Abstract Background Climate changes have led to health and environmental risks, so it has become essential to measure climate change literacy among the entire population, especially nursing students. The significant role of nursing students in raising public awareness and future healthcare roles emphasizes assessing the predictors of climate change literacy among nursing students. Aims This study seeks to identify the predictors of climate change literacy among nursing students in A Multi-Site Survey. Design A multi-site descriptive cross-sectional study adheres to the guidelines outlined in A Consensus-Based Checklist for Reporting Survey Studies collected for five months, from the 1st of July 2023 to November 2023. The study participants comprise 10,084 nursing students from all 27 governments in Egypt. The researcher used the Predictors of Nursing Students’ Climate Change Literacy scale in this study. Data was collected, with 25 min average time to complete. Backward multiple linear regression was used to identify these predictors. Results In the current study, nursing students demonstrated a moderate understanding of climate science (mean score 14.38), communication and advocacy skills (mean score 14.41), and knowledge of adaptation and mitigation strategies (mean score 13.33). Climate health impacts (mean score 17.72) emerged as the domain with the highest level of knowledge. No significant differences in climate literacy were observed across diverse student backgrounds (all p-values were > 0.05). Introduction To evaluate the cross-over association of moderate-to-high-intensity interval-training (M-HIIT) and low-frequency pulsed-electromagnetic field therapy (LFPMT) on functional balance (FB) and ankle-brachial index (ABI) in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN). Methods Twenty-four participants with DPN, age 40–65 years, 0.6 < ABI ≤ 0.9, were randomly allocated into group A (n = 7) and received M-HIIT followed by LFPMT, group B (n = 9) and received LFPMT followed by M-HIIT, or group C ( n = 8) as the control group. Each of the LFPMT (15 Hz, 20 G, for 24 min) and the M-HIIT was provided twice weekly, for 4 weeks. Variables were evaluated pre and after 4 and 8 weeks. Results After 4 weeks, the FB significantly increased [by 9.08% ( p = 0.00) and by 6.82% ( p = 0.00)] and the ABI significantly increased [by 7.84% ( p = 0.01) and 12.57% ( p = 0.03)], while after 8 weeks, the FB significantly increased [by 13.03% ( p = 0.00) and 11.26% ( p = 00)] and the ABI significantly increased [by 10.05% ( p = 0.01) and 13.01% (p = 0.01)] in groups A and B, respectively. Significant differences existed between-groups after 4 weeks in the [FB ( p = 0.00) and ABI ( p = 0.02)], and after 8 weeks [FB ( p = 0.00) and ABI ( p = 0.01)]. Post-hoc comparisons revealed the FB most significantly increased ( p = 0.001) in group A, while the ABI more significantly increased ( p = 0.02) in group B. Conclusions Combined M-HIIT and LFPMT programs were effective in improving FB and ABI. Furthermore, starting the rehabilitation regimen with M-HIIT followed by LFPMT had a superior effect in improving the FB while starting the program with LFPMT followed by M-HIIT was more effective in improving the ABI in patients with DPN.

Background: Radiography appears to be a promising way of investigating jaw lesions. Multi-detector CT (MDCT) scan, due to its sensitivity and diagnostic performance, is widely performed for different types of maxilla and mandible swellings. Objectives: To evaluate the role of multislice CT in diagnosis of jaw swelling using different software programs available. Objectives: To assess the task of multislice CT diagnosis in jaw lesions with various software programs. Patients and methods: A prospective cohort study included 50 patients with jaw swelling had been examined by multislice CT Radio-diagnosis Department, Sohag University. Background: Multi-detector line CT (MDCT) has converted CT from the cross-sectional into a fully three-dimensional image. MDCT scans quickly acquire multiple thin axial images, as well as more precise images of rebuilding. Objectives: To assess the task of multislice CT diagnosis in jaw lesions with various software programs. Patients and methods: A prospective cohort study included 50 patients with jaw swelling had been examined by multislice CT Radiodiagnosis Department, Sohag University. Results: ROC curve showed that the area under the curve of multislice CT for diagnosis of jaw swelling is 0.835, sensitivity 92.2%, specificity 89%, PPV 69.8%, NPV 87%, and accuracy is 94.5%. Abstract Background Identifying predictive factors of the cochlear implant outcomes in pediatric patients is critical in guiding tailored rehabilitation programs. The study aimed to assess cochlear implant outcomes, identify predictors, and highlight decision-making factors and barriers to quality care. Methods This cross-sectional study included parents of children who received unilateral cochlear implants for bilateral severe- to- deep sensorineural hearing loss. Inclusion criteria were age ≤ 5 years and intelligence quotient (IQ) Scores ≥ 85, A pre-designed structured questionnaire was used to collect data from parents/guardians of the children attending follow-up. The Arabic validated Glasgow Children Benefit Inventory score was used to assess the health-related quality of life (QOL) after intervention. Results The quality of life (QOL) score (outcome) after surgery was positive in all cases. Introduction To evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic aerobic exercise training (AqET) on the pulmonary function (PF) and aquatic skills performance in the older children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP). Randomized controlled study. Methods Twenty-eight children, 13–15 years old, with spastic CP were randomly allocated into AqET group ( n = 13; received AqET plus traditional Physiotherapy “TPT” program) and control group ( n = 15; received TPT only). The PF [including (the forced vital capacity; FVC), (forced expiratory volume in one second; FEV1)] and the aquatic skills performance (including the WOTA mental adaptation score “WMA”, the WOTA skills balance control movement score “WSBM”, the WOTA total score “WTOT”) were evaluated at the beginning and after 12-weeks. Results Post-study results revealed significant increases in the PF, WMA, WSBM, WTOT mean values in both groups. The FEV1% and FVC% mean values and percentages of changes were [84.00% (21.5%), 78.23% (24.56%)] and [(71.13% (6.9%), 62% (7.12%)] for the AqET, and control groups respectively. The WMA, WSBM, WTOT mean scores and percentages of changes were [33.15 (77.01%), 15.46 (643.27%), 48.62, (133.19%)] and [(20.2 (7.59%), 2.27 (23.89%), 22.47 (7.36%) for the AqET, and control groups respectively ( p < 0.05). There were significant differences between-groups in the PF and the aquatic skills performance post-study, but in favor of AqET group. Conclusions Children with spastic CP benefit favorably from AqET or TPT programs. The AqET is more beneficial than the TPT in increasing the PF and the aquatic skills performance in older children with spastic CP.

Endothelial dysfunction in patients with diabetic nephropathy is caused by nontraditional factors in addition to common risk factors (e.g., hypertension) in people with normal kidney function. These nontraditional factors include factors involved in mineral bone disease in these patients. One of these factors is fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23). We aimed to evaluate the relationship between flow-mediated dilatation (FMD) as a measure of endothelial dysfunction and FGF-23. Objective: To determine the effect of flippits versus virtual reality on pain, fear and satisfaction among children during phlebotomy. Method: The quasi-experiential study was conducted at the Paediatric Medical Department of Kafrelsheikh University Hospital, Egypt, from November 2021 to April 2022, and comprised children of either gender aged 6-12 years. The subjects were randomised into flippits group A, virtual reality group B and control group C in which only traditional care was provided. Data was collected using a structured interview, Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating Scale, Children’s Fear Scale, and Blood Specimen Collection Satisfaction Evaluation Scale. Data was analysed using SPSS 20. Results: Of the 120 children, 40(33.3%) were in each of the three groups. There were 21(52.5%) boys and 19(47.5%) girls in group A with mean age 8.2±1.6 years, 22(55%) boys and 18(45%) girls in group B with mean age 7.8±1.7 years, and 27(67.5%) boys and 13(32.5%) girls in group C with mean age 7.9±1.9 years (p>0.05). Mean pain and fear scores were significantly lower and mean satisfaction score was higher in groups A and B than group C (p0.05).
