In this paper, the notions symmetric continuity, weak continuity, weak symmetric continuity which wasintroduced in [P.Pongsriiam and T.Thongsiri, Weakly symmetrically continuous function, Chamchuri Journal of Mathematics, vol 8(2016),49-65 ] are generalized by using natural density defined on N. Among the others some basic properties of generalized form of symmetrically continuity is investigate with several useful examples.

In this paper, we generalize Adams-type theorems given in [1,13] (which are the following Theorem A and Theorem B, respectively) to the vanishing generalized weighted Morrey spaces. We prove the Adams-type boundedness of the generalized fractional maximal operator $M_{\rho}$ from the vanishing generalized weighted Morrey spaces $\mathcal{\mathcal{VM}}_{p,\varphi^{\frac{1}{p}}}(\mathbb{R}^n, w)$ to another one $\mathcal{\mathcal{VM}}_{q,\varphi^{\frac{1}{q}}}(\mathbb{R}^n, w)$ with $w \in A_{p,q}$ for $1$

Background/aim Operative bleeding is one of the major determinants of outcome in liver surgery. This study aimed to describe the impact of intraoperative blood loss on the postoperative course of liver resection (LR). Materials and methods The data of 257 patients who were treated with LR between January 2007 and October 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. LRs were performed via intermittent portal triad clamping (PTC) under low central venous pressure. Results LRs were performed for 67.7% of patients with a malignant disease and 32.3% of patients with a benign disease. Major LR was performed in 89 patients (34.6%). The mean PTC period was 20.32 min (±13.7). The median intraoperative bleeding amount was 200 mL (5–3500 mL), the 30-day mortality rate was 4.3%, and the morbidity rate was 31.9%. The hospital stay (p = 0.002), morbidity (p = 0.009), and 30-day mortality (p = 0.041) of patients with a bleeding amount of more than 500 mL significantly increased. Conclusion Surgeons should consider the adverse effects of intraoperative bleeding during liver resection on patients’ outcome. Favorable outcomes would be obtained with diligent postoperative care.

This study aimed to investigate clinical characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma and the outcome of our aggressive treatment policy which follows the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) guidance. In this study, we retrospectively analyzed data of 102 patients who were treated for hepatocellular carcinoma between January 2007 and October 2016. Male predominance (81.4%) and a median age of 61 years were observed. Cirrhosis was evident in 88.2 per cent of patients. Viral hepatitis (77.5%) was the most common underlying etiology. The majority of our patients (71.6%) were in BCLC B and C stages. Liver resection was performed in 53.4 per cent of patients in those stages. Transarterial chemoembolization was the leading interventional treatment. Overall survival rates at three and five years were 75 per cent and 75 per cent in BCLC 0, 69 per cent and 58 per cent in BCLC A, 50 per cent and 41 per cent in BCLC B, and 11 per cent and 11 per cent in BCLC C, respectively. The BCLC treatment algorithm should consider the role of liver resection also for intermediate stages.

In this paper, we find the condition on a function ω and a weight v which ensures the equivalency of norms of the Riesz potential and the fractional maximal function in generalized weighted Morrey spaces ℳ p , ω ⁢ ( ℝ n , v ) {{\mathcal{M}}_{p,\omega}({\mathbb{R}}^{n},v)} and generalized weighted central Morrey spaces ℳ ˙ p , ω ⁢ ( ℝ n , v ) {\dot{\mathcal{M}}_{p,\omega}({\mathbb{R}}^{n},v)} , when v belongs to the Muckenhoupt A ∞ {A_{\infty}} -class.

Objectives The effects of L-theanine on hepatic microcirculation during hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury have not yet been investigated. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of L-theanine on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Materials and methods Thirty-two male Sprague Dawley rats weighing 250 to 300 g were used. Rats were divided into 4 groups: sham + saline, sham + L-theanine, hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury + saline, and hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury + L-theanine. Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats was induced by 60 minutes of 70% ischemia and 4 hours of reperfusion. The extent of hepatic cell injury, functional capillary density, hepatic functions, and changes in some enzyme markers in hepatic tissue were investigated in the 4 groups. Results The induction of hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury resulted in significant increases in hepatic necrosis; serum activity of alanine aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, gamma-glutamyltransferase, and tumor necrosis factor alpha; tissue activity of inducible nitric oxide synthase, myeloperoxidase, and malondialdehyde, and oxide glutathione; and H score for hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha in the liver. In the liver, there were significant reductions in reduced glutathione, ratio of reduced glutathione-to-oxide glutathione, and functional capillary density. The use of L-theanine improved these changes. Conclusions L-theanine demonstrated protective effects on hepatic injury after ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. However, new studies are needed to confirm the preventive or reducing effects of L-theanine on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury.

In this paper, we give the definition of local variable Morrey–Lorentz spaces (Formula presented.) which are a new class of functions. Also, we prove the boundedness of the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator M and Calderón–Zygmund operators T on these spaces. Finally, we apply these results to the Bochner–Riesz operator (Formula presented.), identity approximation (Formula presented.) and the Marcinkiewicz operator (Formula presented.) on the spaces (Formula presented.). © 2021 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

In this paper, we prove the Spanne-type boundedness of the generalized Riesz potential operator I? on the generalized weighted local Morrey spaces with wq ? We also prove the Adams-type boundedness of the operator I? on the generalized weighted Morrey spaces with w ? Ap,q for 1 < p < q < ? and also including its the weak estimates with w ? The aim of this paper is to obtain boundedness conditions for the maximal function Mf and to prove the necessary and sufficient conditions for the fractional maximal oparator M-alpha in the Lorentz-Morrey spaces L-p,L-q;lambda(R-n) which are a new class of functions. We get our main results by using the obtained sharp rearrangement estimates. The obtained results are applied to the boundedness of particular operators such as the Bochner-Riesz operator B-gamma(delta) and the Schrodinger-type operators V-gamma(-Delta+ V)(-beta) is and V-gamma del(-Delta + V)(-beta) in the Lorentz-Morrey spaces L-p,L-q;lambda(R-n), where the nonnegative potential V belongs to the reverse Holder class B-infinity(R-n).

Longitudinal analysis of a disease is an important issue to understand its progression and design prognosis and early diagnostic tools. From the longitudinal images where data is collected from multiple time points, both the spatial structural information and the longitudinal variations are captured. The temporal dynamics are more informative than static observations of the symptoms, particularly for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, whose progression spans over the years with early subtle changes. In this paper, we propose a new generative framework to predict the lesion progression over time. Our method first encodes images into the structural and longitudinal state vectors, where interpolation or extrapolation of feature vectors in the time axis can be performed for the manipulation of these feature vectors. These processed feature vectors can be decoded into image space to predict the image at the time point which we are interested in. During the training, we force the model to encode longitudinal changes into longitudinal state features and capture the structural information in a separate vector. Moreover, we introduce a personalized memory for the online update scheme, which adapts the model to the target subject, which helps the model preserve fine details of brain image structures in each subject. Experimental results on the public longitudinal brain magnetic resonance imaging dataset show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
