Despite growing global concerns, there has been limited research on the characterization and distribution of microplastics in the Indonesian Throughflow (ITF) pathways, such as the Flores Sea. The Flores Sea is a component of the Indian–Pacific Current, a significant ocean current system that links the Pacific and Indian oceans and has the capacity to carry pollution over large marine ecosystems, making this research extremely important. Understanding the microplastic pollution in this area informs local environmental management. It provides insights into how these currents may distribute microplastics (MPs) across regional and global scales, impacting marine life and human health far beyond the immediate area. To respond to these concerns, this research aims to determine the characterization and distribution of MPs at six research sites in the Flores Sea that are precisely located within the ITF. This work exhibits an extensive dataset focusing on the occurrence, attributes, and dispersion of microplastics in the Flores Sea. The water sampling was carried out during a Jala Citra 3 by the Indonesian Navy from April to May 2023. Sea surface water samples were collected using a Neuston net, while sediment samples were taken from three stations at the shallowest depth using the Ekman Grab sampler. Additionally, abundance, size, shape, and color analyses were conducted using a light microscope, and microplastic types were identified through Raman spectroscopy. The results indicated that the Flores Sea waters and sediment are polluted with microplastics, with relative abundances ranging from 0.75 ± 0.49 to 2.13 ± 0.25 items/l samples. The most dominant shapes identified were filament (77.45%) and fragment (13.40%), with sizes varying between surface water 4.70 to 3799.25 μm and seabed from 67.20 mm to 2176.87 mm, while black (30.07%) and blue (24.51%) were reported as the common MPs colors. The identified polymers include PET and PE. This study confirms visual evidence of microplastics in the open waters of eastern Indonesia. While it may not fully capture the wide range of temporal variations, it establishes initial microplastic presence and dispersion levels. Given that the ITF influences both the Pacific and Indian Oceans, this research contributes to the global understanding of microplastic distribution across ocean basins, underscoring the need for coordinated international efforts to address marine pollution.

Independent oil palm smallholders in Indonesia contributed significantly to the sustainable of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) supply chain. On the other hand, sustainability in the process of implementing the supply chain system for independent smallholders is an issue that is extremely important for the success of the supply chain system for the CPO company. This study’s objective is to develop an alternative business model with the goal of strengthening the interaction that already exists between independent farmers and cooperatives in ensuring the existence of a supply chain for raw materials and having access to financial resources, knowledge, and technology. The selection of the research location considered several factors, including the size of the area’s oil palm plantations, the number of oil palm farmers who are self-sufficient, and the possibility of locating CPO plant. Study findings that, the new model by business canvas analysis as the upgraded model of existing model business recommended that it should be built based on the cooperative palm oil family which provides farmers with access to financial, replanting, intensification, and extensification and infrastructure by APKASINDO, BPDPKS, Bank, and other stakeholders to sustain the FFB supply chain in cooperation through a partnership program in a long-term scheme. This whole system was developed by corporate farming system based on the cooperative as the off taker of FFB farmers and develop mini plant CPO to produce cooking oil and biofuels and by product as the waste management system as the value added for farmers.

Research has been conducted to adsorb Fe (III) ions in borehole water from Haruru Village, Central Maluku District, and artificial wastewater using A-type zeolite synthesized from oil palm shell ash. The oil palm shell ash was chemically activated by washing with 2 M HCl, serving as a source of SiO2. The synthesized zeolite A underwent characterization using X-ray diffraction (XRD) to determine its crystallinity. Batch adsorption of Fe (III) ions using zeolite A in borehole water and artificial wastewater was performed, involving variations in contact time and adsorbed iron concentration, and was analyzed using atomic absorption spectroscopy. The XRD analysis results indicated that the peaks of zeolite A were more pronounced at a NaOH mass of 93.75 grams, totaling ten peaks. The analysis of the initial concentration of Fe (III) ions in borehole water was 1.2151 ppm, while in artificial wastewater, it was 2.00 ppm. The optimum capacity and efficiency of zeolite A for Fe (III) ions in borehole water from Haruru Village were observed at a contact time of 40 minutes, with a capacity value of 0.1558 mg/g and an efficiency of 10.26%.

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is a major problem globally characterized by poor survival rates, particularly in residential settings. A delay in administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) can reduce the survival rate, which is currently at 1 in 10. The chance of survival is influenced by several factors, including patient, population, and health system, particularly the actions of bystanders due to the need for immediate administration of CPR. Although the role of bystanders is very important in increasing the survival rate of cardiac arrest, not all individuals present at the scene are willing to carry out CPR due to personal characteristics. Therefore, this research aimed to explore the potential correlation between personal characteristics and the intention (willingness) to provide basic life support. The investigation was carried out in Malang City using descriptive correlation design and data were collected with questionnaires distributed through Google Forms. The sample consisted of residents of Malang City, with inclusion criteria comprising individuals aged between 17-65 years, not health workers or health students, and the ability to fill in data using Google Forms. After collection, the data obtained were processed descriptively using the SPSS 23 version. The results showed that among 283 respondents, 80.6% were in the early adult age range, 64% were female, 57.6% had the last education level SMA/SMK, and 65.4% were students. Furthermore, the analysis showed that the intentions of the majority of respondents were in the moderate range, accounting for 64.7%. Correlation analysis showed a significant association between personal characteristics and intention, where age, gender, level of education, occupation status, and experience had correlation scores of -0.089, 0.054, 0.107, 0.104, and -0.261. In conclusion, this research showed correlation strength for all characteristics ranging from very low to low, emphasizing the need to enhance the intention to perform bystander CPR across all levels. This is due to the very low correlation between community characteristics and intention. To overcome this challenge, a strategy that has been proven effective in increasing intention is educating the public regarding cardiac arrest assistance.

The inspection tool commonly used during the manufacture and acceptance testing of new machine tools or repair of old machine tools is the test bar. The test bar is a mandrel for calibration aids representing an axis to be checked within a given value, either for run-out or for location (position and orientation) in relation to other machine components. Conditions and performance on the precision of the machine will affect the products produced from the production process. Thus, the use of a test bar for the precision of a machine tool is carried out through a calibration process. At present, the need for test bars for the machine tool calibration process in Indonesia is a product imported from outside (imported), even though the manufacture of test bars allows it to be done independently. In this study, the between centre test bar was redesigned and made based on ISO 230-11 standards with the subject of examination for the straightness of the sledding movement in the horizontal and vertical planes referring to and DIN 8605. The stages of making the between-centre test bar include turning, heat treatment, cylinder grinding, and measurement. The accuracy of the geometry, such as the alignment of the diameter between-centre test bar is carried out using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) machine. Furthermore, the between-centre test bar is tested on a universal lathe to determine its feasibility through the process of checking the alignment of the spindle axis with the machine table in the vertical and horizontal directions (calibration).

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is an essential aspect of organizational functioning, especially in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. OCB behavior is a type of behavior that encourages the development of a positive work environment. This study uses Scopus and Scholar journal articles to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the antecedents and impacts of OCB in Indonesia; 789 documents were selected from 2019-2023 that have gone through manuscript selection. Bibliometric analysis with VOSViewer has explored the relationship between keywords, factors/antecedents of OCB behavior, and the impact of OCB behavior itself. The results of the Co-Occurance analysis showed that there were at least 46 antecedent items/factors that influenced OCB behavior. Items such as organizational commitment, motivation, perceived organizational support, organizational justice, organizational culture, transformational leadership, and job satisfaction were found to be widely researched and influenced by OCB. Meanwhile, the analysis found that OCB behavior has a significant influence and impact on at least 15 items, mainly on the variables of (1) employee performance, (2) job satisfaction, and (3) turnover intention, especially found a significant impact on employee performance. These findings underline that OCB behaviors are highly consistent with the organization's success, as proven by existing research. Organizations must maintain and enhance OCB behavior by establishing a positive and supportive work environment and culture that considers the factors influencing OCB.

Erucamide is a long-chain carboxylic acid amide used as a slip agent in plastic films. In this research, the slip additive in polypropylene masterbatch with 6% erucamide content was extracted by comparing two methods which are dissolution-precipitation and the Soxhlet method. The variant of sonication times in the dissolution-precipitation method and extractor-solvents in the Soxhlet method were done to determine the optimum parameter in each method. The examination of slip additive content in each extraction method used the KBr Disk-FTIR and the weight loss of sample analysis. The form of the sample, which was in the granule and powder form was also studied. Based on the result, the dissolution-precipitation method with 3 minutes of sonication times and the use of ethyl acetate as extractor solvent in the Soxhlet method gave a closer result for additive content in the masterbatch. The powder form of the sample also gave better results than the granule form for the extraction of erucamide. The Soxhlet method in the powder form showed comparable results with the dissolution-precipitation method by KBr Disk-FTIR analysis and higher results by weight loss analysis. By comparing the two methods of extraction, the Soxhlet method showed more robustness and efficiency for extraction of erucamide additive in polypropylene masterbatch than the dissolution-precipitation method.

Although there have been a few studies on written e-feedback in EFL writing coursework, the research on students’ perception of e-feedback practice in online learning in Indonesia's higher education context is still underexplored. This study aims to investigate EFL undergraduate students’ perception of the lecturers’ e-feedback practice during online thesis proposal writing coursework. Two students from two different classes were willing to participate in in-depth interviews. A descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis was employed as the research method. The findings revealed three prominent themes on how the students perceive the lecturers’ e-feedback practices. The participants perceived that the lecturers’ e-feedback practice: (1) scaffolded the participants to develop technical and conceptual writing skills, (2) supported the participants' personal and academic development, and (3) influenced the participants’ emotions. Students who initially felt unable to face online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic gradually got used to and overcame the feeling of being unable to take online courses. This study implies that the lecturers’ role in being thoughtful in delivering feedback to students is critical because e-feedback as a pedagogical practice influences students’ social and emotional learning process in writing their undergraduate thesis. Participants who initially felt unable to face online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic, in the end, finally succeeded in overcoming the feeling of not being able to take online courses for their undergraduate thesis writing because they were being scaffolded, supported, and influenced by the lecturers’ e-feedback practices during their online learning.

Purpose — The study aimed to examine the impact of financial performance, good corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility on the value of SRI Kehati index companies during the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically from 2020 to 2022. Method — This study employs a causal quantitative analysis approach to determine the cause-and-effect relationship between the independent and dependent variables. Data were collected from the annual reports and sustainability reports of companies listed on the IDX and included in the SRI Kehati index during the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis technique used in this study is panel data regression analysis, encompassing multiple companies and years. After data collection, Eviews 12 is used to process the data. Result — The findings of this study indicate that profitability has a significant impact on the value of SRI Kehati index firms. However, leverage, institutional ownership, and corporate social responsibility do not have a significant effect on the value of these companies. Novelty — The originality of this study stems from its sample, which consists of companies included in the SRI Kehati index listed on the IDX. The conclusions of this study also contradict earlier research. Previous studies have found that leverage, institutional ownership, and corporate social responsibility significantly impact firm value. However, in this study, these three factors did not affect company value.
