In current research, Makrofol HS polymeric films have been utilized to evaluate the alterations in the surface properties under an atmospheric-pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma source. Upon DBD plasma exposure with various exposure durations ranging from 10 min to 120 min, the structural, surface wettability, surface free energy, surface roughness, and hardness features of Makrofol HS films have been studied and analyzed using different techniques. The FTIR spectra demonstrated that small changes in the band intensities correspond to the C-O-C as well as C=O bonds. Further, the changes in the absorption bands are correlated to the treatment time, leading to two critical processes, degradation, and crosslinking. The results of surface wettability displayed that the liquids' contact angle decreased from 84 ± 3o, 77 ± 3o and 62 ± 2o for water, glycerol, and dimethyl to 45 ± 1o, 42 ± 1o, and 36 ± 1o for untreated and treated samples at the highest treatment time, respectively. Also, the surface free energy significantly amended with increasing plasma exposure time. This modification in the treated surface indicates the increase in the polar groups on the treated surfaces, which then become hydrophilic surfaces. The samples' surface roughness parameters Ra, Rq, and Rz increased from 0.057 ± 0.003, 0.084 ± 0.004 and 0.366 ± 0.02 mm for untreated samples to 1.463 ± 0.073, 1.707 ± 0.085, and 6.839 ± 0.34 mm for treated samples at the highest treatment time, respectively. The Vickers hardness measurements showed an increase in the Vickers hardness from 12.31 ± 0.61 kgf/mm2 for the untreated sample to 44.89 ± 2.24 kgf/mm2 for the treated sample at the highest duration. The surface deformation behind deep excavation support in sand soil was validated. Furthermore, the displacement of ground surface and invert of buried circular tunnel (diameter D = 6 m) induced by deep excavation in layered soft soil was evaluated. The validation was performed for the results of centrifuge models of sand soil by applying Mohr-Coulomb model (MC) in 2D finite element analysis. In addition, the evaluation was conducted for the MC model by applying Hardening Soil with Small Strain Stiffness (HSS) on a model in soft soils. Beginning an excavation in soft soils causes drawdown stresses that causing an abrupt increase in tunnel movement (strain dependent stiffness). MC model cannot adopt the effect of excavation increase on the surface of soft soil and on the invert of tunnel (under-predicted deformation). HSS adopts a steep drawdown for soft soil surface above the tunnel and indicates a marked decrease in the heave of tunnel invert (over-predicted deformation). According to the deformation of sand surface behind diaphragm wall of excavation, an accepted convergence was observed between the centrifuge sand tests and 2D numerical analysis. This paper reports the optical characterization of a controlled atmospheric-pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma source in air and Ar environments. In this study, Ar flow rate is held constant at 1 L/min while the operating voltages varied from 6.5 kV to 12.7 kV. Under these conditions, a calibrated commercial compact spectrometer covering the range from 200 to 850 nm was used to record the emission spectra of DBD plasma operating at different voltages, gap distances, and gas types. Using the Boltzmann distribution, we calculated the electron density ( $ n_e $ ne) and excitation temperatures in the plasma of air and Ar DBD at 2 mm gap distance . The emission spectra lines of the hydroxyl radicals (OH), $ {{N_{2}}} $ N2, and Ar ions are acquired at different operating conditions. According to the findings, the light intensity of Ar DBD is significantly higher than that of air DBD under the same conditions of operation. The intensity of the generated plasma spectrum is also shown to rise with both an increase in the input voltage and a decrease in the gap distance. The measurements also showed that the average temperature of the excited electrons is around 1.1 eV for air DBD and 0.11 eV for Ar DBD, while $ n_e $ ne for both is on the order of $ {10^{16}}\,{{\rm cm}^{-3}} $ 1016cm−3. These results show that as the working voltage increases, the plasma changes from a filamentary state to a homogeneous mode. Telemedicine, telehealth, and E-health all offer significant benefits for pain management and healthcare services by fostering the physician-patient relationship in otherwise challenging circumstances. A critical component of these artificial-intelligence-based health systems is the "agent-based system", which is rapidly evolving as a means of resolving complicated or straightforward problems. Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) are well-established modeling and problem-solving modalities that model and solve real-world problems. MAS's core concept is to foster communication and cooperation among agents, which are broadly considered intelligent autonomous factors, to address diverse challenges. MAS are used in various telecommunications applications, including the internet, robotics, healthcare, and medicine. Furthermore, MAS and information technology are utilized to enhance patient-centered palliative care. While telemedicine, E-health, and MAS all play critical roles in managing chronic pain, the published research on their use in treating chronic pain is currently limited. This paper discusses why telemedicine, E-health, and MAS are the most critical novel technologies for providing healthcare and managing chronic pain. This review also provides context for identifying the advantages and disadvantages of each application's features, which may serve as a useful tool for researchers.
