This research introduces a novel approach to intelligent IoT-based audio signal processing for healthcare applications. Leveraging advanced feature extraction techniques such as Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) and Wavelet Transform, combined with sophisticated classification models like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Support Vector Machines (SVMs), the proposed method demonstrates superior performance in accurately classifying healthcare data. Through extensive experimentation and analysis, the method achieves high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, while exhibiting robustness in discriminating between different classes and maintaining precision in classification, as evidenced by its high AUC-ROC and AUC-PR values. The ablation study provides insights into the significance of key components and parameters, offering guidance for further refinement and optimization of the method. Overall, the proposed method holds promise for revolutionizing healthcare management through proactive monitoring and intervention, leading to improved patient outcomes and healthcare delivery. In this study we compare 4 weeks of isometric versus dynamic resistance training with SWD ON pain and functioning among adults with osteoarthritis of the knee. A total of 30 volunteer subjects with OA of the knee, Group A: (Dynamic resistance training with shortwave diathermy) -n = 15 (7 males and 8 females) and Group B: (Isometric resistance training with shortwave diathermy) -n = 15 (8 males and 7 females). Strength exercises for the legs, 3 times weekly for 4 weeks. Dynamic group: exercises across a functional range of motion; isometric: exercises at discrete joint angles. The time to descend and ascend a flight of stairs and to get down and up off of the floor. Knee pain was assessed immediately after each functional task. The VAS, WOMAC and Stair Ascending and descending score Index was used to assess perceived pain, stiffness, and functional ability. Measures of pain and functioning were significantly and favourably affected in the training groups. The improvements in the 2 training groups as a result of their respective therapies were not significantly different. Dynamic or isometric resistance training with SWD improves functional ability and reduces knee joint pain of patients with knee OA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective. This research is a step put forth for the further progression in this field, to find out the effectiveness of hip abductor muscles strengthening exercises along with the quadriceps exercises, in reducing knee pain and improving the functional performance of knee joint in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Material and Method. 30 subjects with knee osteoarthritis were divided into two groups randomly. Group A was provided with general quadriceps strengthening exercises along with short wave diathermy. While Group B was provided with quadriceps strengthening and hip abductors strengthening exercises in conjunction with SWD. Then both the groups were tested by using the following four scales: 11 Point Numeric Rating Scale, WOMAC Scale, Step Test and Timed Up and Go Test. Results. After providing the physiotherapy management to the patients both the groups showed significant improvement in all the four scales, 11 Point Numeric Rating Scale, WOMAC Scale, Step test and Timed Up and Go Test. Aim: This study aimed to compare the effect of different flavored kinds of milk on salivary pH value in 6 to 14 years old children., Materials and Methods: The impact of these different kinds of flavored milk on the salivary pH is evaluated between two groups of children, caries-active group ( n = 35) constituted children who had decayed missing filled tooth (DMFT) ≥2, and the caries-free group ( n = 35) constituted children who had DMFT = 0. Four different flavors of milk are taken for the study, and plain sweetened milk is chosen as the control baseline. The endogenous pH of the salivary samples is measured at baseline and after consumption of the flavored milk immediately and then at 5-, 10-, 15-, and 30-minute intervals. The results are statistically analyzed by using the paired t -test and analysis of variance (ANOVA)., Results: It is shown in the present study that caries-active group subjects had a more evident salivary pH fall than the caries-free group subjects which was statistically significant. For caries-active group, subject's salivary pH value took a longer duration to return to baseline pH as compared to caries-free subjects. However, salivary pH value is restored to standard/baseline value after 30 minutes for all the flavored milk taken in both groups; hence, their intake can be regarded safe for the oral environment., Conclusion: It is concluded from the current study that the consumption of flavored milk can be considered as non-cariogenic for children., Clinical Significance: In the present study, the salivary pH fall in both caries-active and caries-free subjects was found above the critical pH level.
