Relevance of the topic. In recent years, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional education system, including various non-formal education activities, has faced enormous challenges and problems. This pandemic not only claimed millions of lives, but also affected people's daily lives and lifestyles. Most of the economic sectors in Lithuania also encountered various problems. Education, which traditionally carried out educational activities in physical environments, was not an exception and faced the sudden and strict closure of all institutions. In this situation, the application of technology and digital learning practices became the main solutions that helped to ensure the continuity of education and training, including non-formal ones (González, Bonal, 2021). Unfortunately, this decision had a particularly painful impact on organized sports for children and youth (Reece et. al., 2020). This area, of course, faced an even greater challenge than other, more theoretical, subjects, since sport, being a physical, practical and interactive activity, is not easily and simply transferred to an online environment (Iuliano et al., 2021). The problem. The idea of the problem has been increased by the fact that direct social interaction between the coach and the athlete is considered an essential condition in order to supervise the actions performed by the athletes and to ensure the high-quality implementation of the sports program (Emery & Tyreman, 2009). In the context of the pandemic, researchers began to emphasize the changed organization and execution of sports activities (Ratten, 2020; Escamilla-Fajardo et al., 2020), but there is still a lack of research-based data on the characteristics of these activities. In Lithuania, this topic has so far been little studied in the context of school sports. And although the sports activities implemented in sports schools, as state educational institutions, are regulated by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania and the orders and instructions of the Ministry of Science, Education, Science and Sports, there is no data in the scientific literature about how informal sports education programs were implemented in them during the COVID-19 pandemic? The purpose of the study: To highlight the challenges of non-formal sports education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Research object: Challenges of informal sports education. The results. Research data revealed that the sports activities organized and carried out in sports schools during the COVID-19 pandemic had certain characteristics associated with the challenges experienced by coaches as providers of non-formal sports education programs and the challenges experienced by schoolchildren participating in sports. During the pandemic, the decrease in the motivation of young athletes to play sports, their inability to fulfill the training conditions and the negative influence of the environment in which they train on sports activities became apparent. The coaches, adapting to the changed conditions, were led to search for additional information, invest their own funds in the training process, understand the peculiarities of conducting training remotely, demonstrate their ingenuity while conducting classes, and constantly raise the motivation of athletes. However, when faced with these obstacles, they did not avoid ignoring the existing rules for the organization of sports activities. PURPOSE: The purpose of the present study, which was based on the increasing relationship between sports and the environment and the importance of this relationship, was to calculate the carbon footprint of Sarıkamış Ski Facilities in the city of Kars, Turkey. To do this purpose, an answer was sought to the following study question: What is the carbon footprint of Sarıkamış Ski Facilities?, METHODOLOGY: The study was conducted within the scope of quantitative research methods design, which are used frequently in social sciences in recent years. The amount of electricity consumed on the cable car line in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities in Kars and the natural gas consumption amounts of the three hotels that have the highest bed capacity and overnight stays in the hotels area were used as the dataset in the study. To answer the study question, the carbon dioxide emission amount (carbon footprint) of the ski Facilities was calculated by using the calculation methodology (Tier 1 Method) that was put forward by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)., RESULTS/FINDINGS: The carbon dioxide emission (carbon footprint) occurring because of the natural gas consumption of three accommodation facilities and the electricity consumption of the cable car lines on the ski slopes in the 2022 ski season in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities was calculated as 12.140.58 tons. According to these calculations, 86% of the carbon footprint of the ski facilities occurred because of electricity consumption. This can be associated with the increasing demand in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities and the intense use of cable car lines to cover this demand. These results, which were limited to Sarıkamış Ski Facilities in Kars in Turkey, indicate that it is necessary to turn to renewable energy sources in Sarıkamış Ski Facilities. Also, it can be argued that the increasing demands on skiing should be covered in an environmentally friendly manner with increasing awareness of environmentally friendly energy. It is inevitable to develop sustainable environmental and sports policies to resolve environmental problems such as climate change, global warming, and carbon footprint. This study, which was limited to only Sarıkamış Ski Facilities, is expected to prepare the ground for a study throughout Turkey, and it is also aimed to help the development of an environmentally friendly sports concept in Turkey., peer-reviewed

Çalışmada zeybek kültürünün hikâyesi ve sembolik anlatım tarzları, siyasi kültürün sembolik anlamlara eğilen bakış açısıyla ele alınmıştır. Toplumun zeybekler ile olan sembolik etkileşiminin folklorik ögelerde bulunan siyasal imgelem yolu ile gerçekleştiği görülmüştür. Although the concept of political culture is a deep-rooted concept, it shows a variety of meaning and definition on the basis of the approaches that take it as a subject. The political culture approach, which basically refers to the field of social values and assumes that these values affect the political system, has increased its explanatory capacity as an anthropological concept in the historical development process. The discovery of the explanatory power of myths and symbols has distracted the concept of political culture from a restrictive and reductionist approach such as an "orientation to the political". In the study, the zeybek culture is handled with its story and symbolic narrative styles with the perspective of political culture focusing on symbolic meanings. It has been seen that the symbolic interaction of the society with the zeybeks is realized through the political imagination found in folkloric elements. While the society marks the structure produced by the Ottoman political culture as "unjust", it has turned to the zeybek institution, which can create an alternative to it and is decorated with images of domination familiar to its own consciousness. Zeybeks, who were considered as bandits to be destroyed in the Ottoman state discourse, were declared heroes with the republic. In the Republican era, the Zeybek resistance was manipulated by the dominant political culture by using the zeybek image, along with the meaning world of the power symbols it was loaded with. Zeybek myth or image has been redefined in the discourse of the state and the political elite by being removed from its story and turned into a commodity used in the political construction process. While this extinction process obscured the folk hero identity of the zeybeks through the use of the zeybek image by the state leader, it brought the national hero zeybek figure to the forefront and the rebellion culture in the zeybeks was eliminated with a kind of discursive integration.

In recent years, increasing the use of bicycles in urban transportation has come to the fore due to the benefits it provides in terms of personal health, energy, environment and economy. The important factor in increasing the rate of bicycle use is the construction of bicycle paths in cities. Bicycle paths should be designed considering the demand of bicycle users. Determining the routes frequently used by bicycle users is important for the efficiency of the bicycle path. Within the scope of the study, it is aimed to determine the most suitable bicycle path route by using the geographical location data of bicycle users. Erzincan province was chosen as the study area. Within the scope of the study, geographic data was obtained through the GPS tracking program installed on the mobile application of the bicycle users. Using this data, the routes used by bicycle users between the starting and destination points in their daily trips were determined. Spatial analysis was made with the data obtained and the routes used by bicycle users were determined. Çalışma kapsamında bisiklet kullanıcılarının mobil uygulama olarak telefonlarına yüklenen GPS takip programı aracılığıyla coğrafi veri elde edilmiştir. Bu veriler kullanılarak, bisiklet kullanıcılarının günlük seyahatlerinde başlangıç ve varış noktaları arasındaki kullandıkları güzergahlar belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerle mekânsal analiz yapılarak bisiklet kullanıcılarının yoğun olarak kullandığı güzergahlar belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Erzincan ili için bisiklet yolu güzergâh önerileri belirlenmiştir.

While quarantine rules make it possible to fight the epidemic, on the other hand, increasing sedentary behaviors lay the groundwork for a different social health problem. This health problem is obesity, which is defined as the second deadliest disease by the World Health Organization. Because sedentary lifestyle is accepted as one of the main causes of obesity. Although sedentary lifestyle is the source of many ailments, it also accelerates the increase of obesity, which is an important social health problem. Especially inactivity triggered by the epidemic process can be considered as the main source of the increase in obesity. Increasing sedentary living habits due to restrictions in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic may cause a gradual increase in a deadly disease such as obesity after the epidemic. Regular physical activity is one of the most important tools in combating obesity and the diseases it causes and in reducing the risk of death. During and after the quarantine process, it is very important for physical and mental health to stay active and to develop and maintain a physical exercise routine.In order to fight obesity more effectively during and after the pandemic, countries need to develop and make stronger physical activity, physical education and sports policies that they offer as a public service. In this study, in the light of current literature, the Covid-19 process, increasing sedentary life habits and the importance of physical activity in this process are tried to be emphasized. It was conducted by using the document analysis method within the framework of qualitative research techniques in a way that allows the analysis of written sources about the subject or topics studied., Dünya genelinde birçok ülke Covid-19 salgını sebebi ile çok sıkı karantina kuralları uygulamaya koymuştur. Bu kuralların başında ise sokağa çıkma yasak ve kısıtlamaları gelmektedir. Bu kısıtlamalara bağlı olarak insanların fiziksel aktivite süreleri oldukça düşmüş, sedanter davranışları da önemli ölçüde artmıştır. Karantina kuralları salgınla mücadeleyi mümkün kılarken diğer taraftan artan sedanter davranışlar farklı bir toplumsal sağlık sorununa zemin hazırlamaktadır. The purpose of the present study is to determine the words that came to the forefront of social media posts by fans for the 2018 World Cup Final, the most frequently used expressions, and the emotional tendencies of the fans. For this purpose, 56,877 tweets written in English on Twitter on the 2018 World Cup Final were extracted by the “R-Project” software and analyzed. According to the analysis results, it was concluded that a total of twenty positive statements were used with the highest frequency by fans, and it was also determined that the positive emotional trend was dominant compared to the negative trend, irrespective of what the result of the match was. In conclusion, it may be claimed that the perceptions and reactions of the fans regarding the World Cup Final are different from club matches at national level, and that mostly positive emotions came to the forefront., Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2018 Dünya Kupası Final Maçında taraftar paylaşımında öne çıkan kelimeleri, bu sözlerle birlikte en sık kullanılan ifadeleri ve taraftarların duygusal eğilimlerini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla, İngilizce yazılan ve 2018 Dünya Kupası Final Maçı'nda Twitter'da paylaşılan 56.877 adet tweet, “The R-Project” adı verilen yazılım üzerinden alınarak analizleri yapıldı. Analiz sonuçlarına göre taraftar paylaşımında en yüksek sıklıkta kullanılan toplam yirmi ifadenin olumlu olduğu; final maçının sonucu ne olursa olsun, olumlu duygusal eğilimin olumsuz eğilime göre baskın olduğu da belirlendi. Sonuç olarak taraftarların Dünya Kupası Final Maçı ile ilgili algılarının ve tepkilerinin kulüpler arası ulusal düzeydeki yarışmalardan farklı olduğu ve daha çok olumlu duyguların ön plana çıktığı iddia edilebilir.

Pandemi süreci ve sonrasında obezite ile daha etkin mücadele edilebilmesi için ülkelerin bir kamu hizmeti olarak sunduğu fiziksel aktivite, beden eğitimi ve spor politikalarını geliştirmesi ve daha güçlü hale getirmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, güncel yerli ve yabancı literatür ışığında Covid-19 süreci, artan hareketsiz yaşam alışkanlıkları ve bu süreçte fiziksel aktivitenin önemi vurgulanmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırılan konu veya konular hakkında yazılı kaynakların analizine imkan verecek şekilde nitel araştırma teknikleri çerçevesinde doküman analizi yönteminden faydalanılarak yürütülmüştür.

Artvin şehrinin esaret yılları ile düşman işgalinden kurtuluşu, düşman istilasında kalmış olan diğer vilayetlerimizden farklıdır. Bu durum çok yakın bir dönem olmasına rağmen araştırmacıların dikkatlerinden kaçmaktadır. Çünkü şehirlerin düşman tarafından ele geçirilmeleri ve özgürlüklerine kavuşmaları incelenirken, ilk olarak Mondros Mütarekesinden önce esaret altına girmiş şehirler ve Mondros Mütarekesinden sonra işgal edilmiş şehirler olarak belirlenmelidir. Nedeni de yaklaşık 42 yıl esaret altında bulunmuş olan Artvinliler, hiçbir zaman anavatan ile olan bağlarını koparmamışlar ve ilk olarak oluşturdukları gönüllü milis güçleriyle birebir Ruslara karşı mücadelede bulunmuşlardır. İkinci olarak bölgeye gelen ve burada Ruslar aleyhine çalışmalarını sürdüren Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa Elemanlarının yanında olanlar olmuştur. Üçüncüsü ise, her şeye rağmen yörede konuşlanmış Türk Ordusuna insan kaynakları da dâhil maddi ve manevi destek verenler vardır. Dahası bunların dışında hem Birinci Dünya Savaşı hem de Kurtuluş Savaşı yıllarında askerlik vakti gelmiş olan evlatlarını askere göndererek hemen hemen Türk Ordusu’nun savaştığı her cephede bulunmuşlar ve bahsedilen bu cepheler de şehit olan Artvinlilerin sayıları, Milli Savunma Bakanlığı kayıtlarına göre 225 kişidir. Araştırmada, 93 Harbi’den (1877-1878 Osmanlı Rus Harbi), 1930 yılında ortaya çıkan ve dünyayı etkileyen kıtlık dönemine kadar, Artvin’in siyasi, sosyal ve ekonomik durumu, elde edilen verilere göre ele alınmış ve görülmüştür ki, Artvinlilerin bunca müşkülata rağmen, Türkiye dışında kalmamak adına, ellerinden gelen her türlü fedakârlığa katlanmışlardır.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı kotlu kollara sahip hemzemin dönel kavşaklarda meydana gelen kazaların, kaza şiddetini etki eden faktörleri araştırmaktır. Atatürk Üniversitesi kavşağı örneğinde üç farklı veri seti oluşturularak, lojistik regresyon analizi yöntemi ile üç farklı istatistiksel modelleme yapılmıştır. İstatistiksel modellerde bağımlı değişken olarak kaza şiddeti ve kazaya karışan araç sayısı kullanılmıştır. Bağımsız değişken olarak yol yüzey durumu (kuru- ıslak), gün durumu (gündüz-gece), saat dilimi (9:00-14:59, 15:00-20:59, 21:00 2:59, 3:00-8:59) ve kazanın meydana geldiği gün (pazartesi, salı, çarşamba, perşembe, cuma, cumartesi, pazar) değişkeni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda yüzey durumunun kaza şiddetinin artmasında anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı, gün durumu ve saat dilimi değişkeninin, kazanın şiddeti üzerinde etkili olduğu ve Pazar günü olan kazaların şiddeti diğer günlerden fazla olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca kavşak kollarındaki mutlak eğimin çoklu kazalar üzerinde önemli etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir., The aim of this study is to investigate the factors that affect the severity of accidents occurring at level crossings with difference level between of legs. In the sample of Atatürk University İntersection, three different data sets were created and three different statistical models were made by logistic regression analysis method. In the statistical models, the severity of the accident and the number of vehicles involved in the accident were used as dependent variables. Road surface condition (dry-wet), day condition (day-night), time zone (9:00-14:59, 15:00-20:59, 21:00 2:59, 3:00-8:59) and day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) were used as independent variables. At the end of the study, it was determined that the surface condition had no effect on the severity of the accident. It was also found that the absolute slope in the intersection legs had a significant effect on multiple accidents.
