Four-dimensional (4D) bioprinting, is generally accepted as the future ofbiofabrication technologies. 4D bioprinting develops dynamic and 3D basedbiological materials which can shift their shapes or alter their behaviors when severalstimulants like electricity, temperature, humidity, magnetic etc. are applied. In thisreview, we highlighted the important aspects of several smart materials for 4Dbioprinting that have been used recently for biofabrication researches. It is believedthat in immediate future, smart materials and 4D Bioprinting techniques will have anexcessive importance for designing of soft robotic systems and architecture ofhierarchial, compex, thick and vascularized tissue structures, Dört boyutlu (4B) biyobaskı tekniklerinin biyofabrikasyon teknolojilerinin geleceğiolduğu düşünülmektedir. Elektrik, sıcaklık, nem, manyetik vs. gibi uyarıcılar aracılığıile şekil değiştiren akıllı malzemeler kullanılarak ortaya çıkartılmış olan 4B biyobaskıtekniği, 3B biyolojik materyallerden oluşmuş ve zamanla şekil değiştirebilen yapılarüretilebilmektir. Bu mini derlemede bu alanda son yıllarda ortaya konmuş olan pekçok akıllı malzeme ve bunların önemleri açıklanmıştır. Akıllı malzemelerin ve 4Bbiyoyazıcı tekniklerinin çok yakın bir gelecek içerisinde yumuşak robotik sistemlerintasarımlarında ve hiyerarşik, kompleks, kalın ve damar dokusu eklemlenmiş dokuyapılarının tasarımlanmasında aşırı derecede önem kazanacağı düşünülmektedir.

Amaç:Çalışmamızda deneysel olarak hipertiroidi oluşturulan sıçanlarda, testiste oluşan hasara karşı güçlü bir antioksidan olan quercetinin etkisi histokimyasal, immünohistokimyasal, ultrastrüktürel ve biyokimyasal olarak incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem:Çalışmamızda Wistar suşu erkek sıçanlar 5 grubu ayrıldı (n=7). I. Kontrol grubu, II. Sham grubu: 2 cc mısır yağı verilen grup (21 gün oral gavaj), III. Quercetin grubu: 20 mg/kg/gün 2 cc mısır yağı içinde çözdürülerek verilen grup (21 gün oral gavaj), IV. Hipertiroidi grubu: 0,3 mg/kg/gün L-tiroksin verilen grup (21 gün ıp), V.Hipertiroidi+Quercetin grubu: 0,3 mg/kg ip L-tiroksin+ 20 mg/kg/gün oral gavaj Quercetin 2 cc mısır yağı içinde çözdürülerek verilen grup. 21 günün sonunda tüm denekler sakrifiye edildi.Işık mikroskobik incelemeler için elde edilen kesitler Hematoksilen & Eozin (H&E), Periyodik Asit Schiff (PAS) ve Masson Trikrom ile boyandı. Kesitlerde Johnsen skoru, seminifer tübül çapı ve bazal membran kalınlığı değerlendirildi. Apopitozisi saptamak için TUNEL ve aktif kaspaz-3 boyamaları yapıldı. Testis yapısı ultrastrüktürel olarak incelendi. Biyokimyasal incelemeler için kan TSH, T3, T4 ve testesteron düzeyleri, testis dokusunda ise süperoksit dismutaz (SOD), glutatyon peroksidaz (GPx) ve malondialdehit (MDA) düzeyleri incelendi.Bulgular:Yapılan ışık mikroskobik ve ultrastrüktürel incelemelerde kontrol grubunda normal testis yapısı gözlendi. Hipertiroidi grubunda spermatogenik seri hücre diziliminde düzensizlik, germ hücre kaybı ve vakuolizasyon, seminifer tübül bazal membran kalınlığı ve çapında azalma ve intertisyel alanda bağ doku artışı gözlendi. Hipertiroidi+Quercetin grubunda ise testis yapısı normale yakın morfolojide görüldü.Yapılan immunohistokimyasal incelemelerde hipertiroidi grubunda kontrol grubuna göre seminifer tübüllerinde TUNEL pozitif ve ve aktif kaspaz-3 immunpozitif boyanan hücre sayısının arttığı, hipertiroidi+quercetin verilen grupta ise immunpozitif boyanan hücre sayısının azaldığı gözlendi.Biyokimyasal analizlerde, hipertiroidi grubunda kontrol grubuna göre T3, T4, düzeylerinin arttığı, TSH düzeyinin azaldığı, ancak hipertiroidi+quercetin gruplarına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildi. Testesteron düzeylerinde istatistiksel anlamlılık gözlenmedi. Testis dokusunda kontrol grubu ile hipertiroidi grubu kıyaslandığında MDA düzeylerinde anlamlı artış, SOD düzeylerinde ise anlamlı bir azalma gözlendi. Hipertiroidi+quercetin grubunda ise hipertiroidi grubuna kıyasla MDA düzeylerinde anlamlı azalış ve SOD düzeylerinde anlamlı artış saptandı. GPx düzeylerinde ise istatistiksel anlamlılık gözlenmedi.Sonuç:Elde ettiğimiz verilere dayanarak hipertiroidinin testis doku hasarı oluĢturduğu, oksidatif stresi ve apoptozu arttırdığı, Quercetin‟in ise oluşan doku hasarını ve biyokimyasal değişiklikleri azalttığı görüldü.Anahtar Kelimeler: testis, hipertiroidizm, quercetin, rat Objective:In our study, it was aimed to investigate histochemical, immunohistochemical, ultrastructural and biochemical effects of quercetin, a potent antioxidant against testicular damage, in experimental hyperthyroid rats.Method:In this study, male rats of Wistar strain were separated into 5 groups (n=7). I. Control group, II. Sham group; treated with only 2 cc maize oil (21 days oral gavage), III. Quercetin group; treated with 20 mg/kg/day quercetin dissolved in 2 cc of maize oil (21 days oral gavage), IV. Hyperthyroid group; treated with 0.3 mg/kg/day L- thyroxine (21 days ip) and V. Hyperthyroidism+Quercetin group; treated with 0.3 mg/kg ip L-thyroxine+20 mg/kg/day quercetin dissolved in 2 cc of corn oil. At the end of 21 days, all the test subjects were sacrificed.The sections obtained for light microscopic examinations were stained with Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E), Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) and Masson Trichrome. Johnsen score, seminiferous tubule diameter and basal membrane thickness were evaluated in these sections. In order to detect apoptosis, TUNEL and active caspase- 3 staining were performed. The testis structure was also examined ultrastructurally. For biochemical analyzes TSH, T3, T4 and testosterone levels in blood samples, and superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in testicular tissue were examined.Results:Microscopic and ultrastructural examinations showed normal testicular structure in the control group. In the hyperthyroid group, irregularity in spermatogenic serial cell viability, germ cell loss and vakoulization in seminiferous tubules, with decrease in basal membrane thickness and diameter while increase in connective tissue in interstitial region were observed. In the hyperthyroid+quercetin group, the testis showed almost normal morphology.On the immunohistochemical studies, the numbers of cells with TUNEL positive and active caspase-3 immunoprecipitated in the seminiferous tubules were increased in the hyperthyroid group compare to control group, whereas the number of immunopositive cells in the hyperthyroidism+quercetin group were decreased.In the biochemical analysis, hyperthyroidism group showed T3 and T4 levels were increased and TSH level was decreased compare to the control group. However, the levels of hyperthyroidism+quercetin groups were not changed statistically significant. Also testosterone levels were not statistically significant.A significant increase in MDA levels and a significant decrease in SOD levels were observed when the control group and hyperthyroid group were compared in testicular tissue. Significant decrease in MDA levels and a significant increase in SOD levels were observed in hyperthyroidism+quercetin group compared to hyperthyroidism group. There was no statistical significance in GPx levels.Conclusion:Based on the obtained results, we found that hyperthyroidism caused testicular tissue damage, increased oxidative stress and apoptosis, and that Quercetin appears to reduce tissue damage and biochemical changes.Key Words: testis, hyperthyroidism, quercetin, rat 124

WOS: 000417628500023, PubMed ID: 29081366, Previous multicenter/multinational studies were evaluated to determine the frequency of the absence of cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis in patients with central nervous system infections, as well as the clinical impact of this condition. It was found that 18% of neurosyphilis, 7.9% of herpetic meningoencephalitis, 3% of tuberculous meningitis, 1.7% of Brucella meningitis, and 0.2% of pneumococcal meningitis cases did not display cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis. Most patients were not immunosuppressed. Patients without pleocytosis had a high rate of unfavorable outcomes and thus this condition should not be underestimated. (C) 2017 The Author(s). Tonsillektomi günümüzde çocuklarda en sık yapılan operasyonlardan birisidir.Tonsillektomi endikasyonlarına bakıldığında Reküren Tonsillit ve Obstruktif Tonsiller Hipertrofi ilk sıralarda yer almaktadır.Tonsillitte antibiyotik kullanımının artmasına rağmen reküren tonsillit ataklarının önüne geçilememesive yapılan çalışmalarda tonsil yüzey kültürlerinde belirlenen bakteriler mevcut kullanılan antibiyotiklereduyarlı olmasına rağmen reküren atakların devam etmesi, tonsil merkezindeki etkenlerin bu rekürrenslerde etkili olabileceğini gündeme getirmiştir.Bu çalışmadaki amacımız reküren tonsillit enfeksiyonu geçirme öyküsü olmayan,OTH nedeniyle tonsillektomi yapılan hastaları kontrol grubu olarak değerlendirip RT grubu ile tonsilin merkezinde saptanan etkenler arasında farklılık olup olmadığını saptamaktı.Bu çalışmaya Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Dursun Odabaş Tıp Merkezi K.B.B. Anabilim Dalı Polikliniği'ne başvurmuş ve RT ve OTH nedeniyle tonsillektomi endikasyonu konulmuş 4-14 yaş arası 100 hasta dahil edildi.Hastalar RT öyküsü olan ve OTH 'si olan hastalar olmak üzere iki gruba ayrıldı.Bütün hastalara soğuk diseksiyon yöntemiyle tonsillektomi yapıldı.Hastalardan operasyonla alınan tonsillerin merkezinden alınan kültür örnekleri aerob ve anaerob etkenler açısından mikrobiyoloji labaratuvarında uygun besiyerlerine ekim yapılarak değerlendirildi;viral etkenler (Adenovirüs,İnfluenza virüs)için alınan doku örnekleri PCR yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edildi.İki grup arasında bakteriyel ve viral etkenler uygun istatistiksel yöntemlerle analiz edilip karşılaştırıldı.Çalışmada her iki grupta tonsil merkezinden alınan kültür sonuçlarında toplamda (61 aerob ve fakültatif anaerop ve 63 anaerob) 124 bakteri bulundu.Kırk iki hastada normal boğaz florası saptanırken 51 hastada anaerob etkenler açısından negatif bulundu.OTH grubunda 30 aerob,22 normal boğaz florası,57 anaerob bakteri bulundu.RT grubunda ise 31 aerob,20 normal boğaz florası,30 anaerob bakteri bulundu.Bulunan bakterilere baktığımızda toplamda en sık bulunan aerob bakteri Stafilococcus aureus(%22)'tu.Daha sonra Streptococcus pyogenes(%17),Arcanobacterium haemolyticum(%8),Non A Non B Beta Haemolitic Streptokok(%5) idi.Anaerob bakterilere baktığımızda en sık bulunan bakteri Peptostreptococcus prevotii(%11) idi.Daha sonra sırasıyla Peptostreptococcus micros(%9),Actinomyces odontolyticus(%9),Prevotella disiens(%6) saptandı.Aerob bakterilerin gruplar arasındaki karşılaştırmasında sadece Arcanobacterium haemolyticumun gruplar arasında anlamlı farkı saptandı.Adenovirüs bakılan örneklerde sadece obstruktif tonsiller hipertrofi grubunda 4 yaşında erkek hastada Adenovirüs pozitif bulundu, diğer örnekler negatif bulundu.İnfluenza virüsü bütün hastalarda negatif bulundu.Anahtar kelimeler:Tonsil bakteriyoloji,reküren tonsillit,obstruktif tonsiller hipertrofi Nowadays tonsillectomy is one of the most common surgical procedure performed in children.In terms of indications of tonsillectomy, it can be seen that Recurrent Tonsillitis andObstruktif Tonsillar Hypertrophyare in the initial place.Despite increasing the use of antibiotics in tonsillitis,the attacks of tonsillitis can not be prevented.In recent studies ,the bacteries which are specified from the surface culture of tonsil in spite of being sensitive to antibiotics which are currently used,the continuous attacks of recurrent tonsillitis the pathogens which are at the core of tonsil become a current issue regarding being effective in those recurrences.The aim of this study is whether there is any difference between the pathogens determined at the core of RT and OTH group.A hundred patients were inclueded to this study who applied to Medical Faculty of Yüzüncüyıl University Departmant of Ear Nose Throat policlinic and who belong to 4-14 age group.The patients were divided into two groups according to history of RT and having OTH.Tonsillectomy was performed to all patients by cold dissection technic.The culture samples which were taken from the core of tonsils were evaluated by sowing to appropriate nutrient considering the aerob and anaerob factors.Tissue samples which were taken for viral pathogens(Adenovirüs,İnfluenza virüs) were analized by using PCR method.Betweeen two groups the bacterial and viral pathogens were compared by appropriate statistical method. Ultimately,in total 124 bacteries(61 aerob and facultative anaerob and 63 anaerob)were found among the results of tonsil core cultures in the study.Apart from this microorganisms normal throat flora was found in 42 patients and 51 patients were negative for anaerob.On the other hand regarding OTH group,30 aerob,22 normal throat flora,57 anaerob bacteria were found.In terms of RT group 31 aerob,20 normal throat flora,30 anaerob bacteria were found.Considering detected bacteries Stafilococcus aureus(%22) was the most frequent aerob bacteria in total.Subsequently Streptococcus pyogenes(%17),Arcanobacterium haemolyticum(%8),Non A Non B Beta Haemolitic Streptokok(%5) were the most frequent ones respectively.Regarding the anaerob bacteries Peptostreptococcus prevotii(%11) was the most frequent anaerob bacteria. After these Peptostreptococcus micros(%9),Actinomyces odontolyticus(%9),Prevotella disiens(%6) were the most frequent ones respectively.In comparison of aerob bacteries between groups merely Arcanobacterium haemolyticum was detected meaningful.Considering the samples of Adenovirüs,Adenovirüs was detected positive only in a four -year -old male patient among the group of OTH.The other samples were negative.The İnfluenza virus was negative in all patients.Key words: Tonsil bacteriology,Recurrent tonsillitis,Obstruktif tonsillar hypertrophy 76

WOS: 000219732100007, Solid organ transplantation (SOT) is a treatment method that improves quality of life and survival of patients with end-stage organ failure. Immunosuppressive treatments given to these patients may predispose to the development of invasive fungal infections (IFI). The incidence of IFI in SOT recipients, which is between 5% and 42%, depends on the organ to be transplanted. Although Candida spp., followed by Aspergillus spp. are the most common microorganisms, among fungal pathogens, this situation varies according to transplant type. The mortality rate associated with these IFI can be high. Therefore, antifungal prophylaxis may be necessary for SOT recipients. Many transplantation centers employ antifungal strategies according to their own experience because of the lack of randomized controlled studies. If the antifungal prophylaxis is given to all patients, antimicrobial resistance and drug-drug interactions may occur. Therefore, it is important to identify patients at a high risk of developing IFI. In this paper, epidemiology, risk factors, literature data and antifungal prophylaxis associated with IFI in liver, kidney, small intestine, pancreas, heart, and lung transplant recipients are reviewed.

To determine the incidence, risk factors, etiology, and antibiotic susceptibility of hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) in nonintensive care units (non-ICU) and nonintubated adult patients. Materials and methods: A prospective surveillance study was performed from January 2006 through December 2007 in the medical and surgical wards of the İzmir Teaching and Research Hospital. Results: During the study period, data on 57,133 patients with a total of 413,515 patient-days were analyzed. A total of 106 HAP episodes occurred in 99 patients. The infection rate per 100 patients and per 1000 patient-days was found to be 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively. HAP episodes were detected mostly in medical wards (66%). The mean age of patients was 58.6 ± 15.9 and 73% of the patients were male. The most common intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors observed in patients with HAP, according to the first episode, were cardiovascular disease (47%), central nervous system disease (41%), malignancy (40%), hospitalization longer than 5 days (91%), antibiotic therapy (81%), previous endotracheal intubation (40%), nasogastric tubes (38%), and H2 receptor antagonist/antiacid (37%). Moreover, 109 microorganisms were isolated from 84% of HAP episodes. Overall, the most frequently isolated pathogens from HAP episodes were Klebsiella pneumoniae (23%), Escherichia coli (21%), and Staphylococcus aureus (18%). These were mostly multidrug-resistant. The crude mortality was found to be 25%. Conclusion: Surveillance of HAP in non-ICU and nonintubated adult patients provides valuable guidance for empirical antimicrobial therapy and infection control measures for some wards.

Sitomegalovirüs CMV enfeksiyonu sıklıkla asemptomatik olmasına rağmen, bağışıklık sistemi baskılanmış hastalarda ciddi patolojilere ve infantlarda önemli konjenital enfeksiyonlara neden olabilir. Bu nedenlerden dolayı hastalık önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunu olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada hastanemiz çeşitli polikliniklerine başvuran hastalarda CMV IgG prevalansının ve CMV IgG pozitifliği ile yaş arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlandı. Toplam seropozitiflik oranı %97.5 olarak saptandı. Seropozitiflik hemen her yaş grubunda yüksek bulundu ve yaşla birlikte seropozitifliğin arttığı gözlendi. Sonuç olarak bu veriler CMV IgG’nin toplumda yaygın olduğunu göstermektedir. Ancak CMV enfeksiyonu riskli gebeliklerde ve immünsüpresyonlu hastalarda daima akılda tutulmalıdır, Although cytomegalovirus CMV infection is often asymptomatic, it can cause severe pathology in immunosuppressed patients and an important congenital disease in infants. For these reasons, the disease is considered to be an important public health problem.In this study it was aimed to investigate the prevalence of IgG against CMV CMV-IgG and the relationship between CMV IgG positivity and age in patients who were admitted tovarious clinics of our hospital. The overall seroprevalance was %97.5. Seropositivity was found high in almost every age group and increased seropositivity with age was observed. In conclusion these datas show that CMV IgG is common the community. However CMV infections should be kept in mind in the case of immunosuppression and high-risk pregnancies

Bu çalışmada toplum kaynaklı komplike ve komplike olmayan üriner sistem enfeksiyonlarında ÜSE risk faktörleri, klinik, laboratuvar, etiyoloji, tedavi ve prognozun değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. 2007- 2010 tarihleri arasında kliniğimizde toplum kaynaklı ÜSE tanısıyla yatarak tedavi edilen hasta dosyaları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Komplike ÜSE, fonksiyonel veya yapısal anomalileri olan üriner sistemde gelişen enfeksiyon olarak tanımlandı. Çalışma periyodunda 149 %78 ’u komplike, 42 %22 ’si komplike olmayan toplam 191 toplum kaynaklı ÜSE tespit edildi. Risk faktörleri açısından iki grup karşılaştırıldığında; yaş, erkek cinsiyet, nörolojik hastalık, hipertansiyon, kronik obstruktif akciğer hastalığı, diyabet, böbrek yetmezliği, geçirilmiş üriner enfeksiyon öyküsü, mental bozukluk ve kadın hastalarda östrojen eksikliği komplike olgularda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı yüksek saptandı. En sık saptanan etken Escherichia coli idi. Genişlemiş spektrumlu beta laktamaz üreten E.coli suşları çoğunlukla komplike ÜSE grubunda izole edildi. Sonuç olarak toplum kaynaklı nonkomplike ÜSE sıklıkla genç ve sağlıklı kadınlarda görülürken, komplike üriner sistem enfeksiyonları sıklıkla ileri yaşta, erkeklerde, altta yatan hastalığı olan olgularda görüldü. Ayrıca komplike olgularda E. coli kökenlerindeki direnç artışı dikkat çekici bulundu, The aim of this study was to evaluate the risk factors, clinical and laboratuvary findings, etiology, treatment and prognosis of patients with community acquired complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections UTI . The files of patients who had been diagnosed as community acquired UTI and treated in our clinic between 2007-2010 were reviewed retrospectively. Complicated UTI is defined as an infection in a urinary tract with functional or structural abnormalities. During the study period, 149 78% complicated UTI and 42 22% uncomplicated UTI cases were determined. When the risk factors were compared between groups, age, male sex, neurological diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, renal insufficiency, previous UTI, mental illness and estrogen deficiency in female patients were significantly higher in complicated cases p < 0.05 . Escherichia coli was the most common agent. Extended-spectrum β-lactamases producing E. coli were isolated mostly from complicated group. In conclusion uncomplicated UTI was observed mostly in young and healthy women, whereas complicated UTI was observed patients with advanced age, in males and underlying diseases. Also increased frequency of drugresistant E. coli strains was found remarkable in complicated UTI cases

Infuenza is a virus that spreads through droplet. Fever, sore throat and headache, fatigue, nasopharyngeal secretion are mainly clinical manifestations of influenza. Pneumonia, encephalitis, myocarditis are severe complications. In this study, questionnaires were applied to the patients who were in a hospital about influenza vaccination. 88.7% of participants has knowledge heard flu vaccine. Only 9.7 % of the participants had been regularly vaccinated per year. 66.2% of people with underlying disease stated that so far never been flu vaccination. 77% of the participants received information about flu vaccine from their family physicians. It is thought that flu vaccination was not reach sufficient level and it seems that to inform patients about flu vaccine, family physicians is the main route to reach the whole society, İnfluenza damlacık yoluyla yayılan bir virüstür. Ateş, boğaz ve baş ağrısı, halsizlik, nazofaringeal sekresyon, gribin başlıca klinik bulgularıdır. Pnömoni, ensefalit, miyokardit başlıca komplikasyonlarındandır. Bu çalışmada bir hastanedeki hastalara grip aşılaması ile ilgili bir anket uygulanmıştır. Katılımcıların %88.7’si grip aşısını duymuştur. Altta yatan herhangi bir hastalığı olan kişilerin %66.2’si şimdiye kadar hiç grip aşısı yaptırmadığını belirtmiştir. Katılımcıların sadece %7’si influenza için her yıl aşılanmıştır. Katılımcıların %77’si influenza aşısını aile hekiminden öğrenmiştir. İnluenza aşılamasının yeterli düzeye ulaşmadığı düşünülmüştür ve toplumun geneline ulaşmak için aile hekimlerinin eğitimi temel yol olarak görülmektedir

Group C streptococci are common pathogen microorganisms in animal. Although they are part of the normal human flora, they rarely cause infections such as pharyngitis, arthritis, skin and soft tissue infections, meningitis, septicaemia, endocarditis or glomerulonephritis.In this paper a 57 years old male patient with Streptococcus equi prepatellar bursitis has been presented. When septic bursitis is suspected, aspiration of the bursa should be performed for microscopic fluid analysis, Gram staining and culture.Although Staphylococcus aureus is the most the most common agent in septic bursitis. Streptococci and S. equi should also be considered in the etiology, C grubu streptokoklar sıklıkla hayvanlarda patojen mikrorganizmalardır. İnsanlarda normal floranın bir parçası olmalarına karşın, nadiren farenjit, deri ve yumuşak doku enfeksiyonları, artrit, menenjit, bakteremi, endokardit veya glomerulonefrit gibi enfeksiyonlara neden olurlar. Bu yazıda Streptococcus equi’nin etken olduğu piyojenik prepateller bursit olgusu sunulmuştur. Septik bursit şüphesinde, mikroskobik sıvı analizi, Gram boyama ve kültür için bursa aspirasyonu yapılmalıdır. Septik bursitlerde en sık saptanan etken Staphylococcus aureusolmasına rağmen, streptokoklar ve S. equi etken olarak akla getirilmelidir

Bu çalışmada, sağlık çalışanlarının kızamık, kızamıkçık, kabakulak ve suçiçeği enfeksiyonları ile karşılaşma durumlarının ve bu hastalıklarla ilgili aşılanma hikayelerinin öğrenilmesi amaçlanmıştır. İzmir Bozyaka Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde 151 sağlık çalışanına konu ile ilgili olarak bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Ankete katılan 151 sağlık çalışanının 120 %79.4 ’si hemşire, 31’i diğer 23 hekim, 8 temizlik personeli sağlık çalışanıydı. Çalışanların 118 %78 ’I kadın, 33 %12 ’ü erkekti. Ortalama yaş 36 ± 8.2 idi. Ankete katılanlarda kızamık, kızamıkçık, kabakulak ve suçiçeği enfeksiyonlarını geçirme oranları sırasıyla; %45, %15.5, %58 ve %61 olarak bulunmuştur. Aşılanma oranları kızamık için %4, kızamıkçık için %5.5, kabakulak için %3 ve suçiçeği için %8 olarak saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak bu çalışmada sağlık çalışanlarının büyük çoğunluğunun bu hastalıkları geçirip geçirmediklerini hatırlamadıkları saptanmıştır. Ayrıca bu hastalıklara karşı aşılanma oranlarının oldukça düşük olduğu bulunmuştur. Bu nedenle sağlık çalışanları bu konunun önemi hakkında bilgilendirilmeli ve bağışıklık durumları belirlenmeli ve uygun bireylerde aşılama yapılmalıdır, In this study we aimed to evaluate the exposure status against the measles, mumps, rubella and the varicella zoster virus infections and to learn history of vaccination about these diseases among healthcare workers.An interview schedule was applied to 151 healthcare workers in relation to the issue at Izmir Bozyaka Research and Training Hospital. Of 151 participants, 120 79.4 % were nurses and 31 20.6 % were other 23 doctors, 8 cleaning staff healthcare workers. Of the workers 118 78% were women, 33 12% were men. The mean age was 36 ± 8.2 . The rates of having measles, rubella, mumps, and varicella history were found 45 %, 15.5 %, 58 %, and 61 %, respectively. The rates of vaccination were 5% for measles, 5.5% for rubella ,3% for mumps, and %8 for varicella. In conclusion, in this study it was found that the majority of healthcare workers could not remember whether they had suffered from these diseases. Also the rate of vaccination wasdetermined to be rather low. Therefore, healthcare workers should be informed about the importance of this issue , confirm the immune status of medical staff and vaccinationshould be made in appropriate individuals
