The social, political and cultural changes that took place in the society following Kazakhstan's gaining independence have been generously inspiring the Kazakh poetry. The innovative ideas born in the period known as the Years of Independence became another phase of spiritual renaissance, bringing in fresh viewpoints in the creativity and arts to the Kazakh literature. All of the global changes and social antagonisms, such as political and socio-philosophical, mental and psychological problems have been being reflected in various forms in the Kazakh poetry since 1991.This article primarily focuses on: comprehensive research into the art forms and scenic-poetical-textual aspects of the Kazakh poetry of the independence years; consideration of poetical aspects of the poetical works written during the independence years and determination of the place of some poets’ oeuvres in the history of the Kazakh literature; evaluation of novelty in the traditional poetry of the independence years in terms of their artistic values and analysis of creative aspects of the poets’ lyrical works through identification of their individual artistic devices.

Since the early age, the human has been attempting to understand the mysteries of life and to find the answer to the eternal question through interaction with the surrounding nature. It was the original decision of the human to attempt discovering the many secrets of the elemental forces occupying the enormous environment, which he feared. The first teacher of the human was the nature, and the first thing it taught the human was the ability to perceive.In the XXI century, a young generation of poets came in who continued to pursue what their seniors had begun and were able to give it a new breath and dynamic energy. In lyrics, it takes great poetical perception to amalgamate the human and the nature and describe them beautifully by way of antithesis.

More than 20 years has passed since the Republic of Kazakhstan acquired its independence. A lot of studies have been conducted in every field including Kazakh literature. All the works of literature that were banned during the period of Soviet Union now are being published and included into the history of Kazakh literature. The writers and poets, whose names were even prohibited to be pronounced, have now become a topic of research and a lot of thesis works are being written on them. These writers and poets, and even some terms and whole periods were taken away from the history of Kazakh literature. Now we obtained the right to rewrite the history of literature after having gained the independence. In this study we tried to classify the history of Kazakh literature according to the form based on the researches done so far about the classification of history of literature. Particularly we focused on still uninvestigated works in the history of Kazakh literature related to common pre-Islamic Turkic history.
