Abstract Variable viscosity, activation energy and microgravity effects on Darcy nanofluid for the thermal performance improvement in thermal energy storage systems through stretching flat plate solar collector is the focus of this research. Thermal energy storage (TES) can be improved though solar collectors, phase change materials and photovoltaic cells using nanofluid in the base liquid. To increase the reaction rate in nanoparticles, the activation energy and solar radiations are used for the efficiency of TES. The viscosity of nanofluid improves the heat and mass transmission. Due to solar radiations, nanofluid plays prominent role in TES applications such as heat exchangers, electronic cooling devices and solar power generation through solar plate collector. Solar energy based mathematical model is developed to execute the frequency of oscillating heat transfer in TES numerically. Primitive and Stokes coefficients are used for feasible programming. Finite difference analysis is performed to display oscillatory thermal energy using Gaussian-elimination matrix scheme. Steady velocity, surface temperature and concentrations are plotted and utilized in oscillatory formula to perform oscillatory skin friction, oscillatory heat transfer and oscillatory mass transfer along π⁄4 angle. Fluid velocity enhances but temperature and concentration variation decreases as viscosity decreases. High amplitude in velocity, temperature and concentration is sketched as activation energy and microgravity increases. Steady heat and mass transmission enhances as thermophoretic and Brownian motion enhances. Amplitude and frequency of oscillations in heat transport, skin friction and mass transport enhances as Prandtl and Schmidt component enhances. In validation of results, the 0.00064% percentage error for heat transport and 0.00102% percentage error for mass transmission are deduced.

Abstract This study investigates the thermal behaviour of unsteady hybrid nanofluid flow on an infinite vertical plate. The investigation takes into account parameters such as magnetohydrodynamics and radiation effects, as well as the stratified medium. The systems of equations were solved by employing the explicit finite difference approach of Dufort-Frankel method. The main motivation of the study is to compare the performance of water, magnetic oxide, and multi-wall carbon nanotubes as working fluids. Additionally, velocity, temperature, and concentration outlines are visualized through plots, elucidating the fluid behaviour. Tables are provided for the Skin friction, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number, offering comprehensive insights crucial for optimizing performance in engineering applications ranging from thermal management systems to renewable energy technologies. The main finding of this study indicates that the quantitative result reveals that the temperature outline escalates among increasing values of radiation. In contrast, the outlines of a velocity and concentration show a decrease as the values of magnetohydrodynamics increase. In addition, multi-walled carbon nanotubes consume a larger outcome on temperature. A statistical study displays that the thermal stream rate of magnetic oxide-multi-wall carbon nanotubes-water increases from 1.7615 percentages to 7.4415 percentages, respectively, when the volume fraction of nanoparticles rises from 0.01 to 0.05. Future research is important to understanding hybrid nanofluid flows and their applications in thermal engineering systems such as energy systems, nuclear reactors, biomedical applications, electronics cooling, solar thermal systems, chemical processing, and other heat transfer applications where improved thermal performance is crucial.

Financial engineering problems hold considerable significance in the academic realm, where there remains a continued demand for efficient methods to scrutinize and analyze these models. Within this investigation, we delved into a fractional nonlinear coupled system for option pricing and volatility. The model we examined can be conceptualized as a fractional nonlinear coupled wave alternative to the governing system of Black-Scholes option pricing. This introduced a leveraging effect, wherein stock volatility aligns with stock returns. To generate novel solitonic wave structures in the system, the present article introduced a generalized Ricatti mapping method and new Kudryashov method. Graphical representations, both in 3D and 2D formats, were employed to elucidate the system's response to pulse propagation. These visualizations enabled the anticipation of appropriate parameter values that align with the observed data. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of solutions was presented for different fractional order values. Additionally, the article showcases the comparison of wave profiles through 2D graphs. The results of this investigation suggested that the proposed method served as a highly reliable and flexible alternative for problem-solving, preserving the physical attributes inherent in realistic processes. To sum up, the main objective of our work was to conceptualize a fractional nonlinear coupled wave system as an alternative to the Black-Scholes option pricing model and investigate its implications on stock volatility and returns. Additionally, we aimed to apply and analyze methods for generating solitonic wave structures and compare their solutions for different fractional order values.

In this paper, we study the boundedness of the commutator of the rough fractional Hausdorff operator on grand-variable-Herz-Morrey spaces when the symbol functions belong to bounded mean oscillations (BMO) space.

The present study aims to consider a mathematical eco-epidemiological model involving two fractional operators. To this end, we provide approximate solutions to these fractional systems through the application of a numerical technique that is based on the rule of product integration. This feature contributes greatly to the efficiency and effectiveness of both methods. We have also presented some theoretical discussions related to the equilibrium points of the system. Further, several numerical simulations are presented in order to illustrate the impact of choosing different parameters on the dynamics of the model. It is demonstrated that the obtained numerical results are completely consistent with the expected theoretical results. Moreover, both techniques can be used to solve other problems in epidemiology and describe other problems in the future. The article's model has never been studied via the employed fractional operators, and this is a distinct point for our work and other existing research.

Both theoretical and applied mathematics depend heavily on integral inequalities with generalized convexity. Because of its many applications, the theory of integral inequalities is currently one of the areas of mathematics that is evolving at the fastest pace. In this paper, based on fuzzy Aumann’s integral theory, the Hermite–Hadamard’s type inequalities are introduced for a newly defined class of nonconvex functions, which is known as U·D preinvex fuzzy number-valued mappings (U·D preinvex F·N·V·Ms) on coordinates. Some Pachpatte-type inequalities are also established for the product of two U·D preinvex F·N·V·Ms, and some Hermite–Hadamard–Fejér-type inequalities are also acquired via fuzzy Aumann’s integrals. Additionally, several new generalized inequalities are also obtained for the special situations of the parameters. Additionally, some of the interesting remarks are provided to acquire the classical and new exceptional cases that can be considered as applications of the main outcomes. Lastly, a few suggested uses for these inequalities in numerical integration are made.

Cancer is a fatal disease for a very long time. It has its own history. Now it has become one of the major reasons for death due to its various types. Researchers, scientists and doctors are trying to find out the success and minimize the death rate in this field. The fact is, cancer treatment is only effective when it has been diagnosed at a very early stage. Therefore, cancer is a kind of provocative topic for analysis. In this paper, we have shown the growth of cancer cells, normal cells along with chemotherapeutic cells. We have shown that the effect of chemotherapeutic drugs is highest at the centre of tumour affected area. We have used the Yang–Abdel–Cattani fractional operator with Laplace transform for all numeric calculations. Apart from numerical calculations, we have also shown the graphical representation of cell growth.

Abstract This paper analyzes the two-dimensional chlorine-transport model in pipes. The studied model is in the form of a second-order partial differential equation with a set of boundary conditions. Obtaining exact solution for the current model is a challenge due to the nature of the involved boundary conditions, especially, when applying the Laplace transform. However, such difficulties are solved via implementing the method of residues. The exact solution is obtained in terms of the Bessel functions. The expression for a dimensionless cup-mixing average concentration is also derived analytically. The proposed approach is validated via numerical examples for comparing the results with those in the literature. The present analysis/approach is effective/straightforward and can be further applied on other similar models under different boundary conditions.

Abstract The aim of this work is to study qualitative properties of solutions for a fourth-order neutral nonlinear differential equation, driven by a p-Laplace differential operator. Some oscillation criteria for the equation under study have been obtained by comparison theory. The obtained results improve the well-known oscillation results present in the literature. Some examples are provided to show the applicability of the obtained results.

The main purpose of the present article is to construct a newly Szász-Jakimovski-Leviatan-type positive linear operators in the Dunkl analogue by the aid of Appell polynomials. In order to investigate the approximation properties of these operators, first we estimate the moments and obtain the basic results. Further, we study the approximation by the use of modulus of continuity in the spaces of the Lipschitz functions, Peetres K-functional, and weighted modulus of continuity. Moreover, we study A-statistical convergence of operators and approximation properties of the bivariate case.

This article is aimed at introducing an iterative scheme to approximate the common solution of split variational inclusion and a fixed-point problem of a finite collection of nonexpansive mappings. It is proven that under some suitable assumptions, the sequences achieved by the proposed iterative scheme converge strongly to a common element of the solution sets of these problems. Some consequences of the main theorem are also given. Finally, the convergence analysis of the sequences achieved from the iterative scheme is illustrated with the help of a numerical example.

The purpose of this article is to introduce a Kantorovich variant of Szász-Mirakjan operators by including the Dunkl analogue involving the Appell polynomials, namely, the Szász-Mirakjan-Jakimovski-Leviatan-type positive linear operators. We study the global approximation in terms of uniform modulus of smoothness and calculate the local direct theorems of the rate of convergence with the help of Lipschitz-type maximal functions in weighted space. Furthermore, the Voronovskaja-type approximation theorems of this new operator are also presented.

The emergence of higher-dimensional evolution equations in dissimilar scientific arenas has been on the rise recently with a vast concentration in optical fiber communications, shallow water waves, plasma physics, and fluid dynamics. Therefore, the present study deploys certain improved analytical methods to perform a solitonic analysis of the newly introduced three-dimensional nonlinear dynamical equations (all within the current year, 2024), which comprise the new (3 + 1) Kairat-II nonlinear equation, the latest (3 + 1) Kairat-X nonlinear equation, the new (3 + 1) Boussinesq type nonlinear equation, and the new (3 + 1) generalized nonlinear Korteweg–de Vries equation. Certainly, a solitonic analysis, or rather, the admittance of diverse solitonic solutions by these new models of interest, will greatly augment the findings at hand, which mainly deliberate on the satisfaction of the Painleve integrability property and the existence of solitonic structures using the classical Hirota method. Lastly, this study is relevant to contemporary research in many nonlinear scientific fields, like hyper-elasticity, material science, optical fibers, optics, and propagation of waves in nonlinear media, thereby unearthing several concealed features.

The problem of subsonic flow past three-dimensional micro-electro-mechanical-type (MEMS-type) heating elements placed on a flat surface, where the MEMS devices have hump-shaped surfaces, is investigated using the triple-deck theory. The compressible Navier–Stokes equations supplemented by the energy equation are considered in the limit when the Reynolds number is large. The dimensions of the MEMS devices considered are such that the flow perturbations are governed by the three-dimensional subsonic triple-deck equations formulated with the aid of method of matched expansions. The linear analysis of these equations is presented and our results provide an insight into how the MEMS heating elements may be used to positively control the local flow properties. In this study, the chemical investigation of Tetraena aegyptia (Zygophyllaceae) led to the identification of a new megastigmene derivative, tetraenone A ((2S, 5R, 6R, 7E)-2-hydroxy-5,6-dihydro-β-ionone) (1), along with (3S, 5R, 6S, 7E)-3-hydroxy-5,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-β-ionone- (2), 3,4-dihydroxy-cinnamyl alcohol-4-glucoside (3), 3β,19α-dihydroxy-ursan-28-oic acid (4), quinovic acid (5), p-coumaric acid (6), and ferulic acid (7), for the first time. The chemical structures of 1–7 were confirmed by analysis of their 1D and 2D NMR and HRESIMS spectra and by their comparison with the relevant literature. The absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were assigned based on NOESY interactions and ECD spectra. Conformational analysis showed that 1 existed exclusively in one of the two theoretically possible chair conformers with a predominant s-trans configuration for the 3-oxobut-1-en-1-yl group with the ring, while the half-chair conformer had a pseudo-axial hydroxy group that was predominant over the other half-chair conformation. Boat conformations were not among the most stable conformations, and the s-trans isomerism was in favor of s-cis configuration. In silico investigation revealed that 1 and 2 had more favorable binding interactions with Mpro rather than with TMPRSS2. Accordingly, molecular dynamic simulations were performed on the complexes of compounds 1 and 2 with Mpro to explore the stability of their interaction with the target protein structure. Compounds 1 and 2 might offer a possible starting point for developing covalent inhibitors of Mpro of SARS-CoV-2.

Rare genetic diseases are often caused by single-gene defects that affect various biological processes across different scales. However, it is challenging to identify the causal genes and understand the molecular mechanisms of these diseases. In this paper, we present a multiplex network approach to study the relationship between human diseases and genes. We construct a human disease network (HDN) and a human genome network (HGN) based on genotype–phenotype associations and gene interactions, respectively. We analyze 3771 rare diseases and find distinct phenotypic modules within each dimension that reflect the functional effects of gene mutations. These modules can also be used to predict novel gene candidates for unsolved rare diseases and to explore the cross-scale impact of gene perturbations. We compute various centrality measures for both networks and compare them. Our main finding is that diseases are weakly connected in the HDN, while genes are strongly connected in the HGN. This implies that diseases are relatively isolated from each other, while genes are involved in multiple biological processes. This result has implications for understanding the transmission of infectious diseases and the development of therapeutic interventions. We also show that not all diseases have the same potential to spread infections to other parts of the body, depending on their centrality in the HDN. Our results show that the phenotypic module formalism can capture the complexity of rare diseases beyond simple physical interaction networks and can be applied to study diseases arising from DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) sequencing errors. This study provides a novel network-based framework for integrating multi-scale data and advancing the understanding and diagnosis of rare genetic diseases.

This paper re-analyzes the falling body problem in three dimensions, taking into account the effect of the Earth’s rotation (ER). Accordingly, the analytic solution of the three-dimensional model is obtained. Since the ER is quite slow, the three coupled differential equations of motion are usually approximated by neglecting all high order terms. Furthermore, the theoretical aspects describing the nature of the falling point in the rotating frame and the original inertial frame are proved. The theoretical and numerical results are illustrated and discussed.
