Background: This study presents an overview of our technique and the perioperative outcomes for the first 100 patients who underwent minimally invasive endoscopic-assisted off-pump multivessel bypass grafting (endoscopic coronary artery bypass [endo-CAB]) at the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven. Methods: The first 100 patients undergoing multivessel endo-CAB from May 2022 to March 2024 were included in this retrospective, single-center, observational study (N=100). The study encompassed both elective and urgent surgical revascularization. In all cases, endoscopic-assisted harvesting of the internal mammary artery, radial artery, or saphenous vein was performed, followed by beating-heart anastomoses through a mini-thoracotomy. Results: A total of 226 distal anastomoses were performed, utilizing 102 left internal mammary arteries, 80 radial arteries, 30 right internal mammary arteries, and 14 saphenous veins. On average, each patient had 2.3 anastomoses. A Y graft configuration was employed in 78 patients, in-situ bilateral internal mammary artery inflow in 19 patients, and a proximal aortic graft in 3 patients. Four patients underwent concurrent arrhythmia surgery. Eleven patients received hybrid revascularization. There was 1 conversion to sternotomy (1%) and 3 instances where cardiopulmonary bypass was required (3%). The median operation time was 3.3 hours (interquartile range, 3.0–3.7 hours), and the median hospital stay was 4.0 days (interquartile range, 3–4 days). The in-hospital mortality rate was 1%. Conclusion: Multivessel off-pump endo-CAB surgery can be safely performed with endoscopic- assisted conduit harvesting. Combining the benefits of a minimally invasive and anaortic approach may improve perioperative outcomes for patients requiring surgical revascularization. Further studies are necessary to establish the role of this technique in routine coronary surgery.

REALTIME3D is an innovative Mixed-Reality (MR) photogrammetry system that integrates photogrammetry, UAV technology, and VR/AR solutions to enable real-time 3D infrastructure inspection. By combining these technologies, the system allows users to remotely access, visualize, and measure 3D stereoscopic models in real time. An operator on-site pilots a UAV equipped with the stereo cameras, while experts, utilizing VR headsets, can observe and analyze the object of interest from remote locations. This approach enhances cost efficiency and safety during inspections of large-scale, critical structures. The paper introduces the first prototype of the system, detailing its hardware and software components.

Abstract Background The expectations for the clinical and laboratory phases of tissue-supported complete dentures (TSCDs) are changing. Currently, there is a trend towards fast, comfortable, reliable, and low-cost methods. In TSCD impressions, simplified impression and digital impression methods involving the use of an intraoral scanner (IOS) are becoming preferable. Given this situation, this study aims to compare different conventional and digital impression methods used in TSCDs. Methods Patients with maxillary complete edentulism and healthy oral mucosa were included in this study. In the digital group, two different impressions were made using an IOS (Trios4) without (D1) and with (D2) artificial intelligence scanning (AI-Scan). In addition, a modified impression (D3) was made using the IOS in two steps, including the occlusal rim. In the conventional group, a two-step impression (C1) using an individual tray with zinc oxide eugenol and a one-step simplified impression (C2) using a stock tray with irreversible hydrocolloid were made. The comparison groups were determined to be C1-C2, C1-D1, D1-D2, and D1-D3. The best-fit algorithm was used to superimpose the impressions to be compared. The right and left vestibular areas, postdam area, palatal area, right and left matching area, entire surface, and borders were evaluated separately. Results Fifteen patients were included in this study. In the C1-C2 group, the mean deviation at the borders was statistically significant (p = 0.01). No regions in the C1-D1 and D1-D3 groups exhibited significant differences in the mean amount of deviation (p > 0,05). In the D1-D2 group, the mean deviation in the palatal area was significant (p = 0,03). Conclusion In maxillary edentulism, digital impressions have shown comparable results to conventional impressions, suggesting promising implications for clinical applications. This study investigates the seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in horses from seven villages in the province of Kars in north-eastern Turkey. A total of 189 serum samples from clinically healthy, local crossbred horses were tested for anti-T. gondii antibodies using the Sabin-Feldman dye test. Antibodies to T. gondii were found in 39 (20.6%) horses, with specific titres of 1 : 16 (27), 1 : 64 (11) and 1 : 256 (1). The 95% confidence interval for the population proportion ranged from 13.3 to 27.9%. The number of seropositive horses in Yucelen village (40%) was considerably higher than in other villages, whereas in the villages of Caglayan (8%) and Cerme (10.5%) the seroprevalence was lower than elsewhere. However, the differences in seroprevalence between the seven villages were not statistically significant (P > 0.05). In contrast, the overall seroprevalence in the province of Kars was significantly higher than that reported previously in studies carried out on army and private horse stud farms elsewhere in Turkey (P < 0.05). The relevance of these findings to the epizootiology of toxoplasmosis in Kars and Turkey is discussed.
