An easy, sensitive and accurate spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of Lisinopril (LNP) in pure and tablet formulations based on derivatization reaction with 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde (2HNA). The derivatization reaction was carried out in methanol solvent at pH-5.5 at 95±2C for 15 min. The linear calibration curve was obtained that obeyed the Beer's law within the concentration range 5-50 μgmL-1 of LNP at 433 nm with a coefficient of determination R²=0.996. The recovery was in the range from 98.25-101.82 with molar absorptivity of drug 9×103 mole-1cm-1. The method was accurate and precise (intra-day variation 0.05-0.97% and inter-day 0.07-1.6%), with limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) 0.264 μgmL-1 and 0.8 μgmL-1, respectively. According to reports, the last comprehensive fish records from the Indus River were published in 1977. Although few recent studies have been conducted, they are limited to some confined localities, and hence there was a gap of comprehensive fish diversity analysis of the Indus River in Sindh province section. Therefore, the present investigation was performed to describe the fish fauna of the Indus River from its northern to its southern extremities. In order to establish fish diversity and distribution, the study was accomplished from June 2016 to May 2017 covering 8 sampling locations across the river. A total of 44 fish species, belonging to 35 genera, included in 18 families, and 9 orders were recorded. Family Cyprinidae was the most specious with 13 species followed by Bagridae and Cichlidae with 4 species each, and Siluridae with3 species. Alpha Diversity Indices study showed that the ichthyofauna diversity of the River was not high in comparison with previous studies. Shannon's index for the whole Indus River locations was 0.95 and the evenness index was 0.77. Sustained populations of exotic fish species were shown to have established in the Indus River. Seven quality control (7QC) tools are used for reducing defects during manufacturing. These tools are highly effective in productivity and quality improvement. In this case, the study of the 7QC tools was applied in an automotive factory in order to reduce paint shop defects. Within four months the production line was inspected, defects were categorized and the 7QC tools were successfully applied, reducing the overall defect rate by 70%.
