The study primarily aimed to identify the knowledge and performance of poultry producers in farm management skills through achieving the following sub-objectives: identifying the characteristics and distinctive features of the respondents, identifying the agricultural information sources relied upon by the respondents in obtaining their farm management information, determining the level of knowledge of the respondents in poultry farm management skills, determining the level of performance of the respondents in poultry farm management skills, and determining the degree of influence of independent variables on the respondents' knowledge and performance of agricultural management skills. The study was conducted in the Fayoum Governorate, and the Fayoum and Senorus district were chosen as they are the most important district in the governorate in terms of the relative importance of the number of foreign broiler farms. A stratified random sample of 111 farms was taken, and data were collected through personal interviews using questionnaire forms, and numerical tabulations, percentages, and multiple regression analysis were used. The main results of the study indicated that the main sources of agricultural information relied upon by the respondents were primarily non-institutional personal sources, where veterinarians and personal experience were the main sources of information for the majority of the surveyed farmers, followed by the internet, then other farm owners, with percentages of 98.2%, 96.4%, 84.7%, and 83.8% respectively. The results also showed that 76.6% of the respondents had a high level of overall knowledge of poultry farm management skills, while 18% had an average level of knowledge, and 5.4% had a low level of knowledge. Additionally, the results indicated that 48.6% of the respondents had an average level of overall performance in poultry farm management skills, while 28.8% had a high level of performance, and 22.5% had a low level of performance. The results revealed that the most influential factors on the overall knowledge level of agricultural management skills were educational status, urban openness, poultry farm size, and average income per production cycle, with these four variables contributing to 61.4% of the variation in the dependent variable. Furthermore, results also showed that the most influential factors on the overall performance level of agricultural management skills were average income per production cycle, educational status, number of years working in the poultry field, urban openness, and benefit from attending counseling activities, with these five variables contributing to 62.3% of the variation in the dependent variable. The results showed that the most influential factors on the overall knowledge level of poultry farm management skills are: educational level, urban openness, poultry farm size, average income per production cycle. The contribution ratio of these four variables together in explaining the variance in the dependent variable reached 61.4%. The results also showed that the most influential factors on the overall performance level of poultry farm management skills are: average income per production cycle, educational level, years of experience in the poultry field, urban openness, and benefit from attending guidance activities. Methylene blue is a synthetic and cationic dye that finds utility in different fields including pharmaceutical, paper, textile, printing, carpet, and photography industries. Adsorption is a very effective technique to decolorize contaminated wastewater. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) as an adsorbent for decolorization of MB dye from aqueous solutions. The study examined various characteristics affecting adsorption, including concentration of dye, pH value, dosage of MWCNTs, and contact time. The results that growing the adsorbent dosage from (25 to 120) mg increased the dye efficiency rate from 62% to 98%, respectively, were shown. The study also evaluated pH, which is among the most critical factors influencing removal efficiency. The best pH for the removal efficiency was 6 at an initial concentration of MB dye 20 mgL-1, a contact time 60 min, and an MWCNT dosage 100 mg. Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin isotherms were used to describe the adsorption equilibrium. The Langmuir isotherm with an R² value of 0.9968 and a maximum capacity for adsorption of 19.6 mgg-1 provided a suitable fit for the data of the experiment. In comparison between the suitability of kinetic models pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second order, and Weber-Morris, the kinetics model's correlation value was shown to be greater than that of the pseudo-second order kinetic model with an R² value of 0.9982. Objective: This study aimed to assess the efficacy of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for treating thermal tongue ulcers in gamma-irradiated rats. Background: Postradiotherapeutic trauma may cause cell death, tissue damage, organ dysfunction, and loss of hematological components. Materials and methods: Thermal ulcers were induced on the dorsal surfaces of tongues of gamma-irradiated rats (15 Gy). Rats were divided into three groups, group 1 received no treatment, group 2 was subjected to a single dose of diode laser 807 nm with energy density 4 J/cm², and group 3 was subjected to the same dose of LLLT but fractionated into three sessions at days 1, 3, and 5 after ulcers induction. Ulcers were assessed clinically for their areas and healing percentage. Specimens were examined for the quality of ulcer closure and expression of IL-1β and TGF-β1. Results: Results revealed significant improvement of ulcer healing clinically and histologically in both treatment groups compared to control. Moreover, IL-1β and TGF-β1 expression in both treatment groups was high at the earlier stage of healing then declined by time to reach a normal level. However, untreated group showed higher expression of IL-1β and TGF-β1 compared to treatment groups. In addition, IL-1β expression decreased by time but still of high level and TGF-β1 expression increased then declined. Conclusions: We concluded that gamma radiation-impaired mucosal healing could be related to the over expression of IL-1β and TGF-β1. LLLT, whether one session or fractionated, could be an effective treatment for postradiotherapeutic ulcers. The healing power of LLLT might be due to modulation of IL-1β and TGF-β1.
