Objective: to develop a prototype portable register for extended esophageal pHmetry examination with low cost materials. Materials and Methods: Preclinical research, pilot test with preliminal data to evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of the prototype. From the product assembly and the software used for data reading and measurement. In this software are written the codes for reading the pH values and preparation of the Arduino plate for data transmission. The indicator for pH reading calculates the average value every 10 measurements and the result obtained is displayed as long as this process is necessary. In this same code, the display buttons are configured as well as the calibration mode for each buffer solution. After mounting and proper calibration of the Arduino and Commercial instruments, both containing two channels were tested in 10 substances in cycles. First, the channels were immersed in a solution containing beer and the pH was read in the times 0 s, 30 s, 90 s, 120 s, 150 s and 180 s in both arduous and commercial for comparative purposes. At the end of the reading, the channels were immersed in water for 3 min for cleaning and then tested in a new solution. The same cycle was repeated for the other solutions, which are: orange juice, energy, mineral water, isotonic, vinegar, coca-cola, guava juice, grape juice and guarana. Results: The differences statistically: 180s of the energetic (p = 0.0178*); 60s Mineral Water time (p = 0.0178*); 150s and 180s of the Isotonic (p = 0.0371* and p = 0.0330* respectively); 0s Coca-Cola time (p = 0.0246*); and 150s Grape juice time (p = 0.0230*); 0s orange juice time (p = 0.0371*); 0s energy time (p = 0.0330*); 0s and 30s vinegar time (p = 0.0075* and p = 0.0216* respectively). Conclusion: The analysis, as to its performance regarding the precision in the recording of pH values (aqueous solutions) are satisfactory for presenting results very close to the measurements indicated by the commercial recorder, in simultaneous measurements during the testing phase.

Objective: Evaluate the perception of nursing students from a public university regarding the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) on the topic of tuberculosis diagnosis. Method: Quanti-qualitative research, carried out in the Nursing Undergraduate Course of a public university, in june 2019, with the participation of 30 nursing students, who answered a self-administered questionnaire. It was used percentage and Pearson's Chi-square for statistical analysis. For the analysis of qualitative data, the free word evocation technique was used. Results: The study shows that 73.3% of academics reported that the scenario developed in the OSCE exam contributed to the exercise of nursing in the face of tuberculosis diagnosis, 76.7% considered it necessary that Nursing Courses should modify the preparation of academics in relation to tuberculosis and 76.7% recommend developing greater skill for nursing consultations and home visits to patients. Conclusion: It is concluded that the exam's potentialities were highlighted, discussing its benefits in relation to learning needs.

The nursing team of an Intensive Care Unit is subjected to several injuries related to their physical and mental health. The large number of stressors present in this environment predispose to conditions in which they can affect the quality of care provided by these professionals, their interpersonal relationships and their quality of life. Therefore, it is intended to report an educational action on self-care as a strategy for the prevention of Burnout Syndrome in nursing professionals in an adult ICU. An activity was carried out, product of the problematization theory, to socialize knowledge about Burnout Syndrome, which is still little known by professionals, encouraging them to carry out self-care practices. During the time of socialization, the professionals were free to express their feelings about their work environment. Among the reports, can be highlighted the difficulty in self-perception, intra and interprofessional relationships, failures in effective communication and problems of managerial and bureaucratic nature. Such feelings externalize issues that directly and indirectly corroborate physical and mental exhaustion, high levels of tension and risks to the health of the professional and the quality of care. Through this work, it is noted that the Burnout Syndrome is a topic of great relevance for these professionals, whose work scenario requires resilient psychosocial conditions in the face of adversities, and who propose to these actors of care a special attention focused on their assistance and self-care.

On 23 October 2002 the Centro Regional de Saúde Pública do Norte (CRSPN) was informed that several people had been admitted to hospital with gastroenteritis. Preliminary information collected that day showed that the patients, resident in different municipalities, had attended a lunch party in a restaurant on 20 October.
