, due to long hours and minimal vacation time during the epidemic, hospital personnel, who were the most likely to infect COVID 19, began to lose faith in their employment. Employees were also vulnerable to mental stress as a result of the anxiety that comes with a variety of situations, such as illness, layoffs, and business closures. This article examines the value of employee participation by concentrating on new ideas, challenges, and solutions. It was based on ve HR healthcare professionals from ve multidisciplinary speciality hospitals in Chennai and Trichy who were interviewed over the phone. The results of interviews with healthcare HR professionals revealed that employee engagement is favourably and consistently linked to various organizational outcomes.

Cereal and pulse combination is considered as the staple food in the diet pattern, whereas refined or processed food consumption plays an important role in the occurrence of chronic lifestyle-related diseases. Cake is a sweet baked food made from refined flour and sugar, egg and fat. Consumers are gaining awareness about the importance of consuming healthy and wholesome foods. Hence, there is a felt need to develop plant-based, gluten-free and lactose-free cupcakes incorporating indigenous kattuyanam rice by completely replacing refined flour. Brown rice (Oryza sativa L.), also recognized as Kattuyanam rice is one of the traditional coloured rice variety which has immense nutrient potentials and improves human health. The present study was intended to formulate a plant-based cupcake that is rich in protein, fibre and calcium. The study also aimed at evaluating its nutritional composition, calculate its cost, and to assess the level of acceptability by subjecting to organoleptic evaluation. The plant-based cupcakes were formulated in three different ratios using each pulse variety and with kattuyanam rice. The two varied pulses used were horse gram dhal [A KHC (50:10), B KHC (40:20), C KHC (30:30)] and green gram dhal [D KGC (50:10), E KGC (40:20), F KGC (30:30)], the cakes were formulated and standardized without the addition of any artificial preservatives. Sensory evaluation of the cupcakes was carried out by a panel comprising of twenty members and the nine-point hedonic scale was used. The results of the sensory evaluation revealed that the kattuyanam rice cupcakes formulated in the ratio 30:30 [C KHC and F KGC] from both the variations had maximum overall acceptability score, these were subjected for further analysis. Results of the nutrient analysis revealed that the cupcakes were rich sources of protein, fibre and iron. The cupcakes were priced at twelve rupees per piece, making it economical. The formulated kattuyanam rice cupcake can be considered a viable solution for people with celiac, lactose intolerance patients, and the population adopting a vegan lifestyle.

The nanomaterials and nanoparticles are called as a wonder of the modern medicine. The zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnoNPs) have also used as the antimicrobial applications (the disease causing microbes isolated from different clinical samples and plant disease samples), agriculture, and anticancer therapy. The production of ZnO NPs increased day by day and increased the applications in exposure to humans and animals. The main aim of this present study is to observe the enhanced antibacterial activity of Maranta arundinacearoot mediated zinc oxide nanoparticles. The Zinc Oxide nanoparticles is synthesized using Maranta arundinacea root and the enhanced antimicrobial activity was checked with the addition of antibiotics. The root extract of Maranta arundinaceareact with zinc sulphate solution and forms zinc oxide nanoparticles. The nanoparticles formation was preliminarily confirmed using visual observation and followed by UV-vis spectroscopic analysis. In this study, we found that the zone of inhibition is well seen in oral pathogens such asLactobacillussp and Streptococcus mutants, the values are found to be increased as the zone of inhibition increases. Based on our results the arrow root mediated zinc oxide nanoparticles are the better drug of choice for the control of S. mutans a major causative agent in the oral diseases.

Fake news is exponentially grown due to the popularity and ease of putting forward our thoughts and opinion. This easily can be believed by a big mass of people and circulating the same causes chaos and unwanted disputes. With fierce competition in news outlets and social media, it has become a threat to consumers. For months, the Corona virus and its associated impact has given rise to many fake news worldwide, including India. During the initial stages of the corona, fake news particularly on social media was spread recklessly. Contents and news about the origin, cause, symptoms, and cure and conspiracy theories about the virus were on the feed. This brings in the need to help the masses to be able to not fall prey to this fake or biased news using ML algorithms. Classical swine fever (CSF) is an economically important pig disease affecting rural pig farming and vaccines are not freely available for control. In the present study an Indian isolate of CSF virus was passaged 75 times in PK-15 cells. At different passages, presence of virus was confirmed by Fluorescent Antibody Virus Neutralization (FAVN) test and Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) for NS5B, E2 and 5-UTR genes. TCID50 titers were found to range between 4.00 and 8.97 at 10th and 75th passages respectively. Back passage and pathogenicity studies in susceptible pigs, the natural host, indicated that the virus was found to be attenuated following PK-15 passages and did not produce any clinical signs after 45th and 75th passages.

This work proposes to tackle the problem of heavy metal contamination of water, using adsorption phenomenon. We have tried to enhance the adsorptive cadmium uptake capacity of activated carbon by modifying its surface with the surfactant - Alpha olefin sulfonate. The effect of contact time and the initial concentration on the adsorption process has been determined. Study of the cadmium uptake by both the unmodified and surfactant modified carbon, with the adsorption data fitted to adsorption isotherms, showed the cadmium uptake capacity of the surfactant modified activated carbon to have enhanced two-fold over the unmodified activated carbon.

The concept of electric vehicles is not new to us, the 1st documented electric vehicle was in the late 1890s, electric vehicles were far forgotten and suppressed for so long because of the domination of conventional vehicles in the commercial market. Conventional vehicles are fuelled by petroleum products which are non-renewable and not much environment friendly. We have reached a situation where we cannot depend on these fast depleting non-renewable sources of energy for better future. Hence, we are in need to develop and utilize the renewable sources of energy that are less/non-polluting and does not get depleted. Only by the late 1960s, people started to realize the need for electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are a better replacement or the conventional vehicles and are more efficient and Eco-friendlier.

BACKGROUND: Solid dispersions are among the techniques successfully employed to enhance the dissolution of poorly water-soluble drugs. Microwave (MW)-assisted evaporative crystallization has been used to prepare solid dispersions of drugs and polymers. OBJECTIVES: The aim of the study was to investigate the solubility of apremilast (APM) in water by exploring the effect of MW-assisted solid dispersion technology. MATERIAL AND METHODS: In the present study, solid dispersions of APM, a poorly water-soluble drug, were prepared. The solid dispersions were prepared using the conventional method (CM) and the MW-based solvent evaporation technique. Microwave energy was used to enhance the solubility and dissolution rate of APM. The physical mixture and solid dispersions were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Apremilast tablets containing MW-assisted solid dispersions were prepared by the direct compression technique and compared with the marketed formulation (Aprezo tablets). RESULTS: The results obtained confirmed the conversion of crystalline APM to an amorphous form. The XRPD pattern of the MW-assisted formulation at a 2:1 ratio suggests the amorphous structure of APM within the formulation. Based on solubility studies results, Syloid® 244FP was selected as the best carrier. The dissolution study results suggested that the APM tablet prepared using MW-assisted solid dispersions at a 2:1 carrier/drug ratio improved the APM dissolution rate compared to the marketed formulation. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the results, it can be concluded that the MW-assisted solid dispersion technique may be an effective approach to enhancing the dissolution profile of other poorly water-soluble drugs.
