Abstract

Background: Social assistance, such as Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) and the Family Hope Program (PKH), is among the instruments used to eradicate stunting in the short and long term. Therefore, it is important to ensure that individuals effectively use it. Aims: This study aimed to review the effect of social assistance on stunting prevalence rates in Indonesia. Methods: This research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing numerical measurements and statistical analysis. The data is secondary and sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Finance. The specific method applied is the generalized method of moments (GMM) dynamic panel regression. The research sample encompasses panel data from 34 provinces from 2015 to 2021. This study utilizes the indicator of very short height for children less than five years of age as a proxy for stunting. Furthermore, low height in children is adopted as a measure of stunting. Furthermore, this study adopted a measure of low height in children to indicate stunting. Results: The results showed that social assistance negatively affected stunting, supported by various other indicators such as the proportion of proper sanitation, the average length of schooling, protein consumption, and drinking water sources. Meanwhile, excessive calorie consumption increases stunting in a certain period. Conclusion: In this condition, government social assistance was urgently needed since access to the lowest decile households increased stunting rates. The practical implications for policy derived from these findings involve optimizing the efficiency of social assistance initiatives, emphasizing the significance of addressing environmental factors in programs aimed at preventing stunting, integrating health and nutrition initiatives, and implementing educational campaigns within communities to raise awareness about calorie consumption. 11. IMPACT OF COVID-19 CASES ON INFLATION IN ASEAN.

Abstract

This study is aimed to examine the impact of the total cases of COVID-19, interest rates, and money supply on inflation in ASEAN-5. Using the Panel Vector Error Correction Model (PVECM), the study reveals that the number of COVID-19 cases has a negative impact on inflation in ASEAN-5 both in the short and long run. The higher the total cases, the lower the inflation in the region. This was caused by a shock from the demand aspect due to the large number of people who were not working, so that household income decreased. A decrease in income will certainly impact on a decrease in demand which will affect equilibrium inflation. In addition, some control variables such as interest rates have a negative effect on inflation in the long run. Meanwhile, the money supply has no significant effect on inflation during the pandemic. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the global economy, including the ASEAN economy. It has added to the burden on the government to prevent the spread of the virus and restore economic conditions. MSMEs, as one of the backbones of ASEAN economies, are also feeling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In ASEAN, the MSME sector, which tends to be dominated by micro-enterprises, accounts for around 85–99% of the business entities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study's aim is to provide policy recommendations that should be carried out to internationalize MSMEs in ASEAN that can compete in the new normal era. This study used literature review and survey method for MSMEs throughout ASEAN. This research shows the importance of production networks as well as trade integration. Both of these have played an important role in driving regional growth, developing trade connectivity, and the important role of technology adoption to minimize the impact of the pandemic. Several priorities are proposed for ASEAN members; (1) to maintain the continuity of the supply chain, especially for important goods, ASEAN will need a health certificate, which is projected to become part of the quality standard in the ASEAN SME Policy index, (2) to address the manifold digital gaps that digitalization entails, and (3) to enhance the role of the private sector and other stakeholders, including the role of higher education in promoting confidence in markets, introducing new business models and opportunities, and their role in assisting post-pandemic recovery. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of Information Overload and Communication Overload on Social Media Exhaustion and Job Performance on marketing department employees of Bukalapak Company. The respondents are 70 staffs in the marketing division. This research uses a quantitative approach with a path analysis methodology with data processing based on the SmartPLS program and the findings support the hypothesis. The results of the study stated that Information Overload as well as Communication Overload has a positive and significant effect on Social Media Exhaustion, furthermore Social Media exhaustion, Information Overload and Communication Overload have negative and significant effects on Job Performance.
