In this study, chitosan-bentonite beads were prepared by using bentonite and chitosan as fertilizer carrier materials and urea as fertilizer components. The prepared samples were named BUC0.2, BUC0.4 and BUC0.6 based on the bentonite ratios of 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6% (weight/volume). In the FT-IR and XRD results, it was seen that the characteristic peaks of the bentonite structure became evident in the BUC0.6 sample, while chitosan peaks were dominant in the BUC0.2 sample, as expected. As the amount of bentonite increased, the swelling ratio generally increased from 31.6% to 48.6. In the nitrogen release experiments, a very rapid nitrogen release occurred in the first hours of release. It was thought to be due to the rapid dissolution of urea in water. The cumulative release percentage showed a slightly decreasing trend in the days following the release experiment. When nitrogen release profiles of the samples containing different amounts of bentonite were compared, it was observed that the nitrogen release curves were quite close to each other due to the lower bentonite ratio. Release percentages of the samples containing different amounts of bentonite were obtained between 61.2-67.7. Observations supported the efficient degradation of fertilizers in the soil environment. As a result, it was evaluated that the prepared materials were promising as environmentally friendly nitrogen fertilizer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: Early detection of malnutrition risk in hospitalized children can improve health outcomes and quality of life; however, the number of studies where the pediatric screening tool is appropriate for Turkish children is limited. Therefore, this article aims to determine the prevalence of malnutrition risk in pediatric patients evaluated with Screening Tool for Risk on Nutritional Status and Growth, Screening Tool for the Assessment of Malnutrition in Pediatrics, Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score, and Simple Pediatric Nutrition Screening Tool with original and adjusted cutoffs and to evaluate which pediatric screening tool is appropriate for Turkish children. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, four published nutritional risk screening tools (Screening Tool for Risk on Nutritional Status and Growth, Screening Tool for the Assessment of Malnutrition in Pediatrics, Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score, Pediatric Nutrition Screening Tool) were applied to pediatric inpatients (n=604) aged 1 month to 17 years, admitted to a pediatric ward for at least 24 hours. Results: Pediatric Nutrition Screening Tool with adjusted cutoffs had the greatest recognition rate (94.2%) of acute malnutrition. Having a high nutritional risk by Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score was associated with an increased risk of acute (OR: 6.57 for Screening Tool for Risk on Nutritional Status and Growth, 5.84 for Screening Tool for the Assessment of Malnutrition in Pediatrics, and 20.35 for Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score) and chronic malnutrition (OR: 1.27 for Screening Tool for Risk on Nutritional Status and Growth, 3.28 for Screening Tool for the Assessment of Malnutrition in Pediatrics, and 1.72 for Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score). Classifying the at-risk category by the Pediatric Nutrition Screening Tool was related to raised odds of malnutrition (OR: 2.64 for original and 5.24 for adjusted cutoffs). This positive association was also observed for acute (OR: 4.07 for original cutoffs, and 28.01 for adjusted cutoffs) and chronic malnutrition (OR: 1.14 for original cutoffs, and 1.67 for adjusted cutoffs). Conclusion: Pediatric Nutrition Screening Tool with adjusted cutoffs and Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score have higher diagnostic accuracy than other screening tools in assessing the nutritional status of hospitalized Turkish children and detecting children, particularly with acute malnutrition. RESUMO Objetivo: A detecção precoce do risco de desnutrição em crianças hospitalizadas pode melhorar a saúde e a qualidade de vida, porém o número de estudos em que a ferramenta de triagem pediátrica é apropriada para crianças turcas é limitado. O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a prevalência do risco de desnutrição em pacientes pediátricos avaliados com Ferramenta de Triagem para Risco no Estado Nutricional e Crescimento, Ferramenta de Triagem para Avaliação de Desnutrição em Pediatria, Escore de Malnutrição Pediátrica de Yorkhill e Ferramenta de Triagem de Nutrição Pediátrica Simples com pontos de corte originais e ajustados para avaliar qual ferramenta de triagem pediátrica é apropriada para crianças turcas. Métodos: Neste estudo transversal, quatro ferramentas de triagem de risco nutricional publicadas (Ferramenta de Triagem para Risco no Estado Nutricional e Crescimento, Ferramenta de Triagem para Avaliação de Desnutrição em Pediatria, Escore de Malnutrição Pediátrica de Yorkhill, Ferramenta de Triagem de Nutrição Pediátrica) foram aplicadas a pacientes pediátricos (n=604) com idades entre 1 mês e 17 anos, internados em uma enfermaria pediátrica por pelo menos 24 horas. Resultados: A Ferramenta de Triagem de Nutrição Pediátrica com pontos de corte ajustados obteve a maior taxa de reconhecimento de desnutrição aguda (94,2%), enquanto a Ferramenta de Triagem para Avaliação de Desnutrição em Pediatria teve a maior taxa na identificação da desnutrição crônica (67,4%). Essas associações positivas foram mais notáveis para desnutrição aguda (OR: 6,57 para Ferramenta de Triagem para Risco no Estado Nutricional e Crescimento, 5,84 para Ferramenta de Triagem para Avaliação de Desnutrição em Pediatria e 20,35 para Escore de Malnutrição Pediátrica de Yorkhill) do que para desnutrição crônica (OR: 1,27 para Ferramenta de Triagem para Risco no Estado Nutricional e Crescimento, 3,28 para Ferramenta de Triagem para Avaliação de Desnutrição em Pediatria e 1,72 para Escore de Malnutrição Pediátrica de Yorkhill). A classificação da categoria de risco pela Ferramenta de Triagem de Nutrição Pediátrica foi relacionada a maiores chances de desnutrição (OR: 2,64 para pontos de corte originais e 5,24 para pontos de corte ajustados). Essa associação positiva também foi observada para desnutrição aguda (OR: 4,07 para pontos de corte originais e 28,01 para pontos de corte ajustados) e crônica (OR: 1,14 para pontos de corte originais e 1,67 para pontos de corte ajustados). Conclusão: A Ferramenta de Triagem de Nutrição Pediátrica com pontos de corte ajustados e Escore de Malnutrição Pediátrica de Yorkhill têm maior precisão diagnóstica do que outras ferramentas de triagem na avaliação do estado nutricional de crianças turcas hospitalizadas e na detecção da desnutrição aguda em particular.

© 2021 SEEN y SEDIntroduction: This study aimed to investigate the association of diet quality (DQ) and dietary acid load (DAL) with insulin resistance (IR) in overweight children and adolescents. Materials and methods: The study was conducted on 135 overweight participants aged 6–17 years. DQ was assessed using the Healthy Eating Index 2015 (HEI-2015) and the HEI-2015-TUBER, revised in accordance with the Turkey Dietary Guidelines (TUBER). Estimation of DAL was made calculating the potential renal acid load (PRAL) and net endogenous acid production (NEAP) scores. Results: The HEI-2015-TUBER score was lower in those with IR than in those without IR (p = 0.021). Higher PRAL and NEAP scores were found in those with IR (p = 0.060 and p = 0.044, respectively). Moreover, a one-unit increase in the HEI-2015-TUBER score and the DAL score was associated with a reduction of 4.2% and a rise of approximately 3% in IR risk, respectively. Conclusions: Healthy eating habits in overweight paediatric groups may help to reduce the IR risk, improving DQ and decreasing DAL.

© 2021 L'Encéphale, ParisObjectives: Orthorexia Nervosa (ON) is characterized by a pathological obsession with healthy eating, and dietetic majors may have a potential risk of developing ON due to their occupation that necessitates consideration of optimal food choices. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of ON among a large sample of dietitians and dietetic students in Turkey and to investigate the association of ON with socio-demographic features and eating attitudes within the whole sample. Methods: Participants (n = 1429) completed a self-administered online survey that featured socio-demographic characteristics, the Orthorexia Nervosa Questionnaire (ORTO-11), and the Eating Attitudes Test-26 (EAT-26). Scores on the ORTO-11 and EAT-26 determined the prevalence of ON and disordered eating behaviors, respectively. Results: The prevalence of ON among Turkish dietetic majors was 59.8% with a higher ratio in dietetic students (63.8%) than dietitians (52.9%) (P < 0.001). While graduation was associated with 33.1% lower odds of ON (P = 0.006), eating disorders could increase the ON risk approximately five times (P < 0.001). Furthermore, the greater total and subscale (dieting, bulimia, and oral control) scores of EAT-26 were associated with higher ON tendency (P < 0.001), even after adjustment for potential confounders. Conclusions: Our findings may shed light on the relevance of developing strategies to reduce the prevalence of ON in the dietetic population but need to be supported by further longitudinal and prospective studies.

Bu çalışma 15.06.2011 ile 20.06.2012 tarihleri arasında Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Anatomi Anabilim Dalı Yüksek Lisans tez çalışması olarak adı geçen anabilim dalında ve Mardin Merkez 10 Nolu Aile Sağlığı Merkezinde gerçekleştirildi.Araştırmada Aile Sağlığı Merkezindeki aile hekimlerine (4 hekim) kayıtlı 0-12 aylık 222 (103'ü kız, 119'u erkek) bebeğin antropometrik ölçümleri değerlendirmeye alındı. Araştırmaya katılan bebekler üzerinde yapılan ölçüm parametreleri; kilo, boy, baş çevresi, üst ekstremite uzunlukları (omuz-el bilek mesafesi, üst kol uzunluğu, ön kol uzunluğu), alt ekstremite uzunlukları (kalça-ayak bilek mesafesei, femur uzunluğu, crus uzunluğu) ile sağ-sol el ve sağ-sol ayak uzunluk ve genişlik ölçümleridir. El ve ayaklar üzerinde yapılan ölçümler; her iki elin ve her iki ayağın scanner ile taranmasıyla elde edilen görüntülerin bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmasıyla yapıldı. Bu görüntüler üzerinde, el bileği genişliği, el genişliği, el uzunluğu, palmar uzunluk, el parmak uzunluk, ayak uzunluğu, ayak genişliği, plantar uzunluk ölçümleri yapıldı ve Image J programı ile sayısal değerlere dönüştürüldü. Bulunan ölçüm sonuçları cinsiyete göre gruplandırarak birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildi. Gelişimi değerlendirmede kullanılan antopometrik ölçüm değerleriyle yaptığımız ölçüm değerleri arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu sonucu bulunmuştur.Doğum sonrası dönemde doğumla birlikte ölçülmeye başlanan antropometrik ölçümlerin yanı sıra gelişimi değerlendirmede bu ölçüm değerlerinden de yararlanılabileceğini düşünmekteyiz. Bu konuyla ilgili yeterli sayıda çalışma olmadığı için çalışmanın ölçümlerinin ve sonuçlarının bu konuda yapılacak çalışmalara temel teşkil edeceğini düşünmekteyiz. Ayrıca scanner ile taranarak elde ettiğimiz el-ayak görüntülerinin arşivlenerek bir sonraki ölçümle karşılaştırma imkanı açısından da faydalı olacağı kanaatindeyiz. This study was carried out between in the said science branch at central Mardin, number 10 family health center 15.06.2011 and 20.06.2012 as a master thesis of anatomy department of Karadeniz Technical University. In the study, anthropometric surveys of 222 (103 female, 119 male) infants aged 0-12 months registered to family physicians (4 physicians) in the family health center were received for consideration. The measurement parameters which are applied on the infants participated in the study are weight, height, head circumference, upper extremity lengths (shoulder-hand wrist distance, upper arm length, forearm length), lower exteremite lengths (hip-ankle distance, femur length, crus length) and right-left hand and right left foot length and width measurements. The measurements on the hands and feet were made by transferring the images obtained by scanning both hands and both feet to the computer atmosphere. On these images, wrist width, hand width, hand length, palmar length, hand finger length, foot length, foot width, plantar length measurements were made and converted to quantitative values via Image J program. By grouping The results of the measurements according to gender; their relations with each other were evaluated statistically. It has been found that there is a significant relationship between the anthopometric measurements used in the evaluation of development and the measurement values that we had. In addition to the anthropometric measurements that started to be measured with the birth in the postpartum period, we think that we can also benefit from these measurement values in the evaluation of development. Since there is not enough number of studies on this subject, we think that the study measurements and results will be the basis for the studies to be done on this subject. We also think that archivied hand-foot images obtained by scanning with the scanner will be useful in terms of offering opportunity of comparing with the next measurement. 83

Each of these elements which are attached to and complement one another just like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle has an important function within the education system. These elements constituting the education system are purpose, content, the teaching-learning process and evaluation (Yaşar 2008, 2; Karadüz 2009, 193-194). Evaluation, one of these elements, allows determining the applications carried out in the education system; the functioning of the system; and the effectiveness of each part that constitutes the system. Johnson and Johnson (2002, 96) state that the purposes of the dimension of evaluation include determining the current knowledge and skills of students; monitoring the process executed to achieve the educational goals determined with the help of the education programs; and making a judgment regarding students’ learning. One of the evaluations made in the education process includes studies regarding the evaluation of education programs, and another one covers evaluation studies carried out in the instructional process. The evaluation applications carried out for students allow evaluating students’ learning as well as their skills, attitudes and study habits (Popham, 2008). In every phase of the education system, it is necessary to make decisions regarding both the system and its elements and those taking charge in the system and the students constituting the basis of the system as well as regarding the applications carried out, to determine the malfunctions and deficiencies and accordingly to make the necessary corrections and changes. This is only possible if the necessary decisions are made as a result of the evaluations regarding instruction, students’ achievements, students’ levels of learning and development, student selection and placement, appropriate educational guidance for students, the curriculum, management of education and teachers (Yaşar 2008, 32; Karadüz 2009, 193-194; Koç, 2007). Evaluation applications carried out for students could have different purposes. In general, student evaluations serve such student-oriented functions as recognizing and placing students, determining students’ deficiencies in learning, revealing the factors effective on the learning process and determining students’ levels of learning (Özçelik, 1998; Johnson and Johnson, 2002, 6; Linn and Gronlund, 1995, 14). However, whatever purpose or type they are, the evaluations made should be correct, valid and reliable to make appropriate decisions. In 1997, the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation (JCSEE) started studies to determine the standards for student evaluation accepted on national basis in line with the research results which indicated that there is no standard for student evaluation at schools and that the things to be evaluated are not determined in advance in the field of education. As a result of these studies completed in 2003, JCSEE developed the Student Evaluation Standards. The Student Evaluation Standards are used to determine how a student evaluation study should be carried out, which criteria should be taken into consideration during the execution of such a study or whether a competed study has been executed as appropriate to the standards determined (Gullickson, 2005 216). As in many countries where the population, the schooling rate and the number of school types are rapidly increasing, evaluation systems that allow selecting and placing students are adopted in almost all educational levels in Turkey. These evaluations reveal important results that influence the decisions to be made regarding such issues as students’ passing the class, their attending upper-level educational institutions and their employment. In addition, the evaluations made play an important role in teachers’ direct and indirect evaluations, in determining and developing school programs and in making it possible to pay the price before the public. In order to have effective, reliable and valid evaluations that to a great extent shape and guide the lives of individuals and societies, student evaluation systems should have a good-quality and systematic structure based on certain criteria. This is only possible when examinations and evaluations are made regarding the execution of evaluation activities and applications and regarding sharing of the results obtained and when the evaluation systems are improved with necessary corrections. In Turkey, there are a number of comprehensive evaluations such as public personnel selection examination (KPSS), the transition to higher education examination (YGS), and student achievement examination (ÖBBS). However, the facts that there is no research examining how these evaluation studies are conducted and how the results of such studies are shared makes the present study important. In this respect, this unique study examined to what extent the report regarding the exam for determining student achievement in 2009 met the standards developed by the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation. The basic purpose of the present study was to determine how appropriate the report regarding the Exam for Determining Student Achievement conducted in 2009 in Turkey is to the Student Evaluation Standards developed by JCSEE. The study was carried out as a meta-evaluation study. In this way, the study tried to reveal the strong and weak aspects of the evaluation report. In order to determine how appropriate the Exam for Determining Students’ Achievement (EDSA) conducted in 2009 was to the Student Evaluation Standards developed by JCSEE, the secondary school EDSA report prepared in 2009 by the Ministry of National Education, EARGED was examined with the “document analysis method”. The data collection tool used in the study was developed as a 27-item 3-point Likert-type scale including such options as “Completely Meets”, “Partly Meets” and “Never Meets” regarding four basic fields. The study was carried out by two experts. The results demonstrated that the evaluation report completely met 11 standards, partly met six standards and never met 10 standards. In addition, the findings also revealed that the report was partly beneficial in legal and ethical respects; that it was partly applicable in terms of its execution according to the plan; that it was partly applicable in terms of effectiveness and informativeness; and that it was not efficient in terms of interpretations, supported results and suggestions for future. The research results are expected to help individuals who will prepare beneficial, appropriate, practical and correct evaluation reports or who will make student evaluations., Bu araştırmanın temel amacı Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından 2009 yılında yapılan Öğrenci Başarısını Belirleme Sınav (ÖBBS) raporunun Birleşik Komite tarafından geliştirilen öğrenci değerlendirme standartlarına uygunluğunun belirlenmesidir. Bir meta değerlendirme çalışması olarak, araştırma iki uzman tarafından 27 standart maddesi temel alınarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından standart ifadelerine dayalı olarak oluşturulan bir kontrol listesi aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler doküman analizine tabi tutularak çözümlenmiştir. Sonuçlar değerlendirme raporunun 11 standardı tamamen karşıladığı, altı standart ifadesini kısmen karşıladığı ve 10 standardı ise hiç karşılamadığını göstermiştir. Bulgular ayrıca raporun yasal ve etik yönden kısmen yararlı; plana göre yürütülmesine göre kısmen uygulanabilir; etkililik ve bilgilendiricilik vb. yönlerden yine kısmen kullanışlı olduğunu; yorumlar, destekli sonuçlar ve ileriye dönük öneriler vb. yönlerden ise yeterli düzeyde olmadığını ortaya koymuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarının yararlı, uygun, elverişli ve doğru değerlendirme raporu hazırlayacak ya da öğrenci değerlendirmeleri yapacak bireylere yardımcı olması beklenmektedir.

The purpose of the research is to determine the relation between learning strategies and timemanagement skills used by teacher candidates. For this purpose, 243 teacher candidates participated in the research which has been designed according to the relational screening model. In this research, in order to obtain data, “Learning Strategies Scale” and “Time Management Scale” have been used. In the analysis of the data, one way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Tukey test and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient have been utilized. As a result of the analyses conducted, it has been determined that there are significant differences between learning strategy utilization of teacher candidates and time-management skills with respect to their departments. Furthermore, different relation levels have been observed among the scores of subdimensions of Learning Strategies Scale and sub-dimensions of Time Management Inventory of teacher candidates., Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının kullandıkları öğrenme stratejileri ile zaman yönetimi becerileri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ilişkisel tarama modeline uygun olarak desenlenen araştırmaya 243 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla Öğrenme Stratejileri Ölçeği ile Zaman Yönetimi Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde tek yönlü varyans analizinden ve Tukey testinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stratejilerini kullanma durumları ile zaman yönetimi becerilerinde öğrenim gördükleri bölümlere göre anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca Öğrenme Stratejileri Ölçeği’nin alt boyutları ile Zaman Yönetimi Envanteri’nin alt boyutları arasında farklı düzeylerde ilişkilerin bulunduğu görülmüştür.

NAYKH (non alkolik yağlı karaciğer hastalığı ) diffüz yağ infiltrasyonu, lobuler inflamasyon ve presinüzoidal fibrozis ile karakterize kronik bir karaciğer hastalığıdır. NAYKH toplumda sık görülmesi, siroz ve karaciğer yetmezliğine ilerlemesi nedeniyle önem taşımaktadır. Son yıllarda, NAYKH ve yanı sıra kronik hepatit C (KHC)'deki steatoz gelişiminde temel patofizyolojik faktörün insülin direnci olabileceği ileri sürülmektedir. IRS (insülin rezistansı/direnci sendromu), hipertansiyon, abdominal obezite, bozulmuş glukoz intoleransı ve dislipidemi ile karakterize, kardiyovasküler hastalık (KVH) riskinin arttığı bir durumdur. Yağ dokusunda sentezlenen adiponektin gibi adipositokinlerin düzeyindeki değişimlerin bu sendromun patogenezinde ve KVH oluşum sürecinde rol oynadığı ileri sürülmektedir. Adiponektin, insüline duyarlı dokulardaki karbonhidrat ve lipid metabolizmasının modülasyonunda önemli rol oynadığı düşünülen ve insülin direncinde artışa yol açan durumlarda, plazma düzeyleri anlamlı ölçüde azalan bir proteindir. Bu çalışmanın amacı NAYKH ve kronik hepatit C de adiponektini ve bu molekülün insülin direnci ve KVH risk faktörleri ile ilişkisini değerlendirmektir.Çalışmaya 23 NAYKH, 18 KHC ve 21 sağlıklı kontrol olgusu alındı. Tüm grupların bel çevresi ölçüldü, vücut kitle indeksi hesaplandı, lipid parametreleri, homosistein, hs-CRP, ferritin düzeyleri ölçüldü; insülin direnci HOMA-IR indeksi hesaplanarak değerlendirildi. Serum adiponektin düzeyleri ELİSA yöntemiyle ölçüldü. Gruplar arasındaki farklılığın analizi için Kruskal-Wallis ve Mann-Whitney U testi kullanıldı. Korelasyon analizleri Spearman testi ile yapıldı. Farklılık ve korelasyon analizlerinde anlamlılık için p< 0.05 düzeyi temel alındı.NAYKH hastalarında kontrol grubuna kıyasla TA (p=0,000), bel çevresi (p=0,010), homosistein (p= 0,019), HOMA-IR (p=0,000) düzeyleri yüksek; adiponektin düzeyleri (p=0,001) düşük saptandı. KHC grubunda TA (p=0,000), HOMA-IR (p=0,001) düzeyleri yüksek; total kolesterol (p=0,037) ve Apo B (p=0,035) düzeyleri düşük saptandı. KHC hastalarında kontrol grubuna kıyasla adiponektin düzeyleri düşük olmasına rağmen anlamlı bir fark yoktu. NAYKH ve KHC hastalarını karşılaştırdığımızda ise her iki grup arasındaadiponektin ve HOMA-IR değerleri açısından anlamlı bir fark yoktu. NAYKH grubunda hs-CRP (p=0.000), total kolesterol (p=0,047), trigliserid (p=0,006) değerleri KHC grubuna göre yüksek, HDL2-K değeri (p=0,004) düşük bulundu.Sonuç olarak, NAYKH da daha belirgin olmak üzere NAYKH ve KHC hastalarında insülin direncinin bulunduğu saptanmıştır. NAYKH grubunda adiponektinin anlamlı düşük olması hepatik steatoz ile adiponektin arasındaki ilişkiyi desteklemektedir. NAYKH da adiponektin ile insülin direnci arasındaki ilişkinin ve adiponektinin olası fizyopatolojik rolünün aydınlatılması için daha ileri çalışmalara gerek vardır.Anahtar Kelimeler: NAYKH, CHC, adiponektin, insülin resistansı Non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a chronic liver disease characterized with diffuse fat infiltration, lobular inflammation and presinusoidal fibrosis. It?s high prevalance, progression to cirrhosis and hepatic insufficiency makes NAFLD an important health problem. In recent years, it is postulated that insulin resistance may be the major pathophysiological factor for development of steatosis in NAFLD as well as in chronic hepatitis C (CHC). Insulin resistance syndrome (IRS) is characterized with hypertension, abdominal obesity, impaired glucose intolerance, dislipidemia and thus increased cardiovascular morbidity. It is assumed that the changes in the levels of adipocytokines such as adiponectin synthesized by fat tissue may play an important role in this syndrome and progression of cardiovascular disease. Adinopectin is a protein which is thought to effect the modulation of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in insulin sensitive tissues and it?s plasma levels decrease significantly in insulin resistance. The objective of this study is to evaluate adiponectin and its association to insulin resistance and cardiovascular risk factors in NAFLD and CHC.23 NAFLD, 18 CHC patients and 21 healthy controls were included in the study. Following the measurement of abdominal circumference and calculation of BMI, the analysis of lipid parameters, homocystein, hs-CRP and ferritin was performed in all groups. Insulin resistance was evaluated by calculating HOMA-IR index. Serum adinopectin levels were determined with ELİSA method. Kruskall-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U test was applied for statistical evaluation of the difference between the groups. Correlation analysis was done by Spearman rank correlation test. p< 0.05 was considered as significant.NAFLD patients had higher levels of TA (p=0,000), abdominal circumference (p=0,010), homocystein (p= 0,019), HOMA-IR (p=0,000) and lower levels of adiponectin (p=0,001) compared to controls. CHC patients had higher levels of TA (p=0,000), HOMA-IR (p=0,001) and lower levels of total cholesterol (p=0,037) and Apo B ((p=0,035) compared to controls. In CHC group, although adinopectin levels were lower than the control group the difference was not significant. Comparing NAFLD and CHC groups, no significant difference was observed regarding adiponectin ve HOMA-IR. In NAFLD group hs-CRP (p=0.000), total cholesterol (p=0,047), triglyceride (p=0,006) levels were higher and HDL2-K (p=0,004) levels were lower compared to CHC group.Insulin resistance was observed both in NAFLD and CHC patients although more profound in NAFLD. Significantly low levels of adiponectin in NAFLD patients support the association between hepatic steatosis and adiponectin. Further studies are necessary to elucidate the possible pathophysiological role of adiponectin and its relationship to insulin resistance in NAFLD.Key words: NAFLD, CHC, adiponectin, insulin resistance. 83

ÖZETBu araştırmanın ana hedefi, örgüte zararlı davranışların (organizational misbehavior) ortaya çıkmasında, adaletsizlik algısının rolünü incelemektir. Bu çalışmada, adaletin üç boyutu: paylaşım, işlemsel ve etkileşim adaletlerinin olduğu ve olmadığı durumlarda, çalışanların ne tip zararlı davranışlar içerisine girecekleri araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, çalışanların negatif-pozitif duygu durumunun, adaletsizlik algıları ile ve sahip oldukları ahlaki ideolojilerin ise örgüte zararlı davranışları ile olan ilişkilerine de bakılmıştır.Adalet boyutlarının etkisinin ayarlanışı, adalet ortamları farklı olan sekiz senaryo ile yapılmıştır. Her denek senaryoların sadece bir tanesini okumuş, senaryoda hikâye edilen şahsın, belirtilen zararlı davranışları yapma sıklığını derecelendirmiştir. Ayrıca deneklerin, adaletsizlik algılarını, negatif-pozitif duygu durumlarını ve ahlaki ideolojilerini ölçen testler de verilmiştir.Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kişilerin adaletsizlik algısı arttıkça, örgüte zararlı davranışları da artmaktadır. Adaletsizlik algısı ile örgüte zararlı davranışlar arasında doğrusal bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Buna karşılık, adaletsizlik algısı arttıkça, örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı azalmaktadır. Fakat yüksek idealizm devreye girdiğinde, bu ilişkiler yön değiştirmektedir. Yüksek idealizme sahip kişilerin adaletsizlik algıları ile örgüte zararlı davranışları arasında ters yönlü, vatandaşlık davranışları ile doğrusal bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Adaletsizlik algısı artsa dahi, algının yüksek idealizm ile etkileşime girmesi sonucu, örgüte zararlı davranışlar düşmektedir. Ayrıca, negatif-pozitif duygu durumunun, adaletsizlik algısı üzerinde manidar bir etkisi olmadığı bulunmuştur. SUMMARYThe central task of this study is to examine the role of injustice perception in the emergence of organizational misbehavior. In this research, the types of organizational misbehaviors have been studied in two conditions in which the three dimensions of justice (distributive, procedural and interactional justice) were present and in which they were absent. In addition, the relationship between negative-positive affectivity and injustice perception as well as the relationship between ethical ideology and organizational misbehaviors were also examined. The effect of injustice dimensions was arranged through eight scenarios in which the justice conditions differed. Each subject has only read one of the scenarios and rated the frequency of organizational misbehaviors of the actor in that scenario. In addition, tests that measured the subjects’ injustice perception, negative-positive affectivity and ethical ideology have also been used.According to the results, as the injustice perception increases, so do people’s organizational misbehaviors. There is a linear relationship between injustice perception and organizational misbehaviors. As opposed to this finding, as the injustice perception increases, the behavior of organizational citizenship decreases. However, these relationships change direction when high idealism interferes. It has been found that the injustice perception of people who have high idealism has a reverse relationship with their organizational misbehaviors, while it has a linear relationship with their organizational citizenship behaviors. As a result of high idealism’s interaction with the injustice perception, organizational misbehaviors decrease even if the injustice perception increases. Furthermore, it has been found that the negative-positive affectivity has no significant effect on the injustice perception.
