Purpose. To analyze the nature, frequency and effectiveness of correction of surgical complications during high-tech phacoemulsification (PE) with IOL implantation. Material and methods. A prospective non-randomized study is devoted to the analysis of surgical complications in patients who underwent outpatient FE surgery with IOL implantation. The results of 3000 consecutive operations (3000 eyes) performed in 2019-2020 at the Eye Surgery clinic were studied. The calculation of the IOL was carried out on the diagnostic system "VERION" (Alcon). All operations were performed in the conditions of 3D visualization using the digital system "NGENUITY® 3D Visualization System" (Alcon). Alcon IOLs were implanted: monofocal, multifocal, toric. Results. During the surgical intervention, 33/3000 (1.1%) surgical complications occurred. The main surgical complication was the rupture of the posterior capsule of the lens-26 (0.86%) of the eyes, mainly without loss of the vitreous body-22 (0.73%). Conclusions. 1. The number of surgical complications during high-tech phacoemulsification with IOL implantation was 1.1%. 2. The main one among them was the rupture of the posterior capsule of the lens-0.86%, mainly without loss of the vitreous body-0.73%. 3. High-tech surgical support of operations and correction of the arisen operational complications allowed to successfully eliminate all complications in all cases. In recent years, the interest of researchers in smoked products has increased, primarily as a source of protein food. At the same time, the task of developing all new types of original smoked prod-ucts is very urgent. One of the promising directions in this area is to expand the product range by changing and improving their taste, aroma and shelf life by smoking the product with smoky fla-vors. Therefore, to solve the problems associated with ensuring high smoking efficiency, it is nec-essary to develop a method that ensures the penetration of smoking particles into the product by eliminating limiting factors in their path. The presented method for producing smoked musk duck with the use of overpressure and vapors of spicy-smoky flavors fully meets the modern develop-ment of the food industry. The article presents the results of the study of the diffusion of carbonyl compounds into the product thickness in an experimental setup. These studies confirm the feasi-bility of using excessive pressure when smoking musk duck.

The paper presents a comprehensive study of low-capacity Silurian carbonate reservoir rocks in the northeastern regions of the Timan-Pechora province. Silurian deposits in the sections of the Khosedayu swell, the Talbey block, and the Makarikha-Salyukin anticlinal zone are mainly secondary dolomites and, to a lesser extent, limestones, as well as with low-power interlayers of agrillites, clay dolomites, dolomite-anhydrite rocks. The deposits were formed in coastal-marine and shallow-marine conditions. As a result of the conducted studies, it was noted that dolomites with a shadow biohermal structure have the best filtration properties in the Lower Silurian, and bioclastic limestones – in the Upper Silurian. The reservoir rocks of the Talbey block of the Chernyshev ridge have the best filtration-capacitive properties. The main volume of the void space in the first case is associated with cavities and cracks, in the second one – with matrix porosity. However, the signs of modern karst in the salts of Malo-Tavrotinsky strata observed from the core indicate a possible reformation of the deposits, which requires more careful attention when predicting deposits. The results obtained can contribute to the design of a rational system for the development of hydrocarbon deposits.

The analysis of the short-circuit current and open-circuit voltage performed for solar arrays of satellites operating in medium earth orbit reflects the essential exceeding the short-circuit current degradation rate over the open-circuit voltage degradation rate. The study demonstrated also that there is another factor of non-radiation degradation resulted in additional degradation of the solar array short-circuit current.

The Palaeozoic of the norther part of the Pay-Khoy carbonate parautochthone is composed of mainly shallow-water (shoal) limestones and dolostones containing numerous bitumen deposits. Increased concentrations of the bitumen locate in the areas of dolomitisation and tectonized zones with strikes of 20-40°, 60-70°, 110-130°. Conodont colour alteration indexes range from 3.5 up to 5.5 in the Palaeozoic rocks of the parautochthone. This indexes correspond to MK4-MK3 and upper stages of catagenesis (temperature of maturation is about 180-350°С). Clear stratigraphical trend of degree of the maturation exists: mean temperature changes from 300°C in the Ordovician rocks to 170-200°C in the Middle Carboniferous rocks. The trend allows supposing that the Lower Palaeozoic was in the “oil window” in the Middle Carboniferous. In this time mobilization of the organic matter from the Lower Palaeozoic deposits followed by hydrocarbon migration through the jointing zones of northern and north-eastern strike occurred. The migrated hydrocarbon composes the bitumen deposits in the carbonate Palaeozoic rocks.

A sign-based (SB) approach suggests an alternative criterion for quantile regression fit. The SB criterion is a piecewise constant function, which often leads to a non-unique solution. We compare the mid-point of this SB solution with the least absolute deviations (LAD) method and describe asymptotic properties of SB estimators under a weaker set of assumptions as compared with the assumptions often used with the generalized method of moments. Asymptotic properties of LAD and SB estimators are equivalent; however, there are finite sample differences as we show in simulation studies. At small to moderate sample sizes, the SB procedure for modelling quantiles at longer tails demonstrates a substantially lower bias, variance, and mean-squared error when compared with the LAD. In the illustrative example, we model a 0.8-level quantile of hospital charges and highlight finite sample advantage of the SB versus LAD.

Experiments on stainless steel duct material, W and Mo mirror surfaces as well as modeling of the experiment using a new computer code which takes into account scanning tunnelling microscope measured surface topography are described. Simulations of the sputtering yield as a function of the primary ion energy and the angle of incidence for ion irradiated targets demonstrated the difference in behavior for ideally smooth, non-irradiated and irradiated targets.
