Hybrid laminate composites based on two natural long fiber combinations as jute/coir and jute/doum fibers at different layers stacking were successfully manufactured by using illite clay particles at various content (5−20 wt%). Mechanical and rheological tests were conducted on the elaborated composite in real-time and after aging in order to investigate the effects of clay incorporation, natural fiber hybridization, and long-term aging on mechanical, physical, and morphological properties. The properties of the laminate composites were mainly influenced by the use of hybrid matrices at different clay content and hybrid fibrous reinforcement (jute/coir and jute/doum), fiber orientations ([0] and [45]), and fiber architecture (canvas and matt). The mechanical properties of realized hybrid laminate composites increased with the addition of clay up to an optimum value at 15 wt%. The complex modulus G* confirms that the laminates have an elastic behavior. The long-term aging of laminates has also been investigated by choosing 5 years as long-term duration. This choice, not random, represents moderately the period of maturity of the functional composite parts used in different industrial sectors. The results of aged laminates show an abyssal decrease of rigidity (54%), tensile strength (20%) and complex modulus (97%) and a highly considerable increase of strain at yield up to 54%. This decrease is mainly attributed to the relaxation phenomenon of polymeric chains of epoxy and deterioration of natural fibres.

Introduction: We aimed to discuss through a description of three cases of floating elbow in children the management and outcome aspect. Observations: Case 1: 11-year-old boy. Admitted for for a left floating elbow made by a stage III supracondylar fracture associated with a fracture of both bones of the forearm. He was managed by surgery (K-wire) for both fractures. Case 2: 4-year-old girl admitted for bilateral floating elbow made by a fracture of the external condyl, associated with a fracture of both bones of the forearm on the right side. In the left upper limb a fracture of the upper extremity of the humerus, stage IV supracondylar fracture and, epiphyseal detachment of the radius. She under-went an orthopaedic reduction for the epiphyseal radial detachment and surgical treatment of the other fractures. Case 3: 7-year-old patient admitted following a roadway accident, with the lesion assessment of a fracture of the humerus associated with a fracture of the olecranon, of the radial head and diaphyseal fractures of the two bones of the forearm. She received surgical treatment for all of her injuries. With a follow-up of 15 months, the evolution was considered satisfactory. Conclusion: The floating elbow is both a rare and a complex pathology in children, which combines several concomitant lesions of different severity and prognosis. A precise lesion assessment is necessary for an adequate treatment.

This study aims to develop a new low carbon composite material using illite clay and titanium dioxide as a stabilizing and whitening agent. It investigates the effect of the inclusion of titanium dioxide nano-powder and illite particles on optical, thermal, and mechanical performances of polypropylene (PP) matrix. The composite samples based on binary (PP-illite) and ternary (PP-illite-titania) composites at various particle contents of illite-titania have been manufactured by using a melt-compounding technique. The results showed that the low loading of titania has a significant effect on the whiteness index of the composites. The comparative analysis also demonstrated that the thermal stability was increased by approximately 7% in the case of the composites reinforced by the illite-titania at 18:2 wt%. Moreover, the addition of titania powder leads to ensure stabilization of tensile strength properties for all composites and also allowing Young’s modulus to gain increase of 83% for the composites reinforced by 2 wt% of titania powder. As for the addition of titanium dioxide until 5 wt%, an improvement in the aesthetic appearance of the composites is well noted by slightly decreasing the other specific properties. By combining the useful with the pleasant, and from different results obtained, it is proposed to use an optimal percentage of titania is less than 2% without impacting the hygroscopic and resistance of ternary composites and enhancing the rigidity of polymer products.

The Non-union is a frequent complication of the femoral neck fracture. Its genesis implicates several factors in particular the age, the characteristics of the fracture, the state of the femoral head and the type of the treatment (absence ortherapeutic imperfection). Several techniques of femoral valgus osteotomy were described for the treatment of these non-union, our technique using the ?dynamic hip screw? is an original therapeutic method which gives good performances. Our study concerns 09 cases of femoral neck non-union treated by valgus osteotomy at the university hospitalMohammed VI of Marrakech from January 2013 to August 2016.The averageage of our patients was 46 years. The valgus angle of the osteotomy was between 25? and 40?with an average of 29?. All our patients were healed with satisfying functional results. Indeed the type of fracture and his initial treatment also the type and the characteristic of the non-union doesn?t influence the consolidation. Femoral head necrosis is a frightening complication which evolves on its own account and may occur at anytime. It is a significant factor for functional degradation and no cases have been noticed in our series. The quality of the results which we got, encourages us to suggest this treatment in all femoral neck non-union cases among the young patients, if the head is supposed alive.

Pure subtalar dislocation is a rare affection. Herewe report the case of a youngfemalpatient presentinga pure internalsubtalar dislocation as a result of a domesticaccident. Sheunderwentan orthopedic therapy, achieving a good functionaloutcome.

We report one rare case of overriding impacted symphysis by lateral compression injury of the pelvis. A 21-year-old male presented a disruption of the pubic symphysis following a car accident with lateral injury. The patients radiographs revealed a displacement of the left part of the symphysis behind the right one and sacro-iliac disruption. CT scan confirmed a left posteriorly displaced pubic symphysis and a right sacro-iliac disruption without any fracture There were no additional injuries. Open reduction and internal fixation was necessary to reduce displacement and fixation of the pubic symphysis with a plate, and screwing of the right sacroiliac disjunction. One year after injury,there was no pain in the pelvis,urinal and sexual function were normal. This lesion is secondary to lateral compression injury with internal rotation of the left part of the pelvis. It can be classified in the type B2 of Tiles classification. It is a rare condition because this mechanism very often leeds to a fracture of the pelvic ring.

A 32 year-old patient has a bi-ventricular insufficiency that had developed over the past 2 months revealed by cardiac symptomatology. Echocardiography revealed bi-ventricular dilated cardiomyopathy. He had skin lesions for three years that were clinically and histologically identified as psoriasis. The association of cardiomyopathy with psoriasis is rare and intriguing and the link between these two entities on a common inflammatory background is discussed.
