In this study, we used time-dependent density functional theory DFT/TD-DFT methods in its B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) formalism to model and analyze various properties of conjugated organic compounds. More specifically, the targeted systems consist of a D donor unit (carbazole), an A acceptor unit (benzothiadiazole) and various donor motifs. Quantum simulation via DFT/TD-DFT has enabled us to assess their fundamental electronic structures, boundary energy levels and optical absorption properties.Using AMPS1D software, we carried out an in-depth analysis of the photovoltaic properties of six compounds associated with the PCBM acceptor. These compounds were classified into two distinct categories. In the initial section, we evaluated the energy conversion efficiency of compounds, with performances between 7% to 11%. The second section presented the addition of a PEDOT layer between the active layer and the anode, which significantly improved photovoltaic performance, reaching a maximum efficiency of 15%. These results underline the positive impact of PEDOT addition on photovoltaic conversion and its potential for organic solar cells. In conclusion, our results indicate that these compounds represent promising candidates for future applications.

In the industrial context, the smooth running of production requires the proper functioning of the machines as well as the quality of the products manufactured. In practice, production, maintenance, and quality are often managed separately, despite their close linkage. Therefore, it is essential to jointly manage production, maintenance, and quality strategies to ensure the overall performance of the company. For these reasons, this paper presents a recent and relevant literature review of existing joint maintenance, production, and quality management models. It also discusses how to enhance their applicability in the industry. First, we start with a classification of the selected publications according to different criteria. Second, we provide a detailed analysis of the integration of production, maintenance, and quality control policies studied in the literature. Then, we introduce optimization methods for the integrated models and validation tools for these models. Thirdly, we discuss the findings of the state-of-the-art analysis on the integrated management of production, maintenance, and quality. Finally, we conclude by highlighting the contributions obtained and suggesting future research directions.

Introduction Compared with workers in other sectors, hospital workers are victims of high rates of non-fatal workplace assault injuries worldwide. Unfortunately, a large amount of these injuries is a result from violent acts committed by patients. International research has focused on perceived reasons for patient violence among physicians and patients. Objectives To determine the prevalence and factors of patient-to worker violence in two hospitals in the central-eastern region of Tunisia. Methods A cross-sectional bi-centric study was conducted in two teaching hospitals. This study included all healthcare workers of these hospitals. Data collection was performed by a structured self-administered questionnaire related to demographic and professional characteristics of participants. Participants were asked about violence where the perpetrators were patients using a questionnaire developed and validated by a Jordanian team to evaluate Violence. Beck’s Depression Inventory II and Rosenberg self-esteem scale were chosen to explore self-esteem issues and mood disorders. The Fagerstrom test for nicotine dependence was used to assess cigarette dependence. The Internet addiction test was used to evaluate internet addiction. Results The response rate was of 19%. The mean age of the sample was 34.5 ±9.6 years. In work sit, 46.9% (n=239) reported being exposed to at least one incident of patient-to-worker violence. Exposure to verbal violence was reported by 92.1% of workers. Among the sample, 18.9% of participants reported feelings of low self-esteem. Asked about depressive symptoms, appetite problems were reported in 77.1% of cases. A significant association was found between patient-to-worker violence, nationality (p= 0.01) and occupation (p= 0.01) of respondents. Results showed also that patient-to-worker violence was significantly associated with smoking (p=0.043), the degree of cigarette addiction (≤10-3) and alcohol consumption (p=0.008). Mood disorders were associated to exposure to patient-to-worker violence. An increased risk to be exposure to incidents of physical violence was found among workers with depressive symptoms. Also, reporting physical violence was associated with self-esteem issues and feelings of worthlessness. Conclusions Violence has become an alarming hazard in hospitals. This study showed the association between different factors and the exposure to patient-to-worker violence incidents in two hospitals. Being exposed to patient-to-worker violence has negative impacts. Some of type II violence’s consequences are to impact quality of life of workers, depression, psychological squeals, effectiveness of work and the decrease of quality of care. In order to reduce patient-to-worker violence, urgent prevention programs should be incorporated in hospitals. Disclosure of Interest None Declared

The purpose of this article is to deal with subcontracting strategies in the context of production, maintenance and quality integration. We study the multi-item capacitated lot-sizing problem for a production system composed of a single machine. The production system is considered imperfect, producing both conforming and non-conforming items. However, the deterioration of the system is a function of the time and production rate, which affects the quality of the manufactured items. Consequently, a quality control strategy is established, the aim is to inspect, adjust and control the manufactured items. To solve our problem, an evolutive optimization approach is proposed, namely the genetic algorithm (GA). Then, in order to adjust the parameters of GA, we use the Taguchi method. This article is one of the few documents dealing with integrated production management, maintenance and quality under subcontracting constraints that takes into account the complex aspect of the multi-item manufacturing industry. Then, a sensitivity analysis is also carried out to illustrate the robustness of the proposed control policy. Finally, we compare our results with the literature to validate our approach and highlight the advantage of subcontracting in minimizing costs.

The analysis of microelectronic and photonic structures-one dimension (AMPS-1D) was used to study and simulate the performance of organic heterojunction solar cells based on D1 –B-Edot-B-D2-A as electron donors, and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) as an electron acceptor. The organic photovoltaic cell devices using T3-B-Edot-B-T3-A/PCBM showed the improved open-circuit voltage Voc, short-circuit current density Jsc, fill factor FF, and power conversion efficiency PCE values for the optimum thickness of 120 nm and the effective state density of electrons and holes of 1021cm−3.The P3-B-Edot-B-T3-A/PCBM and P3-B-Edot-B-P3-A/PCBM based devices exhibited a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 9.295% and 8.735%, respectively, which outperformed the corresponding T3-B-Edot-B-T3-A/PCBM, Cbz-B-Edot-B-T3-A/PCBM, F-B-Edot-B-T3-A/PCBM, and A-B-Edot-B-T3-A/PCBM based devices (7.330, 6.622, 7.226, and 7.327%). More importantly, the P3-B-Edot-B-T3-A/PCBM and P3-B-Edot-B-P3-A/PCBM -based device delivered the highest PCE of 14.432% and 15.031% respectively, when we deposit a layer of PEDOT between the indium tin oxide (ITO) and the active layer, which is a clear improvement over other results in the literature.

The OLED “organic light-emitting diode” has been highly industrialized for several years, especially since their use in smartphones and televisions. OLEDs have attracted a lot of attention because of their desirable characteristics including their low consumption of electrical energy, their flexibility... Our work focuses on the simulation of a single-layer OLED based on an organic material (ITO/P3BEdotBT3A/Ca) using the SILVACO-TCAD simulation software. This simulation allowed us to visualize the operational distribution of Langevin recombination within the proposed structure, and to determine the electrical and optical characteristics, such as luminescence power, current versus electric field, and current versus voltage (the I-V characteristics) for different thicknesses and doping concentration of the emitting layer.
