Conflict of interest: No Introduction and Objectives: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Reliable knowledge of the prevalence of occult CAD, particularly anatomically confirmed CAD is limited and cardiovascular risk (CVR) models only predict the risk of an acute coronary event within a set period. It has been described that a FIB-4 score is associated with a higher CVR. Objective: to determine the utility of noninvasive markers of liver fibrosis in CAD. Patients / Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study in western Mexican population was conducted in two tertiary centers in central and western Mexico from March 2019 to April 2023. Patients with MASLD according to the latest recommendations (hepatic steatosis demonstrated by imaging study and at least one cardiometabolic criteria) who required percutaneous coronary angiography were included, demographic data and coronary angiographic were recorded. Noninvasive fibrosis indexes were calculated. Continuous variables were subjected to a distribution analysis and equality of variances to subsequently perform a mean comparison analysis with U-Mann-Whitney test between patients with monovascular, bivascular and trivascular involvement. A correlation analysis was also performed between the invasive markers and the Syntax index. Results and Discussion: A total of 168 patients were included with a mean age of 66 ± 12 years with a predominance of male sex with 75.6% (n= 127). Angiographic findings included 37.5%, monovascular, 32.7%, bivascular and 29.8% trivascular involvement. Comparison of means of noninvasive markers of fibrosis demonstrated a significant difference in HFS between patients with monovascular (0.17 ± 0.18), bivascular (0.27 ± 0.18) and trivascular (0.30 ± 0.25) coronary artery disease, p≤ 0.001. A correlation was also demonstrated between non-invasive markers and Syntax score: FIB-4 (r=: 820, p≤0.001), APRI (r=: 766, p≤0.001), HFS (r= 869, p≤0.001), (r= 820, p≤0.001), NFS (r= 807 p≤0.001). Conclusions: The score of noninvasive tools to assess liver fibrosis correlates positively with the complexity of CAD and could be considered as noninvasive tools to be used in the CVR assessment in MASLD patients.

The experiences associated with remembering, including metamemory feelings about the act of remembering and attempts at remembering, are not often integrated into general accounts of memory. For example, David Rubin (2022) proposes a unified, three-dimensional conceptual space for mapping memory states, a map that does not systematically specify metamemory feelings. Drawing on Rubin's model, we define a distinct role for metamemory in relation to first-order memory content. We propose a fourth dimension for the model and support the proposal with conceptual, neurocognitive, and clinical lines of reasoning. We use the modified model to illustrate several cases, and show how it helps to conceptualize a new category of memory state: autonoetic knowing, exemplified by déjà vu. We also caution not to assume that memory experience is directly correlated with or caused by memory content, an assumption Tulving (1989) labeled the doctrine of concordance.

Roughly two-thirds of all people report having experienced déjà vu-the odd feeling that a current experience is both novel and a repeat or replay of a previous, unrecalled experience. Reports of an association between déjà vu and seizure aura symptomatology have accumulated for over a century, and frequent déjà vu is also now known to be associated with focal seizures, particularly those of a medial temporal lobe (MTL) origin. A longstanding question is whether seizure-related déjà vu has the same basis and is the same subjective experience as non-seizure déjà vu. Survey research suggests that people who experience both seizure-related and non-seizure déjà vu can often subjectively distinguish between the two. We present a case of a person with a history of focal MTL seizures who reports having experienced both seizure-related and non-seizure common déjà vu, though the non-seizure type was more frequent during this person's youth than it is currently. The patient was studied with a virtual tour paradigm that has previously been shown to elicit déjà vu among non-clinical, young adult participants. The patient reported experiencing déjà vu of the common non-seizure type during the virtual tour paradigm, without associated abnormalities of the intracranial EEG. We situate this work in the context of broader ongoing projects examining the subjective correlates of seizures. The importance for memory research of virtual scenes, spatial tasks, virtual reality (VR), and this paradigm for isolating familiarity in the context of recall failure are discussed.

In this work, we constructed a computational model by Cellular Automatas (Cell-DEVS) that can describe the dynamics of how sexually transmitted diseases (STD) spread considering a subclassification for the Infected population (curable STD and non-curable STD). Furthermore, we consider the mathematical epidemiology mathematical the model SIS of W.O. Kermack and A.G. McKendrick that represents the dynamics of the epidemic (STD), therefore we can analyze the behavior of the spread of the epidemic over time.

The present study proposes the use of a segmented SIR-D mathematical model to predict the evolution of epidemiological populations of interest in the COVID-19 pandemic (Susceptible [S], Infected [I], Recovered [R] and dead [D]), information that is often key to guiding decision-making in the fight against epidemics. In order to obtain a better model calibration and a lower prediction error in the short term, we performed the model segmentation in 6 stages of periods of 14 days each. At each stage, the epidemiological that define the system of equations are empirically estimated by linear regression of the epidemiological surveillance data that the Peruvian Ministry of Health collects and reports daily. This strategy showed better model calibration compared to an unsegmented SIR-D model.

El presente estudio trata sobre el desarrollo de un problema matemático (ecuaciones aplicadas a edades) dentro del área del algebra a nivel secundaria. Donde se añadió la concepción de algunas formalidades matemáticas como corresponde al nivel universitario que está dentro de las exigencias a los estudiantes de primer año de formación (Estudios Generales). El problema aplicado a los estudiantes se enfoca en el análisis de la posible respuesta de acuerdo al enunciado de la misma, y generar un debate sobre el modelamiento matemático de un problema real expresado en ecuaciones matemáticas.

Abstract Disaster response actors are facing new challenges, which encompass not only new and ever more complex threats but also the need to collaborate across organizational boundaries and even state borders. Depending on scale, these interactions have to work across governance setups, political and legal conditions, organizational cultures, as well as personal preferences and experiences that vary among actors, organizations, and countries. But which concrete measures are taken by crisis management actors at different scales to bridge these challenges and which of these could serve others as example to address comparable challenges in their contexts? This study made attempts to analyze whether certain solutions across organizations and states exist that facilitate effective interorganizational crisis management in the member states of the European Union (EU). It is based on selected expert interviews with representatives of different types of disaster response organizations (health services, police services, fire services, and other crisis management organizations) from seven EU member states (Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Austria, and Greece).

With the slipping of the insertion node for extreme ultraviolet lithography, demands on resist resolution have increased further stressing sensitivity requirements. A variety of resists, both chemically amplified and not, have been developed meeting resolution needs, but falling short on sensitivity and line-width roughness (LWR). Note that resolution is an absolute mandatory requirement, the true tradeoff that must be considered is between sensitivity and contact hole printing is a crucial application for extreme ultraviolet lithography and is particularly challenged by resist sensitivity due to inherent inefficiencies in darkfield contact printing. Checkerboard strong phase shift masks have the potential to alleviate this problem through a 4× increase in optical efficiency. The feasibility of this method is demonstrated using the SEMATECH-Berkeley Microfield Exposure Tool pseudo phase shift mask configuration and preliminary results are provided on the fabrication of an etched multilayer checkerboard phase shift mask.

Decades of progress in the semiconductor industry has led to lithographically printed dimensions that are small enough that the positions of individual molecules and the stochastic variation in the number of photons have a significant effect on the quality of photoresist patterns. These effects scale badly and will be more important as feature sizes continue to shrink. Self-organizing materials can provide regular patterns of molecules that have the potential to minimize stochastic effects. Some such reported materials are block copolymers, bottle brush polymers and DNA, all of which have been used as part of lithographic patterning. A key challenge for self-organizing materials is defect levels. The energy to rearrange has to be high enough that random defects aren’t created thermally but low enough that rearrangement into preferred domains can occur. All of the methods can generate accurate CDs based on the chemical composition of the material, but they all need some way to control the positions of the feature edges. There are methods for guiding the self-organization, but the final position is the sum of the guide pattern misalignment and the intrinsic alignment error of the self-organizing materials. Thus it can be worse than the positioning of the guide structures. Alignment and defect levels are thus two big challenges for manufacturing introduction of self-organizing materials.

The research paper presents a computational model by Cellular Automata (Cell-DEVS) applied to the transmission of Dengue disease, spread by mosquitoes to a susceptible population. This model will have a multilevel approach to consider exogenous interactions such as temperature. This will allow to be able to visualize the critical points where the mosquito reproduction is much greater, and thus carry out control strategies.

In the present work, the existence of Uniformly Bound Solutions of a SI Mathematical Model with vital dynamics, with logistic growth for the Susceptibles, developed by Delay Differential Equations is constructed, and the behavior of the solutions will be studied (qualitative analysis) for the Infection-Free Point where the necessary conditions for its asymptotic stability will be determined; and furthermore, that the Uniformly Bounded Solution of the Model tends to the steady state of the Infection-Free Point. In addition, it will be simulated computationally (approximate solutions) with initial populations and pidemiological rates of the model. The simulation will complement the qualitative analysis (behavior of solutions) to conclude trends of behaviors of the transmission of the disease over time.

La formación académica de los docentes universitarios ha sido la base de la generación de conocimientos en búsqueda del desarrollo científico mediante el desarrollo de investigaciones entre los profesores y los estudiantes en conjunto. Con lo cual, la formación universitaria debe enfocar y dedicar la interacción entre la visión científica, humanística y social de los estudios universitarios. En los últimos años se ha centrado la perspectiva de realizar una formación universitaria focalizada en la investigación constante que se relacione los estudiantes universitarios para la generación de conocimientos a un nivel científico y académico. Por lo cual, el crecimiento de la calidad educativa se ve vinculada con la generación de conocimientos y proyectos de investigación para incrementar el nivel de la educación superior del país.
