Hepatitis E virus is a primary cause of acute hepatitis worldwide. The present study attempts to assess the genetic variability and evolutionary divergence among HEV genotypes. A vaccine promising capsid‐protein coding ORF‐2 gene sequences of HEV was evaluated using phylogenetics, model‐based population genetic methods and principal component analysis. The analyses unveiled nine distinct clusters as subpopulations for six HEV genotypes. HEV‐3 genotype samples stratified into four different subgroups, while HEV‐4 stratified into three additional subclusters. Rabbit‐infectious HEV‐3ra samples constitute a distinct cluster. Pairwise analysis identified marked genetic distinction of HEV‐4c and HEV‐4i subgenotypes compared to other genotypes. Numerous admixed, inter and intragenotype recombinant strains were detected. The MEME method identified several ORF‐2 codon sites under positive selection. Some selection signatures lead to amino acid substitutions within ORF‐2, resulting in altered physicochemical features. Moreover, a pattern of host‐specific adaptive signatures was identified among HEV genotypes. The analyses conclusively depict that recombination and episodic positive selection events have shaped the observed genetic diversity among different HEV genotypes. The significant genetic diversity and stratification of HEV‐3 and HEV‐4 genotypes into subgroups, as identified in the current study, are noteworthy and may have implications for the efficacy of anti‐HEV vaccines. Diabetic cardiomyopathy, a severe diabetic complication, impairs heart function, leading to heart failure. Treatment that effectively addresses this condition without causing side effects is urgently needed. Current anti-hyperglycemic therapies are expensive, has side effects and do not effectively prevent cardiac remodeling. Therefore, it is important to explore natural products that may have the potential to reverse cardiac remodeling. That is why the aim of the current study was to determine the left ventricular remodeling potential of the methanolic extract of Artemisia vulgaris in a diabetic cardiomyopathy rat model. Following the initial comprehensive phytochemical evaluation of plant phenolic and flavonoid content, which showed strong anti-hyperglycemic and antioxidant activities, an extract of Artemisia vulgaris was administered in an in vivo experiment. Diabetic cardiomyopathy was induced in Wistar albino rats according to previously described protocols in the literature, and the effect of treatment was checked by serum and histopathological analysis after 45 days. Artemisia vulgaris treatment significantly (p ≤ 0.05) reduced fasting blood glucose (108.5 ± 1.75 mg/dL), glycated hemoglobin (4.03 ± 0.12 %), serum glucose (116.66 ± 3.28 mg/dL), insulin (15.66 ± 0.66 ng/mL), total oxidant status (54.66 ± 3.22 µmol H2O2Equiv.L−1), Malondialdehyde (0.20 ± 0.01 mmol/L), total cholesterol (91.16 ± 3.35 mg/dL), triglycerides (130.66 ± 3.15 mg/dL), low-density lipids (36.57 ± 1.02 mg/dL), sodium (140 ± 3.21 mmol/L), calcium (10.44 ± 0.24 mmol/L), creatine kinase MB (1227.5 ± 17.89 IU/L), lactate dehydrogenase (1300 ± 34.64 IU/L), C-reactive protein (30 ± 0.57 pg/mL), tumor necrosis factor-α (58.66 ± 1.76 pg/mL), atrial natriuretic peptide (2.53 ± 0.04 pg/mL), B-type natriuretic peptide (10.66 ± 0.44 pg/mL), aspartate aminotransferase (86.5 ± 4.99 U/L), Alanine Transaminase (55.33 ± 2.90 U/L), urea (25.33 ± 1.15 mg/dL) and creatinine (0.64 ± 0.02 mg/dL) but significantly increased (p ≤ 0.05) total antioxidant capacity (1.73 ± 0.07 mmol Trolox Equil./L), high-density lipids (40 ± 1.59 mg/dL) and potassium (3.82 ± 0.04 mmol/L) levels. ECG and histopathology confirmed the significant improvement in remodeling and the reversal of structural changes in the heart and pancreas. Background: In poor nations like India, enteric fever is a severe health issue. For the purpose of diagnosing enteric fever, the Widal test is frequently utilized. In the Western Region of India, this study attempted to measure the baseline antibody titers for Salmonella typhi and paratyphi A, B in healthy persons. Methods: A total of 150 blood samples from healthy persons were taken, and the pattern of antibody titer was determined using the conventional quantitative tube method. Results: Among 150 blood samples, 103 had shown significant antibody titers (≥ 1:20). The significant proportion (10.7%) of the individuals had anti-O titer ≥ 1:80. Similarly, 86 had anti-H titers of ≥ 1:20 to S. enteric serotype typhi, 23 had a titer of ≥1:80 and 4 had a titer of ≥1:160 respectively. We found 10% and 1.3% for paratyphi A and B, anti-H titers of ≥ 1:20respectively. Conclusion: The study's findings suggest that the Western Development Region of India should modify the threshold values for antibody titers against S. typhi to > 1:80 for both anti-O and anti-H titers. This paper reports on the results of a research project that investigated the spin and recovery characteristics of a multirole fighter aircraft. In the first phase, numerical/computational methods were used to predict full scale aircraft spin and recovery characteristics. The aerodynamic data used in the numerical study was obtained from rotary balance steady coning and oscillatory coning motion dynamic wind tunnel tests conducted on 1/13th scale aircraft dynamic model. All the possible steady spin modes were numerically computed, a complete set of dynamic modes of the spinning aircraft were evaluated and six degree of freedom simulations of predicted flat spins were performed to investigate their dynamic stability and recovery characteristics. In the second phase, free-flight spin trials were conducted using 1/5th scale dynamic model of the understudy aircraft to validate the results of the analytical spin studies. Dynamic characteristics of the analytically predicted flat spins were objectively compared with flat spins found in free-flight spin trials as a validation process. Our results reveal that the numerically predicted full scale aircraft spin and recovery dynamic characteristics correlate well with those estimated from model test flights. The present study is an important step toward objective comparison of numerical spin studies based on dynamic wind tunnel tests data with free-flight spin trials, yielding important guidelines and results for future aircraft spin studies. In this paper, we present dynamic modelling and stability analysis of a generic UAV in the glide phase under engine failure condition. When such extreme phenomena occurs, the most desirable requirement is to survive that stage by keeping the vehicle controllable by maintaining its orientation and to glide the vehicle towards the intended direction with maximum extended range. This study investigates the stability aspects of one such aerial vehicle under engine failure condition. In the proposed architecture, a six degree of freedom vehicle dynamic simulation model is implemented through a set of coupled non-linear differential equations. The aerodynamic forces and moments encountered by the UAV during various phases of the flight are ascertained through empirical / non-empirical techniques. Non-linear constrained optimization technique is employed to evaluate the steady state values of the optimized trajectory for the complete flight regime. Results from dynamical systems theory are applied to investigate local stability characteristics of UAV around the steady state. Complete set of dynamic modes of UAV throughout the glide phase are evaluated and mode content in each of the motion variable is determined using modal decomposition technique. The dynamic characteristics of the open-loop configuration are assessed to generate adequate benchmark performance for closed-loop controller design
