A ZrNPs/Fe.sub.3O.sub.4/GO nanocomposite was successfully synthesized for the first time with an in-situ method, and its properties were defined by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and powder-XRD techniques. Synthesized nanocomposite was then used as a modifier to prepare modified glassy carbon electrodes for the determination of nitrite ions in foodstuffs. Differential pulse voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry studies showed a high catalytic activity of the proposed nanocomposite in nitrite oxidation. In addition, the electrode showed a linear response between 3 and 76 [mu]M, a detection limit of 3 [mu]M, and high selectivity. The synthesized nanocomposite was stable for at least 9 months, and the resultant electrode had similar stability., Author(s): Arezou Akbari [sup.1] , Parvin Dehghan [sup.2] , Baharak Divband [sup.3] [sup.4] , Esmaeel Alipour [sup.5] , Amir Hossein Moradi [sup.1] Author Affiliations: (1) https://ror.org/04krpx645, grid.412888.f, 0000 0001 2174 [...]
