El uso de la energía térmica es indispensable para la mayoría de los procesos industriales y la mayor parte de esta energíatérmica es obtenida mediante combustibles fósiles, lo cual considera un alto costo de operación y altas emisiones de CO2;es por ello por lo que las investigaciones se han centrado en la obtención de la energía térmica solar. El objetivo de estetrabajo es diseñar y fabricar un prototipo de concentración solar tipo parabólico para la producción de vapor. El prototipose implementó en la Costa Chica del estado de Guerrero por su alta incidencia de radiación solar, 6.5 kKW-h/m2-día. Lacámara de concentración de vapor tiene un volumen de 100 ml, la cual está fabricada de acero galvanizado. Se instalarontres sensores de temperatura, los cuales se colocaron uno dentro de la cámara, otro en el foco de la antena y el tercero seutilizó para medir temperatura ambiente; también se incluye un sensor de presión para obtener los diagramas P-T. Seutilizó una antena tipo offset de 85 cm de diámetro mayor con espejos para reflejar la radiación solar hacia el foco de laparábola, en la cual se alcanzan temperaturas de hasta 350 °C. En los resultados se presentará los perfiles de temperaturadentro de la cámara y en el foco de la parábola, los diagramas P-T con presiones de 60 psi, 80 psi y 100 psi; y la eficienciadel sistema.

During the 20th century in Mexico, organochlorine pesticides were applied intensively to combat various problems. The National Campaign for Malaria Eradication implied the intensive use of the pesticide dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT). On the other hand, hexachlorobenzene and γ-hexachlorocyclohexane (Lindane) were used for protection of seeds and agricultural crops, causing a prolonged exposure of population. For this reason, this study evaluated the magnitude and distribution of contamination by these organochlorine pesticides in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, through the analysis of breast milk. From both urban and rural locations, 171 samples of volunteer donor mothers were collected in the seven regions of the State . The chemical analysis was performed by gas chromatography. Median concentrations of total DDT were 0.833 mg/kg in lipid base, while hexachlorobenzene (HCB) and β-hexachlorocyclohexane (β-HCH) presented 0.009 and 0.004 mg/kg, respectively. Comparisons for concentrations of the compounds between regions were made likewise. There were statistically significant differences in total DDT concentrations (p < 0.05), with higher levels in the Costa Chica (0.961 mg/kg) and Tierra Caliente (1.087 mg/kg). Meanwhile, the Costa Grande presented the highest concentration of β-HCH throughout the state (0.018 mg/kg). Women from rural areas had higher levels of all pesticides (with the exception of β-HCH) than those living in urban locations. The information generated may be useful to the design of studies that explain the role of these pollutants in the health of the population of this region of Mexico, and for the establishment of public policies and prevention and control programs.

We propose a model for several alternative approaches to the prediction of the probabilities involved by processing the obtained signals sent by the players, which may be companies competing in the market. They set a minimum level of expected utility and are interested in the probability that this expectation will be satisfied. These approaches are analyzed using Monte Carlo experiments, developed in the framework of Game Theory and different statistical models to make predictions about the probability of success or to obtain a certain utility. The behavior of the different proposed strategies is established, considering that the errors follow a Normal, double Exponential and Cauchy distribution. A comparison is made of the results given by the algorithms programmed R and SAS, finding that R are better in terms of, however GLIMIX PRC MIXED of SAS has lower values of V2 in all cases. RESUMEN Se propone un modelo para varios enfoques alternativos de la predicción de las probabilidades involucradas a partir de procesar las señales obtenidas enviadas por los jugadores, que pueden ser empresas compitiendo en el mercado. Ellos fijan un nivel mínimo de la utilidad esperada y se interesan en la probabilidad de que se satisfaga esta expectativa. Estos enfoques son analizados usando experimentos de Monte Carlo, desarrollado en el marco de la Teoría de Juegos y diferentes modelos estadísticos para hacer predicciones sobre la probabilidad de éxito o de obtener una cierta utilidad. Se establece el comportamiento de las distintas estrategias propuestas considerando que los errores siguen una distribución normal, doble exponencial y Cauchy. Se hace una comparación de los resultados dados por los algoritmos programados el R y SAS, encontrando que son mejores los de R en términos de, sin embargo GLIMIX PRC MIXED de SAS tiene valores menores de V2 en todos los casos.

Señor editor: Las transformaciones sociales que en décadas recientes se han registrado en América Latina han impactado en las condiciones de vida de la población y, en especial, en la salud de las mujeres, incluyendo la salud sexual y reproductiva. Según el Fondo de Desarrollo de las Naciones Unidas para la Mujer, el Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas, la Comisión Económica para América Latina, la Organización Mundial de la Salud y otros, los problemas relacionados con la salud reproductiva siguen siendo la principal causa de morbimortalidad de las mujeres en edad reproductiva en todo el mundo.

This study was conducted with the objective of determining whether there is a depuration of organochlorine pesticides in breast milk according to breastfeeding time. In total, 171 samples from mothers that lived in the State of Guerrero, Mexico were analyzed. There was a weak negative relationship between pp'DDE (r = -0.216) and Σ-DDT (r = -0.222) concentrations with the days of lactation. In a comparison analysis, a statistically significant decrease of pp'DDT and pp'DDE levels was observed, as well as the Σ-DDT from the first to the fifth week of lactation. A reduction of 0.188 mg/kg lipid of pp'DDE and 0.181 mg/kg lipid of Σ-DDT per week was obtained. HCB, β-HCH and op'DDT concentrations were low and had no major fluctuations between subgroups. The low levels found and the observed reduction in time involve less exposure to the infant to these pollutants. Through this methodology changes in levels of certain organochlorine pesticides in various stages of human milk production may be shown.

[Resumen] En el documento se presenta el índice de satisfacción que tuvieron los turistas de los servicios públicos y privados que le fueron ofertados durante su estancia en Acapulco. Es un instrumento que se le propuso a la Secretaría de Turismo Municipal, y que lo utilizó en los periodos vacacionales (semana santa, verano y fin de año) durante el trienio 2012- 2015. La finalidad del estudio y la aplicación del cuestionario fue identificar el perfil socioeconómico y demográfico del visitante, además del gasto que realizaron. Para la construcción del índice de satisfacción se tuvo como punto de partida la propuesta metodológica realizada por la Secretaría de Turismo Federal, y para que los resultados fueran más fiables se empleó el Alfa de Crobanch a los constructos de la encuesta. Una vez obtenidos y analizados los resultados ¿Qué sigue? Qué planteamientos y/o programas de políticas públicas se deben realizar para que las debilidades (vulnerabilidades) que se identificaron se conviertan en fortalezas para subsanar los riesgos que pudieran presentarse en los próximos periodos vacacionales y ser más competitivos. [Abstract] The document presents the satisfaction rate that had tourists from the public and private services that were offered to them during their stay in Acapulco. It is an instrument that was proposed to the Municipal Tourism Secretariat, and that was utilized during holiday periods (Easter, summer and year end) from 2012 to 2015.The purpose of the study and application of the questionnaire was to identify the socioeconomic and demographic profile of visitors, besides spending they made. For the construction of satisfaction index, Methodological proposal made by the Federal Ministry of Tourism was taken as a starting point, and to make the results more reliable Crobanch's Alpha was used to analyze the constructs of survey. A time obtained and analyzed the results. What follows? What approaches and/or programs of public policy should be make (vulnerabilities) weaknesses that were identified to become strengths to address the risks that could arise in the coming holidays and be more competitive?

This paper presents a brief demonstration of Scholz’s third conjecture [1] for n numbers such that their minimum chain addition is star type [2]. The demonstration is based on the proposal of an algorithm that takes as input the star-adding chain of a number n, and returns a string in addition to x = 2n - 1 of length equal to l (n) + n - 1. As for any type addition chain star of a number n, this chain is minimal demonstrates the Scholz’s third Conjecture for such numbers.

Se realiza un estudio de cómo los turistas que acuden a Acapulco valoran las categorías autorrealización y autoconcepto. Estas juegan un papel importante en la valoración del uso del tiempo libre y la satisfacción. Este estudio fija la importancia de indicadores y su interrelación a partir de estudiar los datos suministrados por una muestra de 399 turistas. Los resultados obtenidos permiten identificar en que aspectos se debe trabajar para mejorar la satisfacción de los turistas para tener un mejor desempeño de este destino en el mercado turístico.
