The research paper presents an optimized model for optimal design solutions to provide the best thermal comfort within residential school buildings, using Innovative materials with a specific criterion of Thermal Transmittance (U-value), to achieve the best thermal comfort between 23.5oC and 25.5OC, with humidity of 30-60% respectively according to ASHREE-55 [8], while achieving the highest possible reduction in energy consumption. To achieve the research objectives, a building was chosen for one of the residential schools in Obour City, Cairo, the building consists of two floors only, the ground and the first floor, for adult users. The research dealt with the building's first "last level floor" as a case in which the developed model is applied. The research results showed that four factors directly impact the amount of energy consumed needed to achieve appropriate thermal comfort. These factors are represented in the degree of optimization "heat transfer coefficient of the roof representing 28.5 % - the solar heat gain coefficient of the external windows representing 4.80% - the heat transfer coefficient of the exterior walls representing 23.3 % - the lowest percentage of energy efficiency is for (Floor materials 4.3% and wall paints representing 1.1%) and the percentage of energy efficiency resulting from the four factors combined is 62% of energy. The research study's results provide information that contributes to finding optimal solutions for choosing building materials and finishes that achieve the best thermal comfort inside buildings while achieving the best energy efficiency. Introduction: We aimed to assess the possible relationship between dental caries prevalence and oxidative stress markers such as protein carbonyl (PC) and total antioxidant capacity (TAOC) of saliva among type 1 diabetic children. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was performed among 45 type 1 diabetic children and compared with 45 healthy control children aged 10 to 12 years old. Dental caries was diagnosed and recorded using the decayed, missing, and filling index (DMFS/dmfs). Unstimulated salivary specimens were collected for evaluation of TAOC and PC using an enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay (ELISA). A linear regression model and one-way ANOVA test were employed for data analysis using the R 4.3.0. Results: Salivary levels of TAOC and PC, having diabetes, and diabetes status (controlled or uncontrolled) were not statistically significant (P > 0.05) predicators regarding the prevalence of dental caries among type 1diabetic children. Conclusion: The diabetic status had a significant effect on salivary levels of TAOC and PC, but no significant effect on the prevalence of dental caries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The present study describes the successful synthesis of microporous zeolite through the recycle of two waste materials - aluminum cans and rice husks. Two samples were prepared - the first using aluminum scrap and commercial silica, while the second one contained aluminum scrap and rice husk. Samples of the prepared zeolite were characterized using XRD, surface area, chemical analysis and SEM. The results showed that the zeolite 4A prepared had a good crystallinity as described by the XRD patterns. The surface area was 185.78 m2/g and 151.63 m2/g, correspondingly, the silica to alumina ratio was 1.9 and 1.89, respectively. The microcrystalline structure was confirmed through SEM results where the particle size range was 1.26 - 1.9 μm and 1.59 - 2.8 μm. This study provides an opportunity of converting waste materials to highly crystalline zeolite, which has important industrial applications. This is correspondence with green technology requirements.
