This study evaluated the effects of different levels of black cumin (Nigella Sativa L.) seed vs. virginiamycin and vitamin E on broilers' performance, intestinal morphology, ileal digestibility, and microbial count. A total of 420-day-old broilers (Cobb 500) were allotted to seven treatments, each replicated four times from 1 to 49 days of age. Treatments included: control, virginiamycin (200 mg/kg diet), vitamin E (150 mg/kg diet), and black cumin seed powder (5, 10, 15, and 20 g/kg of diet). Results showed that virginiamycin or black seed levels did not influence birds' body weight. Including vitamin E over the recommendation reduced body weight at 23 days of age (P ≤ 0.05). virginiamycin supplementation increased (P ≤ 0.05) feed intake from 1 to 10 days of age. In the jejunum, birds fed a diet containing vitamin E or different levels of black seed showed higher villus height and villus area. However, birds that received virginiamycin had significantly improved villus height to crypt depth ratio. Lactobacillus count increased in virginiamycin and 20 g/kg black seed groups (P ≤ 0.05). In conclusion, including 20 g/kg black cumin seed in broilers' diet can improve performance, intestinal morphometric indices, and Lactobacillus count.

Abstract Pulsatile hemodynamics have been shown to be independent predictors of cardiovascular events. The aim of the current study was to describe four pulsatile hemodynamic markers in a large, well-established, population-based cohort and to provide reference equations for sex- and age-based standardization of these measurements. 6828 adult participants from the Austrian LEAD (Lung, hEart, sociAl, boDy) cohort study, who were free from overt cardiovascular disease, non-diabetic based on blood test results, and had no history of pharmacological treatment for hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetes, comprised the “reference population”. Carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (cfPWV), augmentation index (AIx), amplitude of forward wave (Pf), and backward wave (Pb) were described in different age categories for both sexes. Sex-specific reference equations for cfPWV, AIx, Pf, and Pb with age as the predictive variable were created using the Lambda-Mu-Sigma (LMS) method. All four parameters increased with age. Background Oscillometry devices allow quantification of respiratory function at tidal breathing but device-specific reference equations are scarce: the present study aims to create sex-specific oscillometric reference values for children and adolescents using the Resmon PRO FULL device. Methods Healthy participants (n=981) aged 6 to 17 years of the Austrian LEAD general population cohort were included. Subjects had normal weight (body mass index ≤99th percentile) and normal lung volumes (total lung capacity (TLC) ≥ lower limit of normal). Oscillometry data were collected using a single frequency mode of 8 Hz. Sex-specific prediction equations were developed for total, inspiratory and expiratory resistance (R) and reactance (X) as well as for the modulus of impedance (Z) value using the LMS (lambda, mu, sigma) method. Height was used as a single covariate. Results Reference equations for all oscillometry parameters were created for Caucasian children aged 6 to 17 years with a height span from 101 to 183 cm and a lung volume span from 1.7 to 8.8 L TLC. R and Z values progressively decrease and X values increase with increasing height. Oscillometry parameters versus lung volume curves differ from those versus height curves. Stratified for lung size, no sex differences are found for oscillometry parameters. Conclusion Our study provides reference values for oscillometry parameters in children and adolescents using strictly defined criteria for weight and lung volumes. No sex-related differences in oscillometry parameters corrected for height or lung size are found.

The second half of the eighteenth century was a period of transition in European aesthetics. It was also a time of increasing contact between Europe and Asia. The rise of Oriental literary scholarship was a natural outgrowth of the public interest in things Oriental. While the earlier part of the century had sought to reaffirm the basic tenets of the Enlightenment with the help of its indirect knowledge of the Oriental literatures, the later generations became increasingly fascinated with the new possibilities of the literary heritage of the East. The Shahnameh first attracted the attention of the eighteenth-century Orientalists such as Sir William Jones as the supreme example of Oriental epic poetry. The present essay proposes to study Jones's conception of Persian literature and his remarks on the poetry of Firdawsi, as well as his fragmentary translations of the Shahnameh.

Abstract Background Reference values for lung volumes are necessary to identify and diagnose restrictive lung diseases and hyperinflation, but the values have to be validated in the relevant population. Our aim was to investigate the Global Lung Function Initiative (GLI) reference equations in a representative healthy Austrian population and create population-derived reference equations if poor fit was observed. Methods We analysed spirometry and body plethysmography data from 5371 respiratory healthy subjects (6–80 years) from the Austrian LEAD Study. Fit with the GLI equations was examined using z-scores and distributions within the limits of normality. LEAD reference equations were then created using the LMS method and the generalized additive model of location shape and scale package according to GLI models. Results Good fit, defined as mean z-scores between + 0.5 and -0.5,was not observed for the GLI static lung volume equations, with mean z-scores > 0.5 for residual volume (RV), RV/TLC (total lung capacity) and TLC in both sexes, and for expiratory reserve volume (ERV) and inspiratory capacity in females. Distribution within the limits of normality were shifted to the upper limit except for ERV. Population-derived reference equations from the LEAD cohort showed superior fit for lung volumes and provided reproducible results. Conclusion GLI lung volume reference equations demonstrated a poor fit for our cohort, especially in females. Therefore a new set of Austrian reference equations for static lung volumes was developed, that can be applied to both children and adults (6–80 years of age).

Abstract Background We compared Fakhravac and BBIBP-Corv2 vaccines in a phase III trial. Method We conducted a multicenter, parallel-group, active-control, non-inferiority clinical trial with pragmatic considerations assessing the safety and efficacy of Fakhravac and BBIBP-Corv2 vaccines. We started with two randomized double-blind arms and added two non-randomized open-label arms (based on participant preference) because of slow recruitment. The adult population received 0.5 ml (10 µg per dose) intramuscular injections of Fakhravac or BBIBP-Corv-2 vaccines 21 days apart. The primary outcome was the occurrence of PCR-positive symptomatic Covid-19 disease 14 days or more after the second injection. A 10% non-inferiority margin to the reported 72.8% efficacy of BBIBP-Corv2 was assumed. Cox proportional hazard modeling was used to estimate hazard ratios and their 95% confidence intervals. Result We enrolled 24,056 adults in four groups (randomized-Fakhravac: 824, randomized-BBIBP-Corv2: 832; Non-randomized-Fakhravac: 19,429, Non-randomized-BBIBP-Corv2: 2971). All observed local and systemic adverse reactions were generally self-limited and resolved completely. We observed similar Serious Adverse Event (SAE) rates in the BBIBP-Corv2 (2.57, 95% CI 1.33–4.49) and Fakhravac (2.25, 95% CI 1.72–2.89) groups; none of which were related to the vaccines received. We recorded 9815 Medically Attendant Adverse Events (MAAE), 736 of which were categorized as somehow related. The rate of related MAAE in the Fakhravac was similar to the BBIBP-Corv2 groups (0.31 and 0.26 per 1000 person-day) in the randomized and considerably higher (0.24 and 0.07 per 1000 person-day) in the non-randomized arms. We observed 129 (35% of the 365 required by target sample size) events of PCR + symptomatic Covid-19 during four months of active follow-up in the randomized arm, demonstrating that those receiving the Fakhravac vaccine were significantly less likely (HR = 0.69; 95% CI 0.49–0.98) to be diagnosed with PCR + symptomatic Covid-19 compared with those receiving BBIBP-Corv2 vaccine. Occupancy rate refers to the level of usage and presence of individuals within a building or a specific space. This factor can have a significant impact on building energy consumption. When the occupancy rate in a building is high, naturally, energy consumption also increases. This correlation might be due to the increased use of lighting, heating, and cooling, higher numbers of electrical and electronic devices, and similar factors associated with the presence of people in the building. One of the modern methods in the energy field involves empirically utilizing occupancy monitoring tools in buildings and analyzing the relationship between such utilization and building energy consumption through artificial neural network tools. In this research, a camera sensitive to entry and exit was installed at the entrance of an office building in Tehran, Iran. By doing so, the rate of entry and exit was accurately monitored. In the next stage, by investigating the impact of this entry and exit rate on the building's energy consumption, the energy consumption amount was predicted using an artificial neural network and a statistical method (moving average). The results indicate errors of 9.8 and 4.5 for the respective methods, highlighting that the artificial neural network yields the most accurate outcomes. Moreover, the study's findings suggest a direct correlation: as occupancy rates increase, the predicted energy consumption values also rise.

Background: The FAKHRAVAC®, an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, was assessed for safety and immunogenicity. Methods and findings: In this double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase I trial, we randomly assigned 135 healthy adults between 18 and 55 to receive vaccine strengths of 5 or 10 μg/dose or placebo (adjuvant only) in 0–14 or 0–21 schedules. This trial was conducted in a single center in a community setting. The safety outcomes in this study were reactogenicity, local and systemic adverse reactions, abnormal laboratory findings, and Medically Attended Adverse Events (MAAE). Immunogenicity outcomes include serum neutralizing antibody activity and specific IgG antibody levels.The most frequent local adverse reaction was tenderness (28.9%), and the most frequent systemic adverse reaction was headache (9.6%). All adverse reactions were mild, occurred at a similar incidence in all six groups, and were resolved within a few days. In the 10-µg/dose vaccine group, the geometric mean ratio for neutralizing antibody titers at two weeks after the second injection compared to the placebo group was 9.03 (95% CI: 3.89–20.95) in the 0–14 schedule and 11.77 (95% CI: 2.77–49.94) in the 0–21 schedule. The corresponding figures for the 5-µg/dose group were 2.74 (1.2–6.28) and 5.2 (1.63–16.55). The highest seroconversion rate (four-fold increase) was related to the 10-µg/dose group (71% and 67% in the 0–14 and 0–21 schedules, respectively). Conclusions: FAKHRAVAC® is safe and induces a strong humoral immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus at 10-µg/dose vaccine strength in adults aged 18–55. Abstract Background Under commercial conditions, chickens are fasted for the first 36 to 72 h post‐hatch. Delayed access to feed and water causes delayed development of the intestinal tract and retarded performance. Objectives This study focused on the chick's life as affected by in ovo feeding (IOF) and the animal's interaction with the feeding procedure. The birds in a factorial arrangement (2 × 3) were placed into six treatment groups in a completely randomised design. The treatment groups differed in feed procedure, 6 h [early feeding (EF)] or 36 h [common feeding (CF)] post‐hatch, with or without IOF with beta‐hydroxy‐beta‐methyl butyrate (HMB) or calcium gluconate (CG) in a saline solution, and were examined for hatchability and performance parameters until 24 h post‐hatch. In addition, physical and histological characteristics of breast, jejunum and serum indices in 14 days post‐hatch and performance criteria until 35 days of age were recorded. Methods On day 17 of the incubation period, eggs were subjected to the IOF procedure. One mL of sterile IOF solution including 0.1% HMB or 0.4% CG dissolved in 5% saline solution was injected into the eggs. Results Results showed that IOF groups had lower (p < 0.05) FCR than the control group. The highest mortality rate was noted in the control‐CF group. The lowest myofibril density was related to the HMB‐CF group. Myofibril periphery, area and diameter for the HMB‐CF group were larger (p < 0.05) than those of the other groups. Conclusions Results indicated that injection of HMB increased hatchability by almost 15%. The IOF of HMB improved the digestive tract and breast muscle development and improved FCR.

Abstract Background The FAKHRAVAC®, an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, was assessed for safety and immunogenicity in a phase II trial. Methods We did a phase II, single-centered, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of the FAKHRAVAC inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine on adults aged 18 to 70. The two parallel groups received two intramuscular injections of either a 10-µg vaccine or a placebo at 2-week intervals. The participants' immunogenicity responses and the occurrence of solicited and unsolicited adverse events were compared over the study period of up to 6 months. Immunogenicity outcomes include serum neutralizing antibody activity and specific IgG antibody levels. Results Five hundred eligible participants were randomly (1:1) assigned to vaccine or placebo groups. The median age of the participants was 36 years, and 75% were male. The most frequent local adverse reaction was tenderness (21.29% after the first dose and 8.52% after the second dose), and the most frequent systemic adverse reaction was headache (11.24% after the first dose and 8.94% after the second dose). Neutralizing antibody titers two and four weeks after the second injection in the vaccine group showed about 3 and 6 times increase compared to the placebo group (GMR = 2.69, 95% CI 2.32–3.12, N:309) and (GMR = 5.51, 95% CI 3.94–8.35, N:285). A four-fold increase in the neutralizing antibody titer was seen in 69.6% and 73.4% of the participants in the vaccine group two and four weeks after the second dose, respectively. Specific ELIZA antibody response against a combination of S1 and RBD antigens 4 weeks after the second injection increased more than three times in the vaccine compared to the placebo group (GMR = 3.34, 95% CI 2.5–4.47, N:142). Conclusions FAKHRAVAC® is safe and induces a significant humoral immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus at 10-µg antigen dose in adults aged 18–70. The weighting factor of the sediment connectivity index (IC) is a challenging component of this index and must be properly explicated for different situations. The aim of this study is to develop a proper weighting factor for calculating IC based on experiments on three tilled soils from dry-farming fields in Kouheen, Sararud, and Gachsaran regions under a 111 mm/h rainfall simulation using a 5.8 m2 laboratory flume with a slope of 12%. For each soil sample, two rain events (R1 and R2) were simulated with an interval of 4 hours, and the soil losses were measured. In addition, a digital elevation model with a pixel size of 2 mm was prepared by accurate photography after each rain followed by calculating the IC based on roughness coefficient (RI) as the weighting factor. Measured soil losses of two rainfalls were 4796 and 3909 g for Gachsaran soil, 3465 and 2464 g for Kouheen soil, and 2679 and 2105 g for Sararud soil, respectively. The result shows that with increasing IC based-RI, soil loss was decreased which indicates the inadequacy of RI alone as a weighting factor. To develop a new weighting factor, several physical and chemical characteristics of soils were used in combination with RI. A comparison of the results showed that the IC based on a weighting factor obtained from the combination of mean weighted aggregate diameter, penetration resistance, and RI, has the highest coefficient of correlation with soil losses (0.92, P

Abstract Background The present study compared the effect of post space preparation time on the apical seal of two different sealers. Methods In the in vitro study, 94 central incisors were used. After the samples’ root canal preparation, they were randomly assigned to four experimental groups (n = 21). The samples in groups 1 and 2 were obturated with AH Plus sealer, gutta-percha, and in groups 3 and 4 with Endoseal MTA bioceramic sealer and single cone technique. The post spaces in groups 1 and 3 were prepared immediately and in groups 2 and 4 with a delay. The samples were evaluated at 7-, 30-, and 90-day intervals for apical microleakage using the fluid filtration technique. The data were analyzed with SPSS 25, using three-way ANOVA and independent t-test. Results The apical microleakage in groups 3 and 4, obturated with Endoseal MTA bioceramic sealer and prepared immediately and after a delay, respectively, was not significantly different between the interval times. In group 2, obturated with AH Plus sealer and prepared for post space with a delay, the apical microleakage was significantly less than all the other groups. Group 1, obturated with AH Plus sealer and prepared for post space immediately, exhibited the least microleakage after seven days, but its microleakage increased over time to reach the level of groups 3 and 4. Conclusion According to the results, the apical microleakage in the AH + sealer group and the delayed post-space preparation method, was significantly less than all the other groups over time.

"Faith", as one of the most important companions in human history, is a factor in creating homogeneous religious communities, but at the same time, with the emergence of interpretive disagreements, it becomes a cause of conflict among individuals. Even some of the greatest battles in history are the result of people rejecting their counterpart religious interpretations. By introducing an understanding of faith that considers it to be interpretable and states that different social, cultural, and even natural and historical circumstances and situations influence individual perceptions of faith, we can help increase tolerance and flexibility in society. The religious teachings of Islam, despite differences in individuals' capacities for accepting and expressing faith, have always encouraged brotherhood and forbade individuals from imposing heavier burdens on those with less capacity. By using Scriptural evidence, this article attempts to prove that faith is interpretable. Consequently, the article clarifies that, on the one hand, due to the "gradation of faith", there are multiple interpretations of it in society and, on the other hand, achieving the important principle of brotherhood will depend on understanding this aspect of faith and promoting individuals' flexibility and tolerance. It will allow individuals to live peacefully and empathically, free from violence.

Some consider it to mean the human faculty of speech, some to the expression of everything, some to the human faculty of reason, some to the names of objects and creatures, and some to the Holy Qur’an itself. Given the mentioned differences concerning the meaning of the Qur’anic word “al-bayān”, as well as the lack of independent research in this regard, the present article attempts to analyze its true meaning, seeking a suitable connection with the context of the verse in question. According to the achievements, the opinion of those Qur’anic exegetes, either Sunni or Shi’ite, who consider “al-bayān” in a semantic correlation with the meaning of human faculty of speech seems more satisfactory, comprehensive, and convincing. It should be pointed out that the first meaning of the word that comes to mind from observing the context of the verses is “speech”. In the same way, there is exact evidence in earlier literary, historical, and narrative texts that illustrate the application of the Arabic word “bayān” in the meaning of speech. Furthermore, according to (Q. 14:4), the Qur’an attributes the human faculty of explanation to language. On the other hand, it should not be neglected that God Almighty has called the Qur’an a general expression for the people. Since the material and apparent nature of the Qur’an at the time of its revelation was nothing but the nature of speech and language, it becomes clear that the meaning of "al-bayān" is speech. Huduth Cosmological argument is one of the proofs of Divine existence, which mostly applied by theologians. Believing in the createdness of the universe, theologians support the argument, while philosophers reject it because they think that the universe is eternal. A prominent philosopher in the west tradition is William Craig, which put forward philosophical and natural arguments, some of them are new. On the other hand, the argument has well known opponents such as Wallace Mathson, Josh Dever, Quentin Persifor Smith and Russel which some philosophers followed them, rejecting Huduth argument through the sequence of causes, positivism, and the eternality of the universe. Examining the most important critiques on the minor premise of the Huduth argument by Western philosophers, this study, by critical analytical method, has shown that their arguments are not sufficient to prove their claim. Although it seems that Craig's arguments for the existence of the universe are not certain and he has used indefinite hypotheses, but considering his set of reasons and also using various arguments such as the arguments of Islamic thinkers can accumulatively justify the theory of createdness against rival theories.

IntroductionUniversities have experienced different generations in during their lives. The first generation of universities had a purely educational function. The second generation of universities also had a research function. In the third generation, the application of research was considered. The third generation of universities is called the: Entrepreneur University. Third generation universities must be able to be independent and Prepare your graduates to enter in the job market. The purpose of this study is to design a conceptual model for third generation universities in the distance education system.MethodThe method used in this research is Grounded theory. By using a purposeful sampling method, 46 faculty members of Payame Noor University were select. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews. Then the data were coded by the three-step method in Grounded theory.ResultsExecution of the open coding step identified 114 concepts. In axial coding stage, concepts were summarized into 23 sub-categories and 8 main categories. Then a paradigm model was drawn with causal conditions (organizational space of university), contextual conditions (organizational infrastructure), intervening conditions (autonomy, globalization and effective interactions), central phenomenon (third generation university), strategies (administrative and executive review) and outcome (development-oriented society). Finally, conceptual model of the third generation university was created.DiscussionBased on the conceptual model obtained, the university should be reviewed. This review should be done in the field of university hardware and software. Therefore, changes in strategies, perspectives, facilities and equipment are necessary for the third generation. In this case, the university can be a factor in the comprehensive development of society. To achieve this, the university must support from the new ideas and creativity of its staff. Also, creative beliefs in the workplace should replace routine beliefs. In the field of hardware, the necessary equipment to develop the talents of employees should be provided to them. In addition, the university must have a good relationship with other universities and other sections of society. To become a third-generation university, administrative approaches must become more flexible and educational policies must change. The new needs for educational and research should be known and based on those needs, educational and research goals should be set. By making these changes, the university will be on the path of economic and social development which creates innovative products and creative services. Finally, the establishment of this type of university leads to sustainable development in society.

The supercapacitor-battery hybrid energy storage system (SBHESS) has been commonly used to reduce the stress of fast power variations on the battery, and hence, prolong its lifetime. However, the utilization of the supercapacitor (SC) significantly increases the cost of energy storage system. Considering the potentials of the photovoltaic systems, the smart LED lighting loads and the thermostatically controlled loads in primary frequency control (PFC), three novel PFC schemes are proposed for each of them. They are enabled to cooperatively participate in the PFC of islanded MG alongside the SBHESS. Their cooperative application alongside the SBHESS decreases the participation share of the SC in the PFC and hence, reduces the size and the cost of the SC and its converter which consequently decreases the SBHESS cost. In this regard, the genetic algorithm is employed to tune the controller coefficients of the PFC schemes and the distributed generators to limit and minimize frequency deviations within an acceptable range, and also minimize the size of SC and its converter. The results show that the proposed cooperative application considerably decreases the size and the cost of the SC and its converter. This is while the SBHESS battery life is still extended the same as the case in which the SBHESS is used alone. As the frequency control results are similar with and without the proposed cooperative application and the imposed cost is much higher in the latter case, the proposed cooperative application increases the cost-effectiveness of the SBHESS.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of fermented kombucha on green tea with white sugar or sugar beet molasses in broiler chickens. Birds (n = 448) were randomly allotted into seven treatments of four replicates each. Treatments were included: tap water with no kombucha (Control), water containing 3 ml/100 ml kombucha based on white sugar (SK3%), water containing 6 ml/100 ml kombucha based on white sugar (SK 6%), water containing 3 ml/100 ml kombucha based on sugar beet molasses (MK3%), water containing 6 ml/100 ml kombucha based on sugar beet molasses (MK6%), SK 3%+MK 3% and SK 6%+MK 6%. Except for SK3%, all birds received SK or MK in their drinking water had greater (p ≤ .05) BWG than control. Feed intake increased (p ≤ .05) in SK6% group in comparison to the control. A total of 720 one-day-old male broiler chickens were randomly allotted into nine treatments to evaluate the effects of different levels of phytase (Phy, 0.0, 500, and 1000 FTU/kg) and benzoic acid (BA, 0.0, 0.5, and 1.0 g/kg) supplementation on performance, nutrients digestibility, tibia mineralisation, intestinal morphology and serum traits in broiler chickens fed nutrient deficient diets (NC). The experiment was done in a 3*3 factorial arrangements with a completely randomised design until 42 days of age. Body weight (BW), body weight gain (BWG), and feed conversion ratio (FCR) improved when Phy (at both levels) was added to NC diets (p ≤ .05). Phy at 1X and 2X increased serum P, decreased serum Ca and litter moisture content (1000 FTU/kg) at d 28 (p ≤ .05), Furthermore, Phy supplementation increased tibia length and ash content as well as apparent ileal digestibility of P and ileal villus height (VH) (p ≤ .05). Addition of BA at 0.5 g/kg to the diets increased litter moisture, serum Ca content, jejunal villus height and ileal villus width (VW) (p ≤ .05). However, the combination of Phy and BA supplementation decreased apparent ileal of Ca digestibility (at 2X), and increased VH/CD ratio of the jejunum (at 1X). In conclusion, Phy was effective in improving performance traits, bone mineralisation, apparent ileal nutrients digestibility, and intestinal morphology. BA had no impact on performance traits, bone mineralisation, and ileal nutrients digestibility but at recommended level (0.5 g/kg) increased VH and VW in the ileum and jejunum.Highlights Supplementation of nutrient deficient diet with phytase significantly improved body weight and body weightgain in male broiler chickens. Phytase supplementation increased serum phosphorus content and decreased serum calcium and litter moisture contents. Phytase supplementation increased tibia length and ash content, apparent ileal digestibility of phosphorus and ileal villus height. Addition of benzoic acid to nutrient deficient diet increased litter moisture, serum calcium content, jejunal villus height and ileal villus width. Combination of Phytase and benzoic acid supplementations decreased apparent ileal digestibility of calcium, crypt depth of the ileum and increased villus width and villus height/crypt depth ratio of the jejunum and ileum, respectively.

In this study, the effects of different levels of dietary guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) supplementation (0, 0.6, 1.2 and 1.8 g/kg) in laying quails was evaluated in a completely randomised design comprised of four dietary treatments of six replicates each, from 56 to 154 d of age. The highest laying rate was obtained with 1.8 g/kg of GAA, but the optimum egg weight, egg mass, shell and yolk weight were observed at 1.2 g/kg of GAA. The villus height and villus height: crypt depth ratio of ileum and apparent ileal digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, ether extract and ash were linearly and quadratically affected by GAA supplementation. Maximum glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase enzyme activity and total antioxidant capacity, but minimum malondialdehyde in the serum were observed at 1.2 g/kg of GAA. The highest concentrations of very low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, total cholesterol and creatine (CRE) were observed at 1.2 g/kg of GAA, whereas the serum low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL) was at its lowest level. The CRE, nitric oxide and homocysteine concentrations were highest when GAA at 1.8 g/kg was fed, but the highest concentration of total protein and VLDL were observed at 1.2 g/kg of GAA. The betaine content of liver was at its lowest level at 1.8 g/kg GAA supplementation, but the highest levels of total protein and total lipids were observed at 0.6 and 1.8 g/kg of GAA. In conclusion, the results indicate that GAA, especially at 1.2 g/kg, could improve performance, antioxidant status and intestinal performance in laying quails.Highlights Supplementation of GAA up to 1.8 g/kg of the laying quail diet increased egg production rate but liver betaine content decreased by inclusion of more than 1.2 g/kg of GAA. Supplementation of GAA at all studied levels improved nutrient digestibility while the benefits of GAA on intestinal morphology observed at inclusion levels of 0.6 and 1.2 g/kg. The serum and liver antioxidant status of laying quails improved by dietary addition of GAA at 0.6 and 1.2 g/kg levels.

In this article, we try to study Clark Pinnock’s point of view in explaining the methodological foundations of the Open Theism Theory with a descriptive-analytical method so that we can have a fair critique of the strengths and weaknesses of this theory while also understanding it correctly. Pinnock can be considered one of the most important theorists and founders of Open Theism. In his view, Open Theism is one of the theological-philosophical theories that have emerged in the critique of the teachings of traditional Christian theology and consider its claims to be logically and narratively contradictory. Pinnock believes that open theists (unlike traditional theists) sanctify God as acknowledged in the Bible and that some of the attributes of God in traditional theology should be revised and modified based on the text of the Bible. They believe that God is the God of the Bible; someone who is truly connected to the world, a relationship that requires the most mobility, not immobility. In this view, God is portrayed as a triune relationship-oriented truth, which seeks romantic relationships with human beings and thereby grants them true freedom. Finally, since open theists believe that theology should be understood by the people of the present age, a better explanation of theology depends on reliance on modern philosophy (rather than ancient philosophy) and its effects. In modern philosophy (considering the idea that the truth of things does not appear to man), method and methodology have become very important. In general, methodology is the knowledge that recognizes “how to go” and the fundamental methodology reveals the hidden principles of each theory and creates the basis for its basic critique. Of course, the purpose of this article is specifically to examine the “basics” of Pinnacle’s method, not his “method.” In fact, the report presented by his method is a platform for examining the basics. From the author’s point of view, most of the mistakes that have been made in traditional theology are also reflected in Open Theism; leading in another way! That is to say, most of the objections that Pinnock made to traditional theologians also apply to him. For example, why is it bad to be influenced by (ancient) Greek philosophy, but Open Theism’s claims can be influenced by modern philosophy? Do ancient philosophy and modern philosophy have precise and acceptable boundaries at all? On what basis do open theists claim that modern philosophy is more acceptable to modern people than ancient philosophy? Can mere simultaneity justify it? If we take as a basis the claim of open theists – that every thought comes “from somewhere” and that no thought is pristine – the encounter of open theists with the text of the Bible is also done with the presuppositions of modern philosophy, and their pivotal mindset has influenced their understanding of the Bible. How can one be sure that the path taken by theology is more correct than the path taken by its predecessors? Since a better understanding of each theory is gained by reflecting on its foundations, in this article we intend to examine the methodological foundations of Open Theism by looking at the book Most Moved Mover. In general, from Pinnock’s point of view, the method of open theism can be based on the three main bases of the critical study of the interpretation of traditional theologians, return to the Bible and overcoming Hellenism, and attention to modern philosophy, which we will describe and critique.

در پژوهش حاضر ، حقوق رقابت در بانکهای دولت و خصوصی، در صنعت بانکداری ایران، به عنوان رفتار عقلانی قانون گذار در فراهم نمودن موازین ناظر به امکان تجمیع عوامل تولید، که نهایتاً منتهی به تخصیص بهینه منابع می‌گردد، موضوع تحلیل اقتصادی قرار گرفته است. رویکرد تحلیل اقتصادی حقوق، با نگاهی متفاوت از رویکرد سنتی، حقوق را با منطق اقتصادی بررسی می‌کند. در این رویکرد «کارایی» مفهوم بنیادی است که اساس بررسی و تحلیل‌های اقتصادی را تشکیل می‌دهد،‌بنابراین در این پژوهش نیز، تحلیل اقتصادی حقوق رقابت در صنعت بانکداری ایران، با تکیه بر علم اقتصاد خرد و بکارگیری نظریه‌های اقتصادی، خاصه «کارایی» به عنوان مبنای ارزیابی و عندللزوم اصلاح قواعد و مقررات حقوقی مورد نقد و بررسی قرار گرفته است. در این پژوهش، به شیوه‌ی توصیفی – تحلیلی با بهره گیری از منابع کتابخانه‌ای براساس مدل تحلیلی نفع- ضرر و کاربرد ابزار عقلانیت در تئوریهای اقتصادی، پیامدهای مثبت و منفی مقررات زدایی و به تبع آن خصوصی سازی و مقررات گرایی، در قواعد و نهادهای سازنده‌ی حقوق رقابت در سیستم بانکی کشور مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و در نتیجه کارایی و کارآمدی قوانین البته با انجام پاره‌ای اصلاحات به دست آمده است.

Background Pediatric hypertension is the main cause of morbidity and mortality in pediatric populations. Purpose To examine pediatric hypertension in a clinical setting, we used the percentile rank approach and defined hypertension as that above the 95th percentile. Methods The present study was linked to the a national analytical cross-sectional community-based Iranian Children and Adolescents’ Psychiatric Disorders (IRCAP) survey. The survey was nationwide and funded by the National Institute of Medical Research Development. The IRCAP survey included 31,000 children and adolescents aged 6–18 years in all 31 Iran provinces. The current study included 1,035 children and adolescents and linked the data of the risk factors of cardiovascular disease only in Yazd province via random cluster sampling. Results Of the total participants, 456 (44.1%) were male and 579 (55.9%) were female. The mean age was 11.2±3.8 years (11.7±3.7 years for males, 11.0±3.6 years for females), while mean height was 146±20.0 cm overall, 147.2±22.0 cm for males, and 144.6±17.0 cm for females (P=0.009). The blood pressure distributions and percentiles were evaluated. Conclusion Here we determined age- and height-specific 50th, 90th, 95th, and 99th percentiles of systolic and diastolic blood pressures in Yazd boys and girls using 10-cm height intervals.

Introduction Flies due to transferring many of the pathogens, in different areas, especially in conditions temperate climates are medically important. The purpose of this study was to identify the species diversity of medically important flies in Ghaemshahr city. Materials and Methods This study was a descriptive-analytical survey from June of 2017 to May 2018 was carried out for one year. Plastic bottle traps With reverse span and insect netting were used for Captured flies. The flies were identified by validated keys after mounting. Results In this study, eight species of medically important flies including Lucilia sericata (6/2%), Lucilia Ceasar (19/9%), Calliphora vicina (2/6%), Sarcophaga variegata (4/6%), Sarcophaga africa (1/8%), Sarcophaga lehmanni (1/2%), Muscina stabulans (4/6%), and Musca domestica (51%) were hunted from three families of Muscidae (1869 number), Calliphoridae (965 number) and Sarcophagidae (258 number). The highest number of flies captured was in June (15/8%) and July (15/9%) and the lowest was in February (3%) and March (4/4%). Also, the highest number of flies captured were from rural areas (38.6%). Conclusion The diversity of flies and their abundance is high especially in June and July in Ghaemshahr city and more precise control measures should be done during this time.

Objectives: To identify the reasons for delayed reception of postexposure prophylaxis (PEP). Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a total of 1 407 individuals with animal bites who were referred to the Abadeh Rabies Treatment Center were investigated using the census method from January 2012 to December 2018. The patients were divided into two groups based on their delay times to referral and receive PEP: timely referral (less than 48 h after the bite) and delayed referral (equal to or longer than 48 h after the bite). Frequency, Chi-square, and logistic regression tests were used. Results:. The average delay time was (16.33±11.37) h. Low level of education (OR: 3.87; 95% CI: 1.19-12.54; P=0.02), active economic age (21-35 and 36-50 years-old, OR: 12.81; 95% CI: 3.16-51.97; P

Background: Caused by bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogens, diarrhea is the second leading cause of death among children under five. Two strains of E. coli, namely Enterotoxigenic, ETEC and Enterohemorrhagic EHEC are the most important causes of this disease in developing countries. EHEC is a major causative agent of bloody diarrhea and hemorrhagic uremic syndrome, while ETEC is the most important cause of diarrhea in neonates and travelers. Objective: To evaluate the immunologic properties of a subunit vaccine candidate comprising the main immunogenic epitopes from these two bacterial strains. Methods: The construct comprised of LTB and CfaB antigens from ETEC, and Intimin and Stx2B antigens from EHEC, was designed, analyzed and synthesized using bioinformatics methods. The chimeric gene was sub-cloned in the expression vector and expressed in E. coli host. The purified chimera protein was injected subcutaneously into the experimental animals. The production of specific antibodies was confirmed by immunological methods, and the protection capacity was evaluated by the challenge of immunized mice with the pathogenic bacteria. Results: Chimeric recombinant protein was able to increase IgG titer. Neutralization assay indicated that the antibodies generated against LtB moiety were able to neutralize ETEC toxin. In animal challenge study, all non-immune mice died within 3 days after the injection of toxin, but all immunized mice survived from Stx toxin. Conclusion: The immunity to both ETEC and EHEC bacteria is significant, and this structure can be considered as a candidate for vaccine production against these bacterial strains.

Purpose: This study was completed to assess the immunogenicity and safety of the FAKHRAVAC and BBIBP-CorV vaccines as a booster dose in the population with a history of receiving two doses of BBIBP-CorV vaccine. Methods: In this double-blind, parallel clinical trial, we randomly assigned healthy adults with a history of receiving two doses of the BBIBP-CorV vaccine, who then received either the FAKHRAVAC or BBIBP-CorV vaccine as a booster dose. The trial is registered in the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trial document depository (Code: IRCT20210206050259N4). Results: The outcomes that were monitored in this study were serum neutralizing antibody (Nab) activity, immunoglobulin G (IgG) level, local and systemic adverse reactions, serious adverse events, suspected unexpected serious adverse reactions, and medically attended adverse events. After administering vaccines to 435 participants, the most frequent local and systemic adverse reactions were tenderness and nausea in 23.7% and 1.4% of cases, respectively. All adverse events were mild, occurred at a similar incidence in the two groups, and were resolved within a few days. Conclusions: On the 14th day after the booster dose injection, the seroconversion rate (i.e., four-fold increase) of Nabs for seronegative participants were 87% and 84.6% in the FAKHRAVAC® and BBIBP-CorV groups, respectively. This study shows that the FAKHRAVAC® vaccine, as a booster dose, has a similar function to the BBIBP-CorV vaccine in terms of increasing the titer of virus-neutralizing antibodies, the amount of specific antibodies, and safety.

Objectives: To investigate the epidemiology of animal bites and associated factors in Abadeh district (central Iran) from 2012 to 2018. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 1 407 individuals with animal bites who were referred to the Abadeh Rabies Treatment Center were investigated by using the census method from 2012 to 2018. The variables included the victim’s demographic information (age, gender, occupation), the type of biting animals (dog, cat, and other animals), the domesticated and wild animals, the time of biting based on year and month, the residence location (urban or rural), the treatment status, and the anatomical location of the wounds. Results: The annual incidence rate of animal bites was 189.62 per 100 000 population. Totally 83.4% of the victims were male. The average age was (33.66±18.97) years and individuals in the age range of 36-50 years were greater at risk. Most of the animal bites were from dogs (77.8%). About two thirds (62.1%) of the bites were from household animals. A total of 57.1% of individuals lived in urban areas. Most victims were engaged in farming and animal husbandry. The highest prevalence of animal bites (37.4%) happened in the summer. None of the patients had any clinical signs of rabies. Conclusions: To reduce the incidence of animal bites, high-risk groups including farmers and ranchers should be educated about bite prevention, and it should be ensured that they are managed correctly.

Background: The population attributable risk (PAR) percent has used widely in public health policy. We aimed to calculate the attribute risk of hypertension due to hyperuricemia by Levin's formulas compare to direct PAR calculation method. Methods: This was a sub-study of Yazd Healthy Heart Cohort (YHHC). Overall, 1256 normotensive individuals were enrolled through multistage randomized cluster sampling and followed up for mean 9.8 years, from 2005-2015. The threshold cutoff point of the hyperuricemia was considered equal and more than 75th percentile that equal to 5.5 mg/dl for men and 4.3mg/dl for women. To calculate the attributable risk of hyperuricemia in developing hypertension, two methods were applied. Levin's formulas and direct PAR estimation by population risk calculation via exposure prevalence weighted formula. Multiple logistic regression was used for estimate of odds ratio (OR) of hyperuricemia in developing hypertension. We calculated Relative Risk (RR) from OR. The data were analyzed using SPSS software version 16. A significant level of 0.05 was considered. Results: Hypertension developed in 44.7% of individuals with uric acid level ≥ 75th percentile vs. 35.6% of other individuals (P=0.024). Attributable risk (AR) of hyperuricemia in hypertension incidence was 9.1%. PAR of hyperuricemia for hypertension incidence by using two methods mentioned before was 6%, 5.8% respectively. Conclusion: The results of the study confirmed the noticeable contribution of hyperuricemia as an independent other risk factor for the occurrence of hypertension. PAR of hyperuricemia for hypertension incidence by using two methods almost near was 6%, 5.8% respectively.

Objective: To investigate the epidemiological pattern of animal bites in Yazd Province, central Iran. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 8 545 individuals with animal bites who were referred to the Yazd Province Rabies Treatment Center were investigated using the census method from April 2013 to March 2017. The variables included: demographic information, household living condition, the type of biting animals, the domesticated and wild animals, the time of biting based on year, the residence location (urban or rural), and the treatment status. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics using Excel 2013, SPSS version 25 and Arc GIS 14.1 Software. Results: A total of 8 545 cases of animal bites were reported in Yazd province from 2013 to 2017. The most animal bites (with 4 253 case of bites) and the lowest animal bites (with 121 case of bites) occurred in Yazd and Bahabad district, respectively. The incidence of animal bites was 168.4 per 100 000 people during the five-year period. Most of cases (73.9%) occurred in urban areas. Dog and cat bites accounted for 47.6% and 47.4% of all cases, respectively. Most of animal bites were reported in the summer (29.4%). Sixty percent of the cases received incomplete treatments, while 40% of them received complete treatments. During this study, three positive cases of fatal rabies from dog bites were reported. Conclusions: The incidence of animal bites is high in Yazd province, and more patients are bitten by dog and cat. Hence, educational, preventive, and informative programs are required to reduce the incidence of animal bites.

Introduction: Taking into consideration the high impact of Diabetes Mellitus type II (DM II) on human's health, identification of risk factors to prevent its development seems essential. Further studies are needed to ensure the positive role of uric acid in the onset of diabetes. This study targeted at investigating the attributed risk of hyperuricemia for the onset of DM II. Methods: In the present study, 1641 non-diabetic people, selected through multi-stage random cluster sampling, were followed up for 10 years (2006 - 2016). During the study, data on the variables of the study were collected and entered in SPSS 16 which was used to analyze the data. To calculate the attributions of hyperuricemia in the risk of developing diabetes, Levin's formulas and attributable risk related to the prevalence of exposure during these ten years were used. Results: Findings showed that 54.8% of people with hyperuricemia suffered from DM II., whereas 28.2% of people with normal uric acid level developed diabetes. The Attributable Risk (AR) of hyperuricemia and 75th percentile of serum uric acid for DM II were calculated by the weighted attributable risk formula which was 3.6 % and 24.2 %, respectively. With the treatment of high uric acid, the probability of the incidence of diabetes in hyperuricemia patients was reduced to 24.2% over a 10-year period. Conclusion: In this study, there was a significant correlation between high uric acid level and the risk of diabetes. Therefore, necessary measurements should be taken to treat the hyperuricemia patients in order to prevent the incidence of diabetes caused by high blood acid uric.

Introduction: Brucellosis is one of the most common zoonotic diseases in many parts of the world, which has made problems for the public health and the livestock economics. The aim of this study was to investigate the epidemiological status of brucellosis disease in Abadeh county, Fars province, Iran. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the demographic and epidemiologic data of 985 patients with brucellosis who referred to the health centers and clinics of Abadeh county from 2011 to 2017 were evaluated. In order to analyze the data, the frequency distribution, Chi-Square and independent t-test statistical models were used through the SPSS version 25. A significant level of 0.05 was considered. Results: The incidence of the disease in 2011-2017 was 128.78 per 100,000 population. Most cases of the disease were reported in the spring and summer. The highest number of people with the brucellosis consisted of housewives (28.7%), ranchers (25.4%), and students and pupil (17.8%). In addition, 56 percent of the patients were the rural inhabitants. We found that 62.6 percent of the patients had a history of contact with the livestock and non-pasteurized cheese was the source of infection transmission to humans in 50.2 percent of the cases. The mean age of the patients was 34.3 ± (19.35) years and the age group of 25-34 years had the highest number of patients (20.9). which is the prevalence of the disease in men was one and a half times higher than this rate in women. Conclusion: Regarding the high prevalence of brucellosis disease in Abadeh city, training about the ways of disease transmission should be provided to various population groups, especially the individuals who are at risk.

The recent viral infection disease pandemic, caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has resulted in a global public health crisis. Iran, as one of the countries that reported over five million infected cases by September 2021, has been concerned with the urgent development of effective vaccines against SARS-CoV-2. In this paper, we report the results of a study on potency and safety of an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine candidate (FAKHRAVAC) in a preclinical study so as to confirm its potential for further clinical evaluation. Here, we developed a pilot-scale production of FAKHRAVAC, a purified inactivated SARS-CoV-2 virus vaccine candidate that induces neutralizing antibodies in Balb/c mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, and non-human primates (Rhesus macaques—RM). After obtaining ethical code of IR.IUMS.REC.1399.566, immunizations of animals were conducted by using either of three different vaccine dilutions; High (H): 10 μg/dose, Medium (M): 5 μg/dose, and Low (L): 1 μg/dose, respectively. In the process of screening for viral seeds, viral strains that resulted in the most severe clinical manifestation in patients have been isolated for vaccine development. The viral seed produced the optimal immunity against SARS-CoV-2 virus, which suggests a possible broader neutralizing ability against SARS-CoV-2 strains. The seroconversion rate at the H-, M-, and L-dose groups of all tested animals reached 100% by 28 days after immunization. These data support the eligibility of FAKHRAVAC vaccine candidate for further evaluation in a clinical trial.

Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is a rare autoimmune skin blistering disease, characterized by the presence of autoantibodies against hemidesmosomal autoantigens. Cytokine expression is altered in BP patients, and several of these differently expressed cytokines, including IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-8, and TNF-α, contribute to disease pathogenesis. Since genetic polymorphisms in the genes of these cytokines might be implicated in susceptibility to BP disease, we aimed at testing this implication in susceptibility to BP in an Iranian cohort. Blood samples were collected from the subjects and genomic DNA was extracted. To detect the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), IL-1α (rs1800587), IL-1β (rs1143627, rs16944, rs1143634), IL-8 (rs4073), and TNF-α (rs1799964, rs1800630, rs1799724, and rs361525) genes were genotyped in BP patients and healthy controls as well as IL-8 (rs4073) in pemphigus vulgaris (PV) patients. Quantitative gene expression was evaluated by RT-PCR analysis. A significant difference was observed in the distribution of genotypes or alleles of IL-8 SNP between the BP patients and controls. The A-allele of IL-8 SNP is significantly more prevalent in the control individuals compared to the BP patient. To further validate this observation, we included PV patients as an additional control. Again, the A-allele of IL-8 SNP is significantly more prevalent in the PV compared to the BP patients. While we observed a trend toward significant differences regarding alleles of TNF-α rs1799724 as well as alleles of TNF-α rs1799964, this difference was, however, not evident after correction for multiple analysis. There was no significant difference in all other studied SNPs. In contrast to IL-1α, IL-1β, and TNF-α, IL-8 gene expression levels were significantly higher in the patients than that of controls. The minor allele in IL-8 SNP might play a protective role in susceptibility to BP in Iranian patients. Although higher expression levels of IL-8 gene was found in the patients compared with healthy controls, these levels, however, suggest no association with the examined polymorphism. Moreover, further investigation revealed an elevation in gene expression between wild and polymorphic genotypes of IL-1α rs1800587 and TNF-α rs361525 in the patient group and these SNPs are therefore associated with altering the levels of gene expression.

Background and Objectives: In arid and semi-arid regions, wastewater reuse has become an important element in agriculture. However, irrigation with this resource can be either beneficial or harmful, depending on the wastewater characteristics. The aim of this research was to investigate the soil bacterial and crops quality irrigated with treated wastewater. Material and Methods: This research was conducted on a maize field near the wastewater treatment plant in Shahr-e-kord in summer,2011. Plots were arranged in a randomized complete block design in 3 replications and 2 treatments, well water (W1) with fertilizer and effluent (W2). Results: At the end of growth season, soil samples were collected from depth of 0-5 and 5-15 cm and plant samples consisting of old and new leaves and seeds were collected for bacteriological analysis. According to bacteriological analysis, total number of positive lactose bacteria, total and fecal coliforms in depth of 0-5 cm was 42% more than depth of 5-15 cm. In the case of old leaves, total number of coliform and fecal coliform was 88 and 40 MPN/100 mL respectively. Moreover, for new leaves, it was 38 and 2 MPN/100 ml respectively. Conclusion: According the results, number of indicator bacteria in soil is decreased (about 35%) by passing time.

A cross-sectional study with a random cluster sampling design was carried out to estimate the seroprevalence of bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) in non-vaccinated dairy herds in Hamedan province, west of Iran. Simple random sampling was used for selection of cattle in each herd. Informative data about each herd and selected animals were recorded by the farm manager in a provided questionnaire. Blood samples were collected from 492 animals in 41 industrial herds. A commercial indirect ELISA test was used to determine the seropositivity against BHV-1. The individual and herd seroprevalence for BHV-1 were 58.74% and 82.93%, respectively. The intra-herd prevalences were ranged from 16.70% to 100%. An experiment was conducted to study the effects of dietary energy and protein dilution and time of feed replacement from starter to grower on performance of broilers with a 2×3 factorial arrangement in a completely randomized design with 480 day-old broilers from 1-42 day of age. Experimental treatments were 5% energy and protein diluted diets and starter diet was fed to 7, 14 or 21 days and finisher diet was fed beginning at 35 days. Introduction & Objective: Brucellosis is an important zoonosis considered a serious hazard to public health . Human brucellosis is caused by one of the four species of the brucella genus: B. melitensis is principally found in goats and sheep, B. abortus in cattle, B. suis in swine and B. canis in dogs. Vaccination of young animals, is a strategy to decrease the incidence rate of brucellosis in humans. The objective of this study is to give an estimate of vaccination coverage in animals (sheep or goats and cattles) and its effect on human brucellosis incidence rate. Materials & Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the data on reported human cases of brucellosis originated from Hamadan health deputy and the data on animal vaccination was collected from provincial veterinary of Hamadan. The relationship between the animals vaccination coverage with the incidence of human brucellosis was assessed with the SPSS software. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to evaluate the correlation between animal vaccination and human brucellosis. Results: According to provincial veterinary of Hamadan reports, animal vaccination coverage (percentage) from 2002 to 2008 was between 17.5% in 2002 and increased to 60% in 2008 in young sheep and goats, and vaccination coverage against brucellosis in young cattles was 5.6% in 2002 and increased to 38% in 2008. According to Hamadan health deputy human brucellosis incidence rate was 86 per 100000 persons in 2002 and reduced to 44.7 per 100000 persons in 2008. Statistical analysis showed that Pearson correlation coefficient of cattle vaccination and human brucellosis(r = -0.78), sheep's vaccination and human incidence rate (r = - 0.38 ) are negative but incomplete. Conclusion: Vaccination of young animals was effective in reducing the incidence rate of human brucellosis. Our findings emphasize the importance of the combination of health education and animal vaccination programs for controlling such zoonosis diseases and highlight the need for cooperation between public health officials and veterinary officers

The interaction between chick type and xylanase supplementation (Avizyme 1300) of a wheat based diet was investigated using a 3×2 factorial arrangement. The diet (645g wheat/kg) was supplemented with 0 or 1g/kg xylanase and fed to broilers, broiler breeders, or pullets from 1 to 19 day-old. The basal diet was formulated based on the average of the nutrient requirements of all bird types investigated. Body weight, feed intake, feed: gain ratio, upper intestinal digesta content viscosity, and relative weights of gastrointestinal organs to body weight were determined.
