Background: disregarding safety requirements has made accidents of workshop mobile cranes as one of the main factors of injuries and death in civil-industrial projects. Since safety culture considered one of the most important activist indices while investigating the commitment of superior managers and other members of the organization to regard safety requirements, the present study aims at investigating the organization’s safety culture in civil and industrial projects and its relationship with regarding safety requirements of mobile cranes. Methods: the current study is descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional research conducted within 7 civil-industrial projects from 2018 to 2019. To investigate satisfaction levels of safety requirements, 141cranes have been used through a 72-item researcher-made checklist adapted from ASME B30.5 2018 standard and protective regulation of transportation vehicles and moving materials and objects of workshops. The research team has confirmed the validity and reliability of the checklist with CVR=0.68, CVI=0.82, and Cronbach’s alpha=α-0.90. To estimate safety culture levels 677 individuals of staff such as cranes operator, technician, expert, minor managers, middle managers, and superior managers have participated in this study through random sampling method, interview, and completion of safety culture questionnaire. To analyze data Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, one way ANOVA and linear regression utilizing SPSS v25 have been employed (P-value < 0.05). Results: age average of study individuals equaled with 39.8 and average of their work experiences equaled with 12.29. Results out of this study revealed that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between organizations’ safety culture and consideration levels of safety requirements in mobile cranes. So that parameter of management commitment (0.001), safety preference degree (0.004), staff training (0.012) and information exchange level (0.041) have the most relationship with consideration levels of safety requirements. But there was no meaningful relationship between work conditions and consideration levels of safety requirements (0.075). conclusion: based on results of this study it seems that accidents resultant from mobile cranes occur more in uncommitted organizations so it is important to develop organizations’ safety culture through performance of academic interventions and inform organizations’ staff especially superior management and consequently increase the safety factor of mobile cranes in civil-industrial projects.

Introduction: Noise is considered as a risk factor for a wide range of industrial environments, including construction industry. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between job stress due to noise exposure with sleep disturbance. Methods: This descriptive-analytic study was carried out among 134 workers of one of the construction industry in the country. For assessment of noise exposure of individuals, in accordance with ISO 9612: 2009 was measured by the occupational exposure level of 8 hours. To assess occupational stress, the Parker Job Stress Questionnaire and Epworth's (Epworth) Questionnaire were used to assess sleep disturbance. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Pearson correlation test and multivariate regression in SPSS version 23 software. Results: The results of Pearson correlation test and multivariate regression showed that noise can cause sleep disturbance by causing occupational stress in workers. Based on the results of this study, noise exposure, occupational stress and sleep disturbance have a direct and positive relationship. With increasing in noise exposure, occupational stress and sleep disturbance also increases. Conclusion: Assessing the noise exposure of workers in the construction industry has shown that noise is a very important factor in the psychological problems of workers in this industry. In addition to the direct effects of noise on sleep disturbance, it can indirectly exacerbate sleep disturbances. This article confirms the necessity to pay attention to the conditions of this work group.

Nowadays, the change and dynamism of organizations are the basic principles; therefore, managers should modify the goals, plans and work procedures so that they can be compatible with the environment condition. The management of HSE is not excepted from this principle. The aim of this study was to evaluate the processes affecting HSE. This study was a cross-sectional and applied study using the review of relevant documentation, interviews and brainstorming with experts, and the reviews of Best Practice to identify the HSE's processes. After checking the HSE activities, the 5 processes of HSE training, managing the risks, events, emergencies and contractors and any changes in the other processes of the organization were also suggested. The results showed that a process approaching the form of an intervention programed can be provided in order to have a better interaction between the HSE activities and organizations processes and workplace health promotion for the HSE activities.

Traffic violations and aggression are often regarded as social issues with important social and economic consequences. The present study investigated the potential contribution of demographic variables, driving anger, and aggression on the prediction of aggressive driving behaviors. The sample population consisted of 168 male drivers with an age range of 19–30 years old and the average driving experience of 9 years. All participants filled out the self-reported scales that assess driving anger, aggression dimension, and driving behaviors. Based on the participants' responses to the trait-anger dimensions in Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, they were re-categorized in three driving anger categories of high-trait-anger, medium-trait-anger, and low-trait-anger. All of the participants had a driving certificate. The results of this research indicate that: (1) for almost all variables, the effect of anger was significant, (2) anger situation had a contribution in the prediction of lapse, errors, and violations, (3) demographic variables, driving anger, and aggression were all involved in a complementary manner in predicting the driving behavior, and (4) aggression was the best predictor of the violations. Future research is recommended to continue to investigate the effect of various environmental, social, psychological, and personality factors on risky driving behaviors in order to identify appropriate treatment and prevention strategies for this societal concern.
