Trends in changes in the institution of public service give rise to changes in the requirements for public civil servants in the conditions of building a service state. The purpose of the article is to highlight the main directions of changes in the activities of the public civil servants, starting with the definition of requirements for their skills, competencies and education. The article reveals the content of the concept of "service state", describes the specifics of the formation of a service state in Russia. Among the main trends of changes are: digitalization, customer orientation, organization of work with the use of project activity technologies, including agile methodology; self-management and self-motivation. Among the methods it is worth noting general: analysis, classification, analogy; particular: comparison, description, modeling. The authors conducted a theoretical analysis of the economic, managerial and regulatory literature on the research topic. The authors grouped the requirements for the skills and competencies of the public civil servants in the service state with a division into digital and other; the types of professional service activities are highlighted, from which it is logical to start replacing public civil servants with services / bots. The need to change the attitude to the education of future officials and to increase the requirements for them, starting from the lowest positions, is justified. It is suggested that it is important to change the thinking of GGS, their attitude to education and the need to change the requirements for it.

Background. The issue of acute respiratory infections in children remains one of the most urgent. Therefore, in the pandemic due to the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the search for effective treatment regimens for this disease is necessary. Aim. To compare the change of clinical symptoms, terms of virus elimination and disease-related economic cost as well as utilization of outpatient healthcare services in children with new coronavirus infection using the herbal medicine Tonsilgon N, oral solution, added to standard therapy. Materials and methods. A prospective open comparative cohort study of the effectiveness of coronavirus infection treatment in children using the standard of care alone and the standard of care with Tonsilgon N was conducted. Group 1 children (n=720) received the standard therapy for COVID-19 and Tonsilgon N oral solution for 10 days, and group 2 patients (n=670) only received the standard therapy for COVID-19. Treatment efficacy was evaluated according to the change of clinical symptoms in the observed patients, the results of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA detection in nasopharyngeal smears by polymerase chain reaction, the utilization of healthcare services, temporary disability of parents, the economic cost of the disease. Results. Studied patients of both groups had a typical clinical presentation of mild to moderate severity new coronavirus infection. Fatigue (96.599.7%) and sore throat (93.893.9%) were the most frequent symptoms. Posterior pharynx hyperemia was noted slightly less frequently. Low-grade fever was noted in 85.786.6% of the patients, equally often in patients of both groups. The significant therapeutic effect of the herbal medicine containing extract of marshmallow root, chamomile flowers, horsetail herb, walnut leaf, yarrow herb, oak bark, and dandelion herb includes reducing the time of sore throat relief in 93.2% of main group patients. After 10 days of treatment, sore throat persisted only in 6.8% of group 1 and 68.1% of group 2 patients (p=0.0001). These results indicate that Tonsilgon combined with standard of care is a promising way to improve the quality of life of children with the new coronavirus infection. The addition of Tonsilgon in therapy for new coronavirus infection in children shortens the time of acute inflammation resolution and reduces the duration of inflammatory intoxication. The therapy of new coronavirus infection under the provisional guidelines leads to a reduction in the time for clinical recovery and virus elimination in children and adolescents (p=0.0001) and a decrease in the utilization of outpatient healthcare services are observed: 3/4 of Group 1 patients and 1/2 of Group 2 patients (p=0.0001) applied for medical help twice during the observation period, 14.6% of Group 1 patients and 29.1% of Group 2 parents applied for medical help more than 3 times (p=0.0001). Thus, the direct and indirect economic costs of the disease decreased. The lower economic cost for parents of children in Group 1 was due to less need for medication and a lower reduction in family income due to temporary disability compared to those for parents in Group 2 (p=0.0001). No treatment-related adverse events was reported. Conclusion. The above data indicate that Tonsilgon therapy is an affordable way to optimize the treatment of new coronavirus infection in children.

Purpose. Analysis of the cataract surgery visual outcomes and advantages of intraocular lens Synthesis SIPY.Material and methods. We have operated 43 eyes with cataract (38 patients) using Synthesis SIPY lens. Non-corrected visual acuity was 0.13 ± 0.08, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 0.36 ± 0.1.Results. Following 7 months, secondary cataract was not detected in any patient, what explain the actuality of square edge optical part on 360° of perimeter. The lens is inserted in cartridge in factory sterile conditions which exclude the contact between lens and environment, reduce the risk of incorrect inserting of the lens in cartridge following pinching by the cartridge flaps and, subsequently, the haptic tearing off. This complex “lens-cartridge” excludes the damage of haptics and optic parts, which can occur in using other IOLs during the removal of the lens from the vial and placing it in the groove of the cartridge. Position of cartridge in injector centralizes the cartridge tunnel for the Accuject Pro injector plunger, thereby reducing the risk of pinching the rubber tip of the IOL haptic plunger during implantation. The diameter of the cartridge tip allows the IOL to be implanted through a 1.6 mm tunnel. The uncorrected visual acuity after surgery was 0.6 ± 0.28. The best corrected visual acuity was 0.78 ± 0.24.Conclusions. The Synthesis SIPY lens has a number of advantages: factory installation of the lens into the cartridge and compatibility of the cartridge with the Accuject Pro injector prevent damage to the IOL; Implantation of the Synthesis SIPY lens is possible through the 1.6 mm corneal tunnel; high diopter ranges from -10.0D to + 40.0D allows for maximum visual results.

The article raises the issue of the content of a textbook on rhetoric, analyzes the available options for constructing such a textbook. The author concludes that most often the content of modern textbooks does not correspond to the classical idea of the concept of rhetoric, but duplicates various humanitarian subjects. The reason for this state of affairs is the lack of the necessary number of specialists in rhetoric. If a philologist is assigned to teach rhetoric, classes are usually filled with tasks on the culture of speech. If rhetoric is transferred to specialized departments (legal, economic, etc.), it is replaced by an analysis of certain aspects of future activities (and not speech) of students. If the actors take up the rhetoric, all its content is reduced to the stage of utterance. An important indicator of an unprofessional approach to rhetoric in all such situations is the availability of tasks on aspects not considered in the theoretical part of the relevant paragraph, as well as the replacement of a systematic and consistent presentation of the material with all kinds of “tips” and “memos”. A professional textbook is always based on a single scientific concept, which is reflected both in the content (the author is not distracted by the message of irrelevant information) and in the composition (the information is arranged in a natural logical sequence). The second feature of such a textbook is a strict orientation to a certain audience: the author consciously selects information, and also offers exercises and tasks that help to form professionally significant skills of the addressee. Textbooks addressed to representatives of specific professions necessarily contain a rhetorical analysis of all professionally significant situations and specific recommendations for constructing statements in professionally significant genres.

The modern structure of the Zagros folding-thrust structure was formed under the influence of collision processes on the eastern flank of the collision zone of Eurasia and Arabia. Based on structural-geomorphological analysis and spatio-temporal features of the seismicity distribution, the article considers the features of the latest and modern geodynamic development of Zagros as a classical collision orogen. It is noted that the orogen is at the stage of erosion development, its seismic activation is associated to a greater extent with local deformations within individual blocks and is transformed under the influence of intense man-made impacts associated with the extraction of hydrocarbons within the Mesopotamian Lowland and the Persian Gulf.

The aim of the article is to conduct research on the issue of whether compulsory vaccination, enshrined in international and national legal acts, violates labour rights. The main research method was a comparison method, which helped to compare the experience of different countries in restricting labour rights in the context of compulsory vaccination against COVID-19. Moreover, the main characteristics of restrictions on labour rights during the COVID-19 period were highlighted using the method of system analysis. The evolution of compulsory vaccination was analysed using a historical-logical method. A formal legal method was applied to generalise, classify, and systematize research results, as well as to present these results. The current outbreak of COVID-19 has provoked trends in discriminatory behaviour in the workplace. Therefore, the restrictions on labour rights must comply with international human rights standards, which, however, largely reflect a position that does not support compulsory vaccination.

Currently, one can observe active use of electronic resources by teachers at various teaching stages, on all levels of basic education. I n this work, the authors review an electronic library available on the «Moscow Electronic School» website. The article reveals the potential of using electronic network resources of the Moscow Electronic School project for the self-development of students, provides examples of the use of such resources in the educational process, gives a brief overview of scientific literature on this topic, describes the results of experience with the electronic library. It all allows the authors to talk about the efficiency of using such resources, both in Russia and abroad, namely, to state an increase in the level of activity and the quality of educational material assimilation. Electronic libraries are of great importance to the interactive learning process. As another result of the study, the authors note an increase in the level of educational motivation. Thus, we can say that the resources of modern electronic libraries offer a significant potential for the development of necessary skills, abilities and knowledge in students.

One of the major problems impeding the sustainable development of goose production is low egg hatchability. Thus, it is imperative to develop more efficient ways to improve the hatching qualities of goose eggs. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of changes in the temperature regime of incubation on the availability of vitamins A (retinol) and E (α-tocopherol), as well as important elements of antioxidant protection in embryos and goslings. The initial heating of eggs at temperatures of 39 and 39.5 °C during the first 24 or 36 h was used as the main factor influencing goose embryo development. The dynamics in the content of antioxidant retinol and α-tocopherol were analyzed in the liver of embryos and goslings (up to 9 days of age) using the standard regime of incubation (at 38 °C) and the prior heating of eggs (at 39 °C and 39.5 °C) in the first 24 and 36 h of incubation. The obtained results provided new information about the effect of the initial heating of eggs on the function of antioxidants in the gosling’s body. It was confirmed that the age-related changes of retinol and α-tocopherol levels in goslings are similar to those found in chicks, ducklings, and turkey-poults. In addition, the effect of an egg’s weight on hatchability was established, with the hatchability of eggs in the medium weight class being higher than that of smaller and larger eggs. The efficiency of the redistribution of retinol from the yolk to the liver in day-old goslings was higher by 6% when exposing eggs to a temperature of 39.5 °C for 36 h. The initial heating regime at 39.5 °C led to an increased hatch of goslings, and to the evenness of their hatch from eggs of different weights, approaching the hatch values of the medium class. Overall, the α-tocopherol concentration in the liver of embryos and goslings, using the starting heating of eggs, was higher than that with the standard temperature mode of incubation. At the same time, the hatch rate of goslings increased by 9–13%, and the hatchability of eggs by 10–16%. For use in the practice of hatcheries and breeding poultry farms, it is recommended that goose eggs are heated for 36 h at 39.5 °C.

Based on the comparison of anthocyanins’ accumulation in various parts of eggplant and Myb1 S. melongena polymorphisms using the Chi-squared test, the high efficiency of molecular markers, identifying Myb1-del6 and Myb1-del26 S. melongena alleles associated with impaired anthocyanins’ synthesis in fruits, was confirmed. As a result of studying the nature of anthocyanins’ accumulation in the fruits of S. melongena, depending on the allelic composition of the Myb1 gene in F1 hybrids and F2–F3 populations, an intermediate character of the inheritance of the trait “accumulation of anthocyanins in various parts of plants” was established in heterozygous eggplant forms with Мyb1-del6 and Мyb1-del26 alleles of the Мyb1 gene. Complete identity of the nucleotide composition of exon regions of the Myb2 S. melongena gene was demonstrated in the forms with different anthocyanins’ accumulation in fruits. Using the developed markers, a new breeding material for developing of functional nutrition varieties was obtained.

One of the important directions of modernization of the Central Asian outskirts of the Russian Empire was the formation of the region’s judicial system. During the second half of the 19th century, a complex configuration of regional justice was created, which was supposed to act not only as a way of coordinating social interaction but also as a means to express the political interests of the state. The purpose of the work is to identify and analyze the main forms and directions of the judicial policy of the Russian Empire in the Central Asian outskirts in the second half of the 19th – early 20th century. The judicial reform carried out in the Russian Empire in 1864 led to the implementation in the Steppe Region and Turkestan of a set of measures aimed at the re-organization of the judicial and legal system. This process reflected the orientation of the social policy towards modernization. During the reforms of the 1868, 1886, 1898, imperial judicial institutions and legal norms were imported into the region. However, the traditional court also retained significant positions. The justice system of the Central Asian outskirts did not meet the needs of society. The preservation of the People’s Court did not allow the local population of the region to be fully incorporated into the all-Russian legal space. Those processes demonstrated the incompleteness of the judicial and legal system reforms and the need for systemic modernization. The article is intended for specialists interested in the national policy of the Russian Empire, and the history of the Central Asian region.

We describe the forms of intertextuality that are active in the discourse of social advertising. The purpose of work is to establish the types of use of borrowed texts, as well as the ratio of verbal and visual borrowings. The material is 4000 posters of environmental themes, collected from various media banks on the Internet using a continuous sampling method. We conclude that the most frequent form of borrowing is reminiscence (61.5 % of the total number of intertextual inclusions). Here the visual and verbal components are in relative balance: the idea is expressed in words, and the image acts as an illustration and/or eye-stopper. In second place in terms of the number of examples is a citation (28.4 %). Rational (borrowings from legislative acts, scientific works, statements of recognized experts and other official sources) and emotional (statements of famous writers, cultural figures, artists, athletes, etc., containing metaphorical and evaluative elements) are distinguished here. When using this form, verbal quoting predominates. The third position is occupied by allusions (10.1 % of the total number of borrowings). Here, the main burden most often falls on the image, which should evoke associations with the prototext.

The study is devoted to scientific and theoretical analysis of the principles of state activity in the development of national policy in the context of ensuring human’s environmental rights and interests, the creation of effective legal mechanisms for their guarantee, exercise, and protection, solving systemic issues in this area. The purpose of the study is a comprehensive examination and analysis of legislation from the standpoint of greening national and foreign policy, national development strategies. The methodological basis of the study is a set of general philosophical, general scientific, special scientific, and legal methods. It is proposed to consider greening as a multifaceted phenomenon. In general, the state environmental policy is a component of state policy, which fixes its strategic goals and objectives, defined for the future, considering environmental factors. It is proved that at the legislative level there should be clear mechanisms for the legal support of integration of environmental policy into sectoral, national, and regional strategies, local action plans, and interaction with civil society institutions, the scientific community. It is argued that modern state environmental policy and further systematisation of environmental legislation should be based on the provisions of environmental law doctrine to consider modern approaches to environmental regulation, integration of environmental requirements and regulations to state planning, sectoral, regional, and local development. Based on conducted research and synthesis, proposals and recommendations for the development of a unified concept of legal policy, in particular, environmental legal policy as its component, also, for the improvement of national regulatory framework (namely by adopting the Concept of systematisation of environmental legislation and modernisation of the contemporary strategy of state environmental policy) are elaborated

BACKGROUND: A lot of patients are admitted to hospital with mature cataract, this raises the risk of complications and makes longer the rehabilitation period. AIM: To identify the reasons for admission of patients with advanced forms of cataract, and associated factors complicating the surgery in these patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 674 operated patients with various degrees of lens opacity; out of them, 145 (21.5%) cases were with mature cataracts. RESULTS: 95.2% (n = 138) of patients did not seek ophthalmological attention, 4.8% (n = 7) of patients noted that they were referred late due to the fault of their local ophthalmologists. In 31.9% of cases (138 patients), the main cause was absence of an ophthalmologist in the outpatient polyclinic. The patients lack of funds for the purchase of an intraocular lens (IOL) was the reason in 26.1%. In 15.2% of cases, patients refused surgery due to domestic problems. 14.5% of patients lived with the idea of self-restoration of vision. Low transportable patients amounted to 5.1%; in 4.3% of cases, elderly patients did not perceive the loss of spatial vision in one eye. Remaining 2.9% of patients from the psychoneurological dispensary were admitted for phacoemulsification having intumescent cataracts. The maturity of the cataract leads to certain intraoperative difficulties, which are accompanied by additional manipulations, increasing the risk of complications and the duration of procedures. These include: pupil diameter less than 5 mm 37.2%; pseudoexfoliation syndrome 22.8%; the presence of an advanced intumescent cataract in 36.6%; shallow anterior chamber 44.8%; lens subluxation 24.1%; atrophy of the pupillary margin 39.3%; fibrosis of the posterior capsule diagnosed intraoperatively 13.8%. Phacoemulsification was carried out using the Optimed phaco machine (Russia). For an immature cataract, we used a power of 30% and the time spent was 2.73 seconds; with a mature one 60% and 9.96 seconds respectively. The best corrected visual acuity on Day 1 after cataract extraction was 0.53 0.27, on Day 7 0.73 0.22, after 3 months 0.76 0.25. CONCLUSIONS: Mature cataract is encountered in 21.5% of all cataract surgeries. In 95.2% of cases, patients themselves did not seek medical help. The maturity of the cataract led to certain factors complicating the course of surgery: pupil diameter less than 5 mm, swelling of the lens cortical masses, shallow anterior chamber, lens subluxation, atrophy of the pigment border of the iris. The ultrasound power used in the mature cataract surgery was 2 times higher than in that of immature ones; and the operating time of ultrasound increased by 3.6 times.

In order to use marker-assisted selection (MAS) methods in the development of hybrids and tomato varieties resistant to late blight, the efficiency of molecular markers to the alleles resistant to Phytophthora infestans known in the literature was assessed. High efficiency in the identification of homozygous and heterozygous forms using CAPS dTG63 (Hinf1) and SCAR NCLB-9-6678 markers to Ph2 and Ph3 alleles was established respectively. DNA extraction techniques, reaction mixture compositions, as well as amplification and visualization result modes were adapted. The presence of the Ph3 allele in F1-standard Adapt and Alamina hybrids, and F1 Azart, Agenchik, Dzivosny, and Black Brilliant hybrids included in the Register of Varieties of the Republic of Belarus, as well as in the breeding lines of the collections possessed by the Institute of Genetics and Cytology, NAS of Belarus, and the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy was demonstrated.

Отмечается, что правильно организованное образовательное пространство в ДОО позволит гармонично включить ребенка дошкольного возраста с РАС в образовательный процесс в соответствии с его потребностями, особенностями, интересами.

Introduction. Iodine deficiency remains an urgent challenge for the Russian Federation. Pregnant women should receive prophylactic potassium iodide supplements at a dose of 200–250 mcg per day. To monitor the severity of iodine deficiency in the regions and the efficacy of prenatal iodine prophylaxis, it is prudent to use the neonatal hyperthyrotropinemia rate for newborns (thyroidstimulating hormone level is higher than 5 μIU/L) based on the results of congenital hypothyroidism screening.Objective. To assess the changes in the severity of iodine deficiency and the efficacy of iodine prophylaxis in pregnant women and newborns in the Saratov region based on the incidence of neonatal hyperthyrotropinemia over the past 25 years.Materials and methods. The incidence of neonatal hyperthyrotropinemia in newborns in the Saratov region for the period of 1996–2000 and 2015–2020 was analysed. In total, 229,625 children were examined.Results and discussion. In 1996–2000, neonatal hyperthyrotropinemia was detected in 37.4% of newborns, which was evidence of the presence of moderate iodine deficiency in the region. In 2015–2020, the incidence of neonatal hyperthyrotropinemia decreased by 5.42 times to 6.9% (p < 0.0001) against the background of group iodine prophylaxis in pregnant women, but remained higher than the World Health Organization targets for iodine-rich regions (Conclusions. Despite the obligatory doctor’s prescription of prenatal group iodine prophylaxis, there is still iodine insufficiency in pregnant women and newborns in the Saratov region, which requires further improvement of the regional iodine deficiency eradication action system in the risk groups. However, significant advances in the fight against iodine deficiency in the nutrition of the Russian population can only be achieved after the adoption of the federal law on universal salt iodization.

Seedlings of yellow lupine treated with Colletotrichum lupini isolate were studied by the method of SRAP-analysis with the purpose to assess the differential expression of genes. As a result, the PCR fragment corresponding to tolerant seedlings was found. The genetic determinants found are likely involved in the control of the resistance (tolerance) of lupine plants to anthracnose.

A comparative study of the calipers GPM (DKSH, Switzerland), Holtain (Holtain Ltd, Great Britain), the caliper designed by V.E. Deryabin, and the sliding caliper GPM (Martin type) was carried out by the four measurers. The study was conducted using a metal caliper checking gauge GPM, a ‘sandwiches’ of soft silicone rubber kSil™ GP250 (Silicon Engineering, UK), as well as by measurements of subscapular, triceps, suprailiac, and calf skinfolds utilized in the Heath-Carter somatotype assessment scheme, in 20 adult volunteers (10 women and 10 men). Results and discussion. When measuring the caliper checking gauge, the V.E. Deryabin’s and the sliding caliper were accurate, the caliper GPM slightly underestimated (by 0.2 mm), and the caliper Holtain overestimated the exact values (by 0.4-0.6 mm). When measuring ‘sandwiches’ of silicone rubber, the GPM and Holtain calipers showed small but statistically significant differences between measurers (up to 1.4 mm), and for the V.E. Deryabin’s caliper, these differences were more pronounced (up to 5 mm). With a sufficiently high reproducibility of skinfold data, the mean values of their total thickness for the GPM and Holtain calipers differed significantly, and for the V.E. Deryabin and GPM calipers, there were no significant differences. The measurement data using the sliding caliper were consistent with those for the Holtain caliper but showed the largest variation of data between measurers: the maximal difference of the total skinfold thickness averages was 5.2 mm and 7.1 mm in the female and male subgroups, respectively, or 10-14% of the total averages. Conclusion. The results obtained support the need for mutual comparison of skinfold calipers and control of technical measurement errors to ensure data comparability. Cross-calibration of skinfold calipers is a necessary procedure that should precede the anthropometric study. When measured by an experienced anthropologist, the technical error of measuring skinfolds with a sliding caliper can be reduced, but this instrument is not recommended for training and subsequent use for skinfold measurements due to the high risk of obtaining inconsistent data.

In February 2020, geochemical tracers along with hydrochemical and hydrological characteristics were used to reveal a discharge site of salt groundwaters in the head of the Razdol’naya R. estuary at a distance of 22 km from its mouth bar. The elevated activity of 224Ra isotopes from 11.1 ± 0.1 to 2.2 ± 0.05 Bq/m3 in the bottom water layer over a distance of 15 km indicates to the propagation of slightly saline waters from a pool 8 m in depth toward the receiving basin. The distribution of stable water isotopes (δ18O and δD) and ions of basic salt composition showed that water of the top aquifer at the site of discharge area can suffer the effect of seawater. The major cause of the observed phenomenon is supposed to be the penetration of seawater into the top aquifer within the estuary during winter low-water season and the seepage of this water in the region with largest depth. The contrast of the temperature of ground and surface water was accompanied by a positive temperature anomaly in the zone of their interaction and a decrease in ice thickness along the mixing zone.

The article presents the main aspects of the improved information and analytical tools for strategic planning and diagnostics based on a balanced system of target indicators for the development of a gas distribution organization through a multi-vector survey and a situational-point rating assessment. The proposed methodology assumes the calculation of the resulting integral indicator of production and financial activity. Considering the proposed development strategy, a system of target indicators has been built.

Efficiency in detecting of tomato forms with no chalcone-naringenin flavonoid in pink-fruited and yellow-fruited forms was evaluated using DNA markers for various polymorphisms of the SlMYB12 gene. The closest relationship between a phenotype with the transparent skin of fruits and a deletion in the promoter region of the SlMYB12 gene was shown. The highest efficiency in the detection of the recessive y allele of the regulatory SlMYB12 gene, leading to the chalcone-naringenin synthesis disruption and skin transparency, was established by a combination of markers MYB12-603delaF1/603del-aR6 (Myb-603del aF1/R6) and MYB12-603del-aF1/603del-aR5 (Myb12 aF1/R5). Fruit coloration peculiarities were shown depending on a combination of the structural alleles of a carotenoid biosynthesis pathway and SlMYB12 gene alleles. A combination of this y allele with the alleles of the gene of the lycopene-β-cyclase beta (b) and old gold crimson (ogc ) allows selecting pink and raspberry forms respectively. In tomato accessions with yellow and orange fruits, the y allele provides pale shades of the main coloration determined by carotenoid biosynthesis genes (yellow flesh (r), tangerine (t), Beta (B)). The presence of SNP T → C of the SlMYB12 gene (171476848 position of chromosome 1) was identified in 80 % of accessions with the transparent skin of fruits of the evaluated collection. Treatment ofprognostically unfavorable forms ofacute leukemia isaserious problem ofhematology, since their frequency inthe group ofadult patients reaches 60%, and inelderly patients- 80-90%.Aim: toanalyze the case ofdiagnostics and treatment ofacute myelomonoblastic leukemia with anunfavorable genetic prognosis inayoung adult female using double haploidentical bone marrow transplantation.Samples ofbone marrow and peripheral blood ofpatient K., 35years old, who recived program chemotherapy and double haploidentical bone marrow transplantation inthe Sverdlovsk Regional Hematological Centre were examined.Atthe onset ofdisease was noted hyperleukocytosis, blastaemia and infiltration ofleukemic cells inthe bone marrow. Cytochemical reactions tolipids were positive in7,0% ofblasts, small-granular and large-granular glycogen was detected in24,0% ofblast cells, and diffuse- in22,0%. Immunophenotypically, 28,0% ofblast cells were characterized byexpression ofHLA-DR, CD13, CD33, CD34, CD38, CD117, MPO-cyt, 13,0%- CD33, CD11cyt, CD64, CD14. The cytogenetic study determined the karyotype 48, XX, +4, +21[2]/ 47, XX, +4[3]/ 46, XX[2]. Despite the detection ofoncogenic mutations, the tumor was chemosensitive topolychemotherapy (including anthracyclines with cytarabine). However, given the unfavorable genetic prognosis, itwas decided toperform abone marrow transplantation. Due tothe lack ofanHLA-matched unrelated donor, the first haploidentical transplantation was performed from the patient'seldest daughter. At+51day, transfusion ofdonor white blood cells with correction ofthe immunosuppression scheme was performed tocorrect persistent pancytopenia. At+ 71day after the first transplantation, taking into account the remaining pancytopenia, asecond haploidentic transplantation from the patient'syounger daughter was performed. The total duration ofhematological remission was 48months, including 36months after the second haploidentical bone marrow transplantation.

Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) increasingly occupy the study of human reproduction. In addition, in developed countries they contribute to breeding of more than 50 % of cattle. In the management of collections of genetic lines of laboratory animals, these technologies are obligatory components of cryopreservation and rederivation. ART procedures include the development of early embryos outside the mother’s body and the high probability of incomplete synchronization of the physiological state of the surrogate mother and transplanted embryos. Since all this occurs at the stage of the highest susceptibility of embryos to epigenetic reprogramming, the full cycle of ART and its individual components can lead to stable phenotypic changes in the offspring. Their reality is confirmed by studies of the morphological and functional characteristics of sexually mature offspring of CD1 outbred mice, obtained using different variants of early embryo transplantation. Comparative studies of body mass and body composition, basal glucose level and response to glucose load (glucose-tolerance test – GTT) have been done on sexually mature males and females. Animals were separated in 4 groups according to the variant of embryo transplantation: group (control) – natural mating; group (2cl-bl) – incubation of 2-cell up to blastocysts; group (2cl-2cl) – removal and transplantation of the 2-cell embryo without incubation; group (Bl-bl) removal and transplantation of the blastocysts without incubation. All embryos were transplanted to recipient females of the same line. It was found that sexually mature offspring obtained with all variants of transplantations had a higher relative fat content and, correspondingly, lower lean mass compared to the control. This effect was more pronounced in females than in males. Unlike body compositions, embryo transplantations had a greater effect on basal glucose concentration and GTT in males than in females. In this case, the offspring of the 2cl-2cl and 2cl-bl groups were characterized by a higher tolerance to glucose load (GTT) compared with the control and the Bl-bl group. Stable deviations of body compositions and glucose homeostasis indices detected in experimental groups of progenies indicate the phenotypic significance of the embryo transplantations per se.

The paper considers a stationary flow of an incompressible fluid in a flat layer caused by an inhomogeneous source that induces heating or cooling of the lower boundary (there are four types of heating). Regularities in the distribution of hydrodynamic velocity fields between the types of heating are revealed, estimates of the parameters of dimensionless similarity numbers for each type of heating corresponding to counterflows and stagnant zones are obtained.

The life-history theory suggests that parental experience of the environment is passed to offspring, which allows them to adapt to prevailing conditions. This idea is supported from the mother’s side, but to a much less extent from the father’s side. Here, we investigated the effect of immunising fathers on pre- and neonatal development and on immune and neuroendocrine phenotypes of their offspring in C57BL/6J mice. Nine days before mating, fathers were intraperitoneally injected with the immunogenic protein keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH). Females mated with immunised males had less pre-weaning mortality of newborns compared to those mated with control males. Although the antibody response to KLH was similar for the male offspring of control and immunised fathers, the mass indexes of their main immune organs and their androgen response differed significantly. The mass indexes of the thymus and spleen in adult male offspring of immunised fathers were higher compared with the control offspring. The plasma testosterone levels were significantly decreased after KLH administration in the male offspring of control but not of immunised fathers. This was correlated with changes in sperm average path and straight-line velocities. Finally, excitatory neurotransmitters prevailed over inhibitory ones in the amygdala of the progeny of immunised fathers, while in control offspring, the opposite occurred. This is indicative of complex behavioural changes in the offspring of immunised fathers, including sexual ones. Therefore, the paternal experience of foreign antigens modulates the immune and neuroendocrine systems of their progeny, suggesting possible survival and reproductive adaptations to parasitic pressure.

Regressive development is widespread in peatlands of the northern hemisphere; a new type of peatlands—regressive bogs—should be introduced in addition to the traditional peatland types, such as eutrophic, mesotrophic, and oligotrophic peatlands. Diagnostic features and classification of soils typical of regressive bogs have already been discussed in relevant scientific literature. However, there are virtually no data on the microbiological analysis of soils of the aforementioned bog types. The aim of this study is to identify structural and functional organization of the microbial communities in soils of a regressive noncryogenic bog (sampling area in Tver oblast of the West Dvina Forest-Bog Station of the Institute of Forest Science, Russian Academy of Sciences). Numerous black bare peat spots without sphagnum mats, from 0.05 to 1 m2 in area demonstrate a high degree of regressive process at the studied bog. Data on the number and biomass of microorganisms were obtained by direct method of fluorescence microscopy. The taxonomic composition of bacterial and fungal communities was determined by plate method, while direct microscopy was used for algal communities. The CO2 and CH4 emissions were analyzed using chamber method. It was found that the total microbial biomass in the soils under regressive spots is higher than in the soils without any features of regressive process; the regressive peat mat had its own biomass reaching 50% of the total biomass in the active layer. Algae predominate in the biomass of regressive peat mats. Bacteria and fungi constitute 13–26% of the total biomass of regressive peat mats. Regressive mats are characterized by a high number of algae and bacteria. It should be noted that all algae genera found in the regressive peat mats represent the species characteristic of oligotrophic peatlands. Fungi of regressive peat mats were represented by mycelium and spores. During the wet period, the length of fungal mycelium rapidly increased by one–two orders of magnitude and reached 2–4 km/g. The domination of Penicillium miczynskii and Umbelopsis vinacea species, which typically predominate in eutrophic peatlands, can be considered a specific feature of the micromycetal complex of the regressive peat mat. Regressive peat mats are characterized by higher rates of plant residues mineralization because of the accumulation of nitrogen. This leads to an increase in the carbon dioxide emission, on the one hand, and to an inhibition of methanogenesis, on the other hand.

–Anorthosites of the Olonkhuduk pluton of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt are dated at 1772 ± 1 Ma (ID TIMS U-Pb zircon method). Similar age estimate (1784 ± 10 Ma) was previously obtained for anorthosite of the Khungilingol pluton from the Ider block of the Tarbagatai terrane. These data indicate a significant time gap (70–60 Ma) between the collision that formed the Early Precambrian blocks of the Baidaric and Tarbagatai terranes in the range 1860–1850 Ma and the emplacement of the anorthosites. The termination of accretion-collision processes and consolidation of the Early Precambrian block of the Baidaric terrain are marked by the postkinematic subalkaline granites with an age of 1825 ± 5 Ma. Geochemically, the anorthosites of the Olonkhuduk and Khungilingol plutons are similar to the typical anorthosites of ancient cratons. Sm-Nd isotopic data indicate a mixed source of these anorthosites: juvenile mantle component of Paleoproterozoic age and crustal component of Neoarchean age. It can be assumed that the primary mafic magma of the anorthosites experienced a significant crustal contamination. Based on the similar geologic setting, age, and composition, the anorthosites of the Olonkhuduk and Khungilingol plutons can be ascribed to a single within-plate complex. The age values obtained for the anorthosites coincide with the estimated age of rift magmatism in the North China craton at 1.8–1.75 Ga and the emplacement time of mafic dikes swarms at 1778 ± 3 Ma (SIMS U-Pb method). Thus, the considered Early Precambrian blocks by the end of the Paleoproterozoic (about 1900–1850 Ma) could be a part of the Columbia supercontinent (Rogers and Santosh, 2002).

Granite–porphyries of the Yazovka complex occur in the northern part of the Riphean Baikal–Patom fold-thrust belt within the Tonod Uplift of the Early Precambrian basement. The geochronological (U–Pb), isotope-geochemical (Sm–Nd), and geochemical studies have shown that the rocks of this complex belong to A-type tin-bearing granites of the age of 709 ± 7 Ma. Initial magma of these granites was formed from the mixed Early Precambrian crustal and mantle source in the intraplate geodynamic setting. This tectonic event was global in nature and manifested the Late Riphean impulse of the lithospheric extension, which was associated with breakup of the supercontinent Rodinia under the influence of a mantle superplume.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to examine the international regional system of the preservation of the right to health in the European human rights system through the work of the ECtHR, to analyse the case law of the ECHR based on the human right to health. This purpose determines the following tasks: to identify the features of the realization of the right to health in the European mechanism of human rights protection; to study the mechanism of realization of the right to health in the activity of the ECtHR; to describe the case law of the ECtHR in terms of the right to health.Design/methodology/approachThe “black letter” law methodology is used to focus attention on conducting research on the letter of the law and the desire to conduct a descriptive analysis of legal norms, based on primary sources.FindingsOn the basis of the conducted researches, it is possible to draw a conclusion that the ECHR, albeit implicitly, refers to the right to health as well.Originality/valueThe right to health is included in the catalogue of the most important universally recognized human rights and is most often considered as an integral part of socio-economic human rights, but there is no special universal or regional mechanism for protecting this category of rights.

The latest vaccination campaign has actualized the potential impact of antigenic stimuli on reproductive functions. To address this, we mimicked vaccination’s effects by administering keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH ) to CD1 male mice and used their sperm for in vitro fertilization (IVF). Two-cell embryos after IVF with spermatozoa from control (C) or KLH-treated (Im) male mice were transferred to surrogate mothers mated with vasectomized control (C) or KLH-treated (Im) male mice, resulting in four experimental groups: C–C, Im–C, C–Im, and Im–Im. The pre-implantation losses were significantly lower in the Im–C group than in the C–Im group. At the same time, the resorption rates reduced markedly in the C–Im compared to the Im–C group. Embryo and placenta weights were significantly higher in the Im–Im group. Although the GM-CSF levels were lower in the amniotic fluid of the gestating surrogate mothers in the Im–Im group, they were strongly correlated with embryo mass. The number–size trade-off was only significant in the Im–Im group. This suggests a positive, cooperative effect of spermatozoa and seminal fluid from immune-primed males on embryo growth and the optimal distribution of surrogate mother maternal resources despite the negative impact of males’ antigenic challenge on the IVF success rate.
