This study aims to determine how the effect applying the think pair share learning method has on the reasoning and mathematical abstraction abilities of class X students of SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. This study used a quantitative approach with the type of experimental research using a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all 290 class X students of SMAN 9 Makassar. The sample in this research was an experimental class of 36 people and a control class of 36 people. The instrument in this study was a test to measure reasoning abilities and mathematical abstraction in the form of a pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis, namely the multivariate analysis of variance (manova) test. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The average results of students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the experimental class and the control class increased. (2) The average results of students' mathematical abstraction abilities in the experimental class and the control class increased. (3) There is an influence of the TPS type cooperative learning model's application on the reasoning and mathematical abstraction abilities of SMA Negeri 9 Makassar class X students. (4) There is an effect of applying the TPS type cooperative learning model to the mathematical reasoning abilities of SMA Negeri 9 Makassar class X students. (5) There is an effect of applying the TPS type cooperative learning model to the mathematical abstraction abilities of SMA Negeri 9 Makassar class X students.

Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan maksud mengembangkan modul geometri analitik bidang dan ruang materi konikoida berdasarkan Teori Van Hiele yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri atas empat fase, yaitu: fase investigasi awal, fase desain, fase realisasi, dan fase tes, evaluasi, dan revisi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket respon mahasiswa, angket respon dosen, lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa, lembar observasi kemampuan dosen mengelola pembelajaran, dan tes pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul yang dihasilkan valid, praktis dan efektif, dengan rata-rata kevalidan untuk bahan ajar dan semua instrumen penelitian adalah 4,5. Praktis, dengan rata-rata lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran 1,56, rata-rata persentase angket respon mahasiswa 82,68 dengan kategori positif dan rata-rata persentase angket respon dosen adalah 86,94. Efektif, rata-rata persentase aktivitas mahasiswa adalah 80,125, rata-rata persentase kemampuan dosen mengelola pembelajaran adalah 4,00, dan persentase ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa adalah 75%. Abstract: This study aims to determine the application of discovery learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is experimental research with a quasi experimental design. The population in this study were all students of grade VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa with grade VII.A as samples an experimental class and grade VII.C as a control class. The research instruments used a test to solve mathematical problems. Data analysis techniques were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the application of discovery learning model is effective on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu quasi eksperimental design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa dengan sampel pada kelas VII.A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII.C sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan sebuah instrumen tes diagnostik untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang berbentuk pilihan ganda dua tingkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research & Development (R & D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Tessmer yang dikenal dengan tipe formatif evaluation. Pengembangan Tessmer terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu preliminary, self evaluation, tahap prototyping (expert reviews, one-to-one dan small group) dan field test.Angket respon siswa pada instrumen tes diagnostik pilihan ganda dua tingkat memenuhi kriteria tercapai dan tidak ada perbaikan/revisi terhadap instrumen tes yang akan dikembangkan karena lebih dari 50% siswa yang memberikan respon positif. Dari hasil angket respon siswa dapat diketahui bahwa produk instrumen tes diagnostik ini dapat dikatakan praktis untuk digunakan. Hasil data tes diagnostik pilihan ganda dua tingkat untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep siswa, dapat diketahui bahwa jumlah siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori paham konsep 58,95%, persentase siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 12,63% dan persentase siswa yang tidak paham konsep sebesar 28,25%. Berdasarkan hasil pekerjaan siswa dalam menjawab tes diagnostik pilihan ganda dua tingkat dapat dikatakan bahwa produk instrumen tes ini cukup efektif dalam mengidentifikasi tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.Abstract: The study is aimed at producing a diagnostic test instrument to identify the level of understanding of mathematical concepts of students in the form of two-level multiple choice. This research is a Research & Development (R & D) by using Tessmer development model known as formative type evaluation. The development of Tessmer consists of four stages: introduction, self-evaluation, prototyping (expert review, one-to-one and small group) and field testing. Questionnaire responses of students on the two-level multiple choice diagnostic test instrument meet the achieved criteria and no improvement/revision of the test instrument to be developed as more than 50% of the students responded positively. From the questionnaire results of students’ response, it can be identified that the product of diagnostic test instrument can be said to be practical to use. The results of the two-level multiple choice diagnostic test instrument data to identify students' concept of understanding can be observed that the students who understand the concept, those who experienced misconceptions, and who do not understand the concept are 58.95%, 12.63%, and 28.25% respectively. Based on the results of the students’ work in answering the two-level multiple choice diagnostic test, it can be said that the test instrument product is quite effective in identifying the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts.

Mathematics learning is essential for children with special needs (CSN). The process of learning mathematics at the CSN can be started from concrete to abstract. During the math learning process, many gestures are produced by CSN. Gestures can direct the individual to take and understand the implied meaning of any movement or facial expression. The problem formulated in this study is how the CSN gesture in learning mathematics and aims to describe the gesture produced by CSN during the mathematics study. The subject in this study was the CSN with an autistic category. Research is conducted by observing the mathematical learning process. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data is collected with an observation technique using an audio-visual camera and is subsequently analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the fundamental characteristics of CSN in math learning could be seen from the gesture. Each gesture contains verbal meaning and can represent how they think they are in understanding mathematical problems. Another characteristic is indicated by repeated actions (gesture pointing repeatedly). This condition indicates the special attention and confidence of CSN toward the object being observed. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk: mengetahui perbandingan keefektifan antara Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick dan Model Kooperatif Tipe Make a Match pada materi Segiempat. Perbandingan keefektifan yang dimaksud dilihat dari (1) aktivitas siswa, (2) respons siswa, dan (3) hasil belajar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP LPP UMI Makassar dan sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yakni kelas eksperimen I diajarkan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick dan kelas eksperimen II diajarkan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Make a Match dipilih menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri atas hasil belajar siswa, data aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran, dan data respons siswa terhadap perangkat dan pembelajaran. Hasil uji hipotesis pada taraf siginifikan dengan uji-t menunjukan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick lebih efektif daripada Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Make a Match dengan materi pokok Segiempat dikelas VII SMP LPP UMI Makassar.

Innovative learning is carried out through a combination of the Investigation Group (IG) and Inquiry Strategy (IS) into a modified learning model namely IIG (Inquiry Investigation Group). The ability to think mathematically includes many mental activities which involve the workings of the brain. To describe students' mathematical thinking ability, one of the efforts that can be done is to apply the mathematical problem-based learning model. It involves students to solve a problem through scientific method stages, so that students can learn the knowledge related to the problem and also have the ability to solve the problem. This study aims to describe students' mathematical thinking ability through Mathematical Problem-Based Learning Model.This type of research is qualitative. The subjects of the study were senior high school students in the city of Parepare. The data collections were conducted by observing the learning process in class and giving the assignment/test to the students. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of research and discussion it is concluded that the students ability to think have sequences in the activities of mathematical thinking with the application of mathematical problems-based learning model. Therefore, the students' mathematical thinking ability is described as follows: (1) identification stage of the problem, (2) the grouping stages, and (3) drawing conclusions.

Nanofibers are nanotechnologies with cross-sectional diameters ranging from tens to hundreds of nanometers. We explained the definition of nanofibers and their unique physicochemical characteristics. This study aimed to see the characterization of Polyvinyl pyrrolidone/Cellulose acetate/Aloe vera extract fiber. The fiber was made with a concentration of PVP/CA in 13% (w/w) and an Aloe vera extract in 10% (w/w) using the electrospinning method. The electrospinning technique involves an electrohydrodynamic process in which liquid polymer droplets are electrified to produce jets that elongate to produce fibers. Electrospinning is an easy, fast, and simple technique for producing fibers with sizes ranging from micrometers to nanometers. Process parameters used in this research, such as flow rate of 0,20 ml/hour, high voltage of 12 kV, and drum speed is 200 rpm with the distance to the needle tip of the collector is 75 cm. The result showed that fiber PVP/CA/AE morphology is bead free and homogeneous. The average diameter of PVP/CA/AE fibers was 1115 nm.These results indicate that the resulting fiber is in the form of nanofibers. A small fiber diameter will result in a broader surface area. The XRD result shows that the PVP/CA/AE fibers have a semi-crystal phase.

The birth process involves physical and psychological mechanisms. Anxiety creates physical and psychological tension, interfering with the birth process. The study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of Yoga on pregnant women's an’iety and labor duration. This study used an experimental design with a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) involving 60 pregnant women divided into two groups: Yoga and walking (30 participants each). The variables studied were pregnant women's anxiety and the duration of labor. The sampling technique was conducted using block randomization. Data were analyzed using the Independent T-test. The Yoga group attended 30-minute sessions twice weekly, while the walking group engaged in the same frequency and duration of walking until giving birth. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) before and one month after the intervention in both groups. The aim of this study is to describe the mathematical thinking process of autistic students in terms of gesture, using a qualitative approach. Data collecting is conducted by using 3 (three) audio-visual cameras. During the learning process, both teacher and students' activity are recorded using handy cam and digital camera (full HD capacity). Once the data is collected (the recording process is complete), it will be analyzed exploratively until data triangulation is carried out. Results of this study describes the process of mathematical thinking in terms of a gesture of students with autism in three categories, namely correctly processed, partially processed, and contradictory processed. Correctly processed is a series of actions to solve the problems that are processed properly marked with a matching gesture, partially processed is a series of actions to resolve problems with partially processed properly marked with discrepancy gesture, while contradictory processed is a series of actions to solve the problems that are processed incorrectly marked with the dominance of discrepancy gesture. Matching gesture demonstrate the suitability of movement or facial expressions when observing, pointing, and uncover/calling the object being observed, while the discrepancy gesture indicates a mismatch movements or facial expressions when observing, pointing, and uncover/calling the object being observed.

The electrospinning method has been used successfully to make polyvinylpyrrolidone nanofiber containing Anredera cordifolia leaves (BLE). The research methods used were qualitative and pure experiment method. Polyvinilpirolidone nanofibers containing BLE were prepared with three mass variations of the polyvinylpyrrolidone (% w/w), namely 12%, 10%, and 8% w/w, respectively. The results of the macroscopic photo show that the fiber structure looks white for PVP nanofibers and yellow for PVP/BLE nanofibers. The fiber morphology was analyzed using SEM and the results showed that PVP and all PVP/BLE nanofibers were like a continuous strand of crossbars with a diameter of 590 – 1190 nm. The decrease in the concentration of the PVP polymer led to a reduction in the diameter of the resulting nanofibers. The coefficients of variance (ε), of the PVP, BLE1, BLE2, and BLE3 nanofibers were 0.06, 0.09, 0.11, and 1.22, respectively. The physicochemical structure of the nanofibers was evaluated using XRD and FTIR. The chemical analysis (FTIR) showed that there was a molecular interaction between Anredera cordifolia leaves extract and polyvinylpyrrolidone in the form of hydrogen bonds. In scrutinizing the amalgamation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach within mathematics pedagogy, extant scholarship scarcely offers a holistic evaluation of their synergistic efficacy. Prior research predominantly accentuates scholastic outcomes, frequently neglecting the ramifications of these models on classroom dynamics, including the nuances of student-teacher interactions and student engagement and participation levels. This study probes the integration of PBL and TaRL models to augment students' comprehension of mathematical principles, employing a mixed-methods research design encompassing qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The investigation centered on seventh-grade students in junior high school, utilizing test instruments to evaluate mathematical comprehension and observational protocols to document student and teacher engagement for enriched insights. Comprehensive qualitative and quantitative data analyses were executed. The findings disclosed significant advancements in students' grasp of mathematical concepts, with observations revealing heightened student engagement and more favorable teacher-student interactions. Statistical analyses evidenced substantial disparities between pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). The results proffer recommendations and pragmatic implications for enhancing mathematics education, underscoring the imperative for teacher professional development in deploying this integrative pedagogical model to elevate the quality of mathematics instruction at the secondary school echelon. The Cromaloena odorata (COE) contains phenols, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, saponins, steroids that possess diverse therapeutic effects. However, COE has poor solubility in water and poor absorbtion in the body. Incorporation of COE in nanofiber system is a promising way to increase CEO solubility. One of the method to produce nanofiber is electrospinning. The electrospinning process there are three of the most important process parameters are applied flowrate, voltage and TCD. In this study we developed optimized condition for electrospinning process of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/CEO and their characterization. The Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis showed that modification of flowrate and TCD did not affect the morphology of PVA and COE fiber. However fiber diameter decreased when lower flowrate, higher voltage was applied, and TCD. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) study was conducted to identify possible intermolecular interaction between PVA/COE that has potential application as antimicrobial wound dressing.
