Introduction Disease-causing deletions/amplifications may include a single gene, several exons or single/part of exon, contributing to detection of novel pathogenic genes. The localization of single-gene deletion/amplification within the gene can affect its clinical manifestation. Objectives Improvement of diagnosis of intellectual disability. Methods aCGH with 60K Agilent microarrays, qPCR. Results Among 1099 patients with intellectual disability potentially pathogenic single-gene deletions/amplifications were detected in 51 individuals (5%). qPCR was used to verify aberrations in 21 patients (41%). Ten mutations were of maternal origin, four - paternal, two - de novo, another two were confirmed without analysis of parents, and three could not be confirmed. Single-gene aberrations involving the AGBL4 (exon 2), ASMT (exon 9), CYP2C18 (whole gene), DDX10 (promoter, exons 1-13), GYPA (whole gene), LIG4 (exon 1), LSAMP (intron 1), PSD3 (promoter, exons 1-11), SNTB1 (intron 1), SPOCK3 (exons 6-12), STAG2 (exons 7-34), SYT10 (promoter, exons 1-2), TCAF2 (exon 8), TMPRSS15 (promoter, exons 1-12), and ZDHHC7 (promoter, exons 1-4) genes were described by us for the first time. Deletion or amplification of several exons within a gene can affect transcription as point mutation does, while the copy number change of a whole gene can lead to an abnormal amount of the protein. Conclusions Fifteen novel genes potentially responsible for mental health were identified. In most of them aberrations were partial deletions/duplications. Most of abnormalities were inherited from healthy parents indicating the possible presence of a point mutation on the second allele or some modifying factors. Introduction About 66% of chromosomal microdeletions and microduplications associated with pathological conditions are inherited [Smajlagić D. et al., 2021]. The mechanisms of incomplete penetrance and variable expressivity of CNV are not fully understood. The presence of concomitant CNVs in the genome of healthy parents may have a modifying effect. Objectives Identification of additional CNVs in healthy carriers with 7q31.1 microdeletions. Methods CNVs were revealed by Agilent Technologies 60K microarray and confirmed by qPCR. Results We examined 3 families with inherited 7q31.1 microdeletions affecting only the IMMP2L gene, which is associated with intellectual disability, developmental delay and autism spectrum disorders. Family 1: Proband has intellectual disability, developmental delay, sensorimotor alalia. Microdeletion was inherited from the father, and a healthy sibling is also a carrier of rearrangement. In sibs, additional CNVs were identified: arr[hg19]: 4q31.21(144722583_144939143)×3; 9p12p11.2(43588066_43836428)×3; 16p11.2(32066967_33773163)×1; and 17q21.31(44199517_44577208)×3. Family 2: Proband suffers from development delay, speech disorder and autism. Microdeletion was of paternal origin. The father additionally demonstrated microduplication 16p11.2p11.1(33967926-35204414)×3. Family 3: Proband was diagnosed with development delay and cerebral palsy. The mother is a carrier of a similar 7q31.1 microdeletion; two concomitant CNVs were identified in her karyotype: 9p13.1(39176840_40614884)×3; and 16p11.2p11.1(32833891_35204414)×3. Thus, healthy parents in 3 families have CNV in a common region 16p11.2, which contains the TP53TG3 gene. It is important that TP53TG3 expression is associated with epistatic CNV-CNV interactions [Sun, Kardia 2010]. Conclusions Multiple CNVs in apparently healthy carriers of IMMP2L microdeltions may suppress disease phenotype due to the epistatic CNV-CNV interaction. ABSTRACT Background Chromosome 3q29 duplication syndrome is a rare chromosomal disorder with a frequency of 1:5000 in patients with a neurodevelopmental phenotype. The syndrome is characterized by phenotypic polymorphism and reduced penetrance. Methods Patients were investigated by performing a cytogenetic analysis of GTG‐banded metaphases, aCGH with the SurePrint G3 Human CGH Microarray 8×60K, qPCR, FISH, and WES. Results Here, we report five new patients with atypical duplications overlapping with the 3q29 duplication syndrome region and no other genetic findings. In two patients, duplications were found in the single BDH1 gene, a candidate gene for the 3q29 duplication phenotype. For the first time, we delineated and described the smallest minimal critical region, including the single BDH1 gene; in our patients, this region was associated with ASD, heart defects, biliary tract dysfunction, and obesity. The frequencies of the pathological phenotypes in duplication carriers reported in the literature were calculated and compared with those in patients with 3q29 deletions. Most of the phenotypes were observed in both groups but were significantly less common among individuals with 3q29 duplications. Mirrored phenotypes in patients with duplications and deletions included overweight and weight deficit. Schizophrenia, generalized anxiety disorder, and recurrent ear infections were unique phenotypes of patients carrying deletions. Conclusion Chromosome 3q29 duplication syndrome is characterized by a complex genetic architecture and clinical polymorphism.

The purpose of this article is to consider the prospects for the integration of blockchain and artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as AI) as an innovative approach to modernisation of various economic sectors. The authors analyse the possibilities of using this technological merger to optimise business processes, increase transparency and reduce transaction costs in different sectors, including finance, healthcare, transport, energy, etc. Particular attention is paid to the benefits of synergy between AI and distributed ledger technology, which allows for more efficient and sustainable systems of managing data and assets. The research object in this article is the process of integrating blockchain and AI. The subject of the study is the effectiveness of modernisation of various economic sectors through the combination of these technologies. The research method is an analytical review of scientific publications and successful implemented projects. The results of the current article lie in the analysis of the advantages of integrating blockchain and AI as well as forecasting further prospects for the development of this area. The practical significance of the work consists in the fact that the obtained results can be used to design strategies and plans for the implementation of this technology integration into domestic business.

The purpose of the research is to reveal the aspect of the systematic nature of Alfred Rosenberg’s views and the ideological foundations of the Nazi state in their interconnection based on his work Der Mythus des 20. Jahrhunderts: Eine Wertung der seelisch geistigen Gestaltenkдmpfe unserer Zeit. The scientific novelty is caused by the fact that the topic of systematicity in his work Der Mythus ideology has not yet been sufficiently studied by historians. At the same time, since Rosenberg’s work Der Mythus provides a justification of the ideology of National Socialism and racial theory in the context of the “myth of Nordic blood” and its rights to world domination, and examines the ideological principles of building the future German state, historical research on Nazism as a phenomenon that has its own conditions of emergence and specifics of development in all spheres of society, remains a priority area of history studies today. The research methodology is based on general scientific principles and methods of scientific research and the historical and source analysis of Rosenberg’s book Der Mythus des 20. Jahr hunderts. Conclusions. Alfred Rosenberg perceived the ideology of the Der Mythus des 20. Jahrhunderts as a symbiosis of ideas that create a new quality and unity of ideology, which he associated with an intangible and unknowable “integrity factor”. From his point of view, this new ideology would guarantee the construction of a new Germany and, in the future, a new world order, which would lead to the need for a revolution ary revision of the foundations of the German state as a male military alliance. In his worldview, Rosenberg promoted the advantages of Nordic blood, its mystical soul and power, substantiated Germany’s historical rights to dominate the world with an eye to the future war for living space, and the construction of a new Third Reich on a new legal basis. At the same time, Rosenberg recognized five components necessary for the inner world of a person under the new Nazi ideology, namely political religion, morality, art, science, and philosophy, united by the idea of the total nature of National Socialism.

The article presents an analysis of the results of experimental studies of the effect of different types of a super absorbent polymer additive on the strength of different types of concrete. The study is aimed at the effectiveness of a new type of super absorbent additive in concrete structures. In the course of full-scale experiments, it was possible to identify the optimum dosage of SAP for fine-grained and heavy concretes. In addition, the results showed that the strength of concrete remains unchanged if the dosage of super absorbent polymer additive (SAP) is 0.5% of the weight of cement or less. The possibility of modern intelligent technologies (artificial neural networks) to predict the properties of concrete mixture and hardened concrete at given values of input parameters (SAP dosage and W/C), influence on concrete characteristics (slump of the cone, bending strength, compressive strength) has also been shown.

Background. Indole and polyamines are involved in the regulation of physiological processes in bacteria associated with adaptation to stress, biofilm formation, antibiotic tolerance, and bacterial persistence. However, the molecular targets and mechanisms of action of these metabolites are still poorly understood. In this work, we studied the effect of polyamines and indole on the expression of such genes as: rpoS, relA, and spoT, encoding regulators of the general stress responses and starvation; hns and stpA, encoding global regulators of gene expression; rmf, yqjD, hpf, raiA, rsfS, sra, ettA, encoding ribosome hibernation factors.The aim. To study the regulatory effects of polyamines and indole on the expression of these genes, which are responsible for the adaptation of Escherichia coli to stress.Materials and methods. We used strains of E. coli in this study. The amount of polyamines was studied by thin layer chromatography. The indole concentration was determined by high performance liquid chromatography. Gene expression was studied using real-time RT-PCR.Results. The addition of polyamines putrescine, cadaverine and spermidine to the medium stimulated the expression of all the studied genes. The maximal stimulation was observed at the stationary phase mostly. Putrescine and spermidine had the most significant effect. At 24 h of cultivation, an equimolar conversion of exogenous tryptophan into indole was showed. At this time, the expression of two genes – rmf and raiA – increased.Conclusions. We have shown that polyamines upregulate the expression of all the studied genes at the transcriptional level. The stimulating effect is specific for the phase of the batch culture and the type of polyamine. Indole has a positive effect on the expression of the rmf and raiA genes.

Signaling molecules such as indole (product of tryptophan catabolism) and (p)ppGpp (stringent response regulator) are involved in regulation of physiological processes in bacterial cells aimed to adapt to antibiotics and stresses. However, question of existence of relationship between the stringent response and indole signaling requires more detailed investigation.The aim. To study effect of stringent response regulator (p)ppGpp on indole production in Escherichia coli depending on glucose content.Materials and methods. In this work, we studied the dynamics of indole accumulation in batch cultures of parent E. coli BW25141 ((p)ppGpp+ strain) and deletion mutant BW25141∆relA∆spoT ((p)ppGpp0 strain) in glucose-mineral tryptophan-free M9 medium, as well as with 2 mM tryptophan addition. In order to study effect of starvation stress on bacterial cell ability to synthesize indole, we used a model of growth limitation by carbon substrate at two glucose concentrations, 0.1 % and 0.4 %.Results. We have shown here that (p)ppGpp absence in E. coli cells reduces their ability to produce indole in the tryptophan-free medium and significantly slows down the rate of its accumulation in the tryptophan-containing one. Low glucose concentration (0.1 %) leads to decrease in indole production by (p)ppGpp+ cells in the tryptophan-free medium. The presence of indole synthesis precursor, tryptophan, in growth medium, on the contrary, increases the production of indole at lower glucose concentration in both (p)ppGpp+ and (p)ppGpp0 strains demonstrating direct dependence of delay time for onset of indole formation on glucose content, which is more pronounced in the culture of deletion mutant unable of synthesizing (p) ppGpp. The data obtained can be interpreted as result of complex regulatory effect of catabolic repression and the stringent response caused by alarmone (p)ppGpp action on expression level of tnaCAB operon responsible for indole biosynthesis.

This paper presents a review of the current status and development trends of the non-fungible tokens’ technology (NFT), which are digital rights to unique objects recorded in the blockchain. The object of the study is the non-interchangeable token technology. The subject of the study is the fields of practical application of NFT. The method is an analytical review of scientific publications. The current state and socio-cultural sources of the NFT market related to works of art and media objects are analysed. The technological and legal problems preventing the wide spread of NFT in the business environment are identified. The prospects for the use of non-fungible tokens in the field of protection and commercialization of patent law objects are considered.

The purpose of the publication is to analyze the research methodology of a complex of documentary sources on the ideology of Nazism, created as a result of the activities of a number of structures in the system of state and party management in the Third Reich, which operated under the leadership of Alfred Rosenberg in 1934-1945 within the structure of the NSDAP and known as Rosenberg’s office. The research methodologyis based on the theoretical and practical principles of applying the methodology of historical research in the field of source studies, archival studies, document studies, and also relies on general scientific principles and methods of research. The novelty of the research is in defining a complex of general scientific methods regarding the subject of research, which the author used in her studies of documentary complexes of sources on Nazi ideology produced by Rosenberg’s office in 1934-1945. Conclusions. As a result of the activities of Rosenberg’s office, primarily during Rosenberg’ sterm as the Commissioner of the Fьhrer for the Supervision of the Entire Intellectual and Ideological Schooling and Training of the NSDAP, a set of documents was formed, which is a source for studying the role of these services in the formation of the ideology of National Socialism and their influence on the politics of the Third Reich. During the study of the formation of the documentary system of these services and its functioning as a source base, it was established that the use of general scientific methods, principles and approaches is based not only on the principles of historicism and objectivity, butalso on a systemic approach, based on the method of structural-functional analysis.The structure of this documentary system was studied on the basis of the analysis of the documents of Rosenberg’s office as its elements, their typological classification. Their functional purpose and connections were also examined and it was determined that problem and thematic, comparative, logical, chronological methods and the method of periodization should be applied to perform the study.

The purpose of the research is to characterize the composition and content of the documents of the Commissioner of the Fuehrer for the Supervision of the Entire Intellectual and Ideological Schooling and Training of the NSDAP (here in after - the Rosenberg Office) to determine the place of these documents in the source base of the study of the history of the Third Reich, to analyze their information potential as sources on the history of national socialist ideology and occupation policy. The research methodologyis based on scientific principles of historicism, objectivity, and systematicity, represented by historical-comparative and historical-archival methods, as well as methods of source analysis. The scientific novelty. The documents of the Rosenberg Office as a complete documentary complex have not yet been the subject of scientific research, although some historians have used these documents as sources for the history of National Socialism, A. Rosenberg’s biographical portrait, but they were not considered as sources for the ideological component of the Nazi occupation policy. Conclusions. A brief analysis of the documents of the Rosenberg Office allows us to conclude that these documents are valuable sources for studying the history of the development of the National Socialism ideology and itsinfluence through the NSDAP system. Among them, there are plans, orders, instructions, reflecting objectives and structure of the Rosenberg Office, functionsof its departments, ideological materialson anti-Semitism, Bolshevism, religion, as well as reference materialson National Socialist figures in the field of culture. A special place amongthe documents of the Service is held by materials covering its participation in the ideological training of Wehrmacht officers, as well as biographical sources documents on the activities of the staff of the Rosenberg Office. These documents also reveal its ties with a wide range of ot her Nazi agencies that participated in the process of creating Nazi propaganda.

The purpose of the publication is to analyze the documents of the NSDAP Office of Foreign Affairs (German: AuЯenpolitisches Amt der NSDAP, hereinafter - APA) (1933-1942) as sources of the ideology of Nazi foreign policy, to find out the directions of activity of the APA in the spread of National Socialist ideology and its contribution to the formation of militaristic attitudes in the Third Reich and the strategy of the future war. The research methodology is based on general scientific principles and methods of scientific research, in particular, on the principles of historicism and objectivity, methods of structural-functional and comparative analysis and synthesis, problem-thematic, chronological methods, as well as methods of source studies and document studies. The novelty of the research is in determining the entire documentary composition of the APA archive, clarifying the directions of its activities, highlighting its contribution to the formation of the Nazi foreign policy of the Third Reich, which, among other things, contained the prospects of developing a new “living space”. Conclusions. Creation of a positive image of National Socialism, the organization of the pro-Nazi movement, the search for allies on the international arena, among other things with the aim of creating an “anti-Bolshevik block” of European states, the development of trade relations with various countries for the food and military equipment, others should be mentioned among the tasks of the APA in European countries in 1933-1939. Collection of information about the internal situation in various countries was an important part, and personal contacts, support of pro-Nazi leaders, publishing houses, ideological training of German diplomats, distribution of NSDAP publications, organization of cultural events, support of the emigrant movement were used. At the end of the 1930 s, the formation of the strategy of Germany’s foreign policy and economic activity, and the development of the concept of the “new European order”, became of great importance. The activities of the APA actually ceased at the beginning of 1943. Most of its documents are kept in the Federal Archives of Germany, in the fond NS 43 (“AuЯenpolitisches Amt der NSDAP”), which includes 480 archival files, among which analytical and informational materials occupy a leading place. APA documents are also among the materials of the NS 8 fond (“Kanzlei Rosenberg”). Correspondence is another important part of the documents of the APA archive.

Создание и развитие правил и классификаций для информационных моделей определяют процесс создания моделей для диагностики строительных объектов. В статье описан опыт построения информационных моделей истори­ческих зданий с применением классификаторов строительной информации. Сформулированы задачи, которые могут быть применимы к информационным моделям архитектурного на­следия. Отмечено, что множество элементов, которые исполь­зуются при моделировании исторических зданий, не имеют общепринятого кодирования. Стандартизация параметров, классификаторов, и библиотек элементов - путь информати­зации и оптимизации процесса построения модели. Создание каталогов элементов и общепринятых классификаций может ускорить процессы оптимизации информационного модели­рования существующих зданий.

The presence of pain syndrome and an increase in functional insufficiency of the joints are the most frequent reasons for patients seeking medical help. Currently, given the growing prevalence of osteoarthritis, a more active multimodal approach to patient management is needed, taking into account their individual characteristics and needs. The main goals of osteoarthritis therapy are: pain relief; maintaining or improving joint function; preventing the build-up of functional impairment, improving health-related quality of life, and reducing/preventing structural progression of the disease. The article presents data on one of the effective and safe methods of treating osteoarthritis of the knee and hip joints – intra-articular administration of hyaluronic acid, which provides a significant reduction in pain, improvement of joint function; helps to reduce the need for NSAIDs and slow the progression of the disease. The obtained research results indicate a good and long-term symptomatic effect of the drug, a high safety profile and the possibility of its use in wide clinical practice.

Experimental studies of the resistance of cement stone and concrete to the influence of mold fungi have been carried out. The effectiveness of the use of nanomodified calcium carbonate and the PHMG biocide as bactericidal additives for concrete has been investigated. The influence of Glenium and C-3 plasticizers on the effectiveness of the action of bactericidal additives has been investigated. Both investigated biocidal additives showed a fungicidal effect on concrete specimens. The use of nanomodified calcium carbonate as a bactericidal additive for concrete is effective as the use of PHMG biocide. The introduction of this bactericidal additives does not reduce the strength of the hardened concrete.

Внедрение интеллектуальных технологий в экспертную деятельность инженера-строителя мотивировано необходи­мостью передачи знаний опытных экспертов специалистам разной квалификации для расширения и укрепления их профессиональных возможностей. Экспертные системы (ЭС), имитирующие логику рассуждений опытного человека-эксперта, включающие знания, накопленные и описанные в на­учной, методической литературе и нормативных документах, расширяют профессиональные возможности специалистов и позволяют принимать эффективные решения о категории технического состояния строительных объектов. В данной статье представлены пользовательский интерфейс разра­ботанной ЭС для практической диагностики строительных конструкций и пример практической реализации на реальном промышленном предприятии. Реализована возможность выявлять и контролировать автоматизированным способом причинно-следственную связь между признаками и техни­ческим состоянием конструкций, обеспечивающая поддержу решения инженера-обследователя в вопросе определения категории технического состояния конструкций.

Abstract Human ring chromosomes are often unstable during mitosis, and daughter cells can be partially or completely aneuploid. We studied the mitotic stability of four ring chromosomes, 8, 13, 18, and 22, in long-term cultures of skin fibroblasts and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) by GTG karyotyping and aCGH. Ring chromosome loss and secondary aberrations were observed in all fibroblast cultures except for r(18). We found monosomy, fragmentation, and translocation of indexed chromosomes. In iPSCs, aCGH revealed striking differences in mitotic stability both between iPSC lines with different rings and, in some cases, between cell lines with the same ring chromosome. We registered the spontaneous rescue of karyotype 46,XY,r(8) to 46,XY in all six iPSC lines through ring chromosome loss and intact homologue duplication with isoUPD(8)pat occurrence, as proven by SNP genotype distribution analysis. In iPSCs with other ring chromosomes, karyotype correction was not observed. Our results suggest that spontaneous correction of the karyotype with ring chromosomes in iPSCs is not universal and that pluripotency is compatible with a wide range of derivative karyotypes. We conclude that marked variability in the frequency of secondary rearrangements exists in both fibroblast and iPSC cultures, expanding the clinical significance of the constitutional ring chromosome.

Purpose. The main purpose of this documentary publication is to introduce to a scientific community a previously unknown World War II document with the topic of the library policy in the occupied territory of the Union Of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and to analyze it as a historical source that can supplement already known information and add new knowledge on the role of libraries in a Nazi cultural policy in Ukraine during the Second World War, Nazi plans for book collections, personnel policy, and the importance of libraries for Nazi propaganda. Methodology. The methodology of research is comprised of the historical-archival and historical-comparative research methods, as well as methods of source analysis. Document’s authorship, time, purpose, circumstances of its creation, its informational potential, and its place in an archival complex of similar documents of German occupation services involved in the determination of the fate of libraries, and its place in the documentary collections created by Nazi structures in the occupied territory of the USSR, as well as the potential of using this document in further historical research makes it possible to consider the document a historical resource. Scientific novelty of the research. The object of this study is the document "On the importance of libraries" created by the employee of the Sonderstab Bibliothekswesen (Special Staff “Library Science”) by the Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (the Reichsleiter Rosenberg Taskforce or ERR) Fritz-Joachim Starke in occupied Ukraine in May 1942, which hadn’t been introduced to historians yet. But unlike other documents, this document covered not the state of libraries and the fate of their collections, but the Nazi vision of local libraries as part of the occupation policy. Conclusion. The analysis of this document in an archival complex of similar documents for the topic of the Nazi library policy in the occupied territory of the USSR shows us that German employees perceived local libraries not only as a place of the concentration of printed materials needed for public administration, or as a place of storage of valuable collections, but as institutions that would support the German authorities. At the same time, the document reflects the perception of libraries by the occupiers as an additional resource, especially in the development of the economic and scientific potential of the occupied territories, for example, in the organization of local production and training of local employees.

The article is devoted to the development of a conceptual model patent of the patent analytics module integrated into the SAP corporate information system. It has been shown that patent research plays an important role in the strategic development of an enterprise based on the study of market trends. It has been proven that since the future strategy of the company depends on such a large dataset and the person is not able to assess the situation efficiently and consider a broad introduction, reengineering of the process of data collection and analysis is required, on which the fate of the enterprise depends. The primary purpose of this module is to provide automation of this kind of analysis and planning of strategic development of the enterprise. Moreover, the information collected by the system will help to correctly allocate funds for research and development programs.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) can lead to the development of late complications. In addition to the traditional late complications, a high prevalence of damage to the musculoskeletal system in diabetes was noted. The most appropriate term that reflects the defeat of the musculoskeletal system in diabetes is limited joints mobility syndrome (LJM). Damage to the hands in the presence of open painless stiffness of the joints, fixed flexion contractures, impaired fine motor skills of the hands and grip forces. Subsequently, it became clear that, over time, the restriction of joint mobility develops not only in the small joints of the hands, but also in other large and small joints of the limbs. Traditionally, LJM syndrome pays low attention on the part of practitioners in comparison with other micro- and macrovascular complications of diabetes, even though LJM can significantly impair functional activity, self-care, and impair the quality of life. It is assumed that damage to the periarticular tissues and joints in DM is caused by the accumulation of end glycation products. A decisive place in the diagnosis of LJM is the clinical examination. In the presence of LJM syndrome, the osteoarticular structures of the feet can be affected, timely diagnosis can lead to the development of diabetic foot syndrome.

Mean age was 60.38.7 years, mean BMI 29.24.7 kg/m2, disease duration 6 (310) years. Grade II OA was documented in 68.4% of patients, Grade III in 31.6%. The study lasted for 6 months. Efficacy and safety evaluations were made based on VAS pain assessment, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) [WOMAC pain (0500), WOMAC function (01700), WOMAC stiffness (0200)], VAS patients health status, EQ-5D-based assessment of patients quality of life, global physicians and patients efficacy assessment, and daily NSAIDs requirements. Results. Obtained results demonstrate statistically significant VAS pain reduction during walking already in 1 week after intra-articular injection of the combination [respectively, 62 (5572) and 41 (3251) mm, р0.0001]. Moreover, pain continued to subside during all 3 months of follow up [in 1 month 28 (2042), in 3 month 22 (1437) mm]. A significant pan reduction achieved at Mo 3 persisted until Mo 6 20 (1442) mm, without documented pain increase. Similar trends were observed with total WOMAC score [1125 (8991540) at baseline, and 552 (309837) mm by the end of the study, p0.0001], and all WOMAC sub-scores [268 (189312) baseline WOMAC pain, 91 (48171) mm by the end of the study p0.0001; stiffness 101 (59130) and 40 (2061) mm, p0.0001; function 802 (6471095) and 402 (191638) mm, p0.0001, respectively]. Median time to the onset of therapeutic effect was 7 (518) days. Statistically significant improvement of patients quality of life by EQ-5D and general health status was observed during all follow up period [respectively, 0.52 (-0.020.59) and 0.69 (0.590.80), р0.0001; 48 (3060) and 72 (6080) mm, р0.0001]. One injection of the drug resulted in dose reduction or discontinuation of NSAIDs therapy: at baseline 76 patients (96.2%) were taking NSAIDs, in one week 31 (39.2%) patients discontinued NSAIDs, in 1 month 72.2%, in 3 months 73.4%, and by the end of the study at Mo 6 54.4% were not taking NSAIDs. These data were consistent with physicians and patients global assessment of the efficacy of treatment, who stated significant improvement and improvement in the majority of cases, with only few no effect or worsening cases documented in analyzed population. Adverse events, such as worsening of pain and/or swelling of the joint, were documented in 8 patients (10.1%); they resolved spontaneously or following NSAIDs intake. Conclusion. These results suggest that intra-articular injections of hyaluronic acid plus chondroitin sulfate in patients with knee OA are efficient and safe. A single injection of the drug resulted in statistically significant reduction of pain and stiffness, reduction in NSAIDs intake, as well as improvement in patients quality of life and function.

Human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line, ICGi040-A, was obtained from skin fibroblasts derived from a male patient with mosaic ring small supernumerary marker chromosome 4 (sSMS(4)) and infertility. ICGi040-A cells have karyotype 47,XY,+r(4) in 97% of cells and express a set of pluripotent markers, as well as are able to differentiate in vitro into derivatives of all three embryonic germ layers.

The results of the development of an effective intelligent system for technical diagnostics of reinforced concrete structures are presented. The category of technical condition is the main criterion in deciding on the degree of accident or the need to take measures to bring it to further safe operation of a building construction. For the purposes of this study, an expert system was developed based on the mathematical apparatus of the theory of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic, which can take into account the scatter of individual opinions of experts, significantly reduce the examination time and improve the quality of the diagnostics. A hierarchical structure of the organization of expert knowledge is proposed for assessing the technical condition of building structures taking into account the universality of information and the possibility of its expansion based on ontological analysis. Moreover, a technique was developed for formalizing expert information using membership functions for input and output control parameters. To implement a fuzzy logical inference, an algorithm adapted to the given problem is developed. A computer program has been developed that implements the method of identification of the category of technical condition of building structures on the basis of fuzzy knowledge bases. The results of using this program in a survey of a real industrial building are given. The results of the technical state evaluation examined structure, obtained using the expert system, are confirmed by expert opinions of specialists who did not participate in the creation of the program and have extensive experience in examining the building structures. The present work is motivated by a need to transfer knowledge from the technical books and experienced experts in the domain field of diagnostics of building structures to make that knowledge and expertise available to practicing engineers.

The article analyzes the facts of the collecting the data on the development of the Soviet industry in Ukrainian industrial areas by the German researchers in Ukraine during the World War II and its further processing. The primary focus of this economical and statistical researching was on evolution of the Soviet industry since the early 1920 s and its functioning in Ukraine during the Nazi occupation. The main purpose was the investigation of the Soviet experience of industrialization, the role and the significance of the industrial areas created around the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk. The forms of the collecting of the information about economics and industry of Ukraine and its main results are characterized: review of the special literature and bibliographies in local libraries in occupied Ukraine, and questionnaire studies for the purpose of gathering information from directors of enterprises and workers. It has been established that the significant contribution to these studies of the Ukrainian industrial areas during the World War II has been made by German economist Walter Thoms, the dean of the Faculty for public policy and economics at the Heidelberg University in Germany (1939-1945). Problems of the Soviet enterprises functioning, social welfare of the Soviet industry workers and their professional education were a major focus of his academic interest. W. Thoms prepared two questionnaires for the survey in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk. The survey findings were to be processed at the University of Heidelberg after the war. Directions for future research have been set, first of all the activities of W. Thoms during World War II in the occupied territories, as well as the search for materials on economic statistics that have been brought out of Ukraine during World War II.

The purpose of the research is to characterize the documents of the Main Office for Science (German: Haupamt Wissenschaft) by the Commissioner of the Fuehrer for the Supervision of the Entire Intellectual and Ideo-logical Schooling and Training of the NSDAP (German: Beauftragter des Fьhrers fьr die Ьberwachung der gesamten geistigen und weltanschaulichen Schulung und Erziehung der NSDAP, and related materials of A. Rosenberg’s other structures as the sources on the ideological component of the Third Reich’s struggle against Bolshevism and their significance for information or ideological component of the Nazi occupation policy in the occupied territo-ries of Eastern Europe. The research methodology consists of historical-archival, historical-comparative research methods, source analysis methods. The scientific novelty is determined by the fact that the materials of the Rosenberg Office and the documents of the Main Office for Science, in particular, have not yet been the subject of a separate comprehensive scientific archival and source review for their possible use as the historical sources on the ideological component of Nazi policy, vision of connection between science and ideology, participation of the Main Office for Science in the so-called «ideological struggle» against Bolshevism, collection of scientific informa-tion in the occupied territories of Eastern Europe, in particular, the USSR. Although these documents are familiar to German researchers, the latter used them as the sources to determine the Rosenberg Office›s place in the NSDAP system and its significance for domestic party policy in the Third Reich. Conclusions. The analysis of the documents from the Main Office for Science of the Rosenberg Office allows us to conclude that a number of his documents for 1942-1945, as well as related documents of the Special Staff Science (German: Sonderstab Wissenschaft), which represented the interests of the department at the Special Command Force of Reichsleiter Alfred Rosenberg orReichsleiter Rosenberg Taskforce (German: Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg), contain the interesting and valuable information not only on the connection between National Socialist ideology and science but also on the collection and processing of various information about the state of science in the Soviet Union, especially the materials of scientific content, consolidated data about state of Soviet scientific institutions during the Nazi occupation, etc. This information has so far been little known or not introduced into scientific circulation at all, but it may be useful to researchers of the history of World War II.

The article analyzes official newsletter “Mitteilungsblatt” that has been published by the Commissioner of the Fuehrer for the Supervision of the Entire Intellectual and Ideological Schooling and Training of the NSDAP (aka Dienststelle Rosenberg) as a source for supporting an ideology as a component of the Nazi policy in the occupied European countries, of the Nazi propaganda and political education. The main data of the Mitteilungsblatt is characterized: its publication frequency, structure, mission, target audience, its place amongst print publications that were published by the Dienststelle Rosenberg, as well as its completeness and current storage location. It has been established that the official publications of the Dienststelle Rosenberg have not been considered until this point by researchers as sources on the history of National Socialism and political education in the Third Reich. Subject matters of the Mitteilungsblatt have been described and it has been found that a prevalent part of its papers deals with the Soviet Union, namely communist ideology and propaganda and their effect on Soviet people, communist morality, economic policy (collectivization and industrialization), militarization propaganda and preparations for a war long before the World War II began. It has been established that the Mitteilungsblatt was intended for use by the ideological education and political training of the Nazi party members, military officers, public servants of the German occupation authorities.

Aim. To find the relationship between bone mineral density (BMD) and risk of knee OA progression in a 5-year prospective study. Materials and methods. 110 females with knee OA were examined twice with 5-year interval. Examination included filling questionnaires, VAS pain assessment, plain knee radiography and axial skeleton densitometry. I stage knee OA was established in 33 (30%) patients, II stage - in 46 (41.8%), III stage - in 26 (23.6%), and IV - in 5 (4.5%). Normal lumbar vertebrae densitometry BMD values were found in 45 patients (40.9%), osteopenia - corresponding BMD values - in 33 (30.0%), and osteoporosis - in 32 (29.1%). Normal femoral neck BMD values were identified in 60 (54.5%) patients, osteopenia - level BMD - in 48 (43.7%), osteoporosis - in 2 (1.8%). In all premenopausal patients (n=15) axial skeleton BMD values were normal. Results. In 5-year interval radiographic progression was established in 40 patients (Group 2), while in 70 (Group 1) patients no progression occurred. Both groups were comparable in terms of age and disease duration, although, more patients from Group 2 tended to have normal baseline densitometry BMD values - both in lumbar vertebrae and femoral neck: 47.5% vs 37.1%, and 62.5% vs 44.3% as compared to Group 1 patients. Patients from Group 1 more often had BMD values corresponding to osteoporosis and osteopenia: 32.9% vs 22.5%, and 55.7% vs 37.5%, respectively, as compared to Group 2 patients, although not achieving statistical significance. These differences were still identifiable after 5-year interval. Absolute BMD values at the second examination in 5 years were indicative of statistically significant increase in femoral neck and total hip BMD in Group 2 patients with knee OA progression: 0.79±0.11 vs 0.73±0.16, р
