The development phase done in the large SAP (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing) implementation projects has begun to use in the last years development resources from other countries, not those from the country where the solution is implemented. This was done due to the increasing pressure on the implementation costs. More and more companies are located in the area where a reduced price of the development part, which is essential in the implementation of an SAP Project, entails the implementation of the project. Some companies decide to delay the implementation of SAP precisely because of the high price offered by the companies that implement such an integrated system of type ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). It has been shown, the studies of the last period show, that the involvement in the development area ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) and not only, of the programmers in an area where the price per day is much lower, has aroused a series of pro and cons discussions on how who have contributed to the project in good conditions. In this case study, the author wishes to bring into discussion, based on the information gathered during the SAP implementation project, a series of risks, difficulties and problems - issues, that have appeared. It will also be desired to discuss and bring to the table of the researchers, how the problems were solved, the times of resolution, the approach to the problems, often the language barriers as well as the understanding of the problems, exceeding the limits of the normal understanding. of how to approach a problem. Unfortunately, the discussions regarding money had priority over the quality of development, at the expense of a correct, coherent, very well written, explained and documented programming mode, which is absolutely necessary for a project which is created for an ERP implementation..

SAP Warehouse Management System module is one of the SAP modules, which is highly connected to the Material Management module and is used in companies that use warehouses as a source of material transit. Good warehouse management can be done with this module. In this case study, we will analyze how such a module was implemented in a company operating in the automotive area. It is located in Pitesti and, besides the SAP FI / CO modules, SAP SD, SAP MM has this module installed. The implementation of the SAP system in this company took 2 years and was a successful one, involving a number of 18 Functional consultants (12 seniors and 6 juniors). The technical part was made by the center of competence belonging to the mother company, located in France, in Paris. A series of legislative constraints were reported, a series of discussions stemming from this. A lot of reports were developed by ABAP programmers - allocated for this implementation by the company that made the implementation, the company located in Bucharest. Most issues were encountered in the area of finance - accounting, but also in the WMS area, where restrictions came from the storage area (a small deposit that did not correspond to a detailed organization - as SAP WMS proposes). Due to the fact that what was to be delivered had to be delivered as quickly as possible, even with very many interventions, due to the fact that the business environment was a dynamic one, the solution was changed four times - this assuming a delay of 2 months - for go-live. This delay meant an increase of the budget allocated by 7% - generating many discussions - this was assumed and understood by the management of the company.

The evolution of technology has affected the business so much that the change in business processes to match the new digital transformations. Moving towards digitization is a "must" in the years ahead, our analysis focusing on ways of approaching companies that choose to change the existing IT structure. We have made a case study with which we will highlight the best solution to address such major change within the organization. We created a questionnaire that was sent to the largest oil and gas company in order to find the real difficulties occured. The sample is a complex one in terms of data collection, from the technical part, the conception to the economic part, which will finally make a difference regarding the chosen solution. All this transformation process has as a final point the choice of a solution that will be the point of connection and stability between the technical, economic and informatics departments – in our case, in particular, the SAP Competence Center. The approach must be transparent in accordance with existing practices in the field of architectural transformations in SAP systems.

This paper presents an application for generating a dynamic selection screen in ABAP and the need and advantages of this solution instead of the manual modification of the coding itself for adding one or more parameters in the whole logic of the program. Depending on data found in a customizing table, we would like to generate a program with a selection screen, containing select options based on the criteria specified in the customizing table. The presented solution can be adapted to any dynamically generated ABAP program, according to the desired selection screen elements, and may be used as a template even for other programs. The advantages of the proposed solution are also presented along with the disadvantages, underlining the particularities of the ABAP programming language.

In this study, an AgBr/Ag3PO4 (ABAP) photocatalyst has been prepared via a facile one-pot anion-exchange method. SEM, XRD, XPS and UV-Vis DRS characterization techniques are carried out to study the structural and physicochemical characteristics of the AgBr/Ag3PO4 composites. The ABAP photocatalyst exhibited outstanding photocatalytic capability for the photodegradation of rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation. The optimal ABAP-48% composite displayed the highest photocatalytic activity; a complete degradation was attained in 25 min under visible light irradiation. The excellent stability and reusability of ABAP catalysts were examined by five subsequent runs. A probable degradation mechanism of ABAP composites was carefully surveyed. Furthermore, radical trapping experiments confirmed that the ˙O2− radical was the main active species in the photodegradation reaction.

In this study, soymilk was fermented with Lactobacillus casei 16. The contents of aglycone isoflavones, saponins, total phenolic, and free amino acid in the fermented soymilk, and the protection for the HepG2 cells against 2,2'‐azobis(2‐amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (ABAP) damage and the antiproliferative effects of the fermented soymilk on the HT‐29 cells and Caco‐2 cells were studied. The results showed that the levels of total phenolic, aglycone isoflavones, and free amino acids in the L. casei 16‐fermented soymilk were enhanced. The ethanol extract and the water extract of the L. casei 16‐fermented soymilk showed protection for HepG2 cells against ABAP damage and inhibited the proliferation of the HT‐29 cells and Caco‐2 cells, which may be attributed to the enhanced level of total phenolic, aglycone isoflavones, and free amino acids in the L. casei 16‐fermented soymilk., Soymilk fermented with Lactobacillus casei 16 showed the enhanced levels of total phenolic, aglycone isoflavones, and free amino acids. L. casei 16 fermented soymilk showed protection for HepG2 cells against ABAP damage and inhibited the proliferation of human colon cancer cells, which may be attributed to the enhanced level of total phenolic, aglycone isoflavones, and free amino acids in the L. casei 16‐fermented soymilk.

Some Lactobacillus strains have been reported to have antioxidative activity. In our previous work, we screened Lactobacillus plantarum Y44 for its antioxidative activity. In this study, we further studied the antioxidative activities of L. plantarum Y44 using chemical antioxidant methods, including the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) free radical scavenging assays, the ferric reducing antioxidant power test, and oxygen radical absorbance capacity test, and we assessed damage caused by 2,2'-azobis(2-methylpropionamidine) dihydrochloride (ABAP) in a Caco-2 cell model. The results of the chemical antioxidant assays confirmed the antioxidative activity of L. plantarum Y44, which was consistent with the protection of Caco-2 cells against ABAP injury by L. plantarum Y44. We also found that L. plantarum Y44 significantly promoted expression of Nrf2 pathway-associated proteins, downregulated expression of inflammatory-related cytokines IL-8 and tumor necrosis factor-α in ABAP-damaged Caco-2 cells, and enhanced expression of the tight junction proteins β-catenin and E-cadherin. We determined that L. plantarum Y44 exerted antioxidative effects by quenching oxygen free radicals and activating the Nrf2 signaling pathway in Caco-2 cells.

Marine red macroalgae are natural sources of sulfated polysaccharides, water-binding molecules used in the food industry as thickeners, stabilizers and gelling agents. Sulfated polysaccharides extracted from the red seaweed Gracilaria caudata also show biological activities with potential therapeutic effects against diseases associated with oxidative stress; hence, it is possible that they may be used as nutraceuticals and/or food additives. This study aimed to obtain the sulfated polysaccharides from G. caudata (SP-Gc) through enzymatic extraction and to determine their chemical structure and antioxidant potential. Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry showed that SP-Gc have 0.9% of sulfur atoms and a degree of sulfation of 0.14%. An average molecular mass of 116.51 kDa was determined through gel permeation chromatography. The SP-Gc structure as an agar-type galactan was determined by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy (13C and 1H). The in vitro antioxidant activity of SP-Gc was determined through the following tests: ferrous ion chelating ability and total antioxidant capacity. The results indicated that SP-Gc have significant antioxidant activity in a concentration-dependent manner. The in vivo antioxidant activity of SP-Gc was evaluated in an oxidative stress model induced by 2,2′-azobis(2-methylpropionamidine) dihydrochloride (ABAP) in rats pretreated with SP-Gc (3 and 10 mg/kg). Catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels were measured and all doses increased CAT and SOD activity. These results demonstrate that SP-Gc may be used as hydrocolloids, due to their characterization as agar, and as nutraceuticals, due to their antioxidant activity.

The antioxidant potential (capacity and activity) of aqueous fullerene dispersions (AFD) of non-functionalized C60, C70, and Gd@C82 endofullerene (in micromolar concentration range) was estimated based on chemiluminescence measurements of the model of luminol and generation of organic radicals by 2,2′-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (ABAP). The antioxidant capacity was estimated by the TRAP method, from the concentration of half-suppression, and from the suppression area in the initial period. All three approaches agree and show that the antioxidant capacity of AFDs increased in the order Gd@C82 <, C70 <, C60. Mathematical modeling of the long-term kinetics data was used for antioxidant activity estimation. The effect of C60 and C70 is found to be quenching of the excited product of luminol with ABAP-generated radical and not an actual antioxidant effect, quenching constants differ insignificantly. Apart from quenching with a similar constant, the AFD of Gd@C82 exhibits actual antioxidant action. The antioxidant activity in Gd@C82 is 300-fold higher than quenching constants.

Abstract: This paper considers the use of social learning networks to increase the productivity of IT consulting companies. We advocate that using a carefully designed social learning network can reduce the learning time for enterprise software developers and consultants. By viewing learning as a social act, a consulting company can increase its productivity. Increased productivity is based on hastening the learning process. The focus of this paper is to identify the ways in which social networks catalyze the process of knowledge sharing in order to increase the productivity in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) consulting sector. We present a set of detailed practical results that were obtained from experiments with an original knowledge sharing method that was applied to training young software developers to enable them to work for some of the world’s most demanding IT companies. The experimental data were collected from 2004 to 2011 during 12 training sessions conducted by an IBM partner in conjunction with the Computer Science Department of a large Eastern European University. The main results of this study were: (1) designed a learning community that reduced the time needed to insert junior consultants into ERP projects; and (2) statistical data were generated that measured the increase in productivity that an ERP consulting company could obtain by employing organizational learning networks. We also discuss the positive impacts of social networks that can be established between private companies and universities. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

This paper describes the method, which is developed by the authors to automated correction of software errors, which is based on the analysis of successful project fixes for the ABAP programming language available in open repositories. The method generates the candidates of patches based on predefined templates and ranks the results by the probability of successful application, which is determined by a probabilistic model using machine learning methods. The probabilistic model is formed by training on features, which are extracted from data from successful and unsuccessful patches of ABAP programs in open repositories. The developed method is tested on synthetic examples and real projects with errors in the ABAP language. As a result of the experiments, the method successfully generated some patches, which showed their efficiency. The results in accuracy and efficiency are comparable or superior to the results of experiments in similar works by other authors., Over the years, there has been a growing interest in ERP systems - in our SAP case. These IT systems have come up with a number of novelties in terms of unifying IT and business processes. This created the premise of essential changes in data management, sorting them across multiple categories, reporting them now much faster. In the case of this article, we have transformed the ideas from the business environment into an application meant to serve the accountants in terms of monitoring and reporting their activity to their superior level. Key performance indicators (KPIs) have been defined by the business environment according to the purpose for which they were created. This required a differentiation on skill levels, so that the results were conclusive and helped the business to manage the activity he was responsible for. We wanted to provide a complete framework for KPI management in the economic organization level by developing this application – Z-KPI tool, the results being useful to the heads of department in order to well manage their work, so that the targets assumed at the beginning of the year to be achieved. The entire application was developed in SAP system, using the latest technology - ABAP WebDynpro. The software application is now in production and the degree of use is high, because the SAP system is the core system in the company for which this case study was performed.

In this study, the antioxidant capacity of the Lactobacillus plantarum Y16 fermented soybean milk was investigated by different chemical antioxidant methods and ABAP-induced oxidative stress model in HepG2 cells. It was found that the L. plantarum Y16 fermented soybean milk had better radical scavenging ability for hydroxyl and DPPH radicals, and had better ferric ion reduction ability compared with unfermented soybean milk. The cellular antioxidant assay (CAA) analysis revealed that the CAA values of ethanol and water extracts of L. plantarum Y16 fermented soymilk were dose dependent. The further research showed that the ethanol and water extracts of L. plantarum Y16 fermented soybean milk protected the HepG2 cells against ABAP oxidative damage through activating Nrf2/Keap1 signaling pathway and up-regulating the expression of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX). The results showed that the antioxidant capacity of L. plantarum Y16 fermented soybean milk was superior to that of unfermented soybean milk.

- Abstract
The accumulation of UV photolysis products of amino acids tyrosine and tryptophan, which possess antioxidant activity, has been studied by the method of luminol-dependent chemiluminescence. The amount of antioxidant products was judged by the value of the total antioxidant potential of a UV-irradiated solution, the measure of which was the distance between the peaks of the chemiluminescence curve in the system 2,2′-azo-bis(2-amidinopropane) hydrochloride + luminol with a UV-irradiated and an unirradiated sample (induction period, τ). Simultaneously, the absorption and fluorescence spectra of unirradiared and UV-irradiated amino acid solutions were recorded. It was shown that exposure of a tryptophan solution to radiation led to accumulation of a fluorescent product N-formyl kynurenine (λ = 325 nm, λ = 440 nm), and the curve of its accumulation was similar to the growth of antioxidant potential. When a tyrosine solution was irradiated, the main fluorescent product was dityrosine (λ = 310 nm, λ = 415 nm). Nevertheless, the dose dependences of the formation of dityrosine and the total antioxidant potential were completely different. It was found that another product of tyrosine UV photolysis, dihydroxyphenylalanine, possessed pronounced antioxidant activity. It was concluded that the main antioxidant produced under UV irradiation of tryptophan is formyl kynurenine, and under irradiation of tyrosine it is dihydroxyphenylalanine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Abstract: Oxidation of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) is thought to be a major factor in the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis. Natural antioxidants have been shown to protect LDL from oxidation and to inhibit atherogenic developments in animals. Structurally related prenylated pterocarpans, erybraedin C and bitucarpin A, and the prenylchalcone plicatin B were examined for their ability to inhibit LDL oxidation in vitro. The kinetic profile of peroxidation is characterized by the lag time of oxidation (t
lag ), the maximal rate of oxidation (Vmax ) and the maximal accumulation of oxidation products (ODmax ). Specific variation of the set of kinetic parameters by antioxidants may provide important information about the mechanism of inhibitory action of a given compound. At equimolar concentrations (1μM) the prenylated derivatives tested were found to inhibit 1μM copper sulphate-induced oxidation of LDL (50μg protein/ml) in accordance with the following order of activity: plicatin B>erybraedin C⪢bitucarpin A. Structural aspects, such as hydrogen-donating substituents, their number and arrangement in the aromatic ring moieties, and the prenyl and methoxy substituents, were investigated in order to explain the findings obtained. It is well known that the antioxidant activity of flavonoids is believed to be caused by a combination of transition metal chelation and free-radical-scavenging activities. To investigate these differences we comparatively studied the protective mechanism of plicatin B in copper-dependent or -independent LDL oxidation. The latter was mediated by 2,2’-azo-bis-(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (ABAP). We measured the formation of conjugated dienes (OD234nm ). Plicatin B (0.2-1.5μM) delayed the Cu2+ (1μM) promoted oxidation as conjugate diene formation (tlag ) of the LDL by 45.2-123.5min and reduced Vmax by 0.46-0.29μM/min. In the ABAP (0.2mM) promoted LDL oxidation tlag increased by 67.2-110.2min through plicatin B (0.5-2.5μM). In experiments in which Cu2+ concentrations increased (0.5 - 3μM) and the amount of plicatin B (1μM) was maintained constant, a significant decrease in tlag and an increase in Vmax was observed. In this study plicatin B appeared to exhibit a mixed mechanism, interfering with the formation of the radicals by chelating copper involved in the initiation/propagation reaction, but also by scavenging free hydroperoxyl radicals resulting from ABAP thermolysis. In addition, theoretical analysis indicated that plicatin B preferentially established the chelating complex with Cu2+ , because its affinity value is notably higher (by a factor of 5) than that for Cu+ . Literature data suggest that the inflamed intestine may be subjected to a considerable oxidative stress. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to simulate the oxidative stress in the gastrointestinal tract and to explore its effect on intestinal motility. This was attained by treating isolated segments from the rabbit jejunum and from the guinea pig ileum with 2,2′-Azobis (2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (ABAP), which generates peroxyl radicals by thermal decomposition. Treatment of intestinal segments with ABAP reduced the muscarinic cholinergic response to acetylcholine in both preparations and induced a dose-dependent inhibition of the spontaneous contractions in the jejunum, also in the presence of tetrodotoxin. ABAP was found to inhibit the contractile response induced by BaCl2 in guinea pig ileum preparations. This effect was not dose-dependent and it was reversed by Bay-K 8644, which activates voltage operated L-type calcium channels. The rapid and reversible effects of ABAP suggest that it might directly affect L-type calcium channels before lipoperoxidation induction. In conclusion, the results of the present study show that ABAP could be a useful tool to simulate early contractility dysfunctions mediated by oxidative stress. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

The phenolic contents, antioxidant, and antiproliferative activities of Malus doumeri were evaluated. Heyuanxiaoguo variety contained higher level of total phenolics (101.9 mg GAE/g fruit, DW), whereas Xinyishanzha variety exhibited the highest total flavonoids (85.35 mg CE/g fruit, DW), and highest cellular antioxidant and antiproliferative activities. Higher ORAC and PSC values were found in Limushan variety. Chlorogenic acid, phloretin-2′-xyloglucoside and ursolic acid were the predominant phenolics in M. doumeri , their contents were highest in Limushan (1850 mg/100g fruit, DW), Xinyishanzha (2212 mg/100g fruit, DW), and Heyuanxiaoguo variety (506.3 mg/100g fruit, DW), respectively. Among the 14 compounds identified, chlorogenic acid and phloretin glycosides accounted for 55.95% of the extracellular antioxidant capacity, while quercetin, luteolin, ursolic acid, and chlorogenic acid contributed significantly to the intracellular antioxidant activity. Furthermore, the intracellular antioxidant property of the Xinyishanzha extracts was related to the protection of endogenous antioxidant enzymes activities and inhibition of reactive oxygen species production.

An integrated microfluidic chip with arrayed micro channels consisted of eight repeat arrayed 6×6 cell culture chamber was designed and fabricated. The analytical microsystem combined with designed microchip, measuring device and environmental control unit was established for the cell culture and parallel cellular antioxidant activity (CAA) analysis of plant antioxidants. The microfluidic chip included a PDMS cover and a glass substrate which consisted of two hundreds and eighty-eight round cell culture micro chambers and forty-eight independent parallel array channels. Eight groups of different samples with six different concentrations could be investigated simultaneously with multimode reader in one test. HepG2 cells were successfully cultured on the microchip. Moreover, the viability percentage of the HepG2 cells exposed to these plant antioxidants solutions at different concentrations for 24 h was higher than 90%. With 2′,7′-Dichlorofluorescin diacetate (DCFH-DA) as a fluorescence probe, 2,2′-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (ABAP) as the initiator of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), we tested the inhibitory effect of several plant antioxidants such as quercetin, rutin and kaempferol on free radicals. The CAA units were calculated by the data measured from cellular morphology and fluorescence intensity over time. It was shown that the CAA units of quercetin, rutin and kaempferol were (71.42 ± 0.19) μM, (74.31 ± 0.36) μM and (69.92 ± 0.09) μM ( x ± s, n = 3), while the calculated IC 50 were (7.20 ± 0.06) μM, (52.06 ± 0.14) μM and 32.55±0.03 μM ( x ± s, n = 3), respectively.
