– Objective: This study aims to determine the relationships between care needs and satisfaction with nursing care quality of chemotherapy-treated cancer patients. Patients and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted between November and December 2021 in an Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit in Istanbul. The interview form consists of sociodemographic and treatment-related questions, cancer needs of patients, the satisfaction with the quality of nursing care. Results: Most of the participants were 55 years of age and older (61%), women (57.8%), had comorbid diseases (52.4%), and 48% were diagnosed with stage II cancer (48%). The care needs to be reported frequently by patients were mostly psychological and interpersonal communication. It was determined that the most important variables that increased the health care needs were perception by patients of their health status, age, stage of cancer, and the level of satisfaction they perceive together with the quality of nursing care. Conclusions: This study determined that patient care should be planned based on the factors affecting patient care needs and that care needs could decrease with increasing satisfaction with nursing care.

In this study, we investigate chemical and isotopic characteristics of low-temperature geothermal waters issuing from carbonate reservoirs in the curuksu Graben within the eastern termination of the Buyuk Menderes Graben in western Turkey. Temperatures and pH values of geothermal waters vary from 20.1 to 24.6 degrees C and 6.62 to 7.11 and those of cold waters are 17.1 to 19.9 degrees C and 6.85 to 7.72, respectively. Geothermal waters are of Ca-HCO3 and Ca-SO4 types whereas cold waters are characterized by these two types and Mg-HCO3 as well. delta 18O and delta D values of samples vary from -9.27%o to -7.69%o (VSMOW) and -58.06%o to -52.2%o and indicate a meteoric origin with local recharge. Tritium contents are from 0.12 to 2.17 TU for thermal waters and 0.28 to 4.85 TU for the cold waters implying relatively longer residence time for the hot waters. Thermal water samples mostly have positive delta 13C values (varying from -0.32%o to +1.99%o) and carbon in these waters is likely derived from marine limestone or metamorphic CO2. delta 34S and delta 18O values of dissolved sulfate in the waters indicate that sulfur originates from dissolution of marine evaporite deposits (e.g., gypsum). curuksu waters are generally oversaturated with respect to calcite, dolomite and quartz but undersaturated with respect to gypsum. Common ion effect exerted a strong control for the formation of travertine deposits in the area. Chemical and isotopic evaluations indicated that the diversity in the water chemistry of samples is attributed to a combination of processes including water-rock interaction, ion exchange and mixing of various types of waters. curuksu thermal waters are immature and not in chemical equilibrium with the reservoir rock. Among the various geothermometers applied to curuksu thermal waters, temperatures computed by chalcedony, quartz and CaMg geothermometers are 21-52 degrees C, 49-83 degrees C and 73-96 degrees C, respectively. HCO3-SO4-F and anhydrite-chalcedony (quartz) diagrams estimated a temperature range of 63-86 degrees C and delta 18O(SO4-H2O) isotope geothermometer yielded 67-78 degrees C.

Taşkınların oluşmasında en büyük etken, insanlardan kaynaklanan faktörlerdir. Yanlış ve plansız arazi kullanımı, yeşil alan, orman ve tarım alanlarının tahrip edilmesi, çarpık kentleşme, dere yatakları ve taşkın bölgelerinde yapılaşma gibi oluşumlar taşkınların oluşmasında insan faktörünün etkili olduğu durumlardır.Bu nedenle taşkınların oluşmasının ve insanlara zarar vermesinin önlenmesi için birtakım önlemlerin alınması gerekmektedir.Bu önlemler yapısal ve yapısal olmayan önlemler olarak sınıflara ayrılabilir.Bu çalışmada ülkemizde taşkın kontrolü için yapılan uygulamalar incelenecektir.

Diyabet, Türkiye’de prevalansı oldukça yüksek olan, mortalite ve morbiditeyi arttıran kronik metabolik bir hastalıktır. Kan şekeri kontrolünün sağlanmasında ve diyabetin neden olabileceği komplikasyonların önlenmesinde doğru beslenme alışkanlıkları ve diyet kalitesinin yüksek olması çok önemlidir. Bu çalışma tip 2 diyabetli bireylerin beslenme alışkanlıkları, diyet kalitesi ve yeme davranışlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya Tip 2 diyabet tanısı almış 202 birey katılmıştır. Bireylerin; demografik özellikleri, beslenme alışkanlıkları bir anket formu ile sorgulanmış, ağırlıkları ve boy uzunlukları ölçülmüş, 3 günlük besin tüketim kaydı alınmış ve Hollanda Yeme Davranışı Anketi (DEBQ) uygulanmıştır. Kadın bireylerin günlük ortalama 1522.4 ± 332.19 kkal., erkeklerin ise 1846.4 ± 373.22 kkal. aldığı hesaplanmıştır. Sağlıklı Yeme İndeksi puanı tüm bireylerde ortalama 63.77±10.93 bulunmuştur. The aim of the research is to determine the prevalence of nutritional support products in individuals who are actively engaged in sports, the purpose of use of the products and the individuals who recommend the products. Bu çalışmanın amacı değişim yönetimi çalışmalarında öğretmenlerin örgütsel iletişim algıları ile kararlara katılım davranışları arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubu 2017-2018 eğitim ve öğretim döneminde İstanbul İli Avcılar İlçesinde tabakalı rastgele örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 218 öğretmendir. Araştırmada "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", Okullarda Değişim Yönetiminde Örgütsel İletişimi Ölçeği" ve "Kararlara katılım Ölçeği" uygulanmış ve nicel araştırma desenlerinden ilişkisel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, öğretmenlerin değişim yönetimi çalışmalarında örgütsel iletişime yönelik algıları yüksek düzeyde ve "çok katılıyorum" olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin örgütsel iletişimin alt boyutları olan çözülme, iletişim, gelecek beklentisi ve avantaj, yeni değerler, katılım, eğitim, zorlama, güven verme ve vizyon, misyon bildirimi ve ekip çalışmasına yönelik algıları da yüksek düzeyde ve olarak tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin öğretimsel ve yönetimsel kararlara katılım düzeyleri ise yüksek düzeyde "oldukça" olarak belirlenmiş ve okulda kararlara genel katılım düzeylerinin de yüksek düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, kadın öğretmenlerin çözülme, motivasyon, iletişim, katılım, eğitim, zorlama, güven verme, vizyon, misyon bildirimi ve ekip çalışması boyutları ve genel örgütsel iletişim algısı erkek öğretmenlerden yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin yaş, branş, mesleki kıdem, mezun oldukları okul değişkenine göre değişim yönetiminde örgütsel iletişim algılarının farklılaşmadığı belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin kararlara katılım düzeyleri de cinsiyet, yaş, branş, mesleki kıdem, mezun oldukları okul değişkenine göre okulda kararlara katılım algılarının farklılaşmamaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmenlerin örgütsel iletişim algısı ve kararlara katılımları arasında aynı yönelik anlamlı ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin okulda öğretimsel kararlara katılmaları örgütsel iletişim algılarının %22,2'sini, yönetimsel kararlara katılmaları örgütsel iletişimin %17,9'unu ve genel olarak öğretmenlerin okulda yönetimsel kararlara katılmaları örgütsel iletişim %24,0'ünü açıklamaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda okullarda değişim yönetimi, örgütsel iletişim ve kararlara katılım açısından öneriler geliştirilmiştir. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between teachers' perceptions of organizational communication and their participation in decisions in change management studies. The sample group of the study is 218 teachers selected by stratified random sampling method in Avcılar District of Istanbul Province in the 2017-2018 academic year. In the study, "Personal Information Form", Organizational Communication Scale in Change Management in Schools "and" Scale of Participation in Decisions "were applied and the relational screening method, one of the quantitative research designs, was used. According to the results of the research, the perceptions of teachers towards organizational communication in change management studies were determined as high and "I agree very much". Teachers' perceptions of dissolution, communication, future expectation and advantage, new values, participation, education, coercion, reassurance and vision, mission statement and teamwork, which are the sub-dimensions of organizational communication, were also determined to be at a high level. Teachers' level of participation in instructional and managerial decisions was determined to be "quite" at a high level, and the level of general participation in decisions at school was also found to be high. As a result of the research, it was determined that female teachers' dissolution, motivation, communication, participation, education, compulsion, reassurance, vision, mission statement and teamwork dimensions and general organizational communication perception were higher than male teachers. It was determined that teachers' organizational communication perceptions in change management did not differ according to the variables of age, branch, professional seniority, and the school they graduated from. Teachers' level of participation in decisions does not differ in their perception of participation in decisions at school, depending on the variables of gender, age, branch, professional seniority, and the school they graduated from. As a result of the research, the same meaningful relationships were found between teachers' perception of organizational communication and their participation in decisions. Participation of teachers in instructional decisions at school explains 22.2% of organizational communication perceptions, participation in administrative decisions explains 17.9% of organizational communication, and in general teachers' participation in managerial decisions at school explains 24.0% of organizational communication. As a result of the research, suggestions were developed in terms of change management in schools, organizational communication and participation in decisions.

Amaç: Birinci basamağın (BB) koordinasyon işlevi, kronik hastalığı ve multimorbiditesi (MM) olan hastalara sağlanan sağlık hizmetlerinde sürekli, verimli ve uygun maliyetli sağlık bakımını sağlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı BB kayıtlarında en sık görülen kronik hastalıkları ve MM prevalansını belirlemektir.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmamız kesitsel bir çalışmadır. İstanbul'un Üsküdar ilçesine bağlı Aile Sağlığı Merkez’lerine (ASM) kayıtlı 40 yaş ve üzerindeki tüm bireyler çalışmanın evrenini oluşturmuştur. Örneklemin seçiminde sistematik küme örneklemesi metodu kullanılmıştır. Üsküdar ilçesindeki her aile hekiminin hasta listesi küme olarak kabul edilmiş ve her kümeden eşit sayıda hasta kaydedilmiştir. Birinci basamak hekimlerinden sadece hastaların MM verileri ile ilgili bilgiler istenmiştir.Bulgular: Üsküdar ilçesinin 108 hekimi (yanıt oranı:% 73,4) çalışmaya katılmayı kabul etmiştir. Tüm PKB'lerde kayıtlı hastaların 1187'si (% 40,3) 40 yaş ve üzerindeydi. Multimorbid hastalar 330 (% 27,8) olarak bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Yaklaşık olarak dört hastadan biri multimorbiditeye sahiptir. Bu nedenle, BB sağlık hizmetleri politikası, MM hastalarının yönetimi için "hedefe yönelik bakım" yaklaşımı dahil olmak üzere yeniden tasarlanmalıdır., Objective: Coordination function of primary care (PC) enables continuous, efficient, and cost-effective health care provided to patients with chronic disease and multimorbidity (MM). The aim of this study was to identify the most common chronic diseases and to determine the prevalence of MM in PC registries.Methods: Our study is a cross-sectional study. All the individuals aged 40 and over who were registered to the primary care units (PCUs) of the Uskudar district of Istanbul have formed the population of the study. A systematic cluster sampling was used. The patient list of each family physician in Uskudar district was accepted as a cluster and an equal number of patients from each cluster were enrolled. Only the information on the patients’ MM data was requested from the primary care physicians.Results: The 108 physicians of the Uskudar district (response rate: 73.4%) gave consent to participate in the study. The 1187 (40.3%) of registered patients of all PCUs were 40 years old and over. The multimorbid patients were found as 330 (27.8%). Conclusion: Approximately, one of four patients have multimorbidity. So, the policy of primary care services should be redesigned for the management of MM patients including the ‘goal-oriented care’ approach.
