Aim: to study the severity of surgical menopause (postovariectomy syndrome), anxiety, depression and sexual function in patients with borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) after radical treatment, depending on management in the rehabilitation period.Materials and Methods. There were examined 62 women of reproductive age (42.0 ± 4.1 years) after radical treatment of BOTs: Group I - 29 patients were observed during rehabilitation period according to the standards and the National Clinical Guidelines and underwent a 12-month Comprehensive Personalized Rehabilitation Program; Group II - 33 non-participating rehabilitation program patients. The Modified Menopausal Index (MMI) and all related constituent subscales, the level of anxiety and depression according to the HADS (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale), as well as sexual function according to the FSFI (Female Sexual Function Index) scale were assessed prior to surgery as well as 1, 6, and 12 months afterwards.Results. All study participants noted significantly aggravated symptoms related to surgical menopause as early as 1 month after treatment: the total MMI increased from 10.9 ± 2.2 score (lacked manifestations of surgical menopause) up to 37.0 ± 6.3 score (moderate manifestations) in Group I and from 10.5 ± 2.0 score (lacked manifestations of surgical menopause) up to 35.8 ± 4.3 score (moderate manifestations) in Group II. By the 12 months, MMI decreased down to 22.2 ± 4.6 score (mild manifestations) in Group I and remained almost unchanged in Group II - 36.9 ± 8.0 (moderate manifestations). In 93.1 % and 81.8 % women from Group I and Group II, respectively, 1 month after antitumor therapy, disorders of the psycho-emotional sphere were observed. In Group I, after 12 months parameters returned to preoperative baseline magnitude, whereas in Group II 87.9 % of patients noted their significant altered values. A twofold decrease in anxiety values according to the HADS was observed in Group I after 12 months of rehabilitation therapy, whereas in Group II, it was also decreased, but to a lower degree. While assessing level of depression, it was found to gradually increase in Group II within the first year after the operation, whereas in Group I it was steadily decreased. Within 1 month after radical treatment of BOTs, a significant decrease in sexual function and the FSFI index was observed in all women of reproductive age (from 23.7 ± 5.5 to 4.0 ± 1.2 score in Group I and from 23.4 ± 5.3 up to 4.0 ± 1.3 score in Group II). After 12 months of comprehensive rehabilitation, sexual function was almost completely recovered in Group I (22.5 ± 5.4 score), whereas in Group II sexual dysfunction was markedly evident (14.9 ± 6.4 score).Conclusion. Comprehensive personalized rehabilitation can reduce the negative symptoms of surgical menopause, normalize the psycho-emotional state, increase sexual function, and hence, improve the quality of life of patients with BOTs of reproductive age after radical treatment.

Aim: to evaluate the quality of life parameters dynamics in patients with vulvar cancer I and II stages during postoperative rehabilitation.Materials and Methods. A prospective comparative randomized study included 47 women with vulvar cancer I–II stages, aged 38 to 70 years, with an average age of 56.3 ± 3.9 years. Patients were randomized into 2 groups: 24 of them underwent postoperative rehabilitation and 23 were included in the comparison group. Quality of life and sexual function, as well as psycho-emotional state were assessed using a set of questionnaires: quality of life of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QLQ-C30, Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General (FACT-G) with an extension for vulvar cancer, Female Sexuality Index (FSFI) and WAM (well-being, activity, mood).Results. Patient who receiving postoperative rehabilitation even during the first three months, a reliable positive dynamics of all parameters of FSFI and EORTC, except cognitive function, was noted. At the same time, in the patients not undergoing postoperative rehabilitation program there was no reliable difference in the results of the questionnaires, except for FSFI, but the severity of changes was significantly less than in the patients of the research group. Dynamics in the EORTC parameters in women in postoperative rehabilitation averaged 14.8 points with 7.8 points in the comparison group. In the FACT-G questionnaire, the dynamics were even more pronounced with 19.9 and 6.8 points respectively. There was a reliable positive trend in improving the quality of sexual life and a decrease in the percentage of women suffer from pain and discomfort during sexual intercourse: from 25,0 % (n = 6) to 4,2 % (n = 1) in the study group and from 21,7 % (n = 5) to 13,0 % (n = 3) in the comparison group. Improvement in sexual desire and satisfaction during the year was noted in 5 (20.8 %) women in the study group and only 2 (8.7 %) in the comparison group.Conclusion. The developed program of postoperative rehabilitation of patients with vulvar cancer, which includes individual and group psychotherapy, "anti-cancer diet therapy", dosed physical activity, dynamic correction of vaginal biocoenosis showed high efficiency already during the first 6 months. All patients with vulvar cancer in the postoperative period should receive active rehabilitation aimed at correction of psycho-emotional state and sexual function, which will improve the quality of life and improve further prognosis.

Aim: to examine intensity of surgical menopause symptoms (postovariectomy syndrome, POES) in patients with borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) after radical surgery depending on the postoperative period management; to assess a role for “cancer immunotherapy diet”* as a standalone means in correction of surgical menopause symptoms as well as a part of patient-specific rehabilitation program.Materials and Methods. A prospective comparative study was conducted with 62 BOTs female patients aged 30 to 48 (42.0 ± 4.1) years underwent radical surgical treatment, subdivided into 3 groups: group I – “active” rehabilitation (29 subjects underwent 12 month-comprehensive personalized rehabilitation); group II – “passive” rehabilitation (17 women with standard management of the postoperative period in accordance with clinical recommendations); group III – 16 patients followed the one-year “cancer immunotherapy diet” (after being consulted by medical specialist and formulation of individual diet program). Patient data obtained after clinical interview, physical, laboratory and instrumental examinations were assessed at four time points: before surgery (visit 0), after 1, 6 and 12 months (visits 1, 2, 3) after antitumor treatment. In addition, every visit required each patient to fill out the modified Kupperman menopausal index (MMI) questionnaire specifically adapted for BOTs patients. Intensity of neurovegetative, psycho-emotional and metabolic manifestations of surgical menopause symptoms was assessed at various stages of post-surgery period and management strategy during post-surgery period.Results. All BOTs patients one month after radical surgical treatment noted overt signs of surgical menopause. Before surgery, the average MMI score corresponded to normal range – 10.9 (group I), 10.5 (group II), 10.4 (group III), whereas during visit 1 it changed to 37.1, 35.2 and 36.4, respectively evidencing about moderate severity of POES. MMI largely depended on management strategy 6 and 12 months after the onset of therapy: in “active” rehabilitation group it was 27.7 (visit 2) and 22.2 (visit 3), “passive” rehabilitation group – 39.1 (visit 2) and 42.6 (visit 3), “cancer immunotherapy diet” group – 34.1 (visit 2) and 30.8 (visit 3). In addition, distribution of patients based on body mass index (BMI) revealed various types of impaired fat metabolism (IFM) in 59.68 % subjects at visit 0, that increased one month after surgery up to 64.52 %, whereas 6 and 12 months later it decreased down to 62.90 and 61.29 %, respectively. However, end-point results in different groups varied substantially: In particular, at visit 3 in group I 55.17 % (n = 16) subjects had normal BMI, 37.93 % (n = 11) – class I obesity and 6.90 % (n = 2) – class II obesity. The end-point results in group II revealed no patients with normal BMI: 76.47 % (n = 13) and 23.53 % (n = 4) had class I and class II obesity, respectively. Finally, end-point results in group III were at intermediate state: 50.0 % (n = 8) subjects showed normal BMI, whereas 37.5 % (n = 6) and 12.5 % (n = 2) patients demonstrated class I and class II obesity, respectively.Conclusion. Adjuvant therapy of surgical menopause symptoms represents an important component in rehabilitation program for BOTs patients underwent radical surgery. A personalized rehabilitation program demonstrates peak efficacy in correcting surgical menopause symptoms (essential to include “cancer immunotherapy diet” therein). Even isolated administration of diet therapy profoundly reduces intensity of surgical menopause symptoms, thereby improving the quality of woman’s life.

Aim: to make a comparative evaluation of women with borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) and surgical menopause (early symptoms) and explore their level of anxiety and depression depending on the age and volume of surgery.Materials and methods. The prospective comparative study included 117 patients, aged 44.3 ± 6.5 years, after surgical treatment of BOTs: 62 women at reproductive age with surgical menopause after radical treatment (group IА), 24 women at reproductive age after organ-preserving surgery (group IВ), 31 women at perimenopausal age after radical treatment (group II). The severity of menopausal syndrome (modified menopausal Kupperman–Uvarova index), anxiety and depression (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, HADS) were determined 29–59 (36.4 ± 5.6) days after surgery.Results. Early symptoms of surgical menopause are found in 98.3 % of patients with BOTs. Reproductive age patients after radical surgery (group IA) had moderate neurovegetative (21.7 ± 4.0 points), mild metabolic (5.8 ± 1.8 points), and moderate psychoemotional disorders (8.9 ± 1.4 points). Young women who underwent organ-saving operations with preservation of at least one ovary (group IB), had normal range the indicators of neurovegetative disorders (8.2 ± 3.1 points), metabolic and psychoemotional disorders were regarded as moderate (2.6 ± 1.6 and 5.9 ± 2.3 points, respectively). Disorders due to surgical menopause (early symptoms) at perimenopausal age females (group II) corresponded to a mild degree: neurovegetative – 15.3 ± 2.7 points; metabolic – 6.0 ± 2.2 points; psychoemotional – 5.7 ± 1.5 points. Our data indicate that patients of group IA had moderate surgical menopause (early symptoms) – 36.4 ± 5.4 points, while in groups IB and II the total values were 16.8 ± 5.4 and 27.0 ± 4.3 points, which corresponds to mild severity. Patients with BOTs (one month after antitumor therapy) had early symptoms of surgical menopause (postovariectomy syndrome). The most typical clinical picture was observed among young women after removal of both ovaries.Conclusion. Surgical menopause affects by somatic and psychological health negatively. This leads to a significant decrease in the quality of life and an increase in the level of disability among patients with gynecological cancer. Therefore, even at the planning treatment, it is necessary to include pre-rehabilitation measures to minimize the negative consequences of cancer therapy.

Aim: to assess the psycho-emotional profile in patients with vulvar lichen sclerosus.Materials and methods. We examined 57 patients with a diagnosis of vulvar lichen sclerosus, the average age of 35.0 ± 0.6 (from 18 to 45) years. The control group included 45 healthy women without dystrophic changes in the external genital organs, who applied for a routine examination. The following methods were used to analyze the psycho-emotional profile: WAM questionnaire (well-being, activity, mood), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI).Results. In patients with vulvar lichen sclerosus a decrease in indicators “well-being” (24.3 ± 1.7 versus 52.4 ± 5.6 scores) and “mood” (28.7 ± 3.6 versus 58.1 ± 6.1 scores) was revealed; “activity” was changed slightly (41.2 ± 3.2 against 47.4 ± 4.9 scores). Depressive (75.4 % versus 15.6 %) and anxiety (68.4 % versus 20 %) disorders were also more common in this group. Significant deterioration in the quality of life in patients was confirmed by a DIQL (18.79 ± 4.98 scores).Conclusion. Psycho-emotional profile of patients with vulvar lichen sclerosus is characterized by a change in most of the analyzed parameters. The presence of anxiety-depressive disorders can aggravate both the general somatic state and the course of the underlying disease. So activities aimed at improving the quality of life should be included in the rehabilitation of these patients.

Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is one of the main clinical symptoms of the diseases of female internal reproductive organs. AUB cannot be considered as the specific symptom of a particular disease. To know the causes of AUB is necessary for rational treatment strategy. Aim. to study the peculiarities of endometrial state of the patients suffering from AUB and the combination of different forms of pathological endometrial (E) changes on the background of AUB. Material. the results of histological examination of endometrium (E) samples taken from 688 patients. Results. the structure of pathological changes of endometrium in case of AUB was identified. Conclusion. complex endometrial hyperplasia and atypical endometrial hyperplasia occur without any regularity on the background of various changes of E reflecting the state of both hypo- and hyper-estrogenia.

In the study, the authors consider classical classification methods for the applied problem of image recognition. Accuracy, computation time, classifier size, training time for the following methods are considered: "Fully Connected Neural Network", "Convolutional Neural Network", "Recurrent Neural Network", "Decision Tree", "Gradient Boosted Trees", "Logistic Regression", "Markov", "Naive Bayes", "Nearest Neighbors", "Random Forest", "Support Vector Machine". A new approach "Neural Network with Hash" is proposed, which represents image preprocessing using polynomial hashing. Collision resolution is performed by a fast method of open addressing. A computer experiment on classification by 10 classes was carried out on a dataset of 600 animal images using the Wolfram mathematical package. For the proposed approach with preprocessing, the results showed the same classification accuracy as the classical methods, and a higher training and computational speed than the "Convolutional Neural Network" and "Recurrent Neural Network".

Introduction. The article deals with absurd and paradoxical proverbs resulting from the categorization of proverbial semantics according to the criterion of ‘relation to reality’ in the ontological or logical aspects. Goals. The study aims to identify quantitative and qualitative features of ontological and logical contradictions to reality traced in semantics of Tuvan proverbs. Materials and methods. The work analyzes a total of 770 Tuvan proverbs contained in Tuvan Proverbs and Sayings (1966), Proverbs and Sayings of the Tuvan People (2020), and other sources. The publication employs the author’s methodology for semantics categorization of aphoristic units and their differentiation into semantic types according to the criterion of ‘relation to reality’. Results. The article reveals that one in eight Tuvan proverbs literally (in the direct sense) contradict the existing order of things in the world. The ontological nature of a contradiction to reality in a proverb is implemented via the semantics of the absurd, which is motivated by a situational or verbal context, and it is impossible to interpret the literal content of the proverb — from the viewpoint of logical (rational) thinking — being unaware of that very context. The logical nature of the contradiction to reality in the proverb is implemented via the semantics of the paradox, which can be motivated epistemologically, semantically or formally, and logically. Only one structural part of a proverb can be contrary to reality, and this part always dominates in terms of general content. The Tuvan proverbs that contradict reality are distinguished by the presence of absurdity semantics in one of their structural parts, and that of paradox in the other one. Conclusions. An unexpectedly large number of absurd and paradoxical proverbs in the Tuvan proverb corpus attests to that it is reality’s perception and comprehension — based on the ontological and/or logical contradictions to objective reality — that take a significant place in the Tuvan view of the world.

Aphorism, despite its antiquity and universality as a speech genre, still does not have a generally accepted understanding of its properties as a small text form and characteristics of its place among other types of miniature texts. The object of the study is to determine the nature of the relationship between aphorism and small text forms that function in existing types of discourse (oral, written, electronic). Research methods - heuristic, descriptive, linguistic text analysis, structural-semantic modeling and discourse analysis. The material for the study covers both aphoristic units as separate texts and as structural elements of nonaphoristic texts - a total of about 100,000 aphorisms from more than 300 reference, literary and other sources. As a result of the study, it was found that aphorism is not a specific type of text, since it can be equally successfully generated and function as different text forms in different types of discourse (oral, written, electronic). Aphorisms can be literary sayings (classical and modern varieties), and literary works-miniatures (including their national varieties), and one-phrase texts (in most of their discursive and genre forms), and paremiological units (proverbs, folk signs, jokes, etc.). In relation to all existing varieties of small text forms, it is advisable to consider the concept of aphorism either as a categorical one (if we are talking about miniature texts that have a differential sign of aphorism - a generalized universal content), or as a classificatory one (if we are talking about the entire corpus of miniature texts in the sense of their differentiation into two categories of units - “aphorisms” and “non-aphorisms”). Aphorisms cannot be involvedr into paradigmatic relations with those small text forms (apophegms, chryas, wellerisms, etc.) that have a superphrasal structure and are capable of including aphorisms as compositional elements.

In modern Russian studies, much attention has been paid to the study of proverbs and catch phrases as the main varieties of language aphorisms (aphoristic units). In this regard, it is relevant to determine their own linguistic characteristics, including functional ones. The aim of the study is to establish and describe the obligatory and optional functions of proverbs and catch phrases as aphoristic units, to establish unique functions of language aphorisms in speech and text. The material of the study includes the most popular proverbs and catch phrases among the units of the paremiological minimum and the basic paremiology used in written speech. The main method in the research is the descriptive method based on functional modelling of language units with the help of contextual and stylistic analysis. It was found that all the basic functions of the language (basic and derivatives) are inherent in proverbs and catch phrases as aphoristic units. The obligatory functions of language aphorisms are communicative, cognitive, nominative and cumulative ones; the optional functions are emotive, metalinguistic, phatic, voluntative, empirical, axiological, referential, aesthetic, and ritual ones; the unique functions are universalizing and style-forming ones. The unique functions of aphoristic units determine each other, are completely and diversely used in fiction, journalistic and scientific-philosophical texts.

With the help of laser ablation, a technology for obtaining nanosized crystalline selenium particles (SeNPs) has been created. The SeNPs do not exhibit significant toxic properties, in contrast to molecular selenium compounds. The administration of SeNPs can significantly increase the viabilities of SH-SY5Y and PCMF cells after radiation exposure. The introduction of such nanoparticles into the animal body protects proteins and DNA from radiation-induced damage. The number of chromosomal breaks and oxidized proteins decreases in irradiated mice treated with SeNPs. Using hematological tests, it was found that a decrease in radiation-induced leukopenia and thrombocytopenia is observed when selenium nanoparticles are injected into mice before exposure to ionizing radiation. The administration of SeNPs to animals 5 h before radiation exposure in sublethal and lethal doses significantly increases their survival rate. The modification dose factor for animal survival was 1.2. It has been shown that the introduction of selenium nanoparticles significantly normalizes gene expression in the cells of the red bone marrow of mice after exposure to ionizing radiation. Thus, it has been demonstrated that SeNPs are a new gene-protective and radioprotective agent that can significantly reduce the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.

A multiplexed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) that simultaneously measures antibody binding to multiple antigens can extend the impact of serosurveillance studies, particularly if the assay approaches the simplicity, robustness, and accuracy of a conventional single-antigen ELISA. Here, we report on the development of multiSero, an open-source multiplex ELISA platform for measuring antibody responses to viral infection. Our assay consists of three parts: (1) an ELISA against an array of proteins in a 96-well format; (2) automated imaging of each well of the ELISA array using an open-source plate reader; and (3) automated measurement of optical densities for each protein within the array using an open-source analysis pipeline. We validated the platform by comparing antibody binding to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) antigens in 217 human sera samples, showing high sensitivity (0.978), specificity (0.977), positive predictive value (0.978), and negative predictive value (0.977) for classifying seropositivity, a high correlation of multiSero determined antibody titers with commercially available SARS-CoV-2 antibody tests, and antigen-specific changes in antibody titer dynamics upon vaccination. The open-source format and accessibility of our multiSero platform can contribute to the adoption of multiplexed ELISA arrays for serosurveillance studies, for SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens of significance.

In recent years, composite materials including organic–inorganic systems have drawn special attention due to their enhanced properties such as adsorbents and heterogeneous catalysts. At the same time, large-scale production of environmentally benign functionalized biopolymers, such as chitosan (CS), allows for constantly developing new materials, since CS reveals remarkable properties as a stabilizing agent for metal-containing compounds and enzymes and as an adsorbent of organic molecules. This review is focused on CS-based materials and on the composite systems including CS-oxide and CS-metal composites in particular for application as adsorbents and supports for catalytically active metal nanoparticles and enzymes.

The article presents an attempt to establish and describe the main properties of aphorism as an object of linguistics. In modern linguistics, a number of researches are devoted to the study of aphorism as a phrase text and a fixed phrase. However, the concept of aphorism in linguistics does not have its own definition. In this regard, the analysis of the linguistically relevant properties of the aphorism that characterize its linguistic nature is of current importance. The purpose of the study is to determine and describe the minimum number of the most linguistically significant properties of an aphorism, to establish their obligatory / optional character, their specificity / generality (for aphorism and more than a word units close to it). Research methods - descriptive method, structural, semantic, functional, discursive, stylistic analysis, taxonomy. The material for the research was the statements in Russian, English, Belarusian, Polish, contained in written texts of different genres, as well as in compilations from various sources, in reference editions, in the title of which the term aphorism (or its derivative - aphoristic ) was used. The total number of analyzed units is over 50,000 from over 120 sources. As a result of the study, it was found that linguistically relevant properties of aphorism (differentiating it as an object of linguistics) are more than a word nature, one phrase structure, generalized meaning, nominative nature, discursive autonomy, textuality, reproducibility, stability, idiomatic nature, expressiveness of the verbal form. A number of properties coincide in aphorisms and phraseological units (more than word nature, reproducibility, stability, idiomatic nature), but none is obligatory for aphorism. Obligatory properties of aphorism are one phrase structure, generalized meaning, nominative nature, discursive autonomy. The main (differential) property of aphorism as an object of linguistics is the generalized meaning, which in relation to the expressed reality has a specific character - universal character. The introduction of linguistically relevant features of aphorism into science allows it to be defined in terms of linguistics as a one-phrase unit, nominative, discursively autonomous, predominantly more than a word units, reproducible, fixed unit that differs from all other more than a word units in one specific property - the generalized meaning (a universal generalization of reality). This property characterizes aphorisms as a variety of linguistic units (phrase texts or fixed phrases), determines their discursive autonomy and nominative nature, and manifests the categorical quality of their content plan - aphoristic nature.

The manufacturing of paper with new functional properties is a current problem today. A method of modifying the surface layer of paper by the partial dissolution of cellulose on its surface is proposed. N-Methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) is proposed for use as a solvent, the regeneration of which provides an environmentally friendly process. It was shown that among the possible hydrate forms of the solvent, the monohydrate and higher-melting forms are optimal for modifying the paper surface. The temperature–time modes of processing were revealed and the weight gain and density increase in the course of modification were estimated. The structural and morphological features of the original and modified paper were studied by X-ray imaging and scanning microscopy. The NMMO surface treatment makes it possible to vary the air permeability of the paper, making it practically non-permeable. The capillary and pore system were radically transformed after the partial dissolution of cellulose and its coagulation, as the formed cellulose film isolates them, which leads to a decrease in surface absorbency. The processing conditions allowing for the optimization of the optical and strength properties of the modified paper samples are revealed. The resulting paper with a modified N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide surface layer can be used for printing valuable documents.

Development of eco-friendly and biodegradable package materials is an important goal of modern science and international industry. Poly(lactic)-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) is suitable for this purpose. However, biocompatible materials may be contaminated with bacteria. This problem may be solved by the addition of metal oxides nanoparticles (NPs) with antibacterial properties. Although metal oxides NPs often show cytotoxicity against plant and mammalian cells, a new nanocomposite based on PLGA and aluminum oxide (Al2O3) NPs has been developed. The PLGA/Al2O3 NP composite has pronounced antibacterial properties. The addition of Al2O3 NPs 0.01% inhibited growth of E. coli for >50%. The antimicrobial effect of Al2O3 NPs is implemented through the generation of reactive oxygen species and damage of bacterial proteins and DNA. The biocompatibility of the nanocomposite with plant and mammalian cells was studied. The PLGA/Al2O3 NP composite did not influence the growth and development of tomatoes and cucumbers. PLGA and its composite with Al2O3 NPs 0.001–0.1% did not influence viability and proliferation of mammalian cells, on their density or substrate colonization rate. The developed nanocomposite has controlled mechanical properties, high antibacterial activity and high biocompatibility, which makes it an attractive candidate for building and food package material manufacture and agriculture.

L’écriture est située au premier rang des activités techniques du relationniste aux côtés des tâches managériales, même si souvent elle est perçue comme ingrate et désagréable, car liée aux activités prescriptives et imposées. Pourtant, l’incapacité d’écrire pour divers publics internes et externes a pour conséquence la mauvaise presse des RP. Face au manque de programmes universitaires et de formations continues, les relationnistes apprennent souvent sur le terrain à écrire et à éditer des supports d’information et de communication. Et si les organisations ouvraient leurs portes à ceux qui maîtrisent l’art d’écrire ? L’écriture est au centre des compétences journalistiques et les rédactions des RP embauchent depuis des décennies d’anciens journalistes professionnels. Cependant, les activités hybrides qui naissent de cette union sont très critiquables et contestées et donnent vie à des métiers qui n’ont aucune légitimité ni reconnaissance, mais qui existent dans les organisations comme pratiques d’origine journalistique intégrées à l’exercice des RP.

Background: Proteins oxidized by the action of X-rays represent long-lived reactive species, which trigger the secondary generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). A change in the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) content induced by various physical impacts may be an important factor of the therapeutic effect and the adaptation of the organism to unfavorable environmental conditions. Moderate hyperthermia and a number of physiotherapeutic procedures leading to a local warming of tissues are widely used in medical practice. However, the biological mechanisms of their curative effect are poorly understood. The prolonged generation of H2O2 long-lived reactive protein species (LRPS) after heating may be one of the mechanisms of activation of protective cellular mechanisms and thus to contribute to overcoming the disease. Aim: To investigate if the serum proteins bovine serum albumin (BSA) and bovine gamma-globulin (BGG) can form LRPS under moderate hyperthermia and show that heat induces LRPS, which in turn continuously generate ROS, in particular H2O2. Materials and methods: LRPS were studied by measuring the heat-induced chemiluminescence of protein solutions using a specially elaborated highly sensitive photon-counting chemiluminometer Biotoks-7 AM. The Results: Here we studied the possibility of formation of long-lived species of the blood serum proteins BSA and BGG in air-saturated solutions under the action of heat. It is shown that heat induces the generation of long-lived protein species, which in turn generate ROS (1O2, О2-•, OH•, H2O2). The formation of the long-lived reactive species of BSA and BGG with a half-life of about 4 h induced by moderate hyperthermia was revealed using the chemiluminescence of protein solutions. It was found that long-lived reactive species of BSA and BGG cause prolonged generation of H2O2. Conclusion: Thus, we found a new fundamental property of serum proteins: by the action of moderate heating, they are able to transform into LRPS that produce H2O2 over a long period of time. Therefore, it cannot be excluded that the heat treatment during physiotherapeutic procedures in clinical practice is accompanied by local heating and the formation of LRPS. H2O2 generated by these species may participate in signaling pathways and induce adaptive response in humans.
