The effectiveness of on-site evidence verification largely depends on the investigator’s preparation for its production and the competent choice of a course of action in each specific situation. Taking into account minor’s age-related psychological and physiological characteristics, the issues of involving their legal representatives in the investigative action under consideration deserve increased attention. Purpose: to identify organisational and tactical features of the on-site minor’s evidence verification with the participation of a legal representative. Methods: formal and dialectical logic, description, analysis. Results: the article highlights the importance of the motivational component of the legal representative’s participation in the on-site evidence verification. Based on the analysis of empirical material, the article identifies a set of factors under which on-site evidence may be verified without the participation of a legal representative. The article deals with the issues of choosing a legal representative and his/her exclusion from participation in the investigative action. The characteristics of the preparatory and working stages of the on-site minor’s evidence verification with the participation of a legal representative are noted. The article concludes on the ability of the legal representative to influence the course and result of the investigative action and the importance of taking this fact into account by the investigator.

The following article is devoted to the study of euphemistic dysphemisms and their connection with obscene vocabulary in the youth English oral speech of the XXI century. The concepts of "dysphemism" and "euphemistic dysphemism", the peculiarities of their use in oral speech, the connection with profanity are studied. Based on the personal experience and research, some words and expressions of the English language related to euphemistic dysphemisms are presented and contextually analyzed.

Novel amides of some amino and citric acids were synthesized and studied for their ability to improve the kinetics of carbon dioxide hydrate formation. It was demonstrated that these compounds can be effective promoters of hydrate formation, even at low concentrations. The addition of citric acid and norleucine amide (CTR+Nle) increased the water-to-hydrate conversion and significantly reduced the induction time. At a concentration of 0.05 wt. %, the conversion rate reached 57 ± 3 %, which is 21 and 3.1 % higher than in water without additives and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) solution, respectively. In the presence of CTR+Nle, the induction time decreased to 35 min, which is an 8.1-fold reduction compared to water without additives, as well as 5.8-fold less than with tryptophan solution known as a promoter of carbon dioxide hydrate formation.

Acid treatment is commonly used to enhance the production capacity of wells drilled in carbonate deposits. However, field outcomes of this procedure may vary significantly. Current approaches to acid treatment design rely on advanced software tools that evaluate major acidizing factors. Machine learning is a valuable complement to the existing techniques: it facilitates the selection of target wells and aids in defining initial parameters for design engineering on reliable and effective software platforms. This study examines potential applications of machine learning in target selection based on the history of treatment outcomes influenced by the initial well conditions, operational conditions, treatment frequency, acid volumes, acid system types, pretreatment strategies, acid system diverters, and acid residence time. Acid treatment design requires complex laboratory work to investigate the kinetics of acid-rock interactions determined by the mineral composition of the rock formation and the chemical properties of the acid system, including the concentrations of its components. The problem of predicting the reaction kinetics of acid systems by processing an array of laboratory data using machine learning methods, specifically linear regression and random forest methods, was discussed. It was demonstrated that the incorporation of machine learning enables the development of robust decision-making algorithms that optimize acid treatment by considering its multifactorial effects. These algorithms significantly simplify the tasks of acid treatment design.

In the article, when researching the events related to the riot of prisoners in Tsaritsyn prison in June 1904, various aspects of the stay of political prisoners in prisons of the Russian Empire are comprehensively considered, with an emphasis on the study of tactics and methods of their confrontation with the prison administration, which they articulated as a struggle for their rights and dignity, considering it as a continuation of the revolutionary struggle with tsarism. The article shows the conditions and causes of the maturation of the riot, as an excess of confrontation between political prisoners and the prison administration, and analyzes its consequences.

Introduction. The relevance of the chosen research topic is of lasting importance, since the place, role and importance of the political police is always of paramount importance in order to ensure the security of the state and its power structures. Theoretical analysis. During the second half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, the gendarmerie bodies underwent gradual reform and serious intradepartmental and interregional reorganization. As a result, by the beginning of the last century, two main, interconnected and interacting structures of the political police operated in the Russian Empire – a separate corps of gendarmes (with a network of provincial gendarmerie departments and gendarmerie police departments of railways) and Security (search) departments (points). Empirical analysis. It was revealed that the political police bodies operating in the early twentieth century on the territory of the Saratov province (Saratov Provincial Gendarmerie Department, Tambov-Ural Gendarmerie Police Department of Railways, Saratov Security Department and Volga Region Security Department), which underwent organizational and structural changes in accordance with the directive acts of the authorities, purposefully performed their functions of search, covert supervision and surveillance of unreliable elements, inquiry and political investigation, as well as the execution of court sentences in political cases. Results. The process of reorganization and restructuring of political police bodies at the local level, in particular, in the Saratov province, testifies to the contradictory and ambiguous nature of the ongoing transformations. The empirical material studied shows that the authorities of late imperial Russia failed, to the necessary extent, to create an effective system of political investigation, which was supposed to resist the rapidly developing revolutionary movement at the beginning of the 20th century.

Aim – to conduct a comparative assessment of the accuracy of the developed method of preoperative planning for primary hip arthroplasty. Material and methods. The "Method of preoperative planning in hip arthroplasty" and special device were developed to improve the accuracy of preoperative planning and reduce the number of complications. A clinical study was conducted in the comparison groups. In the main group (50 patients), we used the proposed method in the pre-operative planning; in the control group the patients were prepared for the operation using a standard planning method. The accuracy of evaluation of implant sizes, limb length and offset were registered in the post-operative period. The preoperative planning data were compared with the results obtained. Results. The accuracy of offset estimation in the main group was higher than in the control group (T-criterion = -2.6; p = 0.01). The average difference between the estimated offset and the one obtained in the main group was 1.4±1.5 mm, in the control group it was 2.2±1.7 mm. The error in head size estimation in the main group was less than in the control group (odds ratio = 3.02). No significant differences were registered in determining the size of components of the endoprosthesis, and there were no differences in the leg length in the study groups. Conclusion. The developed method allows for improving the accuracy of preoperative planning in hip arthroplasty. The proposed device ensures the correct placement of patients when performing pelvic radiography, and also makes it easy to change it when performing this procedure.

This article describes a method of predicting super-viscous oil deposit development performance by catalytic aquathermolysis process in cycling steam simulation (CSS). This technology involves the injection of an oilsoluble catalyst into the reservoir after several cycles of steam injection and oil production. According to the results of laboratory studies, the effect of catalytic oil upgrading in the reservoir is expressed in non-instantaneous reduction in oil viscosity and increase in sweep efficiency. To assess the effectiveness of the technology on the field-scale thermal numerical simulation model, based on the results of laboratory studies, is used. The oil upgrading process is represented in the model by the oil upgrading reaction and dependence of oil viscosity and residual oil saturation on the degree of oil upgrading. The kinetic parameters of the reaction and the properties of the converted oil are adjusted according to the results of experiments in a high-pressure reactor and tube tests.Field scale numerical simulation resulted in dependance of catalytic upgrading efficiency on the uniformity of well temperature profile, presence of residual oil and reservoir properties at the effective wellbore radius. It is shown that the effect of catalytic upgrading on a CSS well is determined not only by physical and chemical changes in oil composition but also by adsorption properties of the catalyst itself, heating the wellbore region and matrix and fracture interaction in reservoir. According to simulation results, choosing an optimal catalytic volume and injection scenario allows the recovery of up to 25% of additional oil, that reveals good perspectives of improving steam-based technologies by in-situ catalytic upgrading.

An important tool in determining residual oil saturation today is the single-well tracer test, as the preferred method for assessing the potential for using enhanced oil recovery methods (EOR) and developing pilot projects. The success of the test performed directly depends on the optimal choice of the tracer composition, which will contribute to the qualitative determination of the parameters required in the calculation of the residual oil saturation of the formation. To assess the boundary conditions for the applicability of the tracer in the field, the kinetic and thermodynamic properties of tracers are considered under various reservoir conditions of the field. Based on the results of this work, an algorithm for assessing the applicability of the tracer for reservoirs in a wide range of salinity and temperatures is presented.
