Abstract

We introduce the notion of n-homoderivation on a ring ℜ and show that a semiprime ring ℜ must have a nontrivial central ideal if it admits an appropriate n-homoderivation which is centralizing on some nontrivial one-sided ideal. Under similar hypotheses, we prove commutativity in prime rings.

3. Preopenness Degree in RL-Fuzzy Bitopological Spaces

Abstract

Based on the concept of pseudocomplement, we introduce a new representation of preopenness of L-fuzzy sets in RL-fuzzy bitopological spaces. The concepts of pairwise RL-fuzzy precontinuous and pairwise RL-fuzzy preirresolute functions are extended and discussed based on the i,j-RL-preopen gradation. Further, we follow up with a study of pairwise RL-fuzzy precompactness in RL-fuzzy bitopological spaces of an L-fuzzy set. We find that our paper offers more general results since RL-fuzzy bitopology is a generalization of L-bitopology, RL-bitopology, and L-fuzzy topology.

Abstract

The generalized growth of entire transcendental functions in terms of polynomial approximation errors in some Banach spaces has been studied by various authors. The main purpose of this paper is to study the harmonic polynomial approximation of entire harmonic functions in space ℝn, n≥3, in certain Banach spaces. Moreover, the generalized type of harmonic functions of slow growth has been characterized in terms of best harmonic polynomial approximation errors. Our results add new aspects for the case of order zero.

5. Centrally Extended α-Homoderivations on Prime and Semiprime Rings

Abstract

We present a new type of mappings called centrally extended α-homoderivations of a ring ℜ (i.e., a map H from ℜ into ℜ which satisfies Hx+y−Hx−Hy∈Zℜ and Hxy−HxHy−Hxαy−αxHy∈Zℜ for any x,y∈ℜ) where α is a mapping of ℜ and discuss the relationship between these mappings and other related mappings. Also, we study their effect on the center of a ring, and we give several outcomes on the commutativity of the ring.

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a more general approach to the fuzzification of fuzzy concavity. More specifically, the degree of L,M-fuzzy concavity is introduced and characterized as a generalization of L-concave structure and L,M-fuzzy concave structure. Based on that, the degree of L,M-fuzzy concavity preserving and L,M-fuzzy concave-to-concave of a function are defined. Some properties and relationships between the degree of L,M-fuzzy concavity preserving and L,M-fuzzy concave-to-concave functions are discussed.

Abstract

Based on the concepts of pseudocomplement of L-subsets and the implication operator where L is a completely distributive lattice with order-reversing involution, the definition of countable RL-fuzzy compactness degree and the Lindelöf property degree of an L-subset in RL-fuzzy topology are introduced and characterized. Since L-fuzzy topology in the sense of Kubiak and Šostak is a special case of RL-fuzzy topology, the degrees of RL-fuzzy compactness and the Lindelöf property are generalizations of the corresponding degrees in L-fuzzy topology.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study a new class of sets called (r, s)-generalized fuzzy b-regular weakly closed sets which is lies between the new class of (r,s)-fuzzy regular weakly closed sets and (r,s)-generalized fuzzy b-closed sets in double fuzzy topological spaces. Several fundamental properties are introduced and discussed. Furthermore, the relationships between the new concepts are introduced and established with some interesting counter examples.

Abstract

The ability to automatically generate accurate protocols for scientific experiments would represent a major step towards the automation of science. Large Language Models (LLMs) have impressive capabilities on a wide range of tasks, such as question answering and the generation of coherent text and code. However, LLMs can struggle with multi-step problems and long-term planning, which are crucial for designing scientific experiments. Moreover, evaluation of the accuracy of scientific protocols is challenging, because experiments can be described correctly in many different ways, require expert knowledge to evaluate, and cannot usually be executed automatically. Here we present an automatic evaluation framework for the task of planning experimental protocols, and we introduce BioProt: a dataset of biology protocols with corresponding pseudocode representations. To measure performance on generating scientific protocols, we use an LLM to convert a natural language protocol into pseudocode, and then evaluate an LLM's ability to reconstruct the pseudocode from a high-level description and a list of admissible pseudocode functions. We evaluate GPT-3 and GPT-4 on this task and explore their robustness. We externally validate the utility of pseudocode representations of text by generating accurate novel protocols using retrieved pseudocode, and we run a generated protocol successfully in our biological laboratory. Our framework is extensible to the evaluation and improvement of language model planning abilities in other areas of science or other areas that lack automatic evaluation., Comment: EMNLP 2023. Abstract

In this paper, we used the concept of (L,M)-fuzzy remote neighborhood system to study and establish the convergence theory of molecular nets. Next, we introduce the Ti-axioms (i = −1,0,1,2) in (L,M)-fuzzy topological molecular lattices, and discuss some of their characterizations. Finally, we show that the Ti-axioms (i = −1,0,1,2) are preserved under homeomorphisms.

Abstract

Cosmetic dermatology is a key subspecialty of academic dermatology. As such, academic centers are expected to demonstrate excellence in the teaching of cosmetic dermatology skills to trainees, the clinical delivery of cosmetic dermatology services to patients, and the performance of clinical research that advances knowledge and uncovers new therapies in cosmetic dermatology. The Association of Academic Cosmetic Dermatology (AACD), a newly formed medical professional society, includes as its principal aims the support of all of these areas. AACD is comprised of group of board-certified dermatologists who teach cosmetic and laser dermatology at US dermatology residency programs. An expert panel constituted by the AACD recently convened a workshop to review gaps pertaining to academic cosmetic dermatology. This panel considered needs and potential corrective initiatives in three domains: resident education, patient experience, and clinical research. The work of the panel was used to develop a roadmap, which was adopted by consensus, and which will serve to guide the AACD moving forward.

Abstract

Cosmetic and laser procedures are increasingly popular among patients and are skills in which dermatologists are regarded as well trained. Most dermatology residents intend to incorporate cosmetic procedures into their practice and prefer to learn such procedures during residency through direct patient care. However, there are notable challenges in optimizing how residents are trained in cosmetic and laser dermatology. To address these barriers and elevate the practice of cosmetic dermatology in academic medicine, the Association of Academic Cosmetic Dermatology (AACD) was founded in 2021 as the lead professional society for dermatologists who direct the education of resident trainees in cosmetic and laser dermatology. The AACD, a group of board-certified dermatologists who teach cosmetic and laser dermatology to residents, aims to improve cosmetic dermatology education through collaboration, research, and advocacy.
